I recently bought both the powerbeats fit to replace my broken beats fit pro for workouts and the AirPods Pro 3 for daily use. Here are my first impressions: The Positives: - Case in hand feels nicer than the old version. - The actual earbuds also seem nicer, the wingtip seems more durable - The new wingtips are WAY more comfortable than the old version for extended use, the old version would literally make my upper ear crack and bleed so this is very welcome. - Noise cancelation is as great as the old ones, but not fantastic, especially compared to the APP3 The Negatives: - Does not get as loud as I remember the old version getting, APP3 is louder at the same levels - Audio quality is nowhere near the APP3 - Bass response is much worse than the APP3. I frankly expected more bass out of a beats product. TLDR; don’t expect anything near the APP3, but if you are like me and want something that won’t fall out and has decent audio quality these do the job. Absolutely don’t upgrade from the Beats Fit Pro if they are fine for you comfort wise, don’t expect any improvement in sound either. Overall a disappointing product but I’ll still keep them as I’m in the Apple ecosystem and these seem to be the only earbuds which won’t slip out of my ears every 5 min.
r/beatsbydre • A quick first impressions of the Powerbeats Fit (as a prev gen and AirPods Pro 3 owner) ->I've used the Beats Fit Pro for 4 years, thrown them in the wash too many times and they are still rocking. I think they've replaced it with this : [https://www.apple.com/nz/shop/product/ME2J4PA/A/powerbeats-fit-wireless-fitness-earbuds-with-secure-fit-jet-black?fnode=792aea0583061078a6ce05feec7cb4a47ec8ab2271af2f6df5d18f8f9fc3816041c223dae6539d01153621428983f10700ef9bc408d13cd1134bc0d0c588d402b6e563cece9e126df0696bbcb3baad2b2030adffbf0d852b4f27dcfc0cfa3fc86a4c183b9a85a84d564c3f18f2a26fd8](https://www.apple.com/nz/shop/product/ME2J4PA/A/powerbeats-fit-wireless-fitness-earbuds-with-secure-fit-jet-black?fnode=792aea0583061078a6ce05feec7cb4a47ec8ab2271af2f6df5d18f8f9fc3816041c223dae6539d01153621428983f10700ef9bc408d13cd1134bc0d0c588d402b6e563cece9e126df0696bbcb3baad2b2030adffbf0d852b4f27dcfc0cfa3fc86a4c183b9a85a84d564c3f18f2a26fd8)
r/newzealand • Help Headphone Recommendations ->Of the ones on this list, the ones I had the most trouble with is the beats fit bro. Go figure.
r/Earbuds • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended wireless earbuds in the past year ->I personally think I had a lemon, but the audio quality on mine was not good. My APP2 were much better which shouldn't be the case?
r/Earbuds • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended wireless earbuds in the past year ->Just make sure you have a way to return. The AirPods 4 ANC works well for many people but it also falls out the ears of many others. Only dedicated sports buds like the excellent Powerbeats Fit (internally like an AirPod Pro 1st generation) with a wingtip lock in almost any ear with no worries.
r/airpods • AirPods 4 ANC for the gym? ->Yep, the bass and ANC are worse compared to Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Fit. The Powerbeats Pro of course didn’t have ANC but had the most bass of any of them. As a sports bud in the Apple ecosystem I recommend the Powerbeats Fit.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2.. Disappointing ->Just got mine (previous user of Beats Fit Pro for 4 years, and first time user of AirPods Pro 3 for 2 weeks since this is the first time those have fit...) 1. The sound, ANC, and transparency as expected are essentially identical to my Beats Fit Pro. They remain very good IMHO but the sound is a slight notch below AirPods Pro 3 (which has tighter, crisper bass and significantly brighter treble) to my ear. Still I really like the sound and would be happy with these if I didn't have the APP3 to compare it to as a non-audiophile. The ANC is again very good bringing the ambient sounds way down but the new AirPods Pro 3 all but eliminate external sound completely (sometimes I actually prefer a hint of the outside world ironically so when my wife is calling me I hear it enough I can pull a bud out of my ear, but still if you want total quiet then APP3 is better.) Transparency sounds very natural but a tad quieter than real outside the ear volume while APP3 matches the outside world better. All in all I find it a very satisificatory experience and if this was my only earbud it would be more than fine, but still... sound, ANC, and transparency are not at APP3 level. 2. Comfort is 98% the same as the Beats Fit Pro. I think it might be a hint better with a softer more rounded wingtip and the softer touch of the earbud surface itself but its a very minor difference and I'm not sure it matters to any significant degree over time. They still lock in equally well and the FIT is the best of any earbud I've ever worn BY FAR, just like the Beats Fit Pro. The new APP3 fits me well (for the first time, all previous AirPods fell out) but there is NOTHING like the feel of these tiny earbuds locking in, there is just a weird "security" feeling when you know they won't shift at all... with the APP3 they don't fall out but I'm always subtly aware of them and kind of adjusting them from time to time. All in all I much prefer the fit of the Powerbeats Fit vs. the APP3 but that doesn't mean the APP3 is "bad" or anything. 3. The new 17% smaller case was actually significantly smaller in person than I expected. Not only is the "square" smaller it is thinner, so sitting in a pocket it is much closer to the AirPods case than before and doesnt make nearly as unsightly a bulge. The case is a big win if only they had added wireless charging which of course they did not, a totally inexplicable omission in 2025 because it was already bizarre when the Beats Fit Pro launched without it back in 2021. Also while I never hated the "cheap" feel of the Beats Fit Pro case, the new case certainly provides a tighter feel to the hinge and the cover no longer shifts side to side in the hand making it feel higher quality compared to the old case... however the AirPods Pro 3 case still feels more premium overall. 4. It's also a bummer that the Powerbeats Fit don't have any of the AirPods Pro 3 special features such as live translations, hearing aid mode, adaptive transparency, or automatic transparency when speaking. Those are all killer features being left out. I'm spoiled, I'm keeping the Powerbeats Fit and the AirPods Pro 3 and my current plan is to use AirPods Pro 3 around the house or in airplanes and hotels on the road while using Powerbeats Fit for workouts and when I do anything where I think I need total security (mowing the yard, working in the garage etc.) If I could only have ONE of these? I think it would STILL be the Powerbeats Fit since the fit is so flawless in all situations and they look the coolest. I'd gladly pay $299 for Powerbeats Fit "Pro" buds that had the APP3 tech, or gladly buy a AirPods Sport Pro that had these in white direct from Apple with the APP3 tech but it seems Apple in their wisdom wants the world to be filled with the iconic white stems that lead people directly to their ecosystem. The lack of an H2 chip and corresponding improvements to sound, ANC, and transparency it would bring remain disappointing at the $199 price point but the amazing fit, smaller case, and softer more flexible surfaces of the Powerbeats Fit still make it a great choice if you are buying your first wingtip style in-ear fitness earbud or if you are replacing a damaged or fading battery version of the Beats Fit Pro. I also suspect that at holidays these will quickly be found at $149-179 a more palatable price. In all I still recommend them despite being a bit bitter Apple is gatekeeping better features from this amazing little earbud.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Fit review. Previous Beats Fit Pro user and owner of AirPods Pro 3. ->absolutely. another low hanging fruit for this product. maybe its just me but I \*love\* ... truly love ... the Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Fit. They totally eliminate the need for a hook while maintaining incredible security fit and comfort for nearly all ears yet for whatever reason Apple and Beats just aren't showing them their full love I can only assume to make sure AirPods Pro remain the "best" earbuds on the market.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Fit review. Previous Beats Fit Pro user and owner of AirPods Pro 3. ->They both get very loud, louder than I would want or could listen to more than briefly. However the APP3 clearly gets louder than the Powerbeats Fit. Again for me it's not an issue because both can get more than loud enough for 99% I bet. APP3 has better sound quality full stop in my mind. It would be better in a gym or on a couch... it's great with tighter bass, brighter treble and it just feels "fuller." Now again, the Powerbeats Fit has a lot of great bass too, but the mids and highs are flatter and the music seems "further away" like you are listening to music vs. the music is in your skull on the APP3. I know I make it seem with my words the Powerbeats Fit is bad or something... it is NOT, it is great sounding and honestly I only notice the difference when I listen to the same song back to back but once I put the Powerbeats Fit in my ears I enjoy the music and would have zero trouble enjoying extended listening. Honestly when you say this about APP3: "Like I wish I could turn down the volume a bit on voices and highs, and turn up the bass" makes me think you might have different tastes from mine and you might enjoy the the sound of the Powerbeats Fit that has maybe 5% less bass but 25% less highs if you know what I mean?
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Fit review. Previous Beats Fit Pro user and owner of AirPods Pro 3. ->Word of warning, if they haven’t fixed the “hook” durability I’d be careful with your money. Or at least get one of those cheap replacement warranties. The issue is the hook that goes into your ear will [eventually come apart](https://www.reddit.com/r/beatsbydre/s/2H5s3F01HG), which is so silly to me because it causes the entire device to be useless. There are now aftercare parts to replace the hooks but they require professional tools and it’s not easy for the average consumer to do it. Powerbeats Pro used to have the same issue but they fixed it with the recent releases. Even the marketing for Powerbeats Pro uses the stronger hooks in its advertising.
r/apple • New Powerbeats Fit Earbuds – Colors and Features Leaked ->Went the with the newer version of the Apple Powerbeats fit, I use an iPhone and they connect well and work well. Not perfect, but I like the sound better than my Sonys.
r/Jabra • What buds are people going for now we can't go for Jabra? ->Great review. Overall, the Beats Powerbeats Fit are the best option for just ONE pair of BT earbuds. Ideally, the Pros 3 are meant everyday use, and Fits are meant for physical activities. This is how Apple designed them.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Fit review. Previous Beats Fit Pro user and owner of AirPods Pro 3. ->I wear my Bose Quietcomfort-Ultra earbuds for cycling daily (outdoors) and my gym needs. They have wingtips that lock into the ears. I've been using Bose earbuds for my gym needs for many MANY years (before TWS, I was using the Bose Soundsport wired bluetooth, then before that the soundsport wired hooked to a Jabra BT3030 streaming pendant). They always stay secure in my ears. Although the Bose QC-Ultra is out of your budget. The old (discontinued) Bose QC2 (Quietcomfort Earbuds ii) were discontinued last year, but you can still find plenty of new-old-stock around. The QC2 is essentially a second generation TWS earbud from Bose. The QC-Ultra is kinda like a v2.5 of the Bose QC2 (practically identical with a few minor tweaks, but otherwise the same). I've seen the QC2 earbuds selling for under $150 new-in-box on eBay. I sold my used (but fully cleaned/sanitized and still fully functional) QC2 earbuds for $70 on ebay last month (upgraded to the QC-Ultra over the black friday sale)
r/Earbuds • Best Earbuds for Working Out? - Recommend me some please! ->Beats Powerbeats fit. Spend the extra $50. Worth it
r/Earbuds • Best Earbuds ->I bought these a few days ago from Amazon and went to return them since I bought the old gen as well. They offered 40$ off so I kept em. Def not worth 213$ but they’re the only tjingsthatvstabin my ears and at 172$ it’s not as bad.
r/beatsbydre • A quick first impressions of the Powerbeats Fit (as a prev gen and AirPods Pro 3 owner) ->Idk if it’s just me but the ANC and volume seem worse compared to first gen. I’m hearing a lot more noise in the gym than I used too with the old ones. I got the new ones for 173$ so I’m not too miffed but at least this pair is a seemingly downgrade.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Fit review. Previous Beats Fit Pro user and owner of AirPods Pro 3. ->I wish I had that experience but I’m hearing music and conversations I never did while at the gym. Had two people behind me while I was in a corner about 30 feet behind me and I could hear them. I’m hearing the gym music where I never did before at 55-70% volume. These buds or at least this pair is a clear downgrade. Perhaps I’m very sensitive with noise though. Same ear bud inserts or whatever I’m pretty sure.
