Got them today. I had the PBP1 for about 3 years. I tried swapping them back & forth during the same songs & PBP1 sounds fuller, deeper. I used the xl tips to make sure it was a tight seal. The PBP2 sound tinnier, the midrange/treble sounding slightly lower quality, probably due to the new smaller driver size. I’m torn on returning them because I was really looking forward to these. But my old ones sound just fine/possibly better : /
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->After comparing them some more, there’s no question about it; the old ones just sound fuller/better. As much as I like the new design I’m gonna return them this weekend.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->I would definitely go with the Powerbeats Pro 2 https://amzn.to/3HUwPxp
r/Earbuds • AirPods Pro 2 vs Powerbeats Pro 2 vs Denon Perl Pro – Best choice around $200? ->Based on what you said about integration, sound quality, and qol. I definitely think they are better than airpods.
r/Earbuds • AirPods Pro 2 vs Powerbeats Pro 2 vs Denon Perl Pro – Best choice around $200? ->Just got my v2, updated it, tested the fit, and then did an extensive sound comparison test against Powerbeats Pro 1, AirPods Pro 1 & 2, Sony XM4, and DT990 Pro (Motu M2). The most disappointing comparison was against its own gen 1...as the OP said, the highs are tiny, harsh, and the mids are muddy/unclear overall at some point. I would rank the PBPv2 last on my list. I will promptly return it and continue to use the gen 1, despite its battery issues.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->Since I’ve tried them which has been long but noise cancellation seems a lot weaker than AirPods Pro 2s and sound quality seems a lot weaker . Hoping for possible update hopefully . Like the fit very well . Will test for another week before possibly returning.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->Been using Powerbeats pro for years, they’re great for working out. I just upgraded to the 2nd version they’re great
r/AppleFitnessPlus • Best Earbuds for Running? Need Ones That Stay Put ->I own both so I can speak for this comparison : 1. I totally agree. But it's not like the PBP2s are AirPods 4 ANC level, no. They're better than that and pretty near the APP2s, given you have the right ear tips size. 2. True, but in my case I don't even use anything MagSafe, so just having USB-C and Wireless Charging is massive since the APP2s can charge via the Apple Watch puck. 3. Yes it does. It even has multipoint, as I just proved it just now. The lack of "always on the widget" feature the APP2s have does make me sad but I can just check for battery whenever I wanna use it. 4. It's rumored to come in a future update. It's an H2 exclusive feature so it'd be a crime if Apple didn't use it since even the AP4s have it. 5. Yeah, but that's what you'd expect from a performance oriented earbuds. Still miles better than the 1st gens. 6. IPX4 water resistance do you mean? The PBP2s have IPX4 for both case and earbuds like the APP2s 7. Well, yes it's kind of a gimmick. But you gotta remember it only kicks in when you're in an activity that needs it. If not then it's just idle, sucking up no extra battery at all. Yes, I agree though, the APP2s are still superior but to say WAY BEHIND is just isn't fully true. The PBP2s sound better IMHO, definitely fit better, ARGUABLY looks better, and is more versatile since it's performance-oriented to begin with. And to expect Beats to create earbuds that are better than Apple's own flagship earbuds is just never a good expectation to have. Beats are under Apple's umbrella now, no way are they gonna let them be better than AirPods Pros. Plus they don't technically directly compete against each other anyways since the APPs are more for daily / casual use whilst the PBPs are more for athletes or people that move around a lot. Just my take, though :)
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->Power Beats Pro 2 I like them because you can don’t have to have both ears covered
r/audible • Headphones ->They sound terrible compared to AirPod Pro 2s.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->Honestly? IEMs. For actually being on the move and surviving near anything you just can't beat dedicated exercise earphones. A lot of them don't have the very best sound, but you can actually stick with Beats here for something premium like the Fit Pro or Powerbeats Pro 2 that can take a splash and stay securely in your ears while still offering a reasonably fun sound.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Looking for super durable headphones, ~400$ ->I hear you but you have to believe Apple/Beats knew charging was the big weak spot in the Powerbeats Pro and led to all kinds of warranty and out of warranty issues so I’d imagine it would be a big focus of the new design to prevent that from ever being an issue again. One of the YouTube reviews mentioned that the magnets were way stronger in the Powerbeats Pro 2 and showed how with the case OPEN you could shake the case upside down and the Powerbeats Pro 2 would not disconnect or stop charging for what it is worth.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I think the design was inherently flawed and they didn’t want to do a running fix for whatever reason. I’d hope since this is a new model with redesigned everything this was their chance to do the fix.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->If you're in the market for Beats get the Powerbeats Pro 2. The hook is more stable, has better battery, H2 chip instead of H1.
r/Earbuds • Sports Earbuds recommendations? ->The sound quality is majorly lacking all around. Comparing them to my AirPod pro 2 is night and day.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I just recently upgraded to the Shockz Openfit 2 and I am so impressed! As someone who usually prefers good sound quality in headphones, these have both the incredible Shockz comfort and fit, the sound quality was really solid as well. I tried the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones recently, and the Openfit 2 were significantly better in my opinion.
r/Marathon_Training • What is the most reliable brand of running headphones that sounds great and works the best for runners? Is Shockz right? ->They sound fine. They don’t sound good. Nowhere near great. The Method 360 ANC curb stomp them.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->There just not good sounding. You can get them to be serviceable after all that work, but they’re not even Method 360 good, let alone any good in their price range.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->DISCLAIMER: UPDATE THEM. GO THROUGH ALL YOUR AUDIO SETTINGS. I was ready to return these, but it turns out that Apple just enables EVERY setting possible. They have a day 1 update, which makes them sound a bit better. But after doing the update, you still need to turn all those settings off. These are very sensitive to the headphone accommodation settings and Spatial Audio. Turn it all off and work your way up from there to where you want them. They’re quite good after. Punchy, a little more centered than AirPods Pro, better instrument separation, a nice set that works well if you make sure to update and clean house.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I was hoping these would replace my AirPods Pro because they fit my ears badly. Idk, I may send the Powerbeats back because the sound is just not there. Further experimentation needed.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I second this as an owner of the PBP 1 & now PBP 2. A bit more adjustment to fit the seal on the PBP 2. I think perhaps it’s due to the PBP 2 buds being lighter in weight and simply not weighing more to press themselves in for a tighter seal. Once sealed, they are fantastic. No complaints and I really like the ANC personally. As a disclaimer, my ANC expectations were low.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->I am having the same issue. Other then that, it doesnt seem like my Active Noise Cancelation is working either. Have you had the same problem?
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->Just picked up some Power Beats Pro 2 (I've had the original for ages and they were starting to go). I love them. Great sound. Good fit. But as someone else mentioned, getting the right fit is so personal. AirPods I cannot keep in my ears even sitting still. I have a pair of the Beats Pro with the wings and I like them, but they never feel quite as secure and I find myself adjusting them fairly often. Likely my weird ears.
r/AppleFitnessPlus • Best Earbuds for Running? Need Ones That Stay Put ->Same here, returning mine, can't stand the sound quality. My one year old AirPods Pro 2's sounds epic compared to this.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->PBP2. Better than the reviews, you may need 3rd party ear tips but they are just as good as AP2
r/beatsbydre • Earbuds for gym workouts? ->Got mine this morning and not impressed and returning. Was expecting them to sound at least as good as my APP2 but they aren’t. Sound harsh to me, all tips tried to rule that out. Disappointed but there we go. Happy to stick with the APP2. If you prioritise physical buttons and locked in fit, etc. then of course these should do it for you. Incidentally, they were auto swapping from my iPhone to Mac so they DO have that feature.
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->That’s interesting as I found the difference between PBP2 & APP2 is similar to APP1 to APP2. So makes sense the APP1 & PBP2 sound similar. 👍🏻
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->Try the PBP2 and see if they work for you first. If you’re able to get a precise fit, they’re pretty great, but they’re very dependent on you getting a good, precise fit, otherwise they don’t sound great. Otherwise, if you buy them from Apple, you can return it within 14 days, no questions asked. For me, they fit very well with the XL tips and noise cancellation is nearly as good as my APP2, while sound quality is somewhere between the BFP (try those too, wing tips are great) and APP2. I can’t recommend the PBP1. They have amazing sound but they’re very old, have connectivity issues, and have a long standing problem with charging consistently in their case. If you want an alternative, try the Beats Fit Pro. You’ll be surprised how well they fit.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro or Powerbeats Pro 2 - Gym Bag 2025 ->I returned mine specifically because of this. Sounds tinny and shrill.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->It doesn’t just reconnect for mine. I love the sound but I’ve lost a lot of life stupidly fiddling with the magnets and resetting over and over. I’m about done. I just use mine for workouts and the over the ears are great with the sound quality. But the lack of connecting is such a frustration
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->My husband got me Power Beats Pro 2! Amazing!! I heard shokz has pretty bad sound quality, and I NEED my music to keep me pumped and going! The sound is amazing on my Beats. Has transparency mode and noise cancelling!
r/beginnerrunning • Which headphones do you use for RUNNING? ->They suck!!! The sound is so bad! And the volume is horrible!! If you had air pods before you can definitely tell these are low quality! I’m actually returning today for AirPods! These are a joke!! The noise cancellation is so inferior when it comes to AirPods! Do not waste your money !!!
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I've found exactly the same harshness - like you I need the XL ear tips but I still find that I need to adjust them in my ears every few minutes. I also have AirPods 4 which fit well and sound great - in fact, quite surprisingly, the AirPods 4 sound very close to the sound of my Sony WH-1000XM5's! (I used to sell high-end audio equipment and come from a technical background.) If listening to hip-hop, edm, workout playlists, etc the Powerbeats sound quite good, but, for example, higher voices, guitar or horns sound overwhelming and harsh, so much so that I am thinking of returning the Powerbeats. Listening to Sam Fender Hypersonic Missiles or something older like Earth Wind & Fire's September and the sound is harsh and fatiguing. It seems to be the 5Khz-6Khz region that is the root of the problem. I use Apple Music on Hi-Res-Lossless. Perhaps a solution for me could be to also subscribe to Spotify and set Spotify's EQ to compensate for the harshness.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->It is so bad that I've just returned my pair for a refund, but I also had a 30-minute chat with Apple Support, he wasn't a Beats specialist but was very open to discussing the problem and I pointed him to the multiple discussions on Reddit about the harshness - he's written in the support notes that the problem appears to be wide-spread. I'm not sure if it will get taken further and fixed with a software update, or even how long that would take, so I opted to send mine back whilst I still could.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->You have to really push the ear tip into the ear with these. My OG PB1 didn't require much adjusting because the ear tip is longer. The PB2 have a shorter tip and I have to grab the ear bud and rotate it to direct the tip in more to get a good seal. L worked for me.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->I had PBP until they died and loved them. I got Beat Fits Pro after that and they were goodish not as good as the OG PBP. The PBP 2 are just disappointing. Wish I would have returned them when I was in the window to do so.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->I think the connect/charging issue people are talking about is when one side will just drop out even though there is plenty of charge in it. If you put it back in the case and take it back out again, it reconnects.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->i feel like i can’t be the only one underwhelmed by the sound quality. Just got them from Target and they sound so high pitched? like there is a weird frequency going on that make the sound more tinny. I’m coming from Airpod Pro 2s and it’s a night and day difference. I just updated my Powerbeats from 7B15 to 7B24 and no ‘fix’ yet in sound quality issues. I’m going to let some music play in them for a bit to see if it improves over time. Other than the sound quality, i really love how secure they feel in my ears, however i really dislike the beats logo being a button that’s easily press-able while adjusting them.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->After i went into Headphone Accommodations settings and turned it off completely the audio definitely improved but still not on par with airpod pro 2s. For whatever reason Headphone Accommodation settings affect the Powerbeats Pro 2’s more than the Airpod Pro 2’s
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I tried the new buds for a couple days but decided to send them back. I think they are a great product and likely a great upgrade from the previous generation, but it really comes down to priorities and fit. They are way better for working out but I found them a little painful after a couple hours due to the shape/size of the actual buds. The case is still huge by comparison. They take longer to install in your ears and I would start/stop my music multiple times with each installation because the button is right where I intuitively want to press the buds into my ear. This is more of a minor frustration compared to the first two issues. For working out, I'm going to stick with the silicone wings I've been installing on my AirPods for workouts.
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->Really hard for me to say. I primarily use headphones for the gym and that's it. Don't really listen to music on them outside of yard work or the gym so I'm about as casual listener as you can find. Listening to a few songs and swapping between pbp 1 and 2 I really couldn't tell much of a difference in audio quality. I did swap to XL for pbp 2 and now feel they pretty much sound the same as pbp 1 with still maybe slight less bass but it's barely different if at all to my ears. Don't need the HR monitor and I'm not a runner or anything so I don't even really need ANC. Starting to wonder if these are even worth the upgrade since my pbp 1 still work fine. I also don't even think they're any more or less comfortable than pbp 1. The case being smaller is nice but I always keep them in my gym bag so that doesn't matter. I'm an android user so USB- C over apple charging port is nice.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->highly recommend pro beats but now looking at the new pro beats 2. i think they have a smaller case.
r/onebag • What earbuds/headphones do you use? ->I have been running for a couple years in AirPod Pro 2s. Recently, the waterproofing seemed to go out in one of them. I let them dry out for a wile and they work again until I sweat heavily. I’m now using Power Beats Pro 2 and I generally like them. They have transparency mode too.
r/beginnerrunning • Which headphones do you use for RUNNING? ->Pre ordered and can’t wait to get mine. Since i started working out i used the Powerbeats from the pb3 to the pro and now the pro2.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I have Powerbeats 2 & 3, beat fit pro, Powerbeats pro (x2), AirPod Pro 1 & 2 and an old pair of beat solo 2 I’ve spent my fair share and this doesn’t count all the versions I have given as gifts. Just got the Powerbeats Pro2 yesterday (as a gift) and as I sit here typing this I’m also thinking how can I tell my gf that they suck and I want to return and just get another pair of AirPod Pro2. It’s funny Apple states same chip but yet PBP2 have less features than AirPod Pro2. Isn’t hearing loss still important? And I’m sorry but as weird as this sounds the AirPod pro2 sounds better. The shape is not great either. The first gen fit great shape wise. They seemed to lock into the shape of my ear and they stayed put. These don’t move around (yet) but they feel loose and for some reason when playing a song they keep stopping. I’ve triple checked and my phone screen is facing outward. A quick press of the button and song picks up where it stopped but three times while playing one song. Again phone in loose shorts side pocket screen outward. I looked forward to these because I liked the thought of the heart sensor built in but very disappointed.

r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 : Disappointed is an Understatment ->PB 2 has a lot of new functions. But the sound is awful. It is inferior to the previous and definitely inferior to the Sennheiser Sport which I have. I have used the PB original for 6 years because the hooks stay in my ears so I couldn't wait for an upgrade. But after 6 days I sent them back. the high / treble is painful and tinny. The lows don't exist. It is lighter so it moves easily and dislodges the sweet spot for fit. You raise the volume and it is shrill almost and feels like it will destroy your ears, you keep the volume low and you don't hear anything in the low range. They have sacrificed sound for a whole bunch of functionality that many people will not even use. I can't they released it with sound quality like this.

r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->That’s the same order I went in. I love the hook over the ears.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I use the beats powerbeats pro 2 which came out recently. Hands down the best headphones you can get for fitness imo. The original ones lasted me 5 years and the new version is definitely an upgrade Edit: you can try them on at the apple store if you have one nearby
r/runna • Earbuds - Beats Fit Pro broke and now considering AirPod Pro 2 ->3rd this....I have these and the power beats pro 2. They were on sale for 159.00. The fit pro I've had for 2 years. Both don't budge, sound great and you can get for 180.00 or less on a holiday or sale. Both have noise cancelling...the sound isn't S tier but a solid B+ to A - which is plenty for me. And just take them back after a run/workout/bike etc if you don't like them.
r/beatsbydre • Can anyone recommend me a pair of earbuds that don't fall out? ->Yes, using the same. Generation 2 also has the noise cancellation and they play nice with your phone.
r/beginnerrunning • Which headphones do you use for RUNNING? ->Just got mine, and they are night and day better than the AirPods Pro 2, which I’ve owned and used for the last couple years. They sound better. They fit better. They *do* have auto switching. ANC absolutely *is* better, purely by nature of the fact the PBP2 are held in your ear by physical structure, not the “push-in” design of the AP2. If your ANC seemed worse, I think your eartips must not have been the best size. M, L, and XL all gave me a “good seal” on the test, but the ANC got better each size I went up. I settled on the XLs and won’t be going back. Don’t assume a “good seal” test result is the best seal for you. Try the others. Hands down the best earbuds I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned most of the top end buds.
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->I agree, the sound engineers botched the new Powerbeats so badly. The first gen Powerbeats pro sounded a lot better than the 2nd gen. X10/X20 are solid investments
r/Earbuds • Fitness/Running Earbud Recommendations ->Second this, was using this for a few years and it never came off not even once, perfect for working out
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Bluetooth Headphones for Gym ->The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 just came out. Has almost every feature the AirPod pros have. More weather resistant too with the ear hooks to prevent falling out.
r/workout • Best headphones for working out? ->For me they’re too dependent on seal and I had to spend ten dollars on an EQ to really improve the sound which’s works in Tidal but not Apple Music. Why don’t they just include one? If I hadn’t done that, they would have been returned the same day because the sound was so bad and tinny, it was hurting my ears. I may still return them and get the seinhauser. I’m only holding on so far because they sync so well with the Apple Ecosystem. But is it worth their finicky nature?
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro 2 Review Summary: They're great ->I have had multiple pairs replaced because of reduced noise cancellation/mic issues. This was back when the AirPod pro replacement program was happening due to the sheer amount of issues people experienced. My current pair still has the same issue. Cleaning never seems to bring them back to “normal” either. I bought the PowerBeats Pro 2s also hoping they’d be better and also actually stay in my ears which they do but are also a little cumbersome to take with me or to put in my ear compared to AirPods.
r/apple • Apple Teases New Powerbeats Fit Earbuds ->Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 have ear hooks and ANC, and they fit your budget. I haven't tried many ANC headphones, but these left a pretty good impression on me.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best Wireless IEMs with hooks? ->Power beats pro. Got them like 2 years ago or something. Not for audible but shortly after getting them I started using audible and they worked amazing. Great battery, pretty good range away from phone even though I rarely have them in use whole away from phone. I mean really great battery though. If I'm only using 1 earbud, usually at work, I wouldn't have to charge it (and the case) for multiple days at a time despite at least 4 hours of use a day. And amazing quality of sound. I mainly got them because I wanted some good wireless earbuds for music, YouTube, and anime without bothering other people, especially at lunch at work and back then I was working closing shift so I had more free time at work, but I wanted the hook around the ear too. The sound quality is so much better than I was expecting. In some audiobooks I can even hear when the narrator pauses their recording between chapters LOL Controls are pretty simple. 1 tap for pause/resume. 2 for skip foward 15 seconds. 3 to skip back 15. They were a bit expensive when I bought them, 200, but it was SO worth it. And the case is sturdy! Dropped it more than I'd like to admit but onyl a few minor scratches to the exterior.
r/audible • What earbuds do you use? ->I've been using the PowerBeats3 for 6+ years. The little cord annoys me when it gets caught in my collar and pulls on one ear. I bought the PowerBeats Pro and they seem to have no depth or bass. Idk I've only used them for an hour or two and put my old ones back in which have thousands of hours of use. Some people have said they haven't broken in yet but I don't remember the 3's being "tinny" when they were new and this is my 2nd pair.
r/DieselTechs • Good Bluetooth earbuds for this job? ->Agree. These are the only ones i've tried that have decent controls for volume, stop, fast fwd, rewind.
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->As someone who has killed many pairs of headphones. I have now switched to Shokz. Power beat pro worked for me in the past ( until I forget them on an airplane 🙃) I recommend staying away from AirPod pro’s. I’ve killed pairs with my sweat!
r/ultrarunning • Sweat proof ear buds? ->Seconding Powerbeats but the pro version!! These really never accidentally dislodge
r/Aerials • Best earbuds ->Used my Powerbeats pro for the last two years! Right bud doesn’t hold a charge anymore though so I’m looking for new options!
r/Marathon_Training • Best Running Headphones ->I'm assuming Powerbeats Pro's? Yeah, the charging case has a tendency to have the contacts oxidize after contacting sweat, if you don't clean them once in a while. I find it a minor inconvenience compared to how much I love them otherwise. The bluetooth thing sounds like either a fluke or an issue with your Garmin, because both pairs of mine worked flawlessly up to several meters (or more) away from the source device (be it a watch, phone, or laptop).
r/running • It's time for new earphones, please help with recommendations ->Power Beats Pro. I have to occasionally clean the metal contacts, but they still get the job done. I want to get the new version soon
r/beginnerrunning • Runners, what headphones are you using? ->I'm very happy with my Powerbeats Pro.
r/weightlifting • Any wireless earbuds recommendations? ->Still like my Powerbeats Pro
r/Marathon_Training • Headphone recommendations? ->Love mine. Try my best to just stay aware lol
r/Marathon_Training • What's the best headphone for running widely loved currently? ->Adding to the chorus. The Beats Pro are rock solid in my ears. I think the problem might be slightly smallish ear canals. I also can't keep the iPod Pros in my ears, no matter which cushions I install. They just work themselves out.
r/beatsbydre • Can anyone recommend me a pair of earbuds that don't fall out? ->Word of warning, if they haven’t fixed the “hook” durability I’d be careful with your money. Or at least get one of those cheap replacement warranties. The issue is the hook that goes into your ear will [eventually come apart](https://www.reddit.com/r/beatsbydre/s/2H5s3F01HG), which is so silly to me because it causes the entire device to be useless. There are now aftercare parts to replace the hooks but they require professional tools and it’s not easy for the average consumer to do it. Powerbeats Pro used to have the same issue but they fixed it with the recent releases. Even the marketing for Powerbeats Pro uses the stronger hooks in its advertising.
r/apple • New Powerbeats Fit Earbuds – Colors and Features Leaked ->Powerbeats Pro. They hook around the ear.
r/beginnerrunning • Which headphones do you use for RUNNING? ->Love my Power Beats Pro. Great battery, over ear loops so they don’t fall out- which is a huge problem for me. Outside of Shokz these are the only ones that work for me and are much better sounding.
r/Marathon_Training • Best running earbuds ->Not a diesel mechanic but, I've been using the Power Beats Pro for over 2 years now. The ear phones have an 8 hour charge and the case holds/charges them. One complaint is, the case is pretty big - about the size of my palm. I like that they have hooks so they never fall out of my ears
r/DieselTechs • Good Bluetooth earbuds for this job? ->Powerbeats Pro. Wrap around your ear and are comfortable
r/Marathon_Training • Headphones & In Ears for marathon running ->I’ve lifted with both (and still do from time to time). It depends on the headphones and earbuds. Headphones I’ve had success with using Bose over ear headphones because they are lighter and don’t slide around. My AirPod max are terrible because they are so heavy and slide when my head is horizontal to the ground. Earbud wise: Regular AirPods fall out of my ears, AirPod pros are my bread and butter, Bose QC2 earbuds will stay in place but protrude a bit more than AirPods, and Beats Pros were my favorite (best fit and comfort) but they crapped out just after my apple care on them expired so I refused to buy another pair.
r/beginnerfitness • Earbuds or headphones? ->I switched from Powerbeats Pro that went over the ear and had some connectivity problems to the Beats Fit Pro that twist into your ear and I love them. Small form factor, attractive, and flat out work. I stream music from my Garmin Forerunner. They’ll also work great with any Apple device.
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->One thing to consider is that they will get sweaty and the leather pads (or whatever they are called) will eventually discolor. Also I find the over ear type to be a little clunky and kind of bounce around with movement, which I don’t like, but everyone’s preferences are different. Lastly, if they are too noise cancelling, this can be dangerous for running outdoors where you still want to be able to hear a bit of your surroundings for safety. My favorite running headphones are my PowerBeats Pro, they are small in-ear pods but have a little loop to go over the ear so they don’t bounce around or fall out.
r/beginnerrunning • Is it a bad idea to run with over ear headphones? ->Keep getting this skipping sound when they’re in my pocket at the gym. Have to think it’s a connection issue? Hopefully there’s a fix soon. Love the sound quality and button touch features. Never had this issues with beat pro in ears. Really annoying.
r/Skullcandy • People who have received your Method 360 ANCs, what are your thoughts? ->In-ear works best for me I use the Beats Pro, works well in keeping your headphones in and not falling out during a workout
r/workout • Best Headphones for Working Out? ->I love my PowerBeats Pro and will cherish them until they die
r/Marathon_Training • Earphone recommendations ->I love my PowerBeats Pro for running, biking etc. lightweight, great sound, with a loop so they never fall out. Great for exercising!
r/trailrunning • What are the best wireless earbuds ? ->I use Beats Pro ear buds. Sound is great and there is no wind noise. Might be going deaf though.
r/motorcyclegear • Best Bluetooth Headset Solely for Music? ->I’ve had my Powerbeats Pro for ~3-4 years. I just used them now for a 20 min jumprope session! They still work fine, but the only issue I have with them is they pause on their own sometimes :/ Maybe 1 or 2 times every few different day sessions, so nothing major. It started about a year ago.
r/GYM • Best headphones for gym/running that don’t fall off? ->Pros 2 best ear buds I ever used, then there’s Beats Pro
r/airpods • Airpod 4’s or the Airpods pro 2’s ->I have two pairs of near dead Powerbeats pro headphones. Missed the recall Worked very well for me but wow are they defective
r/AskRunningShoeGeeks • Best running earphones/headphones 2025 ->I wear shokz outside and have had various models for a decade. No thump. I wear Sony WF100XM5 on the treadmill. No thump. AirPods pro, Powerbeats pro? Thump.
r/Marathon_Training • What is the most reliable brand of running headphones that sounds great and works the best for runners? Is Shockz right? ->Agreed, over the ear keeps them snug so they don't fall out. Easy to use and go forward or backwards between tracks just by pressing the button. One downside is wearing them with a winter hat on causes issues. Charging can be tricky but is easy once you figure out the system.
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->AirPod pros because moisture. Or the new Beats Pro too is the direction you want to go. I have all three but I don’t use the APM in the gym for sweat and moisture prevention. I enjoy the new beats heart rate capability but my ears are weird they don’t stay as inserted as I like. But the bass is great in comparison to APP2
r/Airpodsmax • Gym APMs or AirPods Pro 2? ->Powerbeats Pro. I had Galaxy Buds 2. They wouldn't stay in my ear, the screens came off the first week, and the right one had the speaker just fall off one day. I tried Raycon. Absolute shite. Returned within 48 hours. Beats aren't perfect if there's a lot of ambient noise, but at least they stay in my ears.
r/audible • What earbuds do you use? ->Powerbeats Pro are the only earbud that works for me
r/Aerials • Best earbuds ->The new pros have resolved the charging case issues too
r/trailrunning • Runner friends, headphones for running that you love? ->Sorry, I’m thinking “power Beats Pro” which had a recent upgrade. The prior model’s charging case design was terrible, but the new case is great
r/trailrunning • Runner friends, headphones for running that you love? ->When I think about the perfect earbuds for running and workouts, a few key things really stand out. First off, the fit is everything. There’s nothing worse than constantly adjusting earbuds while you’re moving around. I love ones with ear hooks or adjustable tips, like the Jabra Elite Active 75t or Powerbeats Pro—they stay in place no matter how intense the workout gets. Water and sweat resistance are a must too. I’ve had earbuds die on me because I didn’t pay attention to the water resistance rating, so I now always look for something with at least an IPX4 rating. The Beats Fit Pro or Jaybird Vista 2 are solid choices for this—they’re tough enough to handle a sweaty gym session or a run in the rain. Sound quality is another big one. I need earbuds that deliver clear audio, especially when I’m trying to get into the zone. Bose Sport Earbuds and Sony WF-SP800N both give great sound, with enough bass to keep me pumped up. Battery life is always a factor too. I want something that lasts at least a few hours and has a charging case for those longer sessions. Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro and JBL Reflect Flow are great for that. If I’m running outside, I need to hear my surroundings, so I really appreciate earbuds with transparency mode, like the AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM4. They let me enjoy my music but still stay aware of what's going on around me. Lastly, touch controls and voice assistant features make life so much easier. I don’t want to fiddle with buttons when I’m in the middle of a workout, so being able to control everything with a tap or my voice is a game-changer. When all these things come together, you get earbuds that just work. What about you? What kind of earbuds do you prefer when you’re running outdoors or working out in the gym?
r/Earbuds • Earbuds for running and workout ->The new Powerbeats pro are basically AirPods with a hook. They’re great.
r/AppleFitnessPlus • The current best running headphones/earbuds? Any reliable recommendations/advice? ->I have beats pros. The navigation for swapping songs is annoying. I do only run with one earbud though so I can still get ambient noise in.
r/Marathon_Training • What is the most reliable brand of running headphones that sounds great and works the best for runners? Is Shockz right? ->Powerbeats Pro. You can still hear traffic and other noise just fine. I've been using the same pair for years and they will handle sweat, during rain etc for hours. I also bike and the battery life easily lasts 10+ hours. They're unmatched
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->Powerbeats pro. They have ear hooks and you can still hear other noise (traffic etc) just fine
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->Powerbeats pro but theyve got shit sound quality so wouldn't recommend , but they've never fallen off once while running so there's that 🤷
r/beginnerrunning • Runners, what headphones are you using? ->I have the power beats pro - not the most affordable but if you can find something with a similar shape (wraps around the top of your ear) I find that works best.
r/Aerials • Best earbuds ->Depends if you like bone conduction, it’s not for me, I like the new Powerbeats pro
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->Have had Powerbeats Pro twice and they’ve been great - bar some connecting issues and the slow death of one earbud before the other. Now working with the Jabra Elite Active 8 (I think) and they’re excellent.
r/Marathon_Training • Best Running Headphones ->I’ve since moved on to the Jabra Elite 8 Gen 2 - which are good, but perhaps not as ‘premium’-feeling as the PowerBeats. I don’t think Jabra are that easy to find any more either
r/Marathon_Training • Best Running Headphones ->The Soundcore x2 work fine for me. I had Powerbeats Pro before and they were always trouble.
r/trailrunning • What are the best wireless earbuds ? ->I use Powerbeats pro. Never fall out 10+ hour battery.
r/DieselTechs • Best ear buds? ->I've used the same powerbeats pro for about 2yrs now, no issues yet, its a one and done solution, but there are more recent ones with more tech, not sure what extras you would want it with, but they sound great, have hooks and stay put. if you need more ideas [check this out](https://earbudswireless.medium.com/best-sound-amplifier-earbuds-0581e8c035a1?source=user_profile_page---------11-------------fc3dda9b0019---------------)
r/Earbuds • Best ear buds for working out ->Either the Beats Fir Pro or Powerbeats Pro. Just keep in mind the Powerbeats Pro are due for an upgrade early next year. Apple has discontinued them and they aren’t worth buying now. Next year’s Powerbeats Pro 2 are rumored to add ANC, hear rate monitoring, and a charging case with USB C instead of the dead Lightning format.
r/beatsbydre • Best Beats for Exercise ->To be fair, the PowerBeats Pro are old and, if the AirPods Pro never fit your ears, you should have returned them. That being said, any pair of earbuds will work well with your iPhone. JBL, Technics, Soundcore, it doesn’t matter. The AirPods Pro 2 and PowerBeats Pro 2 are going to integrate a little better, especially the AirPods Pro 2. However, if the AirPods Pro 1 don’t stay in your ears, the Pro 2 won’t either. You never mentioned other features you want, like ANC, Qi charging, how important call quality is, or your budget. You can spend as little as $120-ish and get a solid pair of earbuds or as much as $300+ and get something that will sound great (but have terrible ANC).
r/Earbuds • Which earbuds to buy that would pair well with my iPhone 15 Pro? ->I would've killed to keep my APP2, they sounded amazing, looked good. But the issue for myself and I think a lot of others on the PB series is they simply don't stay in ear. Especially during workouts
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->Powerbeats Pro - pretty decent sound and the loop over the ear keep them in on the sweatiest of days
r/trailrunning • Good running earbuds? ->I'll second this. Wouldn't pick Beats for audio quality for at home listening, but for running they are top notch.
r/Marathon_Training • Best running earbuds ->This has happened to me, but I can fix it by using a qtip with a little rubbing alcohol on it to clean the contacts. I also have to purposefully "click" the headphone down on the contacts before I close the lid. I am on my second pair, but I don't mind because I use them all the time.
r/AppleFitnessPlus • What are the best Earbuds for Working out and Running in your opinion? ->I have sensitive ears so my options were limited for comfort. I tried Apple pro pods and couldn’t make it 30 mins before my ears were aching. I then tried the Beats Pro and got a little more time before ear ache but also didn’t find the noise canceling to be that great. Ultimately went with the beats quiet comfort and have loved them. I can wear for probably 2 hours before I start experiencing any discomfort. I got mine during a sale so they were a little more affordable and they’ve last me I think like 4 or 5 years so far. I got my sister a pair of Sony ear buds that she’s really liked as well so could look into those too.
r/running • It's time for new earphones, please help with recommendations ->I have owned Beats, Beats pro, Jabra, Bose earbuds. The Sony is the best sound quality and ANC, I mostly use them in the gym and they have never once fallen out of my ear. Even when running for miles
r/Earbuds • Planning to buy Sony WF-1000XM5 buds, are there any suggestion for any ones better than this for great audio quality and durability. I can increase my budget if product is good. ->Powerbeats pro are my go to
r/DieselTechs • Good Bluetooth earbuds for this job? ->I bought the PBP2 to be my daily drivers for the gym as well. I returned them yesterday due to how terrible the sound was. I tried every trick, messing with Spatial Audio, turning it off, different ear tip sizes, Apple Music vs Spotify, nothing helped to bring them near the level of AirPod Pro 2s. The ANC was terrible too. I went to warm up on a rowing machine and could hear everything around me. I thought it was a fluke and turned off ANC, then back on, and still could hear everything, including treadmills and stairmasters that had steady motor noise. I loved the original Powerbeat Pros until my right earbud stopped charging. It’s a common complaint with them. They also pretty consistently sucked at connecting to my phone. I would have to take them out of the charging case multiple times sometimes to get them to work. These would be a filler option imho. Honestly, if you can wait for a DEEP discount on the PBP2 or a fix for the sound quality and ANC, I would. I’m keeping them in mind if Apple intends to improve the product through software. But right now, I’m just going to rock my old APP2.
r/beatsbydre • Powerbeats Pro or Powerbeats Pro 2 - Gym Bag 2025 ->I like my PB Pro when they work, but sometimes one of the earbuds doesn't get charged in the case. Also, sometimes only one of the earbuds connects to Bluetooth so I have to put them both back in the case and then put them on again. I've had them for a few years and now the battery doesn't last for more than 40 mins, so looking for a different model.
r/Marathon_Training • What's the best headphone for running widely loved currently? ->I have Powerbeats Pro that are great. Recently purchased and tried JBL endurance race headphones. I use the smaller tips so I can hear my surroundings and I can wear my sunglasses without them being uncomfortable. They are doing good for being cheap, $40 at Best Buy
r/Marathon_Training • What's the best headphone for running widely loved currently? ->I switched to Powerbeats Pro a few years ago and never looked back.
r/workout • Best headphones for working out? ->Seconding all of the above, Powerbeats Pro have served me extremely well on lyra. Never a problem.
r/Aerials • Best earbuds ->These (the Powerbeats Pro) are the ones I had to buy for my mother-in-law :D She had the exact same problem as you have and these were the first and seemingly only ones that fit her ears without falling out immediately :) Good luck for you and always glad to help!
r/sennheiser • Are Sport True Wireless good for the gym ? ->Powerbeats Pro. I’ve used these for several years and my wife has too. When the battery started to age on my wife’s she bought another pair without question. I run with only one in, that way I can still hear what’s going on around me. Also works well for mountain biking.
r/trailrunning • Good running earbuds? ->Shokz for sure . I used Beats Pro for a year. Loved the sound and they never fell off . But I could never wear then and run on busy roads . Also they are Absolutly horrible with the charging pin issue . Would have never bought had I known how bad they are . Already changed then once from Apple but still not much of an improvement . It’s a design issue. With shokz they lack the sound quality but are way less hassle , safer and sturdy .
r/Marathon_Training • What's the best headphone for running widely loved currently? ->I use beats but they are big, bulky and uncomfortable
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->Thanks. My Powerbeats Pro are big and bulky. Can you hear the music clearly with these?
r/trailrunning • Runners, what are the best RUNNING headphones currently? ->I have used Bose Ultra Quiet, Air Pro, Powerbeats Pro, and Pixel Buds. The Bose Ultra Quiet are the best of the bunch Both for sound quality and noise canceling If anyone has specific experience of something being better than the Bose Ultra Quiet, let me know
r/BuyItForLife • Need a reliable pair of earbuds that won't die on me. ->Beats Pro. Very reliable. Seemless connectivity to both iOS and Android.
r/S24Ultra • What wireless earbuds are you guys using? ->I cannot recommend Powerbeats Pros enough. It’s all I’ve used for the last 8 or so years.
r/ultrarunning • Sweat proof ear buds? ->I have power beats pros fully wireless. They have a loop that goes over my ear as I have the same issue with traditional ear buds (even when I’m not being active!). I also have an older pair of regular power beats (with the wire going between the two buds. I use them for bike rides so that I don’t loose one of the full wireless in the even that they fall out (has never happened).
r/AppleFitnessPlus • Best Earbuds for Running? Need Ones That Stay Put ->To me Power Beats Pros are still way behind than the AirPods Pros * ANC is not as good as AirPods Pros 👎🏾 * Wireless Charging without the Magsafe 👎🏾 and doesn't charge with Apple Watch Charger. * Automatic Switching between Apple Devices not there, a feature all Apple users live 👎🏾 * No conversation awareness like AirPods Pros 👎🏾 * Still Heavier than AirPods Pros 👎🏾 * No iPV6 👎🏾 * Heart rate to me is a gimmick and eats battery life. 👎🏾 Don't expect an upgrade after five years to be so underwhelming. I'm disappointed.
r/beatsbydre • Not Worth it -> Power Beats Pro 2 VS AirPods Pro ->Status audio earbuds I've got both the anc and standard. Had them a 2-3 years Yes I'd recommend they are comfortable enough with the silicone tips they come with, but I did replace them with comply tips. I feel like they are secured better with them. I use them for the gym and everything else and they stay well, the sound quality is amazing with multiple drivers. I'd for sure recommend the ANC version of them it works really well. Powerbeats pro Would not recommend Used them for 2 years and hated them. Continued using them because they were 250 dollars in 2019 and didn't wanna buy more. Galaxy buds FE Good sound quality, would recommend but don't have them anymore. Gf lost one and one won't work without the other rip. Tldr; status audio ANC I'll buy again if they get lost or die, would recommend.
r/Earbuds • How long have you owned your current earbuds and would you recommend them to everyone? ->PowerBeats Pro have changed my life. They are super comfortable, never fall out, very easy controls...
r/AppleFitnessPlus • What are the best Earbuds for Working out and Running in your opinion? ->PowerBeats Pro is my fav of all time.
r/running • It's time for new earphones, please help with recommendations ->Love my Powerbeats Pro!
r/Marathon_Training • Best Running Headphones ->My AirPods Pro are mostly fine, but have fallen out once or twice. I used to own some PowerBeats Pro, and those are the most secure ones that I've ever owned (although I think Apple has stopped manufacturing them?). Shokz will get a lot of votes here as well. I don't like them myself - I find don't care for the sound quality. But they are a great choice if sound quality is not a primary concern.
r/Marathon_Training • Earphone recommendations ->Powerbeats Pro are awesome earbuds for exercise/outdoor activity. Built tough and sound great. Most importantly, they stay in place—if you don't mind eat hooks. I have the older generation, but they just released a new version with more features. I'm sure they are just as good.
r/BuyItForLife • The ultimate pair of earbuds! ->I use them every day for the gym and running. Airpods are fine as long as I'm not moving at speed - but anything more than a swift shuffle and they're coming loose.
r/airpods • Okay guys I know this is a redundant topic but I can’t find an answer. It’s official that none of the current AirPods fit my ears. Anyone have any recommendations for non-apple wireless earbuds for running/working out? ->The Beats Studio buds or even the buds + both are really great options small and light weight and they’ve never slipped out of my ears during my workouts
r/workout • Best headphones for working out? ->I like anker soundcore sport. They wrap around and have a good battery life. Decent noise transparency. A lot of folks love their aftershokz. Hates the beats sport with passion. I have to use ear buds that wrap around the ears.
r/XXRunning • What are some good Running Headphones you'll recommend buying right now? ->One of them would randomly not charge in the case and would reverse charge. They would also drop connection with my garmin at least once per run.
r/XXRunning • What are some good Running Headphones you'll recommend buying right now? ->When I’m running, I love to use my power beats. They stay in my ear, and they are very comfortable.
r/Garmin • Earbuds recommendations? ->I just went with AirPod pros. Stay in my ears better and the noise cancellation is beyond compare in a loud gym. Some leak, but otherwise love em. This is mainly due to the face my wife told me I’d look like a dork with over the ear headphones lol
r/workout • Headphone/earbud suggestions? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
