I had the same issue, Airpods were too expensive and that I couldn't afford Bose/Sony etc for a great ANC feature, so I just wanted to get the best pair for my Apple devices. Been using the Beats Solo Buds for a week now and I don't regret them. You can give it a full charge with Type-C cable and then ignore the battery for a few days (5hrs daily play time) until it gets to 10percent-ish. So far so good. They connect smoothly to iOS devices just like Airpods did. Mic quality is pretty normal for tiny earbuds too, don't expect wired-earphone level sound quality from them tho. IF microphone is your priority, just get Apple's wired earphones

so since i get wet earwax should i go with the 4 instead of the pros? i had the pros before and yes it would slip right out of my ear and it would feel wet afterwards. i have never used the airpods 4 before. i do have a pair of beats solo buds and its literally so perfect! which airpods would be most similar to the beats solo buds in shape and size?

as for the mic quality on these, i bought solo buds maybe 5-6 months back for 5k, didnt want to spend 10k ish on earbuds. can say that mic quality is way better than any other non-apple buds i have ever used (which means buds under 10k). i agree cant compare these with wired earphones of similar range. i was only concerned with connectivity with my apple products and voice calls, so mic was a priority and it has served me well till now. I must add that i have used these for voice calls while being indoors mostly so cant comment on the impact it has on outside noise. battery life is superb.

Not worth it, mid sound quality, no ANC, no companion app or EQ, and the case is just a case, not a charger. For the price you can get better. Hell, the jbl vibe beam 2 has ANC, an actual charging case, arguably better audio quality, considerably better build quality, a companion app with an 8 band customizable EQ and they’re even less expensive at $49.99 USD.

Hahaha That’s the problem with earbuds. When I started caring about sound quality, I went from AirPods 3 to Beats Solo buds, returned them, got sony linkbuds S. Then, upgraded to the Samsung galaxy buds 3 pro. Then I got some Simgot IEM, then I tried AirPods Pro 2, Sony xm5, I’m now trying the JBL tour pro 3 and I just ordered the AZ100 to compare with JBL and finally stick to one. In short, I got in the rabbit hole of looking for my end game and got obsessed with it. There is always a newer or a more expensive one that sounds better than what you have.

I have tiny eats and have found beats solo buds work well for.me. no ANC, BUT and 18 hour per.charge battery life makes up for it. I use double plunger tips and that helps seal out the sound too!
