I use the beats studio buds. They fit good, the sound is decent, and the battery lasts a few hours. I was given them by a friend. Honestly, i use them cuz thats what I have, and they work. If I was gonna spend 200+ on headphones, l definitely wouldn't be buying earbuds.

Dont get me wrong, I love them for when I'm working. I just feel like if you are spending that much on headphones, there are so many over the ear options that offer superior sound quality for less money

I know this gets posted every year or so, but since earbud models change so frequently, old posts aren't very helpful. I can't wear over-the-ear headphones. Every pair I've worn feels like my upper ear cartilage is being pressed into with a knife. I don't think there's any headphones that won't do this, as even sleeping on my ear on a pillow can do it. I don't know if I've only tried earbuds with bad ANC, but I've hated every minute of it. My last pair of earbuds that I liked were Soundcore Spirit Dot 2s, but Soundcore doesn't make any earbuds without ANC now. I don't want transparency mode; I just want no ANC. I currently have a pair of Beats Studio Buds, and they're okay but not very comfortable and not great sound. Wireless is pretty nonnegotiable, as I am not threading an earbud cord down my shirt daily.

Yeah I stopped using them because I took one out + my dog ate one up (just badly chewed it) so I wanted these instead solely based on the color lol Theyre basically the same except, you can’t turn them down with the a simple tap like you can with AirPods + you have to actually push the pods to skip + pause, you can’t just tap like AirPods :(

I have the pros 2, 4 with ANC, and beat studio buds. My favorite by far are the pro 2s I use them for pretty much everything, now if I am going to be out in the city, I prefer the 4s the anc is decent, but it isn't as strong as the pro 2 so I am more aware of what is going on. the studio buds were a gift they are cool, but in your case, I would lean for the pro 2s since I know with prime day they are on sale too.

r/airpods • Beats Fit Pro or Airpod 4ANC ?, I recently lost my pro 1's I had for the last 4 years so deciding on what to move onto next. I have a pair of Beats studio buds but the mic on those are horrible especially when I'm at the gym which is loud, people cant figure out what I'm even saying on a call. ->

Same, they last so well. I DROVE over one of mine (I didn’t even want them at first—they were a gift—bc I thought non-wired would be fiddly, and they are, but have since become essential to me) and somehow it’s still okay? Must’ve gotten lucky and only clocked the edge of a tire and bounced or something, bc now it’s scratched but still perfectly functional. The charging case and buds have been dropped countless times each. Word to the wise though—choose any color but black! Hunting under parked cars for black earbuds, in the dark, on a blacktop parking lot, is the worst.

I can vouch for this. I have the Studiobuds and Studiobuds+ and this is one of the reasons they likely made the Studiobuds+ because of all the complaints of the phone calls. People on the other line would tell me my voice sounded muddy or underwater. Sure enough, I'd call myself on my work phone and leave myself messages and the recordings were hard to understand. I was hoping firmware upgrades would fix this but nope. I even took them to Apple because I have way cheaper earbuds with better call quality and thought I had a bad pair. Apple sent them back to me after diagnostics and told me they were fine. I was hoping for an exchange thinking I had a faulty pair. I believe the Solobuds likely have better calls because they are newer than the old Studiobuds. I do have to say I love my Studiobuds+. Great noise cancelling, decent transparency, sound is great, you can audio share with other apple earbuds (new firmware update) and the calls are good. The only issue is sometimes the connectivity drops but I did buy a refurbished pair from BestBuy for like $68 bucks with is a steal comparted to the original sticker price of $168.

Update: I've opted for the PBP2. Ordered tonight direct from Beats/Apple, with full intention of returning them if they simply aren't for me. But I'm hoping that they are. Long Story? Popped by a Liquidation Store, had some Powerbeats Pro's for $120 CAD. Very reasonable price. Gave 'em a go, they were . . . fine. Couldn't get a good fit, could only get a decent sound if I physically pressed them into my ear . . . they were fine. I returned within 30 mins, decided to move on from those. Tried my wife's Beats Studio Buds. The sound was insanely better. Much louder - bass hit better . . they were better. However, they were falling out of my ears with the slightest movement just sitting on the couch watching TV. No good, I'm out. I ordered the PBP2's on the spot. However, I wish I took another 30 mins, and watched the reviews of the Beats Pro Fit's before I did . . . likely would have just ordered those . . . however, I'm excited for the PBP2's. Here's hoping I don't want to return them. If I do, I'll just order the Pro Fit's. Cheers!

It's got as good anc as anything double it's price. It's got a nice transparency mode and I've run with them, done multiple workouts and bike rides with different helmets. Best will depend on your preferences, and whether you value comfort, ANC, or sound quality. Here's my personal shortlist, having tested dozens of these sets in the past few years: **Sound quality:** Denon Perl Pro (with AAT), Technics AZ80, Sennheiser Momentum 4 (with Sound Personalization), AirPods Pro 2, Sony WF-1000XM5s (with personalized EQ, Clearbass set to off), Beats Studio Buds+/Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pros, Bose QC Ultra **ANC:** Bose QC Ultra, AirPods Pro 2, Sony WF-1000XM5s, Sennheiser Momentum 4s, Technics AZ80, Denon Perl Pro, Beats Studio Buds+, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Studio Buds **Comfort:** Beats Studio Buds+/Beats Studio Buds, Sony WF-1000XM5s (with Dunu S&S tips), Denon Perl Pro, Bose QC Ultra, Sennheiser Momentum 4s (very dependent on concha; ranked higher if you have larger ears), Technics AZ80 (another one that depends more on outer ear physiology) Any buds with a "locking" mechanism, or small ear hook, is very dependent on your individual ears. The Momentum's take this a step further, actually locking in behind your antihelix, resting in your concha. If these fit you, they're one of the most secure and comfortable fits on the market. They rank higher for me because they fit well, but are lower on my list because I think this can vary dramatically by person. For sound quality, I've gone back and forth between the Perl Pros and AZ80s on which sounds best. I used to rank the AZ80s higher, but I have a second AAT profile for the Denons, with Immersion at a +2, that handily beats the AZ80s. This could be due to the initial AAT profile being poorly done -- and yet, still somehow performed better than most of my other sets. With that profile, the Denon's compete with some of my midfi IEMs. They are exceptionally good. The Devialet Gemini IIs are also excellent, but are well outside of your budget and, honestly, not worth the investment. Gemini IIIs may be, if they improve codecs, BT support, etc. Don't sleep on the Beats brand of earbuds; for the price, they are genuinely great sets. The Buds+ are very good performers and the most comfortable set I own. With the Spinfit Omnis, these disappear in my ears. ANC is solid, transparency is serviceable. Sound quality is very good. The Fits Pros are the best option if you're active; one of the best "secure" fits out of dozens of buds, second only to the Powerbeats Pros. The Beats brand gets a lot of eye rolls due to brand stigma, but I don't care about the label on the box. If something works well for its intended use, I'll buy it. In this case, depending on the sales, the Buds+ can be an exceptionally good value. I did not include the device manufacturer earbuds on my list, like the Galaxy and Pixel Buds Pros; these are honestly excellent sets in their own right, but I do not use the devices they're most integrated with and thus I cannot test them fully so it's hard to do a fair comparison. But if you use those devices, they are also great -- and cheap -- options. For my part, I ended up daily driving the Sennheiser Momentum TW 4s; although it's not at the top of any of my lists, it is the best all around performer, getting close to the sound quality of the Technics and Denons, ANC that's nearly as good as the Sony's, but with an app and features that are more robust (and with better UX) than the Technics and Denon apps. On the whole, it's my favorite set to use for work and travel, some light media consumption, and around the house use. However, if I don't want to pull out one of my wired IEM, but I want to listen to music or other media and have the best possible experience, it's the Denons or Technics.

Beats studio buds. No reason to pay more. My ears are small on the inner and big on the outer, tough to get comfortable with any that goes in ear. Skip the buds and go over the ear. You'll get far superior sound for the same money. I have a set that works Bluetooth or wired. Great for airplanes or for serious listening.

I use a pair of Beats Studio Buds. They weren’t doing much else as I prefer my AirPods Pro 2 for my iPhone. They work well. I do notice disruptions at times, but I’ve been playing Witcher 3 and I think it’s more of that game pushing the Switch to its limit. The sound though is great. So far I’ve tried AirPod pros which just hurt my inner ear so switched to studio beats which fit perfectly but don’t sound great especially with heavier metal n rock music as it jus sorta becomes muddy regardless of how I adjust the EQ. This is for everyday use with Samsung phone, Mac n iPad, also needs a decent enough ipx rating as I live in Scotland where it rains 99% of the time.

lol yep, I’ve tried all sizes of the ear tips with AirPod pros, had the same issue with the Apple wired to lightning earpods, original AirPods & then AirPods Pro, think I must have tiny inner ears. Meanwhile I’m fine with JVC XX wired earbuds, Fender wired IEM nine’s & Beats Studio buds but just want something wireless that has a bit better sound n comfortable fit. I looked into XM5’s but can’t quite tell if I’d run into the same issues I have with AirPods & we don’t have any local stores that sell earphones to check em out.

I just got Status Audio’s Between 3ANC’s. I love them. My last earbuds were the Beats Buds which I bought because they were cheap. They were good, but didn’t give me the separation I was after. The Between 3ANC’s deliver on separation, the bass sounds beautiful, and the speakers dedicated to the highs and mids deliver a crisp listening experience. If you like loud music like me (sorry to my ears) these earbuds deliver at around 130 decibels. They have all the controls I’m after, though they aren’t customizable and the double tap is hard to get used to (needs to be fast). It has an app where you can customize the sound and turn on active noise cancelling or ambient sound mode. Overall really happy with them, they’re also pretty comfortable and I would trust them on a run. Their battery life is also pretty impressive.
