I just put my Bose Sports through the wash and regretfully went to JB Hi-Fi expecting to part with $150 - $200. Explained to the guy that I listened to audio books mainly, under ear protection whilst on the tools, but would also use them for the occasional walk, public transport scroll and phone calls whilst pottering around the house. I.e. cheap and cheerful, but do the job. He suggested J Lab Go Air Pop. I was like “ummm are you sure, they’re ONLY $50” and he was adamant that they were the best. I got bright pink ones to spark joy, they have their own USB cord attached (great for me, but maybe not suitable for USB-C or micro users?) and they fully held their charge for the first 4 days of 8 hour use. 2 weeks in, I love them. Oh! They also price matched Harvey Norman at $34. Highly recommend.

I went from Bose Sport wired, not noise cancelling, that's dangerous. Then I went to Bose Sport Bluetooth, not noise cancelling. The one where the two earbuds were attached. (I didn't like the idea of being able to so easily lose a little earbud, still don't.) Then when those died I went to Shokz open ear, the one that's all one piece. Because still don't like the idea of being able to lose a single earbud. These are the best yet. I was able to try them on in a store first and pair my phone to see how they sounded. Super cool, them love. Safest option yet. I use them in the gym and on the treadmill also, and they're great there too.

Ive always used bose sport or the quiet comforts because of how they fit. My old pair of sports are going on about 6-7 years but barely hold a charge. They are my backups, while one of my 3 year old quiet comforts just stopped working completely. I bought the Jlab ANC sport earbuds and they have been excellent. 1/3rd the price of Bose and honestly sound better IMO. the jlab app is nice and the be aware mode is great for running or activities when you're around others.

r/audiophileEven if audiophiles dislike Bose, what do they like about the brand at all?

Agreed. I had a great pair of noise cancelling in ear headphones from Bose. It seems to have become fashionable for audiophiles, particularly in America I have to say, to hate on Bose unconditionally.

In any major market? How could you possibly claim that? Have you been to every nation that has Bose products and studied this? I had a pair of in ear headphones from Bose that were really very good indeed and they were decent value. Here, in Scotland.

I have a pair from that series and I don't mind them. I did prefer my Bose sports ones though. They were more comfortable and stayed in much better.

r/DJsQuestion: Are there any DJs here who use wireless headphones at gigs?

I DJ with Bluetooth headphones, with an added sync delay on my audio interface's (or DJ controller's) outputs to compensate for the delayed latency (usually about 100\~150ms). It only takes a few seconds to setup. It works great, and feels nice when you don't have any headphone cables in the way. It does feel a lot more "free", especially when I use cheap Monoprice earbuds (they actually work better than my Bose Sport earbuds). There are possible caveats though: 1. Depending on your environment, your Bluetooth latency can fluctuate, forcing you to change the rate of delay. 2. Don't walk too far from your DJ laptop. Be sure to put your headphones down and near your laptop, otherwise, you may have to pair your earbuds again 3. This works best when you're DJing with an audio interface or DJ controller, as it's probably the only way you can add digital sync delay. I've DJed with these in live settings with these caveats, and while it works for me, do expect these scenarios. But if you're not ready to handle things like this, I can't recommend bluetooth headphones. And, I still DJ with bluetooth earbuds. You can delay audio output signal using Mixxx or easyeffects. I'm a Linux user, so not sure how that'll work for Windows and Mac users.

r/EarbudsWhat are the best sound quality earbuds - with respectable transparency and ANC?

AZ80 for my dailies. Best sound quality I’ve heard, mediocre ANC however. Comfortable for long sessions, and seem to stay in pretty well. I have some cheap JBL Free Live 2 for travel, okay sound, good bass, unreal ANC! (I assume all JBL will have good ANC) So they’re my flight and train buds; best ANC and cheap enough I don’t cry when I loose them. I have used a number of different Bose Sport buds for gym/running as they stay in the ear the best. If I had to pick o e set; it’s the AZ80, not tried the AZ100.

So I got their(BOSE) Sport Buds 2-3 years ago, even if i'm not a fan of "buds" generally speaking. Especially for serious music listening. They were close to €300 back then. And i gotta say - man! The sound quality is just INSANE. I was honestly shocked, flabberghasted at how excellent the sound is all around. I listen to all kinds of music and they haven't failed anywhere from jazz to stoner metal. Insane. Is it €300 worthy though? Nah, but that doesn't have anything to do with quality, which is superb. I just honestly think 300 of any monies is just too much for a gadget of that kind. I do own other buds for my phone, like the original Samsung GalaxyBuds2, and those are AKG mind you, and they are so-so, compared to BOSE they are 50%. Then again they cost 50% less, so...

r/XXRunningWhat are some good Running Headphones you'll recommend buying right now?

My most comfortable headphones are shokz but they make my ears stick out so I don't wear them often running 🙃 mostly just around the house. My faves to run are my bose sports, they never fall out ever and I can wear them under ear warmers in the winter. I wear one and tuck the other in my pocket or bra
