The nothing ear has absolutely terrible ANC. As a bonus, it amplifies high frequencies such as cutlery and keys clattering, and for some reasons also amplifies cars passing by. All of this in high mode. On a busy street, you're probably better off turning of ANC and just relying in the passive isolation. Transparency mode is also worse than talking with them on with ANC off. Also of it's windy where you live you might as well turn ANC off as it has zero wind detection. Everything else from app to controls iäand sound quality is excellent though. Weirdest past is, cmf buds pro 2/plus both have vastly improved ANC.
Cmf buds 2 plus or buds pro 2 are simply excellent for their price. I'm using buds 2 plus and couldn't be happier. Anc is decent, sound quality is great along with battery life. I bought them for like 40 bucks though even at their full price they don't have a better competition imo. I'm not sure about nothing ear buds. I have nothing headphone 1 which is a great premium model but their ear buds I don't have any idea.
I personally I think cmf 2pro have better sound than plus
Just bought nothing buds 2 plus and loving them.
Look into the CMF Buds 2 Plus. Superior to the pro 2. I have them and the sound quality is great for the price. Only complaint is the in ear detection mode sucks with pausing and playback
I was disappointed as well granted all of the hype. My biggest disappointment was actually how shrill /hrash the treble is, which is not bad perse on non vocal sounds but it seems to come through a lot in vocals on h and s sounds and it sounds like and airy white noise hiss, I absolutely hate it. I think I've managed to eq it out a bit by using 0 0 1 1 -2 -1 (BassWave 2) , but definitely that is the thing I dislike the most. Outside of vocals it sounds great and I can definitely hear the performance benefit of the tweeter versus a single driver bud. I was a bit disappointed by the ANC because it was quite hyped and honestly doesn't perform as well as some other buds I've tested. The mics pick up a lot of wind which seems to be no issue at all in ANC mode, but in transparency mode...well I basically can't use transparency mode outside which is a bummer because I wanted it to be more aware of my surroundings. A slight breeze disables it, even just from me walking sometimes. Transparency is really good though, very natural, definitely the best I have heard. The Golden sound profile is good but the method for tuning it is terrible! Whoever thought and infinite slider was a good idea needs to try it for themselves, makes it impossible to A/B a volume when you can't trust that you've moved the slider the same amount each time. Maybe it would be easier on an iPad or something. The 3D sound does something but I don't really like it compared to other implementations. Vocals often don't seem centred. It's truly a great all-rounder but it's definitely overhyped. Currently I can massively recommend the CMF Buds 2 Plus. I picked some up for $45AUD, ~$30UUSD on AliExpress sales and they actually win out massively compared to the OP Buds 4 before any eq tuning. Which is of course my subjective opinion, while they're both great at everything it does trade blows. The OP Buds 4 has better transparency and sound separation between bass and highs, but the CMF B2+ has better ANC, better mic legibility in windy conditions (literally my partner could still understand me while I held an air blower to my face), it does sound more underwater as conditions get worse but it's totally legible. The CMF B2+ fits better for me out of the box, and I prefer the Nothing X app, though the eq tuning is limited on the B2+. The personalised sound process (in Nothing X) and outcome is much better for me on the B2+, I really liked the profile I got out of it. Out of the box I preferred the sound of the B2+ but now that I have EQd the OP Buds 4 I'm okay with it. The spatial/3D sound is much better on the B2+ than OP Buds 4 imo, I would actually prefer to listen with it on whereas I prefer it off on the OP Buds 4. Controls on the OP Buds 4 are better with the slide functionality but I rarely use bud controls anyway so the B2+ controls are fine for my needs. The adaptive mode on the OP Buds 4 is not something I use because it just doesn't really do what I want or expect it to do. The OP Buds 4 are definitely the more premium option and I do think they are probably the better bud for the average user, but for the price difference I think that the B2+ is much better value and definitely my pick. Oh the sound signature change between different modes on the OP Buds 4 is basically unidentifiable, it does that really well too! Edit: literally seconds after I posted this I noticed my OP Buds 4 ANC continuously get disabled walking outside due to a very slight breeze, I hadn't noticed it this bad before so that's a bit of a bummer. It's wind handling is absolutely garbage that's for sure.
Nothing ear buds. They're class. You can control them from the case as well which is easy. I'm not mad on touch controls on buds. https://ie.nothing.tech/products/cmf-buds-2-plus?Colour=Light+Grey
Just got the CMF Buds 2 Plus ($55 on Amazon right now) and the mic is actually pretty decent.
