Had some previous Senheisser earbuds for a while, and I will admit the sound was fantastic and they were comfy to wear too - but both pairs crapped out on me after a year of use each. Currently using Edifier neo buds2. Got em cheap on a prime deal for about £90. They were weird to get used to at first, but their audio is solid and the noise cancellation is blinding! Not the best for talking on the phone with, but still decent.

Anecdotal information but for earbuds. I bought a RM300+ Edifier Neobuds a few years ago which recently went bust. I bought a few replacements in the sub RM150 range and they all disappoint and I'm not willing to spend a few hundred more on brands I'm not sure I'll like. So I went and bought the Neobuds 2 and was happy with it.

I bought the following on Amazon, tested all of them (audiophile obsession level), then returned all but kept one: HiFiman Svanar Wireless Audio technica AZ80 Denon Perl Pro Edifier Stax Spirit S10 Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 SoundPEATS Capsule 3 Pro+ SoundPEATS Air5 My top 3 were Denon Perl Pro (please go for this one and you won't be disappointed), AZ80, & Svanar Wireless (this is one of the best sounding along with the AZ80 & Denon, but the Svanar has issues with dropping on Android phones, and the battery life is dogshit)

I've tried many, and some of the best are the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, Liberty 4 Pro, Edifier Neobuds Pro 2, and the Sennheiser Momentum 3/4. Unfortunately, I've never tried the Bose, but I have the Sony XM4/5, and they didn't impress me.

If you want " the best sound " then you have to explain what that means to you: do you like more bass ? More tremble? Cleaner mids ? Etc.. Some people have recommended and I can agree as well on the Samsung Galaxy buds 3 pro ( or 2 pro if you want them cheaper ). They follow the Harman curve pretty closely which is a frequency response target for headphones and earphones that aims to achieve a sound signature that is most pleasing to the majority. My personal favourite : Edifier has a great line of products. ↓ The Edifier neo buds pro 2 are about 80£ right now and sound really really good for their price. Probably some of the best connectivity any earbuds has, with aptx, Ldac and Lhdc. They also have their latest Edifier Stax Spirit 10 which I just got and my god they sound amazing! Competing with some of my more expensive iems and sometimes makes me want to take a break from my Arya V3 to listen to them.

Edifier Neobuds Pro probably costs a bit more than $100, but from my own experience, its ANC reaches maybe 80%~90% of the best of the best but much more expensive Bose QC Ultra (buds). I actually tested both of these on the plane, along with Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 pro. The galaxy buds 2 pro ANC just seem non-existent compared to those two. It's it's also worth mentioning, the Bose QC Ultra ANC is just out of this world. It just seems to work differently from any other buds, and it just makes me feel the passive isolation doesn't do anything as the Bose but doesn't even go deep into the ears. The fact this Edifier could go this far with ANC while working more like other non-bose brands (and remains comfortable to wear) is amazing to me as well. And music sounds better on the edifier than on the Bose to me. Too bad my edifier right bud broke just after one year of use.
