my pixel buds are still going strong after 4+ years, not sure if they're compatible with other devices but was worth mentioning.

Im happy with the sound, think it's good but im no sound guru by any means :D In terms of fit I have them I think about 2 years now with no issues or complaints.

I loved that little nib but the a series didn't have volume controls. Discontinued the 2020 version which actually had the nib and the volume controls. And I would have loved if they went with it but I guess too many people complained about the nib. Worked great for me

Do they have swipe volume controls like the regular Pixel box? Old a series didn't have any on-device volume control outside of voice. Which is silly cuz they were still 99 bucks MSRP and you can get that feature and multi-point for like 30 bucks these days

Let me preface this by saying I'm an average user and nowhere near an audiophile. I had the iPhone + Airpods Pro prior to getting the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel Buds. The noise cancelling is a step down from the Airpods, especially noticeable when on a plane. However, they are still good, especially when you have media playing. I don't care so much for spatial audio or head tracking as imho it's a gimmick, but it's there. I much prefer the touch controls though I've accidentally triggered them while fixing my hair. They're very comfortable to wear - enough to run down the battery in a long flight. They last about 7 ish hours with ANC, but I've only ever run them down once and that's because I forgot to charge the case and didn't realize it was out. Overall, I'm pretty happy. I would love to get better ANC in future iterations.

Pixel buds probably have some of the best touch recognition of wireless buds. I've been been pretty happy with my galaxy buds 2 pro tho (sound is better than the pixels)

I've been using Pixel Buds for years and they're great. I think most of the premium brands with ANC should work for you.

Coming from the original buds A that I have had since they launched, I like the fit much better, the sound quality it much improved, ANC is great on budget buds. But.... the case battery for me has been terrible. I've made a few other posts about it and wondering if I got a defective case. The battery life on the buds 2a themselves seems good though. I've already started the return process and will purchase them again once that is complete to test. For example, and this is my experience so far and not speaking for anyone else, 2a case and buds would be at 100%. I used the buds for about 20 minutes of phone calls, and returned to the case. The buds were about 92% when I put them back in. After a little bit, I checked the case and it was down to 70%. It used 30% just to charge the buds 8% each. That just doesn't seem right to me. I tested my original buds A. Full charge for case and buds. Watched 2 hours of Youtube vids. Buds were around 65% when I put them back in the case. Checked back a while later and both buds were at 100% but the case only dropped to 92%. That's a huge difference compared to the new set.. Wildly different. I would estimate that using the buds 2A for a few weeks, that only using them for 2-3 hours and putting them back in the case drains the entire case battery. I'll try to update in a few weeks when I get the new set to see if the results are the same. Anyone else that has a different experience case battery wise, please let me know.

The original buds A reported the charging to the phone too, no? Sorry, there may be something I'm missing, but that functionality seems the same to me on both. Let me know if I'm missing something.
