"Calls: 10/10 ... in a dynamic loud noise environment ... test the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 3 to actually know how the Best Call Quality should sound like"

"The noise-reduction on these is really remarkable, both as a listener, but especially for the other person on a phone call. I can finally walk along the beach, with wind blowing in from the ocean, and people can hear and understand me clearly! That is what set me on a quest to find new earbuds, and Huawei freebuds pro 3 deliver! ... I can ride my bike in wind and traffic noise, listening to music or podcasts, and then answer a phone call without missing a beat, and the other person can hear me clearly. ... If you are looking for an earbud that will let you ride your bike on the boardwark, with ocean wind and people and traffic, and take calls effortlessly, where people can hear you clearly without having to stop or find shelter or hold your phone closer...the Huawei freebuds pro 3 are the way to go. ... So, yes. I am still happy with them, and they are awesome at being able to have a coherent conversation even while walking along a windy, noisy beach."

"I wanted really good call quality because I take a lot of calls when I'm on a call in central City, and they have been amazing. ... I take a call in a cafe full of people and crying kids and the other person can't hear a thing"

"They block out almost all the noise in loud environments in my testing. ... I tested them in cafe's, city streets, and sometimes construction sites. ... They do a phenomenal job with call ENC"

"the ANC is literally on par with the best from Sony and Bose."

"people OI speak to regularly have been really impressed saying my voice is loud and clear and no background annoyances for them. ... I wore them whilst driving and they didn't know I was in a car ... went round the supermarket, they didn't realise and took all the rubbish out (something that normally bothers my gf but she didn't hear any of the usual bashing and crashing)"

"I am happy to say that the Huawei freebuds pro 3 work GREAT with an Apple ecosystem. Pairing with my iPhone first and then Macbook, the multipoint bluetooth just works. I can listen to a podcast on my phone, and then watch a video on the laptop, and then take a call on my phone, and then join a slack or teams meeting on the computer, and it all just works. No fiddling with the app or anything like that."

"Multi-point pairing has worked great for me (Galaxy S23, Pixel Watch 3, Windows desktop, and Steamdeck)."

"they keep a solid connection when my phone is in my pocket, or when my laptop is stationary and I am walking around the house...they are less finicky about position or distance than the airpods, which was surprising to me."

"Huawei appears to have zero customer support in the US, which is worth knowing. ... No warranty service, no non-warranty service, just no way to reach anyone for help with anything, other than the info on their website. ... All of their customer support channels appear to ask first which country you are in, and if you pick USA, it dead-ends. ... If you buy these and you live in the US, it's important to know that you will be wholly reliant on the seller's return/service/warranty policy, because Huawei may as well have gone out of business, from what I can tell. ... I bought my first pair on Amazon, evidently through Amazon marketplace, although I wasn't paying attention at the time. They worked fine for just over a month, and then one earbud started to have intermittent problems where it was outputting a low, constant hum and crackly audio, or sometimes no sound."

"I tried to find right EQ for me for almost half and a year and still not satisfied. ... Yes, the sound is good, but there is some points like soundstage, bass and sibilance which you can't adjust with EQ fully. ... Yes, you can reduce those effects, but with loose of overall sound brightness and etc. ... in this Huawei I had to try change something and unable to find something good."

"the bass lacks volume, mid bass is strictly reduced."

"highs are very sharp and can cause sibilance in female vocal."

Which model buds? I just got off a call with the Huawei freebuds... They can hear me great but I really like the way The Buds 3 pro have a. Nice ambiance / transparency during calls; feels like I'm not wearing buds while the freebuds I my eyes started to get watery because I can't hear myself talk (hope that makes sense)

I have spent 6 months finding this; best call quality is obejctively the "Huawei freebuds pro 3". Sirens, noise, motorbikes - they don't let ANYTHING through but your voice. Sound quality is fine if that matters (6.5/10). Battery is really great!! (9/10) Anc is good (8/10) Fit is great (8-9/10)

I have the AZ-100 coming soon...I am hoping they are the best as they have 10+ hours of runtime as well with ANC on. The Freebuds Pro 4 most likely have slightly better call quality but they also only have 4-5 hours of runtime, which is not very good. I had all the major earbuds in the past 3-4 years and by far the best call quality was (and still is as I haven't seen any comparison yet) the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3. I am sure the 4 is better...but I haven't seen (or heard, for that matter) a comparison. There is a great channel on Youtube called The Weekend Gear Guide who has a great test. [https://www.youtube.com/@weekendgearguide/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@weekendgearguide/videos) I am hoping he will do a comparison soon with the Freebuds Pro 4, Technics AZ-100 and the Freebuds Pro 3, which are his (and everyone else's for that matter) current champion.

I have used both and my wife says the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 are the best. Plus they have "real" multipoint . With the Galaxy Buds3 Pro you need to be in the Samsung ecosystem, I.E. you can only switch between Samsung devices if you are logged into a Samsung account. The FreeBuds Pro 4 just came out as well, but they may be locked into the Huawei ecosystem...let's hope not. I am awaiting an Android review before I jump on those. For now the Freebuds Pro 3 are the best, but the battery life is pathetic at 3-4 hours.

I second Huawei freebuds Pro 3s. Excellent microphone. I can make calls walking on a busy street without any issue at all. I use the with an S24 plus. I don't care about the battery much. When was the last time you kept your buds in for longer than 4 hours at a time? Even taking them out for 5 or 10 minutes to go use the bathroom adds a decent amount of charge back to them. I just keep the case sitting on a wireless charger on my desk and stick the buds in whenever I'm not using them. I have yet to run out of battery after a full year of use.

Second this. AirPods still hold up for Apple users and then calls, Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 known as the best by many reviewers. Issue is China stuff is hard to get directly but sellers on Amazon and EBay can get it shipped. I got mine on EBay but that was early on but now more sellers around so Amazon got it now.

Yes but unfortunately no one earbud set contains all of the good things. Best ANC = Bose QC Ultra Best sound = MTW4, Technics Az80/100, Pi8, Devialet Gemini 2 etc etc Best comfort = Bose QC Ultra or Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro imo Best mic and call quality = Galaxy Buds3 Pro imo. Some say Huawei pro 3 Best battery.. Most are 6hrs+ without anc and up to 6hrs with There are prob buds I've forgotten but I have tried a lot and my faves up to no have been the MTW4's. Not the best at everything but the best all round imo.

since my wife needs tws i plan to give her my fbp3 and buy fbp4 for myself. i'm leaning towards the PBP2 and after reading reviews/comments don't want to risk it. the mic for calls on the fbp3 is really impressive and consistent using calls, video calls from telegram, fb messenger and i dont't wanna to risk having lesser or worst performance. hopefully there's some improvements on the ANC and transparency on the fbp4

i had the elite 10 last June with the fbp3. the fit was no problem on both. i sold the elite 10 because for me the sq of the fbp3 is much more better since it uses planars and i prefer the sound. the difference in the calls back then was that there's some background noise on the elite 10 but voice was clear and my wife didn't complain. the fbp3 then she was impressed no background noise.. do background noise like talking people mess up the az100s noise cancelling from calls? this happened to me on the gpbp3 lol

> Hello. Just curious if the buds work with other noises besides wind. Yes, these earbuds are almost supernatural at figuring out the difference between noise and signal, and the noise-reduction is great. > I'm usually iny car and the kids are loud.. will these block their noise? Separate topic, but if "in the car" means driving, I think it's both illegal and unsafe to drive with earbuds in, especially if you are using them to block out "background" noise. It's important to be able to hear as well as see, when operating a couple tons of metal moving at extremely destructive speeds.

Thanks for posting this! For anyone else following, here is the direct link to the comparison of various earbuds in a windy environment: https://youtu.be/d8z4mGaPpco?t=377 And here is the direct link to the earlier comparison in wind, which includes the airpod pro 2, which I think a lot of people will be interested in: https://youtu.be/m7BuTMtWxd8?t=405 TBH, I am hearing intelligibility problems in all of the examples, specifically with the wind-noise test. The Huawei seems to hold up very well in terms of sounding true to this particular speaker's voice, but I'm not sure it's the "hands-down" winner in terms of overall speech intelligibility, in a windy environment. They all seem to round off consonants and either have echoey or muffled artifacts, and the narrator seems to have a somewhat distinctive voice that I think the Sony Linkbuds 3 seem to make the easiest to understand, if not the most natural-sounding. But this is a super-helpful comparison, and the first I have found that specifically compares loud windy environments. Thanks again!

It's been a week since i received my free buds pro 4 and i completely agree on that. I had airpods pro 2 before however mic & call quality was really terrible and switched to free buds pro 3 after coming to the conclusion that It was the best earbuds to work outside in a cafe etc. Even FB3 was stellar compared to airpods. I preordered the fbp4 and It surprised me even after switching from FB3. Huawei became the one that puts the grin on my face. Sound quality is just incredible. Only earbuds made me this excited before was the Sennheiser. Now Huawei became my next Sennheiser. Being able to attend to work meetings from a cafe regardless of the noise is awesome.

This gets asked probably 3-4 times per week - easy to find answers in the search. If you're using Android, Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are the better options due to using a mixture of bone conduction mics for voice and MEMS mics for noise reduction. Unfortunately this incurs cost over using just MEMS mics, which is why every other cheaper set is simply balancing environmental noise reduction with not muffling your voice to the point you're incoherent, and thus falling short of those aforementioned models. If you're using iOS, then go for Airpods (admittedly I've only tested the Airpod 4 ANC). IOS features noise reduction processing on the device itself that makes them outstanding when used with an Apple phone, and completely ordinary on Android.

Why do you think 'everybody is bought off'? Manufacturers might be paying the Gamesky's of this world, with their 100k+ subscribers, but why are they going to pay the little guys for exposure to maybe 5-10k additional views, where are least 30% of viewers will stop watching after 30s, of which 0.5-1% will maybe buy the item. And if everyone is being paid by everyone then nobody is going to say anything bad about anything! Just think about it. And anyway, why listen to these 'trust me bro' influencer type reviewers when there are reputable ones that include long call samples in different environments and leave you to make your own mind up what is acceptable to you? The general consensus from the many occasions this has been asked before haa settled on Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Both brands use bone conduction voice mics as opposed to a whole array of MEMS mics. This results in your own voice separating from the environmental noise a little better than the others which tend to just use MEMS mics exclusively.

If you want to prioritize voice isolation for calls, the Huawei Freebuds Pro 4 (and 3 which are known to be pretty close to the 4s in voice isolation) are class leading, period. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2Tyw8TCq9U (I own several of the major flagships that would be competitive here, the Huawei Freebuds Pro 4, Apple Airpods Pro 2, AZ100, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Buds3 Pro, and EPOS Adept E1) And see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUgPW7MRfS8 These have stems, but the stem design tends to have better voice isolation because it can position the mic closer and towards your mouth.

If the occlusion bothers you on your HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 3, then you will not like the AZ100 since it's a bit worse. And until Bose improves their AI to silence background noise in loud crowded environments, I would stay away from the QC Ultra Earbuds 2nd Gen. So, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are the best balance for calls for you. I think for most other people, the side tone and occlusion experience would be more than acceptable on the Technics AZ100/80 and above on my ranking list, and they will only notice it if really paying attention and comparing to Samsung, Bose, and Apple.

I've reviewed the Technics AZ100/80, HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4/3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro, and while the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 (and 3) are the absolute best for mic voice call quality in any noise environment, the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro have better side tone balance and less occlusion. Here's my ranking of side tone (out of 10) and occlusion (out of 10) talking experience during phone calls: 1) Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen - 10 / 10 2) Bose QuietComfort - 9.5 / 9.5 3) Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro - 9 / 9 4) HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 & 3 - 8 / 8 5) Technics AZ100 & 80 - 7.5 / 7.5 7) NOTHING ear - 7 / 6 6) JBL Tour Pro 3 - 6 / 6 Cheers!

>What made you put Bose above Freebuds? side tone (out of 10) and less occlusion (out of 10) talking experience is better on the Bose. This is the feeling you get like you are wearing earplugs, or you plug your ears with your fingers, and when you start talking, you can hear your own voice echo in your head. With Bose QC Ultra Earbuds, during a phone call, there is less occlusion than on HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 3/4. And also you can control the side tone on Bose through the App so you can get a sense how loud you are talking.

My Huawei Freebuds Pro just broke last week, they are around 3.5 years old. My theory is that the ANC mic broke, which caused it to compensate for a huge sound that didn't even exist, which caused the right driver to blow. Got a pair of Earfun Air Pro 4's a couple of days ago. They're great.

I’ve been using HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro since the first generation and recently upgraded to the FreeBuds Pro 4. Solid choice in terms of both sound quality and mic clarity, plus you can enable LDAC in the Bluetooth settings. I did give the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro a try, but the cabinet pressure feeling and weaker mic performance made me go back to HUAWEI.

Not an audiophile and I still noticed the difference between the Buds 3 Pro and Huawe's Freebuds Pro. Lent my Buds 3 Pro to an actual audiophile and he can confirm the quality rivals Sony's. Not saying they are better, just they are in top tier range. I had to switch from spotify to Deezer, then Tidal to fully exploit them, and boy they are good. ANC works fine for me, there are some sounds that pass through but nothing that 75% volume doesn't fix. Transparent mode is awesome. Mic is low for some reason during calls, but recording it is good, so assuming a software issue.

Goddamn, finally the excessive time, research and money I’ve sank into earbuds will serve someone else well. Huawei Freebuds. Active background noise cancelling for calls and call clarity blows everything else out of the water. I can be in a building with horns blaring, industrial mechanical room talking to tech support, I’ve even stuck my head out the window on the highway and somehow the person hears nothing but your voice. All the call quality and ANC listening features are as good as my Bose Quitecomforts were, but I use them for hands free calling all the time and got sick of people not being able to hear me. Huawei were game changers

It does, the ANC is as good as my AirPod pros were. The ANC in the Bose QCs is even better than both if you’re ONLY concerned with sound and ANC, but the call quality is so shitty I couldn’t even use them for phone calls, which is probably 50% of the reason I have earbuds
