i have enco x3i. anc is amazing. i ride train every weekend. no complain from my wife. we usually on call for 6 hours while i was on train. my voices are clear but huawei freebuds pro 4 is better. trains noise factor is higher than busy street noise. oppo enco x3i = oneplus buds 3 (same product just different name) i bought huawei for 127usd and oppo for 67usd. i have also use others such as buds fe, liberty 4 nc. not good, voices are not clear. buds fe received very high rating for phone calls in rtings.com, but imho avoid, its bad. i bought 2, believing online review are dependable. on my search for clear call, now i owns, 2x buds fe, enco x3i, liberty 4 nc, buds pro, fiio utws5, 2x huawei freebuds pro 4. (so far huawei 0 complain) 🤣

Huawei Freebuds Pro 4/3/2 - if you often have calls in windy places then 3 or 4, otherwise 2 is acceptable and you might see very low prices, and 4 if you have a reasonably recent Huawei/Honor phone - it has a new codec with twice the quality/bandwidth of LDAC.

Try huawei freebuds pro 4. Very good looking, above average anc, very good sound quality and best mic performance in the market.

I can vouch for this. Had Jabra Elite 7 and 10s and now use the FreeBuds Pro 4 for earbuds, mainly for calls. I also have the Bose Quiet comfort and Sony WH-1000XM5 over the ear headphones. Call quality with FreeBuds Pro 4 is by far the best and essentially the same as using my phone directly. Highly recommend these if call quality is your main concern.

I have the same issue with the AirPods Pro 2 and I have now a different buds for biking (I live in NL, so it is quite a lot). I used 2 different models and both do a great job: * soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC which is budget friendly * Huawei HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 Both do a good job with the wind, but Huawei buds is way better in terms of sound quality.

Absolutely man. They now have the freebuds pro 4 which are even better, though they're pretty dark expensive, they may be worth looking into if you can stretch your budget

Yeah I'd definitely look at some of the videos, they are even better at phone calls, have much better noise cancelation and transparency, better sound quality, battery life, etc. But they were like 300 bucks last time I checked haha

I've just got my Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4. They're good but I have one issue. I can't turn off "wear detection" feature. I turn it off in the AI Life settings but it doesn't work. Anyone experience same issue?

check out Huawei Feebud 4 pro. Good experience so far and no feeling of uneasiness with prolonged listening ( which I got with other premium earbuds)

I remember my Technics EAH-AZ60 lasted so long and sound profile was great. AZ80 and AZ100 shall be be good option. I love Jabra's sound profile especially mid bass,.. Using Huawei freebuds 4 pro and I'm enjoying them except that they distort sound above 80% volume but overall perfect for daily use.

On the high end, I have the Sony XM5 and Huawei Freebuds Pro 4. These days, I find myself reaching for the Huawei Freebuds Pro 4 so often that it's now my de facto buds. Sound: Super balanced—I'm on the "Balanced" preset and never had to tweak the EQ. I mostly listen to indie rock, pop, folk and soul. Hated the sound at first, as they were muddy, but all it took was to increase the volume to a 7/10 and it just unleashed the soundstage. I'd say it's def better than the Airpods Pro 2, but won't beat the Sony XM5. Comfort: Very comfortable. No complaints. Aside from clip type earbuds, these are the only in-ear buds I'll gladly wear all day. Battery: 4-5 hours on LDAC with ANC on (I'm always on LDAC). Probably longer on when using AAC. ANC: Amazing. I like the ANC on the XM5 better (I grew up with Sony's ANC ever since the NW-S705F so it's very hard to get rid of the preference), but this FBP4 comes very, very close, and on par to the Sony's when using the foam tips. I sometimes just use the ANC just to block noise. Mic quality: The best call quality, bar none. I took a call at the gym where it was extremely noisy with loud music pumping. People tell me my voice sounds natural as if I was using my phone's mic. In these conditions, my voice will sound "robotic" or intelligible on other buds. That silly commercial Huawei made where a guy took a business call at a concert wasn't farfetched. Controls: Versatile, and more importantly responsive — touch, pinch, swipe. The bad: lacks spatial audio which I personally do not use.

From that list, I’d personally go for the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4, best overall balance of sound quality, ANC, and call clarity. If you're more into app support and ecosystem integration (especially Android), the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is a great pick too. Try to test it first at audiotones .co before you buy

for best earbuds mic HUAWEI FreeBuds 6i (cheapest) to HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 (on the expensive side). for fit you got to experiment with all the eartips given with the earbuds, i am sure even with small ear you will find a excellent fit. Sony WF-C710N , mic MAYBE you have to bring one earbud near your mouth from your ear while talking, if you really want that good mic. it is one of the cheapest sony products, it is also super light and small with v good battery.

If you could get the Huawei free buds pro 3 or 4 for cheap these are your best bet. Have been using them for calls and these bad boys cancel out all kinds of background noise.

I got the black ones. I find them really nice looking with the gold accents. But I may be biased, cause I don't really like white earbuds :)

I just got these a week ago. I saw this post before choosing them and it helped me decide, so thanks for that! Overall I am very happy with them. The mic for phone calls and calls at work is awesome! Music and podcasts sound good as well. I find the battery a little bit weaker than my old Soundcore Life P3, but other than that they are great! I got them on offer for 120 eur in Europe.

Take at look at the Huawei Freebuds Pro 4. They blow both of those out of the water. I have all 3. The sound on the Libertys is ok you need some tight tips to seal in order to get good bass. The Freebuds sounds ridiculously good for the price. My current favorite, I have like 12 sets of different buds.

You could get away with excessive tuning using an aftermarket EQ app like poweramp to make mediocre buds sound great, but it takes a lot of time to fine tune them to your liking. For what you want, tons of features and sounds great out of the box. My top 3 would be the Technics AZ100, Bose QC Ultra, and the Huawei Freebuds 4 Pro. If you had asked this half a year ago, answers would have been totally different. For $200, the Huawei sound phenomenal, good amount of volume, huge bass and clarity, overall good battery life, anc, and transparency. They sometimes sound as good as my $550 Gemini 2s. I have a set of the Noble Rex5s which cost even more and I totally think they are overhyped. Wasn't at all impressed, they sound exactly like the Aviot Zx1 at half the price.

I have the AZ-100 coming soon...I am hoping they are the best as they have 10+ hours of runtime as well with ANC on. The Freebuds Pro 4 most likely have slightly better call quality but they also only have 4-5 hours of runtime, which is not very good. I had all the major earbuds in the past 3-4 years and by far the best call quality was (and still is as I haven't seen any comparison yet) the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3. I have them and they are great. The best call quality on the planet, good AND and transparency, but ..the battery life is pretty sad. I MIGHT get 5 hours.

I love the Freebuds Pro 4 but the battery is pathetic, especially compared to the AZ 100. The ANC and transparency are also "only" a 7-8 out of 10". Lol. They are great but I am not sure if you have seen the Bose QC Ultra 2nd Gen just came out with a firmware update they put their call quality on par with the Freebuds Pro 4! Technics az100 or the Huawei freebuds pro 4. The Huawei don't have necessarily top notch sound but they sound decent after EQ. But most importantly, (imo) they have the best call quality I've tried on any tws in this price range. Great voice clarity and background blocking. The Technics are only a tiny bit behind in call quality but sound is much better in terms of soundstage and imaging.

The Huawei freebuds pro 3/4 are one of the best tws out there for call quality. They are the best when it comes to mic/call quality that I've tried after using countless amount of earbuds from all price ranges. I highly recommend looking at the mic test on Youtube.

Just ordered huawei freebuds pro 4, Call quality when windy outside or in a busy area with other phones, headsets etc...has been what I found lacking with earbuds that I have so far I have the Sony wf-1000xm5, samsung buds 3 pro and other bunch.

Just received the huawei freebuds pro 4. So far, calls are loud and clear with cars passing by and bit of wind. Truly impressed, will try in Thursday in a busy environment. Music is fine, and fit is great too. Yet to try multi point. Will do it tomorrow.

No issue so far , only things I miss is a widget and auto anc off when detecting a conversation. This earbuds is amazing for calls in a windy or noisy environment. Train station, airport, I can ear my wife loud and clear which wasn't always the case. This is where they excel, the rest is fine, (music and anc) This is the earbuds if calls is your priority with decent anc, music.

Forget AZ100 first, and huawei freebuds pro4 is always beyond the reveiws. They are good! The sound is more balanced and fits well with all kinds of music. Bug JBL's sound is not so good.

I got these yesterday, transparency is terrible - nowhere near as good as Huawei's own 6i's let alone Airpods.

I did give the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro a try, but the cabinet pressure feeling and weaker mic performance made me go back to HUAWEI.

xm5 sound and noise canceling are great. However, if you ever need to make or take a call, plan on switching to your phone. The mics are just awful for phone calls. Also, I found them to be uncomfortable once I did the earbud tip fit test. The app told me to use large tips to achieve optimal noise cancelation, but they hurt me ears jamming them into place. Fortunately, I lost them and replaced them with huawei freebuds pro 4. They have the best call quality available, although their noise cancelling and sound quality are slightly below xm5. If you really prioritize sound quality and noise cancelation, get a good pair of headphones. I use my wh xm5 headphones if I really want a great listening experience. Simply put, earbuds will never match the sound quality or noise cancelation of over the ear headphones.

It's been a week since i received my free buds pro 4 and i completely agree on that. I had airpods pro 2 before however mic & call quality was really terrible and switched to free buds pro 3 after coming to the conclusion that It was the best earbuds to work outside in a cafe etc. Even FB3 was stellar compared to airpods. I preordered the fbp4 and It surprised me even after switching from FB3. Huawei became the one that puts the grin on my face. Sound quality is just incredible. Only earbuds made me this excited before was the Sennheiser. Now Huawei became my next Sennheiser. Being able to attend to work meetings from a cafe regardless of the noise is awesome.

ANC was already excellent in FB3 but even silicone tips i noticed some improvements. I stopped using voice isolation in my calls with my iphone or macbook and people do not notice I am walking in a loud traffic environment. Didn’t test loud multi speaker cafe environment with macbook with browser or zoom for full evaluation but mic definitely seems improved However sound quality shocked me, i tested fb3 and fb4 side by side with couple songs (EDM, basshead stuff, rock etc) I can hear every distinctive sound in the sound space without losing the satisfying loud noise and bass is satisfying better in regards to this soundstage nuance. And trebles the sound stage improved drastically as well. Bass was already great in 3 however treble and sound stage improvements makes the bass feel awesome as well. Perhaps they improved all of them but basically Freebuds pro 4 feels like the new high school Sennheiser buds for me. You completely enjoy listening all types of genre. Overall if you only care about sound quality I could recommend upgrading even after a week with them

having used XM4, XM5 and Linkbuds, so far 710N are doing better job.. no one complained of call quality. however for call quality Huawei freebuds pro 4 are the best

I have all of them. The Air5 Pro is slightly better than the other two for calls. On the other two models, they are ok in scenes where you don't have too much background noise, but the noise reduction algorithms muffle your own voice a little too aggressively when it's busy. I'll upload the Soundpeats one next week. The Soundcore have the strongest ANC, followed by the Soundpeats, but all three perform perfectly adequately. The cost is slightly higher, but their use of bone conduction voice mics mean the noise reduction algorithm never confuses your voice, regardless of scene complexity.

It depends on what you mean by 'good for calls' If you want a set that allows you to take calls in noisy locations and still be heard, Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 are the best bet. Almost all earbuds mentioned have really poor call quality despite being a primary concern. Huawei freebuds pro 4 is the best option hands down from that aspect and overall great buds. AZ100 might be the best allround earbuds right now but if they aren’t available that’s no option. If you can find jabra elite gen 2 still sold somewhere they are also a great allround option, even Gen 1 are great buds.

What made you put Bose above Freebuds? I have had Buds 3 pro in the past and currently using FreeBuds Pro 4. Every time I use it to make a call I feel like there's something lacking/missing out on FreeBuds but can't quite put a finger on it.

FreeBuds Pro 4, no question. Most earbuds sound quality within 5% of each other. But the microphone/call quality of the Free Buds is something I didn't think was possible. Can be on a crowded bus or a wind tunnel and all the other end can hear is my voice. They're also comfortable and sound great, and pretty small to carry/have in pocket

how does the transparency mod ecomapre to the airpods pro 2? in terms of hearing your own voice as well

Can you explain in what ways the fb4 is 'better' than the fb3? How would you personally measure the improvements in the following areas in percentage terms 1. ANC 2. Transparency 3. Sound 4. Calls Everything i've seen so far seems to suggest the improvements are not as great unless you use a Huawei device so for now i've canceled my order and ill await further 'real reviews' I was personally pretty excited to order these originally but then I heard call samples and ANC samples and to be honest I wasnt impressed - the improvements compared to the fb3 appear very very small if at all, and with the fb3 discount they appear to be a much better value option for those who just want great call quality. Whilst certain features may not be a factor for you its still useful to get a overall picture of the whole package so other users can make an informed decision. Thanks again

(More like a revision than a true upgrade then ) I care about the complete package and it seems that they didn't improve meaningfully in anc and transparency. Also the limited control customisation is frustrating ( looks like they have tried to get around this with a touch gesture but even that is limited ) These seem like a great option if u are in the Huawei ecosystem though . (Could u imagine where Huawei would be now if it wasn't rof the ban ...) I may still pick them up just out of curiosity to compete against my other earbuds and inform the community . Thanks again 👍

Very little improvements to anc and transparency apart from less white noise. I'm pretty disappointed actually Mroe like s 3.5 update and not a 4

Yeah so for me it's actually much closer than expected For specific frequencies the elite is better for anc for example on planes (engine and general cabin noise) Regarding transparency if I have both earbuds in and transparency turned on its more natural with the az100 but oddly if I just use one earbud it feels better with the elite 10 ( my own voice is clearer) Also the az100 does have adaptive transparency options so u can make changes to transparency level and u also have active anc in transparency to protect against sudden loud noises. Sound there is a very clear advantage with the az100 but fof everything else is very close and to be honest I'm a huge fan of the physical button. The key is the fit though. If u can get a good fit with the elite 10 then anc goes up a level. Regarding calls. Note that it takes a few seconds for background noise cancellation to kick in with the elite 10

back from my flight and no issues at all - anyone experiencing issues should RMA the units. Interestingly i noticed anc was better for me with the elite 10 gen 2 in terms of quieting the cabin noise than the az100 (but its a very small difference - not noticable if you have music on)

If you make alot of calls and want the best calls i would say stick with the Technics over the Huawei (the technics are not that far from the huawei really for calls yet have much much better sound) Which do you personally find more comfortable to wear between the Technics and the Huawei? The big con with the JBL (at least for me) is call quality - the noise gating is just a mess but other than that the jbl are excellent

Only one under that budget. FreeBuds pro 4 Else Az100 And bose qc ultra with latest update Connect any or above with jabra link 370 or 380 for better performance than standard Bluetooth in Windows too Sadly none of the current certified earbuds are any good. Even the jbl tour pro 3 which is zoom certified does not activate mic noise cancellation when using case

I tested them also and was surprised that the sound is that good. Didn't chose them because of the short battery life, everything else was really good, especially for the price.

Bought those 3 In Ears and can't decide which one to keep. The JBL are my favorite in terms of Features, ANC and comfort, but the case is huge. The Technics have the best sound quality and the Huawei the best microphone and the most portable case. The sound of the and JBL and Huawei are not bad in any means, but not as good as the Technics. Any input to help me decide? Using them often for calls but also want good sound and a comfortable fit.

Hi guys, I’ve tried a few earbuds out the last few days and need advice on earbuds that go louder than my current ones… They are for general use and the gym I own the Soundcore Sport X20 (Keeping these as the are great for the money) A pair of Huawei Freebuds Pro 4 arrived today off of Amazon and I wouldn’t say there is a huge difference in volume (if any) or audio quality over the Soundcore buds, Probably send them back tomorrow to Amazon, I’m not blown away by them Any others you recommend? I use TIDAL Hi res Audio for all my music Haven’t tried any of the earbuds in the picture How would they compare ? Need ones that just go a “bit louder” with amazing audio quality Yes my hearing is fine 🤣 and I also like a fair bit of bass, as long as it’s not distorted ! Listening to primarily Rock Music and jazz funk I prefer to use memory foam tips as the seal is greater on those than silicon…

The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 are one of the best in terms sub-$200 Earbuds, for providing: Ear tips 7 pairs (silicone ear tips: L, M, S, XS; shape-memory Foam Ear Tips: L, M, S; with the M-sized silicone pair attached on earbuds by default) The Foam Ear Tips are an absolute god send for since not only do they improve the ANC a bit, but also significantly improve the secureness of the fit. I can run, talk and chew without the Earbuds coming loose with the Foam Tips! Cheers!

Not sure on that one. Maybe try asking in r/Huawei I don’t think you need replacements since the ones included with the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 4 seem to be very durable and secure when snapped into the Earbuds.

If the occlusion bothers you on your HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 3, then you will not like the AZ100 since it's a bit worse. And until Bose improves their AI to silence background noise in loud crowded environments, I would stay away from the QC Ultra Earbuds 2nd Gen. So, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are the best balance for calls for you. I think for most other people, the side tone and occlusion experience would be more than acceptable on the Technics AZ100/80 and above on my ranking list, and they will only notice it if really paying attention and comparing to Samsung, Bose, and Apple.

I don't know why no one suggested Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3/4 or FreeBuds Clip. If calls are the priority, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3/4 are the best choice.

For earbuds i only tried Huawei and they are great sound and battery life. Not so much on noise cancellation if nothing was playing. Tried both the free bud pro, and the clip

If you don't mind about noise cancelling get the Huawei Freeclips. If you want noise cancelling get the Huawei Freebuds Pro (2, 3 or 4, they are all good). I personally use the Freeclips for everything, they are the most comfy and sport friendly earbuds imo.

My Huawei Freebuds Pro just broke last week, they are around 3.5 years old. My theory is that the ANC mic broke, which caused it to compensate for a huge sound that didn't even exist, which caused the right driver to blow. Got a pair of Earfun Air Pro 4's a couple of days ago. They're great.

The touch controls are a bit finicky indeed. My old Freebuds Pro's were much easier: they can detect when you pinch the stem. I've been getting used to it though, I've had my Earfuns for a week or 2 now.

Not an audiophile and I still noticed the difference between the Buds 3 Pro and Huawe's Freebuds Pro. Lent my Buds 3 Pro to an actual audiophile and he can confirm the quality rivals Sony's. Not saying they are better, just they are in top tier range. I had to switch from spotify to Deezer, then Tidal to fully exploit them, and boy they are good. ANC works fine for me, there are some sounds that pass through but nothing that 75% volume doesn't fix. Transparent mode is awesome. Mic is low for some reason during calls, but recording it is good, so assuming a software issue.

After trying Technics for two days, owning both nothing and Huawei freebuds, I say Huawei knocks it out of park when it comes to overall performance. My bias also from a place that I wanted really good call quality because I take a lot of calls when I'm on a call in central City, and they have been amazing. Goddamn, finally the excessive time, research and money I’ve sank into earbuds will serve someone else well. Huawei Freebuds. Active background noise cancelling for calls and call clarity blows everything else out of the water. I can be in a building with horns blaring, industrial mechanical room talking to tech support, I’ve even stuck my head out the window on the highway and somehow the person hears nothing but your voice. All the call quality and ANC listening features are as good as my Bose Quitecomforts were, but I use them for hands free calling all the time and got sick of people not being able to hear me. Huawei were game changers

It does, the ANC is as good as my AirPod pros were. The ANC in the Bose QCs is even better than both if you’re ONLY concerned with sound and ANC, but the call quality is so shitty I couldn’t even use them for phone calls, which is probably 50% of the reason I have earbuds
