I just purchased a pair in black, great sound, actually some of the best I've heard for this form factor, clear and with awesome bass, I use the EQ on my phone it's great, also the touch controls are very responsive, work a lot better than several others I've had, I only wish that the app would allow for a battery notification to appear or a widget showing this, but yeah, for the price, this feels like quality.
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->It worked fine to me. Pairing is a bit funny with the earbuds: you've got to have them both in the case and hold both of the touch zones for 10 seconds for it to enter pairing mode. You'll see the case's light start to flash white.
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->I just got mine today for like $25 I’m really happy with my purchase it’s really an amazing buds with that price
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->You'll also be missing out on using triple tap and hold functions. But as OP said, if these aren't important to you then not a big deal
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->I just bought a freebuds se 2 from huawei out of curiosity and I was surprised on how it sounds. Around 900 pesos lang siya when I got it. Truly bang for the buck.
r/Tech_Philippines • Wireless earbuds under 2k? ->What wired headphones or earbuds have you tried with the \*best\* mic performance? Maybe an option with a boom (like the V-Moda?), but more looking for one that's just an in-line mic. Edifier P180 was pretty good (although voice was a bit quiet), but no longer made AFAICT. I'm always impressed with how good some of the inexpensive earbuds are for music these days (Monks, RY4S, etc), but how mediocre the mics and how low the sensitivity. Do they spend the entire budget on drivers and leftover change on the mic? For bluetooth, I'm always amazed at how bad the mics tend to be - even Airpods (although haven't tried the newest). I can tell when a friend is on Airpods because their voice sounds so harsh. I stumbled on the Huawei Freebuds SE2 which are better in every way - my favorite for bluetooth. Still looking for a great inexpensive wired headset, though.
r/IAmA • I’m the headphone expert at Wirecutter, the New York Times’s product review site. I’ve tested nearly 2,000 pairs of headphones and earbuds. Ask me anything. ->4 months late comment but anyways: your Freebuds SE are in-ears and SE 2 are earbuds, which means they are completely different. If you want earbuds, go ahead, they're probably the best for its price, but if you like the sound quality of your first generation SE's and you want other in-ears to upgrade, don't buy them because they are not an upgrade, since they have another purpose. I'd recommend Redmi Buds 6 Lite or Buds 6 (flat) if affordable for you instead
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->Used Airpods pro before but they kept falling out when sweating or jumping around on the trail. Also tried Shokz from a friend but the sound quality is so bad for the insane price you pay. Settled on Huawei freebuds se 2, they’re super cheap for the sound they produce. 8h battery on 1 charge it says 9h but 8h is realistic. You can still hear your surroundings perfectly and they never fall out when I sweat or jump around.
r/ultrarunning • Good earbuds for Trail Running? ->So like many others I've seen online I've used Airpods gen 2 for a long time. My main reason for using them was this: They fit my ears PERFECTLY. As if they were actually made specifically for me basically. So I was pretty upset when I saw the gen 3 airpods that looked way less ergonomic and when I tried them in a store they really did suck compared to the gen 2 airpods when it comes to how they fit. And the market is flooded with either Airpods 3 clones or earbuds with silicone tips, both of which I hate. So I kept using gen 2 airpods because they fit well but the experience on an android device REALLY sux. Connection issues, constant problems with them getting disconnected entirely, I have to insert them into my ears TWICE every time I use them because the first time NEVER works, etc, etc. But then I start doing research and I come across the popular, well reviewed, JBL Live Flex earbuds. I order them from JBL directly, try them and yeah the bass is super loud and they connect seamlessly, but they have a separate MODE for when you want to play music or play video?? I'm sorry what? I'm supposed to go into the JBL app every time I switch from music to video and vice versa?? (Yes, you are. There is no automatic switching between the two modes). That alone was enough to hand them back to JBL but then on top of that they had up to 200ms lag, even WITH video mode turned on. And to top it all off they fit poorly in my ears simply because they were too big and my ears started to hurt after about 40 mins of use. So... For less than a third of the price of the Airpods 2 and the JBL Live Flex, the Freebuds SE 2 pop up in an ad and I decide to buy them. There's no way it can sound remotely as good as JBL or Apple right? Wrong. They sound punchier. Better. Clearer and more precise. They're basically what the apple airpods 3 should have been in my opinion (check out mrwhosetheboss review of these in a huawei video he made, he echoes these opinions as well). And somehow, for me, they fit even BETTER than the Airpods. Just like airpods it feels like having nothing in my ears at all when I wear my Freebuds but the freebuds just sound better. WAY better. Call quality is also better than both Apple and JBLs offerings. This is the first time I don't have to switch to speakerphone while using earbuds, they just work! On top of that they also: - have BT 5.3 with better range than Airpods 2 - they have 9 hours of battery and they actually do have that much in my experience. Longest session I've used them is 8 hours so I believe it could last another hour. - They have EQ if you download their app (but more on that later) So what's not to like? Well, the app you use to configure the freebuds is the "HUAWEI AI LIFE" app. And they basically want all of your personal info from you in order for you to use that app. On top of that the app is only available by searching for it online and downloading an APK from Huawei. So if the app needs an update you'll have to do that again. But honestly, I'm way too in love with these earbuds to care. It feels like I sold my soul to Huawei but I still think it's good value. And you don't HAVE to download the app, they work fine out of the box. So anyways I hope this review helps someone like me out there, I was looking for someone who had compared the freebuds to the airpods and I could't find anything so hopefully this is useful for you! Airpods 2-like semi open earbuds for android exist, and they cost less than they should.
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->I've had many different models, and love TWS. Airpods, Clone Airpods, Qcy Ht05, etc.. In this moment I own a Huawei Freebuds SE 2 and a Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro and gonna be honest with you, 99% of the time, the "cool features" makes no difference. ANC, Transparency, Multiple controls in earbuds, auto stop when removed... in my experience, in the daily usage - which is GYM + Home Office work, I turn them on, plug in my ears and use them for music or conversation. The only things I would say REALLY matters is battery life and fit. And this last one you can't check through reviewers. You have to check by yourself. TL/DR - go with the one that best adjust to your budget and you like the most. Features you should care about: great fit and battery life.
r/Earbuds • How am I supposed to pick a good Earbud when EVERY single post/website I see says something different? ->I got these because of your review -- these were on sale for about 17 USD direct from Huawei (I'm in Asia tho, so it's easy to buy Chinese products). And I agree 100% with everything you said. Cannot believe these sound so good! I have teeny tiny toddler-sized ears + tmjd so I'm more about comfort than sound --- I also have really sensitive hearing and can hear cockroaches crawling (literally😂), which is weird to say but not sure how else I can convince yall that I can hear the tiniest of sounds 😂 Anyway, the point is, I'm not really bothered by earbuds that aren't loud enough (because I read or watched a review somewhere saying that Huawei's SE2 aren't loud enough). For me, these earbuds sound loud enough. I've tried my husband's Bose and those sound exquisite but not really comfortable in the long run. Plus the price difference is insane. The difference is mostly because of the design -- semi in ear earbuds aren't really supposed to give you a surround sound sort of experience, although for me with small ear canals, semi-in ear earbuds sound as good as in-ear since in-ear designs don't go fully into my ear canal (they're THAT small). Airpods-like design is what really fits my teeny tiny ears. I'm coming from 1more comfobuds 2 and the huawei freebuds se2 is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of comfort and sound quality. Almost everything I tested sounded great except for 'Primvera - Ludovico Einaudi' on Spotify (I don't know how to describe it technically but the instruments feel like they're competing with each other and too whooshy/breathy with too much air?! haha). But aside from that song, so far everything sounded good out of the box. So I guess I'll just have to sell my soul and download the app. I already sold my soul to Xiaomi when I had to download their app for the cameras and other stuff 😂 I was gonna buy either the huawei or the oppo enco air 3 which was about 23 USD. Ended up choosing the huawei because it had 9 hours of battery life vs Oppo's 5 hours. Just putting this out here to help anyone choosing their next cheap earbuds! It took me ages to decide for something cheap because money's tight! If anyone out there has the same problem as I am --- tmjd, small ears, no budget but need non-wired earbuds (I already have wired earphones and headphones)...then hope this comment helps!
r/Earbuds • HUAWEI Freebuds SE 2 - FINALLY a worthy successor to Airpods 2 (and why JBL Live Flex Sux) ->I recently bought the Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 Bluetooth Handsfree for 25€. I saw that the reviews were good and for that price it was a steal. The sound is loud and clear with good bass, the battery life is 9h as advertised (have tested for 4h and it was at ~50%), the mic is also very good. The app needs to be installed directly with an apk and has only presets for eq, but it's enough for me. btw I use android.
r/Earbuds • What cheap earbuds to buy? ->Tbh you will never get decent quality in bluetooth wirebuds due to their technology. That said, check out apple wired earphone for 20 bucks only if going wired. Or huawei freebuds se2 which i use and its under 50
r/Earbuds • What are the best Earbuds for comfort + call quality? ->After trying Technics for two days, owning both nothing and Huawei freebuds, I say Huawei knocks it out of park when it comes to overall performance. My bias also from a place that I wanted really good call quality because I take a lot of calls when I'm on a call in central City, and they have been amazing. I take a call in a cafe full of people and crying kids and the other person can't hear a thing and music quality is not bad either. it's pretty good, and ANC is also much better than nothing here. although the fit is much better with nothing here, you don't even feel they are in your ears come on there that good
r/Earbuds • The most recommended wireless earbuds on Reddit (r/Earbuds vs others comparison) Jan 2025 ->Huawei freebuds line. No other alternative with ldac capability. Full customizable eq aswell. Best bang for your buck. Good Noise canceling aswell.
r/Earbuds • Best Earbuds under €50 ->
