"The worst shape for me are the Jabra Elite / Sony WF-1000XM5 style that stick out way far from your ears. ... Never understood why they are designed to be so far outside your ear. ... Like you could never wear them with a bike or motorcycle helmet."
"I wish they stayed in my ears better when I'm in weird positions."
I’ve had a pair of Jabra elite 3’s for years and I think they’re excellent! Definitely sweat proof - run in the Australian summer and am usually completely saturated when finished a tough run. I’ve dropped them a few times and use them loads and the battery is still good. Never had an issue and I would gladly buy another pair if these ever die.
Yeah the 75ts are the ones I got first and fell in love with. Then I got the Jabra 3 elites and then the Jabra 4 actives. The only reason I got new ones is I lost the other ones. I now have an air tag on them. The best.
oh good to know. I really hate my samsung earbuds. I can't wait for them to break lol. I almost prefer my jabra elite 3, though the case is almost broken in half (it still charges!!!).
If you want good earbuds under $100 (and you’re open to second-hand to hit that budget), there are a few solid picks that beat basic cheap buds: For something comfy and sound quality-forward, people often like Sony WF-C700N or Jabra Elite 3. They usually pop up used in good condition under $100 and have balanced sound with reliable performance. If you want a slightly bass-heavier vibe, the Anker Soundcore Life P3 or JBL Live series are decent and easy to find second-hand. Since your Samsung Buds 2 Pro were higher-end, going used lets you hit closer to that feel without dropping big money. Before buying, I usually check the sound profile on [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co) so I know what kind of tuning I’m getting — especially with used buds, you want to make sure they’re still worth what you’re paying for.
i like jabra elite 3s for all uses can switch seamlessly between my phone and steam deck, they are earbuds though not headphones
I’ve had these same ones for years. Basically indestructible and the sound is solid. Grabbed a 2nd pair about a year and a half ago if/when my first pair dies
Love my/Jabra Elite 3s. Lasted for years. Still going strong. No connection issues.
I have small ears too and honestly, the Jabra Elite 3 have been the best fit for me so far. They’re super comfy, don’t fall out, and I can wear them for hours without any pain. The sound is really good for the price too. Way better fit than AirPods ever were for me.
I am considering getting Shokz OpenFit AIR True Wireless earbuds for running, I currently have the jabra elite 3 however they are constantly falling out of my ears and I have to adjust them. I like the idea of open ear for running outside to be aware of my surroundings, but can anyone tell me about using them in a gym environment? I like to use earphones to block out other people in the gym, I'm worried these will mean I can hear a lot of background noise. Also how do they go for glasses wearers? Will I need to wear my contacts for running with these?
I just got the soundcore space A40 with the current discounts you should be able to get them for $50. I totally get not wanting to have to keep replacing them, it’s annoying! My last pair (Jabra elite 3 no longer made) lasted 4 years with heavy abuse. They were dropped on concrete, fell down the stairs, exposed to woodshop dust, water and more. I’m honestly surprised they lasted as long as they did. They were ~$60 so don’t overlook the earbuds under $100!
