I have Jabra elite 4 and while they do connect to my steam deck, the microphone functionality does not work… I can only hear things from my steam deck on them. Are you able to use the microphone on your jabra elite 4 when using the steam deck? When I go to the audio options screen, it only shows them as an output device, but not as an input device.

If you liked the Jabra Elite 3, I’d say the closest all-around upgrade under $100 is the Soundcore Space A40. It’s got a balanced tuning with punchy bass, really compact shells that sit comfortably even on smaller ears, and a marathon battery life. If you want something super lightweight and simple, the Sony WF-C500 is a great option, very comfortable, clean sound, and no unnecessary frills. But if you want to stick with what you know, the Jabra Elite 4 is basically the natural successor to the Elite 3, with a similar fit and sound signature plus a few extras like multipoint and app EQ. Personally, I’d lean A40 first, WF-C500 if comfort is your top priority, and Elite 4 if you just want to stay in the Jabra ecosystem. And before you decide, try checking out the tuning on [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co), it’s a handy way to get a feel for how these sets sound before you buy.

Same here, originally had the Elite 6’s which died after the batteries seem to deteriorate rapidly. Bought the Elite 4’s to replace them, got a great black Friday deal on Amazon, they’ve been faultless for the past year or so. I use them for all sorts - running, gym, watching TV, hands free for phone and Teams calls. Highly recommend.

I have a pair of Jabra Elite 4 from 3 years ago that is hands down the best ANC I've tried so far. But they are getting old, Jabra exited the earbud market so support is scarce (they don't seem to be recognized by their app anymore.) so I'm looking for replacements. I tried the Sony WF-XM5s and Sony WF-C710N and despite both being well reviewd I personally found the audio profile in both to not be to my liking and the ANC to be weak enough to not even really be useful. Honestly it's kind of insane to me how well reviewed the XM5s because for the money they weren't worth it IMO. I've liked JLab stuff in the past so I tried JLab JBuds Pods ANC & JLab Epic Lab Edition and while I found the audio in both to be to my taste the ANC in the JBuds wasn't very good and the Epic Lab was better but still not as good as the 3 year old Jabra. I tried the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 based on Soundguys review and while the audio was good and the ANC was ok they arrived defective and started All 5 pairs I've tried also had a case that was awkward to get the earbuds out of them. I use an Android phone so I have no desire for Apple Airpods. What other options are there out there with good ANC?

I just bought a pair of Jabra Elite 4’s on Amazon 3 months ago. Reason I chose them over the 8’s is because I wanted physical buttons instead of touch sensitive controls. I’m a very heavy sweater and have had ZERO issues. Everything else I’ve used a variety of brands and types and the sweat has killed them all. Helps that they are cheap too I also own a pair of Shokz and they also check the boxes when it comes to being sweat proof and durable. Mostly use these for easy runs and long runs. The Jabra’s are for treadmill, gym, high intensity intervals, or anywhere I sweat heavy and don’t want to deal with ambient noise. Good luck!

Agreed 100%. Bone conduction headphones give me a headache and I like having the option of being able to wear only one earbud if I want to. These are the best running headphones I've had. The hear-through mode works pretty well, and I LOVE that they have physical buttons instead of the stupid touch controls that seem to be standard these days (which are next to useless if it's raining etc.)

I think I have the 4s and the batteries are starting to go, which makes me even sadder that Jabra isn't making more of the Elites. I love mine! I have little ears, so its hard to find earbuds that fit and don't hurt and sound great.

Obviously way too many Apple fanboys/girls. CMF (Nothing) Buds Pro 2 are amazing value under £100 and with a unique control wheel on the case. The app is also super clean with Dirac and Spatial audio, they would easily be in the top 10 for me at any price. Sony XM are great but have premature battery failure issues. Jabra Elites are excellent if spending over £50. Samsung Buds Pro 3 are excellent under £100 with cashback offers. OnePlus and Huawei also severely underrated.

Jabra Elite here as well. I do about 1K miles/year, nearly all urban streets and nearly all with sound canceling (it’s never good enough to block all noise). Especially with electric cars, it’s about eyes and defensive running period. Ears are important, sure. But in the quiet electric era (or in cities with scooters and bikes cultures), I find myself looking way more than listening. I’ve been dense urban area running for 15+ years (think NYC and the like), and the change is real. I know the consensus is anti-sound canceling or anti-earbud and even anti-music. But I’ve run a ridiculous amount of miles over the years and music is a big part is my running. But to be fair, I chose my headphones based on battery life. Once I had a marathon go wrong and my headphones died at 3.5 hours and I limped to a 5 hour walking finish. Damn, even a touch of music might have helped the struggle. Best of luck!

I saw Bone conductor headphones at Costco and I need a new pair they didn't have a display so i never bought them. I mostly use earbuds in the gym. I have Jabre elites right now but they are like 4 years old and the right speaker is almost out completely Not sure how I am supposed to buy newish tech without ever trying them before.

Probably gonna get flamed by the shoks gang but I really dont get the hype… I have been using my jabra elites for years and have had zero slipping or issues hearing my surroundings. Plus bone conduction sounds like booty cheeks. Unless my earbuds are cranked or in noise cancelling mode I can hear everything just fine. Idk thats just my opinion tho

I've had the Jabra elites for a couple years and just got a set of Shokz. I prefer the Jabras on my weekday short runs that end up being along streets with traffic because the noise from the cars drowns out the music with Shokz. If it's super early (still dark), less busy streets, or on the trail I go with the Shokz.

Jabra Evolve or Evolve 2 or Jabra Elite headphones / earbuds have pretty good microphones. You can get them for something for a fairly reasonable price used.

100%, I've struggled with finding a balance for good music, ANC, and comfort. Air pods are the GOAT IMO. I've had probably 4 different pairs of JBLs that work great but don't last long. Either the dust gets to them or the case stops charging the buds even when clean. I'm currently using Jabra Elites that are honestly great, though I wish they stayed in my ears better when I'm in weird positions. Edit: adding that I do not care about industry standards, my job isn't OSHA involved and has no actual safety standards enforced.

Honestly, given how often I lose earbuds and the battery issues, I stopped buying earbuds for longevity. I decide upon a price range and go with a company I recognise. My best pair has been a Jabra Elite. Unfortunately it seems they got rid of buttons. I hate how every company just releases update after update, with lessening improvements and higher prices.

Jabra is really good in a lot of ways but the poor codec support is a dealbreaker if you have Android. They sound like garbage with the older codecs. The ANC is also maybe 20% as good as the QC Ultra

I think I want these earphones. I've heard Isotunes suck, and some of the well recieved OSHA compliant earphones are stupid expensive so $220 ain't bad. I used to use Jabra Elites which I really liked, but using them while running a stump grinder made crazy loud and annoying feedback the whole time. I read that these headphones are very good with their ANC but I just wanna know if I can run a circular saw while using these and how well they will work for my residential contracting work? Thank you!

Agreed, you have to try several and pick a style that works for you. For me, the absolute best fit for my ears are the Samsung Buds Live, but they are the only ones that make that shape. The worst shape for me are the Jabra Elite / Sony WF-1000XM5 style that stick out way far from your ears. Never understood why they are designed to be so far outside your ear. Like you could never wear them with a bike or motorcycle helmet.

I also have tiny ear canals and the Jabra Elites have worked well for me, they’re secure 95% of the time unless I’m REALLY sweaty, but then usually a quick remove-wipe-replace does the trick.
