I'll be honest. I agree with all your points. The case is so scratchy I gave up trying to protect mine. When my airpods pro 2 arrived, I wrap it right away in a dbrand skin. A couple months later when I wanted to use case instead of skin, I peel it and it's scratched. How it got scratched I have zero idea. Since then I treat the charging case like my phone case, it's there to protect my airpods not to get protected. Since 2017 alone, I've used OG Airpods, Airpods 2, Jabra Elite 65t, Sony WF XM3, Airpods Pro 1, Sony WF XM4, and now Airpods Pro 2. I know the pros and cons of those earbuds because I don't just try them and return them to shop. In most cases, I wear them for months until they either break or lost. And of all those earbuds, my favorite is still Airpods Pro 2. I know it doesn't have custom EQ. I know it doesn't have custom EQ and it's not the cheapest or best sounding or best looking, or the one with the longest battery life. But I preferred it because of one thing. Comfort In terms of ergonomic, Airpods Pro 2 is perfect for me. And that is what made me worry about Airpods Pro 3. I wanted to try them to see if it would be as comfortable as the Pro 2 because if they aren't then I'm gonna have to buy the late batch Pro 2 that would hopefully last me another 3 years until the Pro 4 came out. When I wear my Pro 2 with transparency mode, sometimes I simply forgot that they're there. Discussions about Pro 3 seemed to be centered around their improved ANC, or polarizing sound signature. But I honestly don't care about those. I need ANC that's just enough to drown my gym poor taste in music when I'm exercising. If I need stronger ANC for flight, I'd take my Sonos Ace. And I don't care about sound quality because I hardly listen to any music. I use my airpods to either watch something, listen to podcast, or ambient sound when I'm working, so as long as it doesn't sound like a $10 earbud, I'm good. The increased battery life got me hyped because I always want my airpods pro to last an entire work day. But the issue of comfort really got me worried. More and more reviewers are coming out to say that they are not as comfortable as the Pro 2 and that really got me worried.

Jabra, they are the best because they have PHYSICAL BUTTONS! Touch controls are horrible, most buds don't fit my ears perfectly and require readjustment especially while working out. Jabra are the only ones that I don't have to turn off controls for because they won't pause/skip while using because they have physical buttons. Too bad Jabra isn't making new buds anymore.

I'm not really pressing buttons as often as I am adjusting them because I've found that most buds just don't fit very well in my ears. My left ear has a different hole size than my right and a lot of the newer earbuds designed to relieve pressure such as the Pixel Buds A and the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 actually end up fitting ridiculously loose in my ears. I constantly need to readjust them throughout my workouts (weightlifting, running, cardio). My OG Jabra Elite 65t are the most comfortable for working out just because I don't need to adjust them as much and I don't end up pausing things on accident.

Very sad news. Been using Elite 10s for the last year and 65ts before that. Safe to say my house was a Jabra house. Can’t see what out there directly replaces them :((( Here’s hoping my Elite 10s last forever

No. They probly won’t move when you exercise but they have a very loose fit. They don’t sit in your ear the way 65ts did.

I have used several elites over the years since 65t, then 75t, 85t and later elite 7 pro and am recently elite 10 gen 2. All had great sound and stayed in the ear except latest gen 2 for some reason. I lost a few, the rest stopped working after a year or due to some incidents like cases filled with water, dropped them in the washing machine, the dog destroyed them, and you get the gist. That being said, the older generations weren't perfect but were pretty durable and consistent. New generations boast to be everything you'll need but they seem to have more glitches than ever. My gen 2 stopped pausing audio when one bud is removed and keeps falling when I workout if I don't push them in after a while

For very high quality, yes.  That said, jabra 65t are probably your best bet in that range if youre looking for wireless.  Decent sound quality, good battery life.  I've used them as my commuter earbuds for about 5 years now.  They're lacking in the bells and whistles department though, and their app leaves something to be desired if you want to use them with something other than a phone or tablet. For wired, sennheiser ie200s are a bit more expensive but are worth the buy.

Jabra Elite 10 gen 2, upgraded from 85t and had 65t before those. The only TWS earbuds that make any sense IMO. Why tf does pixel buds not have a mute button?

Agreed. Had the 65ts and now the have the 75ts and they are both great. The only reason I upgraded was cause someone left the 75ts in our lost found and I snagged them before they were donated.

I’ve been using my 65t’s since around 2017 for work and still use them today as my main gym buds. I’ve also tried/owned Jabra 85t, AirPods Pro 2, Sony xm5’s, EarFun 3, CMF Pro 2, Tozo, Soundpeats, some more I’m forgetting, and most recently the Technics AZ80. The Technics are the most similar to the Jabra fit for me, albeit a bit heavier. I read that the AZ100’s are lighter and have better sound, but they’re also an extra hundred dollars, so there’s that. I’ve also seen online that some people are not as happy with the fit as with the 80’s, but then again fit can be very subjective.

I have the Jabra Elite 65t (2 pairs) and the Elite Active 65t. I average over 2 hours per day using the ear buds. I picked them both up at heavy discounts. I really only have 2 complaints: Elite 65t -- after about 6 months of use, the battery life fell off dramatically. I'm lucky if I get 45 minutes out of a full charge. This battery issue affected both sets of Elite 65t earbuds. If I didn't get them for super cheap, I'd have been upset. Active Elite 65t -- when I remove the earbuds from the case, they rarely automagically connect to my phone. The earbuds turn on but I have to manually press the button on each earbud to get them to connect. I probably should have sent them in when I first got them but I got them second hand (like new) and didn't bother. Otherwise, they have been great.

I've had Jabra 65t since 2018. It might be the longest any electronic device has lasted me. Used pretty much on every gym session 3-4x times a week. The battery now can barely last and I am also looking for replacement. That said, definetly take a look at Jabras. The fit for me was also great, for example Airpod pro did not fit well. I would love to get Elite Active 8 gen 2 but they are discontinued and sold out everywhere. Some lower models are still available tho. Not sure about the bass for your case, it's not my priority, but you get an app with decent EQ options.

Stay with Jabra.  I liked my 65t (I think that's what they were anyway) Took a chance on Samsung. They were way more expensive and the 'features' were all the drawbacks of touchscreen like controls on earbuds and none of the advantages.  Seriously do not get earbuds unless they have physical buttons.

I don't love bone conduction (and yes I've tried them). I find them good for some things, but find things like hip hop not great in them. I've been running in Jabra 65t and 75t for 4ish years now. They work great for me - they stay in place, they have "hear through" capability, and they're small.

I'm still rocking some Jabra 65s that just won't die (probably around 7 years old at this point, used nearly daily).  The Jabra aren't good at blocking outside noise so I researched earbuds actually made with construction/industrial environments in mind.   Elgin makes ANSI rated Bluetooth ear buds that are probably next in line when the Jabra's die.   These are ANSI rated for 25db noise reduction and are IP65 rated for dust and water intrusion.  https://elginusa.com/products/elgin-rebel-true-wireless-earplug-earbuds https://www.onlogic.com/blog/what-does-ip65-mean/

Have you all looked into replacement tips from Spinfit, Sedna, Azla? Those seem like a good option as they carry lots of sizes and fit the ear better than the standard tips. (I don’t own any, I just saw them recommended on another post in the sub. It looks like SS, then S are the smallest sizes. They all have instructions on how to select your size and model). Also on Amazon there are silicone behind the neck straps that you can fit to any earbud while running/working out and later take them off when you don’t need them. I’m still deciding on a lightweight, compact, good-sounding, earbud under $100 and most of all great fitting for running. I have some Anker Soundcore that fall out of my ear easily with any of the included tips. I also have older Jabra Elite (not the active), which are more comfortable but still not great for running..

Obviously way too many Apple fanboys/girls. CMF (Nothing) Buds Pro 2 are amazing value under £100 and with a unique control wheel on the case. The app is also super clean with Dirac and Spatial audio, they would easily be in the top 10 for me at any price. Sony XM are great but have premature battery failure issues. Jabra Elites are excellent if spending over £50. Samsung Buds Pro 3 are excellent under £100 with cashback offers. OnePlus and Huawei also severely underrated.

Jabra Elite here as well. I do about 1K miles/year, nearly all urban streets and nearly all with sound canceling (it’s never good enough to block all noise). Especially with electric cars, it’s about eyes and defensive running period. Ears are important, sure. But in the quiet electric era (or in cities with scooters and bikes cultures), I find myself looking way more than listening. I’ve been dense urban area running for 15+ years (think NYC and the like), and the change is real. I know the consensus is anti-sound canceling or anti-earbud and even anti-music. But I’ve run a ridiculous amount of miles over the years and music is a big part is my running. But to be fair, I chose my headphones based on battery life. Once I had a marathon go wrong and my headphones died at 3.5 hours and I limped to a 5 hour walking finish. Damn, even a touch of music might have helped the struggle. Best of luck!

I've had the Jabra elites for a couple years and just got a set of Shokz. I prefer the Jabras on my weekday short runs that end up being along streets with traffic because the noise from the cars drowns out the music with Shokz. If it's super early (still dark), less busy streets, or on the trail I go with the Shokz.

100%, I've struggled with finding a balance for good music, ANC, and comfort. Air pods are the GOAT IMO. I've had probably 4 different pairs of JBLs that work great but don't last long. Either the dust gets to them or the case stops charging the buds even when clean. I'm currently using Jabra Elites that are honestly great, though I wish they stayed in my ears better when I'm in weird positions. Edit: adding that I do not care about industry standards, my job isn't OSHA involved and has no actual safety standards enforced.

Honestly, given how often I lose earbuds and the battery issues, I stopped buying earbuds for longevity. I decide upon a price range and go with a company I recognise. My best pair has been a Jabra Elite. Unfortunately it seems they got rid of buttons. I hate how every company just releases update after update, with lessening improvements and higher prices.

I think I want these earphones. I've heard Isotunes suck, and some of the well recieved OSHA compliant earphones are stupid expensive so $220 ain't bad. I used to use Jabra Elites which I really liked, but using them while running a stump grinder made crazy loud and annoying feedback the whole time. I read that these headphones are very good with their ANC but I just wanna know if I can run a circular saw while using these and how well they will work for my residential contracting work? Thank you!

Agreed, you have to try several and pick a style that works for you. For me, the absolute best fit for my ears are the Samsung Buds Live, but they are the only ones that make that shape. The worst shape for me are the Jabra Elite / Sony WF-1000XM5 style that stick out way far from your ears. Never understood why they are designed to be so far outside your ear. Like you could never wear them with a bike or motorcycle helmet.
