Jabra Elite 8 Active. You can get the Gen 1 versions on the Jabra website for about $140 USD with a coupon code. It takes a bit of exploring the site to find the Gen 1 since they gave the new Gen 2 up front.

I'm not sure, I have one set of Elite 8 Gen 1 and two sets of Gen 2 (as well as multiple sets of Elite 10) and I've never experienced any of those problems. I would guess that you just got a defective set but since it happened with another set I wonder if there's some software/app issue? Maybe test the buds on a different device to see if they have the same problem? Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clearing caches, etc? Messing with your phone's audio/codec settings? I'm not really sure, I'm just brainstorming some avenues to check out to narrow down whether it's a hardware problem in the buds or some kind of mismatch/communication glitch happening somewhere between the phone and the buds.

Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro. Sony Linkbuds S and Jabra Elite 10 / 8 cases are fairly compact/flat but not as small as the Samsung. JLab Mini case is tiny but the sound isn't as good as any of the others listed here.

Amazon has jabra elite 7 actives new. They tend to have the active 8 gen 1 off and on at times so may try to find one on there. Got lucky myself and got 2 Pairs of the active 8 gen 1 and they are new

I must be lucky as I have the elite active 8 Gen 1 and the old active 75t ( I think thats what they were called) and don't have the hissing noise.. I do run and they are great for running... My one gripe is it doesn't seem as loud as my old ones.. I have Poweramp paid EQ and it still doesn't seem as loud, maybe I'm not adjusting the settings properly.. bass on them are great though

second Jabra Elite 8 Active. Yes its marketing for workouts but it does do the job in all features as it still sounds great and ANC is strong but limit expectations to not expect Sony/Bose strong and with the fit being secure and comfortable they will stay in your ears and can wear long time with long battery life. Theres a gen 1 and gen 2 and difference is gen 2 comes with a new case that can bluetooth transmit when plugged into older devices or like listening to the airplane audio you plug the case with the cable. Gen 2 also improved ANC and mics but the 2 versions also have a price difference so depends on budget. I owned both but upgraded from gen 1 to gen 2.

I recently switched from Airpods Pro 2 to Anker X20 for workout and found how convenient hooks for exercising. Transparency mode is mediocre comparing to Apple, call quality on par, sound quality- for me is enough for gym. I would add Jabra 8 active in your list, 1st gen still nice and you can find them on sale.

My go to earbud for morning/evening jog is Jabra Elite 8 (1st gen) as it really fits into your ear without fail and it just felt right. Sound quality is top notch as well. Battery life is something that I have to point out. Been using it on a daily basis for one full week (daily about 1 to 1.5 hours usage) and I still have my case at about 70% and both the earpiece at 100%! Meanwhile for the earbud I use for sleeping, I go with Jabra Elite 10 (1st gen). The feeling when you put the earbud into your ears are just magnificent and super soft to a point that you might not even realize there's something in your ear! Sound quality, you don't have to ask. Magnifique! Then for my daily routine in the office, my go to earbud is my Sony WF-1000XM5 which is offering a great and beautiful voice while I'm listening to my music or answering phone call.

I have the JE 10 g2, and found them bigger then my old JB 8's g1.

Galaxy bud pro 3 and jabra elite gen 1 amazing for call quality while doing gym training session.

Almost all earbuds mentioned have really poor call quality despite being a primary concern. Huawei freebuds pro 4 is the best option hands down from that aspect and overall great buds. AZ100 might be the best allround earbuds right now but if they aren’t available that’s no option. If you can find jabra elite gen 2 still sold somewhere they are also a great allround option, even Gen 1 are great buds.

Jabra elite 10/8 Gen 1 and Gen 2. The Elite 10 buttons are sensitive enough you can press them with your shoulder.

The best and most reliable earphones I have are the JLAB GO POP+. I've used them in extreme cold and heat, they've gone through the washer and dryer, and the charge lasts forever. They cost $25 and sound better than almost every more expensive pair I've owned. Runner up would be Jabra Elite Active series for me, but I've killed too many of them with sweat and they cost like 4x the price. To be fair, they always replace them under warranty, but it'd be cool if they didn't break instead. We need to stop pretending Shokz sound anything remotely adjacent to "good." They do not. They serve a purpose, and if that purpose serves you, great, but they do not sound objectively "good" in any sense of the concept as it relates to listening music in the real world. IOW, if you bought any other product to listen to while not running and it sounded like Shokz, you'd assume it was broken.

I’ve had the Bose sports, aftershokz, and Jabra. My favorite is just the AirPod Pros.

You can snag the jabras 10 if you're commuting and care about talking, 8 if you're active. They say they are discontinuing their earbuds line but 1. It'll be back 2. I still have every set I've ever owned and haven't had any issues. If you get 2 years out of them at 169 that about .25 cents per day. Great deal for great use but they'll last longer.

I have the Jabra elite 8 and the wind noise is terrible. I love them though, I never really need to use the hearthrough function.

I've been looking into a buds option. I have the steelseries 7p. And own some jabra elite 8 active, and love them for comfort and sound quality. While researching found out jabra bought arctis in 2021 and there the similarity of designs. Read some reviews that on ps5 the audio is low. Has this been fixed, or not had the issue at all?

I really like the Jabra Elite 8s and then the constant noise started in the left ear that can’t be fixed and in just over a year they won’t replace them (Aust warranty). So I wouldn’t recommend them.

I got the elite active 8 recently and use them for nearly all my runs and find them great! Sit well but everyone’s ears are different of course, they come with three choices of buds.

Ah, unfortunately they have clicky buttons. They actuate but very slightly. Unfortunately I have to wear PPE at my job and the buttons are a must to be able to control anything I'm listening to. It looks like their Elite 8 Active don't have clicky buttons though! Edit: I looked at their product page where there is an interactive 3D view of the Elite Active 8 and can confirm that I do not see any buttons. Probably helps them be waterproof.

I’d be giving a stronger look at the Jabras unfortunately there will likely be a point in the life of any given eartip where you’ll be thinking about the chance of the Sony bud falling out. That’s ok for me as a gym user or when bouldering but for a runner I’d feel like it would get annoying. Realistically sound quality means nothing if they can’t stay in your ears whist you’re using them so you should be prioritising a strong fit that requires minimal readjustment in the middle of a run. Also the Jabras appear to be sweatproof too.

I have some Jabra’s Elite’s and the thump is horrible. Useless for running.

Their quality is good but I wish I’d gotten AirPods. Jabari’s don’t listen for hey siri And I use AI and Siri all the time

I’m running it this year and plan to use my jabra elite 8’s. I have jabra 75t’s too and they’ve held up for every race. They have hear thru and I enjoy the fit in my ear. I plan to run with a belt or vest so may bring the case for the first time if I’m at all worried about battery life, but I’ve never had them die so far during long runs.

Jabra makes awesome Bluetooth earbuds and they're getting out of the consumer products game. (They're bread and butter is telecom stuff) I have the Jabra elite 8s and they're awesome.

Elite 8s are awesome. I bought xm5s first but the fit was too brutal so returned them and got the jabras which fit like a glove

I've been a big fan of Jabra and always, wrongly, believed that the AirPods could never match the Elite's or the Sony XM. My last Jabra purchase was the Elite 8, which I now only use as a backup. I was shocked at the quality of the AirPods and the fact that they fitted my ears like a glove. I don't think you'll find much better for the price I've only had the opportunity to test the Sony's once, and I'd say stick to the AirPods

Love my AirPods Pro 2, but cannot recommend them for gym. They sound great, noise cancelling is top tier, they are really comfortable. But they fall out very easily with vigorous movement. Unless you buy silicone wing tips for them, they shake loose very easily. I would recommend Jabra Elite 8 active. Never budge from your ears, totally sweatproof, sound good with great bass. ANC not as good as APP2 though

Jabra Elite - I went through so many headphones that fell out, I honestly thought my ears were the wrong shape. These were recommended on here and they are amazing.

I've been running with the Jabra elite for the last year and a bit, sound quality and battery life are both good.

The best earbuds for working out have silicone tips. The ones without Ala airpods and galaxy buds 3 are not great at all. I use Bose QC Ultra AND Galaxy Buds3 Pro for the gym. Both are comfy and pretty secure. The Bose are better for ANC. Jabra Elite 10 & Elite 8 actives are also very good. Sennheiser Momentum Sport are fairly new and have the added advantage of little wingtips. They also come with a heart rate sensor built in. All the above do have silicone tips though. So without silicone tips u could something like Shokz or Bose Open buds (forget the exact name). Neither will have ANC and wont block out the rubbish background music that most gyms tend to blast out.

I love my Jabra Elite 8 Activea. Also, my Jabra 65t works great too.

Everyone says shocks or bone conducting but personally I can't stand those. I have Jabra elite 8s, great sound, never fall out, and the hear through works great too. Have run 3 half's and 2 fulls, never have ran out of battery provided they are properly charged beforehand.

I have the Jabra elite 8s. Got them for running. These things do not come out of my ears unless I pull them out. And they’re waterproof. I’m happy with them. The sound isn’t PERFECT but if you want something for running I would say these

They don’t work for me. The bud itself is too big. The elite 8s work perfect for my small ears.

I use Jabra Active. They're being phased out, so you might be able to get them cheaply. I use both in-ear and active noise cancelation, but they do have hear-through function

They don’t sound or even feel open. I think it’s just the bass vent. They’re very comfortable.. they just need better EQ options. I have basically everything, and nowadays I use Airpods 4 ANC (comfort is insane) and Pro 2’s (gym). Oh and Sony Inzone Buds for gaming. The Jabra 8 seem okay, but I find that stem design is too deep.

Both the Elite 8 and 10 received a software update that seemed to bump both up from average to very good.

They seem same. The complaints were they both were good for quiet calls since release but could not handle street noise, but this software patch went to both, and everyone says it so much easier to carry on conversations if you are walking to your car at the end of day with heavy street traffic.

Shockz are popular but I hated mine. Rubbed my ear sore when I wore sunglasses. Sound quality was meh to me. It's good enough but lacks the bass I wanted. Currently using beats fit pro. Has worked just fine for me and I only run with one in at a time. Used several Jabra before and never had an issue with those till the battery would go

I have Jabras Elite 8 and honestly forget when I have them on. Consider buying something like that. With other earbuds it was a lot different

I use Jabra elite 8. I've had no problems with them. Good sound. They stay in. Water proof.

You’re in a Bose sub so will get Bose recommendations. Are you just looking for sports earbuds or everyday earbuds to use with sports? The phone you have will can also change the recommendations. The Beats Fit Pro are good sports earbuds, but their ANC is lacking and I wasn’t a fan of their audio quality. Bose doesn’t offer a pair of sports earbuds anymore. Just the QC series with the QC earbuds II, QC Ultra earbuds, and their QC open earbuds (whatever they’re called). You’ll get stellar ANC and good audio quality with either the QC earbuds II or Ultra along with sweat resistance and a stable fit. Sony has the LinkBuds S with ok ANC but good sound quality, their fit seems fine for most people though they don’t have a stability fin. There’s also the WF-1000XM5 with ANC second only to Bose and, in my opinion, even better sound quality but their fit is even more divisive. Jabra makes a slew of earbuds with good sound quality and average ANC, especially the Elite 8 series made for exercising. There are others as well. It all depends on your phone, what you want out of them, and how you prioritize ANC.

Everyone's ears are different but I hear a significant difference between the air pro 4's and my AZ100 and my Jabra Elite 8. Closer to my Sennheiser Momentum TW 4, but still the soundstage and clarity of all those is at least a step above the earfuns. I've tried tuning the Earfuns, but they're considerably harsher, sibilant in the highs, and kind of compressed from 1k through about 5k. But that's just me.

I tried Jabra 8, Jabra 10, Sennheiser Momentum 4, Pixel Buds Pro 2 Kept the Pixel Buds Pro 2 Best mix of fit, battery life, ANC Found the Jabra comfy .. ANV good on the 8 but audio quality noticeably dipped when it was on. ANC was bad on the 10 for me. Worse than the 8. Momentum 4 has good ANC. Probably around the same as Buds Pro 2, maybe even better. But they were a bit bulky and prolonged use hurt my ears. Also the case is big, like twice as thick as the others. Annoying to carry around. Buds Pro 2 comfiest, still sound good, ANC good, small case with tracking and speaker etc. Got them for £150 on eBay. Happy with that .. Momentum sound better, but not leagues better for my use.

Get the 8 instead, should fit better than the 10 in small ears.

It's person dependant, I used to run with those exact buds with no issues but bought Shokz after I got my daiths pierced. Gave the jabras to my Dad and he has the thumping problem in one ear

I have these headphones and I absolutely love them, but the company is exiting the consumer product side of things. They dropped a new generation of the Elite 8's and then Jabra's parent company announced that they are peacing out to focus on the commercial/business side of things. I am sad about it!

I’ve been using the elite 8s for about 8 months. Only problem I had was the right ear bud stopped working randomly after first 5 months but Jabra was quick to send me a brand new pair, and they’ve been great. The left one on my old pair still works and I use it lots too

Jabra elite 8 are pretty fabulous. Got them during a black Friday sale last year, highly recommend.

I have the elite active 8 and zero complaints! Had them for almost a year now.

Maybe hot take bc I’ve never found any other bad reviews about them: I bought the elite 8 active and they are fucking terrible  1. The pass thru audio is absolutely garbage, all you can hear is WHHRRHRHRHRHRHRHRHRHRPPSSHSHSBSHSHSHSHHSHSHSHBS from the wind noise, it’s like driving 80mph with the windows down. The pass thru is also just bad and garbled in general, even when sitting and listening. It amplifies weird sounds and doesn’t amplify enough other sounds. Totally terrible  2. Build quality is meh. They feel cheap and plasticky. The case as well  3. Can’t comment on durability or water proof as I’m returning them  They cost way way way too much for how bad the noise cancelling is. I would expect the quality from like $80 Ali express crap This is coming from someone who is dissatisfied with AirPods and trying to find something new

Like the jabra active elite?? That’s what I use, never noticed this, I’m assuming just with hear through on? Cause no way u can hear footsteps with anc on… I’m goin out in a couple hours, gonna try and take more notice

Ya not sure I went for a run tonight and tried listening for it but I don’t get this issue with mine, wind noise is real though..

I run about 60 miles a week and have been for several years now, I have went through no less than 30 pair of earbuds in my time running. Shokz are for sure the best, I like the pair that are 2 separate earbuds that wrap around the back of your ear. Outside of Shokz, Jabra would be my second choice.

My Jabra Elite 8 left earbud quit working on me a couple months back and Jabra replaced them (under warranty) with the Gen 2 version. I think the new version is better handling wind noise. But I can’t saw 100% as I usually don’t use the near-through function. The Jabras are the ones that stay in my ear the best.

Jabra all the way I had the 7 elite, 7 pro and now the 8's and they all fit amazingly.

Originally I started with an over the ear one decades ago. Fast forward to a decade or so ago got the 75t, in particular because of the hear through. They actually tuned for each ear separately with a tone hearing test per ear. Forward to now, bought the Elite 8 and they are worth crap. Just a mini eating check to tune them. No longer per ear. Of course fell for the engraving so stuck with crap hear through. Batter life is good but that's about all. If you have 75t, keep them.

I have owned Jabra earbuds for like the last 5 years when they had the Elite 75t. I’ve owned those and the Elite Active 75t both They were both amazing but the Active 75t were the best earbuds I’ve ever owned hands down. I tried the Elite 8 and holy hell what a POS compared to the 75t. They’re becoming Apple by trying to make pretty colors and “adding technology” to make them “sound better”. Adding technology in this case means skimping out on driver size and build material quality. They also have practically no bass... so underwhelming. I really wish whoever decided to come in and make the changes would just stop. Oh yea, the fit sucks too especially after you even slightly break a sweat.

Jabra Elite 8 active version. I run (pavement and trail) and oly lift with these. Never had an issue with them coming out. They nearly always feel locked in too. The active noise cancelling is nice as well, but sometimes the higher frequencies will sneak through. For example, taking a collar off of the bar very quickly. They're also water proof.

I have the Elite 8's (not Gen 2) and it can be turned off. It has an option on the app for the low battery warning to be voice, tone or "off". I can get 8 hours with ANC only- but the ANC is not that great. I have a loud aircon that vibrates through the walls and its still faintly audible with ANC only. However, with a low volume audio track it disappears completely- but battery life is reduced.

Jabra earbuds (Active version) are the best for running and other outdoor workouts. I have been using Jabras for over 5 years now. Before that I had struggled with many different brands.

I have had a pair of Jabra active earbuds for almost 6 years and going strong. I commute 9 miles on my bicycle each day in the Florida and they are going strong. 

I did research relying on shitty top 10 lists, and invested in Jarva elite earbuds. I can thoroughlly recommend avoiding the brand entirely. A productthat bad doesnt come from a good company.

I have the Jabra Elite with ANC and find it’s decent. Not complete noise cancellation but good enough.

By working out do you mean some weightlifting or more cardio stuff where you are actively moving around a lot? Or even Crossfit or something? Difference will be how much you need a pair that will need to really really stay put. My thing is more powerlifting, so its not a big deal for me I can wear pretty much any bud apart from on the bench and they wont move. So it expands choice a bit, but I do look for dust and water rating because weight lifting chalk. More movement I would say look at Jabra Elite

Jabra elite. Love it for running (snug) and ANC feature. Price point is reasonable.

I also have a pair of Jabra Elites. The AirPod pro 2s are so good it is no contest. Obvious downside is attachment to Apple ecosystem and some incompatibility with using as general Bluetooth device

My experience was that they were great when they worked - but reliability was always pretty bad, and they wouldn't last more than 12-18 months at ost.

100%, I've struggled with finding a balance for good music, ANC, and comfort. Air pods are the GOAT IMO. I've had probably 4 different pairs of JBLs that work great but don't last long. Either the dust gets to them or the case stops charging the buds even when clean. I'm currently using Jabra Elites that are honestly great, though I wish they stayed in my ears better when I'm in weird positions. Edit: adding that I do not care about industry standards, my job isn't OSHA involved and has no actual safety standards enforced.

Jabra is really good in a lot of ways but the poor codec support is a dealbreaker if you have Android. They sound like garbage with the older codecs. The ANC is also maybe 20% as good as the QC Ultra

I think I want these earphones. I've heard Isotunes suck, and some of the well recieved OSHA compliant earphones are stupid expensive so $220 ain't bad. I used to use Jabra Elites which I really liked, but using them while running a stump grinder made crazy loud and annoying feedback the whole time. I read that these headphones are very good with their ANC but I just wanna know if I can run a circular saw while using these and how well they will work for my residential contracting work? Thank you!

This is bad news! Despite of some flaws, Jabra elites are solid, affordable and high quality buds.

I'm a huge fan of the Jabra Elite I got on Amazon for around $60, they were on sale to boot.

Had airpods 2, today was my first training with airpods 4 anc. Everything sits in place. I don’t have pro version, because my ears don’t like that silicone thing. And i had jabra elite previously, and earbuds falled of during walking.

I saw Bone conductor headphones at Costco and I need a new pair they didn't have a display so i never bought them. I mostly use earbuds in the gym. I have Jabre elites right now but they are like 4 years old and the right speaker is almost out completely Not sure how I am supposed to buy newish tech without ever trying them before.

Jabra Elite in-ears outfitted with Comply Foam tips for me. Very comfortable, fantastic isolation, and I've never come close to losing one while I sleep.  With this setup, there's no need to pack my bulky over-ears.

Obviously way too many Apple fanboys/girls. CMF (Nothing) Buds Pro 2 are amazing value under £100 and with a unique control wheel on the case. The app is also super clean with Dirac and Spatial audio, they would easily be in the top 10 for me at any price. Sony XM are great but have premature battery failure issues. Jabra Elites are excellent if spending over £50. Samsung Buds Pro 3 are excellent under £100 with cashback offers. OnePlus and Huawei also severely underrated.

I love my Jabra Elite headphones, but Jabra just announced that they're discontinuing the line. So don't wait too long if that's what you want.
