Your wants and needs are very similar to mine, except that I use Windows PC. I have had Elite 85t for over 4 years, and while they are still working OK, I have become increasingly frustrated by the mediocre voice call sound, poor hear-through mode, and terrible wind noise performance. I am currently waiting for the Sony WF-1000XM6 to be released and then will choose between those and probably the top Bose QC at the time. The Technics EAH-AZ100 are another great choice and the only earbuds I'm aware of that can multipoint with 3 devices, but their microphone isn't as good as the Bose. Google Pixel Buds 2 are a 4th choice, if I find an amazing sale, I may check them out. I know that whatever I buy I will probably end up buying the XM6 anyway, so am trying to resist the temptation to buy something else in the meantime.
I had jabras 85t and now i use oneplus buds 4. I use them in room with 74 dB industrial noise and buds 4 are much better and battery life is amazing.
Hi! I just wanted to post - more or less - the same question. So I hope it is okay to ask in this thread. My focus is on the call quality. I want the earbuds to reduce background noise for the callers and callers should hear me clearly. I have used Jabra 85t, which are a nightmare and some cheaper alternatives. I screened reddit and multiple times the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 were recommended. Are they still the way to go when looking for call quality? If so, is the app necessary? I would need to check how to get it on my Pixel. I also came across Nothing ear. Similar price range - 140 EUR for the Huaweis, around 120 EUR for Nothing ear. Thank you for your insights!
Not Gonna Lie, My Jabra Elite 85t's are still some of the best buds I own. Albeit a little bulky and If it weren't for that stupid Right only Mono Mode... I just don't understand why all the buds afterward were never as good at anything, sound, ANC, transparency etc. They got rid of the sliders etc.. They are perfect for live shows and loud environments.
An out-of-production set but still one of the best you can still buy is the Jabra 85t. I use mine for everything. The call quality is superb for you and also for whoever is on the line. It has 6 mics between the pair that cancels out nearly all unwanted noise.
The QC ultra earbuds are my third set of active noise cancelling headphones, and the noise cancellation on them is \*stunningly\* good. Connectivity isn't a problem although sometimes the app doesn't seem to be aware when the phone is connected to them. Minor gripes: I don't like touch controls as much as the physical buttons I had on my Jabra 85T's -- but I am willing to forgive this since this allows for full control with only one earbud (my jabra earbuds didn't pair independently of each other) I also find the QC charging case to be a bit on the large side, and build quality isn't as good as my Jabra case was. Sound quality is excellent, and I enjoy immersive sound even though it's clearly a gimmick.
I bought the Bose thinking that it was going to be the ultimate upgrade. But they were not as good as my Jabra elite 85t.
I've tried / used tens of them and the only ones don't fall no matter what I do is Jabra Elite 75t and 85t. It's not the best but good at everything hence the best overall.
