The Tour 3, really? Im gearing more towards the Endurance Peak 3, personally. Although, it may be just because i prefer the secure feel of the earhooks...
I have the endurance peak 3 and agree. I've tried ear buds, headphones and the earbud with the over the ear extension is best for any type of working out
Ive got the JBL endurance peak 3. They stay in well and have pretty good sound quality. Now Im a proponent of running without music though, it's the only time of the day when I don't have to be connected to a device and can just be alone with my thoughts
I use the jbl endurance peak 3 at the gym. (I never have a gym session that doesnt end in me absolutely drenched in sweat). They are bomb proof, have good sound, and stay locked in my ears.
I’m a runnner/lifter and work outside (physical job), these didn’t last me more than two months before messing up from sweat! Edit: they have nice speakers though
It depends on what you’re looking for. My requirements were long battery life, good IP rating, at least reasonable sound quality, noise canceling, not bone conduction. There aren’t a whole lot of good options for these requirements. I had the jabra elite 8 active and they were superior in every way. It was such a shame jabra arent making them anymore. I’d recommend SoundCore Sport x20. For the price it’s pretty bog standard but has good IP rating. The bass was a little excessive but you can adjust EQ settings in the app. Also you need to be pretty deliberate when pressing the buttons. Also the ANC can be a bit patchy, especially around traffic. Another option which is popular but I don’t recommend is the JBL endurance peak 3. I kept having charging issues. Fortunately they have a 1yr factory warranty but after returning the second pair I didn’t keep buying them. Also because the buttons arent pressable (it’s touch only), when it’s raining water would activate the buttons against my rain jacket.
JBL endurance peak 3. They have no ANC, actually have pass through and agree about indestructible. They are the hooked buds which aren't for everyone. Sound is a bit too bass heavy imo. Checks the rest of the boxes imo
Jbl endurance peak 3 are great for gym. They are purpose built for workouts and exercise.
Never used the JBL Peak 4s but had the 3s for a bit - wind noise was still pretty noticeable on faster descents tbh. You might want to look into earbuds with actual wind guards or just accept that cycling audio is gonna be compromised no matter what
Although not listed, I vouch for the JBL Endurance Peak 3. I got these after my Powerbeats 3 broke. They're a similar design to the Powerbeats Pro 2, but go for around $100. I've been using them for over a year now (maybe closer to 2). Perfect for gym use, and great for running. Sound quality is good enough for me, but I'm no audiophile. Battery life easily lasts 5 days at least of 3~ hour sessions; I usually charge them once a week. But like the Powerbeats Pro 2, the potential con is also glasses interference. I wear glasses normally, but I typically don't for exercise. However, during the summer time when I ran outside, they didn't bother me when wearing my bulkier sunglasses. Also, they had no issue with the sweat that I'm typically drenched in.
