I recently bought a pair and I love them. They sound very clear no joke.
r/JBL ⢠JBL Live Buds 3 Review ->So, recently I purchased the JBL Live Buds 3, and have been using them enough to have a review. I will format these in different categories in case you are just looking for something specific. Case/Battery - Boy. Now at first glance this may seem gimmicky. And for sure it is. However, a gimmick that I love? For sure. The case is very responsive and easy to use, and honestly my favorite part of these. Being able to change everything minus LDAC mode without having to go into the app is something I use more than I thought. The battery life IS longer on the Beam 3, with these getting about 8 hours with Anc on, 10 with it off. The case also feels very premium, as it should. Overall, the case gets a 10/10. Earbuds themselves - The buds are stemless and more of a bean stye. I personally prefer this since my ears do not fit the stem style ones as much. If you want the stems, go with the Beam 3. The fit on the Buds is great, and do not give your ears that hot feeling after long listening periods. Also, the touch controls (YMMV) always function 100x better for me on the bean style, and no different here. Being able to customize the gestures to what I like is a neccesity. Im left handed, so my setup is all play/pause mechanics on the left, and Anc/hearthrough on the right. No issues or complaints! You can input for volume control however you have to either not have Anc adjustment, or play/pause control. Didn't bother me because the volume can also be controlled by the case. 9/10 Sound - If you love that JBL signature sound, and your phone supports LDAC, go to your Best Buy right now and get these. Now, with the LDAC on you cannot use spacial audio or EQ, but I did not find a need to even use it anyway. The clarity is insane. The bass is booming (this may be an issue for some because it will stun you if you listen to a bass heavy song), the treble is at a perfect level to where it is not piercing, and vocals are CLEAN. This is with LDAC on. When turned off, they still sound great with booming bass and easily EQ'd, with the clarity only suffering a tiny bit, just noticeable enough. However, still great. Movies and music are great, no latency issues, just make sure to switch to video mode as it cuts out any delay if there was. Spacial audio is good in certain situations, sometimes it will just add a reverb effect for other things. Overall, 9/10 for sound quality. LDAC is amazing on these. To take the full effect make sure you go into your streaming platform and adjust for the highest quality to take full advantage. Durability - These haven't been out long enough to tell, but there is no need to babysit these. The case feels tough, and the buds have water and dust resistance, so you can use them while working out. No rating as these haven't been out long enough. ANC/Hearthrough - I find the Anc to be strong enough to block out sounds on the lowend, and are just decent for higher end noise. The Anc will not blow ypu away, but it should suffice for most people. Hearthrough to be honest is not great, but once again probably will suffice most people unless you have a hearing issue, then hearthrough might not work great. Put your hands over your ears and talk, and thats my best example of hearthrough on these. Anc - 7/10 Hearthrough - 6/10 Overall these are my new daily driver buds, I like them that much. I really do believe that most people who buy these will like them.
r/JBL ⢠JBL Live Buds 3 Review ->Yup! In terms of calls. On hearthrough i was laying in front of my fan and had no issues either, which wasn't the case with some earbuds I used. For sure its a shame that they did, but I got lucky to where I didn't feel the need to EQ.
r/JBL ⢠JBL Live Buds 3 Review ->The tune buds are a good size bigger, so i had a hard time with those. The Live buds fit a lot more flush with the ear.
r/JBL ⢠JBL Live Buds 3 Review ->ILOVE mine. Very well thought out and executed, classy product. SUPERB sound
r/JBL ⢠JBL Live Buds 3 Review ->I'm using JBL Live buds 3. Pretty awesome sound quality and decent noise cancellation as well. Doesn't have Dolby Atmos but it does support spatial and for some reason pixels don't support Bluetooth LE still. It's an issue from the Google firmware side I think.
r/GooglePixel ⢠Best wireless headphones/earbuds for Pixel Pro 9 ->I'm using JBL Live buds 3. It's pretty awesome. Awesome noise cancellation and great sound quality.
r/pixel_phones ⢠Best earbuds for cancelling noise in your opinion right now? ->JBL live series ( live buds 3, live beam 3) have the sound and comfort. I think you would be very pleased. Iām an audiophile listener, bass head, loud music sometimes, and I think these are awesome.
r/Earbuds ⢠Best earbuds to buy 2025 ->In my opinion, rather buy the momentum from sennheiser if you want another premium bud... Or something like soundcore liberty 4 pro if you don't mind midrange (it has better value). I have soundcore liberty 3 pro, xm5, bose qc ultra, momentum 4, gemini 2, and other budget buds. I was planning on getting pi8 but realized premium buds aren't worth the cost. If you already have 1 or 2 of premium buds, rather buy some midrange earbuds. So instead of pi8 I'm buy liberty 4 pro and jbl live bud 3. It's much better value.
r/Earbuds ⢠My early review of the Bowers Wilkins Pi8 ->The case should just be a charging case. The wireless charging option is legit, but I could do without the rest. Touchscreen, etc. Especially when everything can be done through the app. Aside from that, these are absolutely fantastic! I use buds mostly for music, movies, and podcasts. Calls when I feel like answering, lol. Overall, they sound much better than the under Armor flash X that unfortunately they met their demise when one got ran over. I had those for 4 years without any issues besides comfort. However, they'd start hurting my ears after 3 or 4 hours. They also started to lose battery life but nothing to complain about after 4 years of heavy use. When it came to buying another set of jbls, I wasn't skeptical. Hell, I was going to buy the flash x's again lol. Those were 250 when I bought them. I found the live beam 3's on sale on Amazon for 129! Donesky bro! For the price, I don't think I'd find better.
