r/HeadphoneAdvice • Affordable in ear/buds USB dongle Wireless Headsets? ->I had 2 pair of quantum tws and it was straight up trash, both got rma. The battery life is feels like 30 min with noise canceling on, if you get a drop of rain on it will die
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Affordable in ear/buds USB dongle Wireless Headsets? ->JBL qntum with USB c dongle. No latency and dope sound.
r/LegionGo • Wireless earbuds recommendations? ->I meant compared to traditional Bluetooth earphones. Not perfect but as close as it gets for wireless. 👍
r/LegionGo • Wireless earbuds recommendations? ->I recommend JBL Quantum air buds that include a proprietary 2.4ghz dongle. Much lower latency than Bluetooth
r/Quest3 • This is what I'll be buying next week ->I have had two pairs of these and cannot recommend them. Battery life took a nosedive at about the 2 month mark in both cases. I have since bought a pair of “Maxonair” earbuds with the 2.4ghz dongle and they are significantly better so far in terms of price, connectivity, sound quality and battery life. Time will tell if the battery has any more longevity.
r/buildapcsales • [Headphones] JBL Quantum TWS Earbuds - $49.99 (70% off) ->JBL quantum TWS. I put my phone on Airplane mode, leave it at home then connect the earbuds to my Apple Watch series 7 and hit the playlists. Only downside is the battery life; at 45min the left earbud dies. Trying to get a Airpods Pro gen 2 but can't find any in my country nor a reputable amazon seller who would ship in my country.
r/beginnerrunning • Runners, what headphones are you using? ->I did that. Sony Inzone have static/ white noise issues and JBL Quantum TWS sounds terrible. Razer Hammerhead or the ROG Cetra are much better than the ones from "reputable audio/gear manufacturer" ive listed.
r/ASUSROG • Thoughts on these Earbuds for 230 euros(Rog cetra true wireless speednova)? ->To add, the battery life seems to be significantly worse over 2.4 than Bluetooth. I’ve relegated these to my work backpack as they’re still decent for teams calls. I have a pair of Steelseries buds that I use for gaming now that have a much better battery life and work with my Xbox. The software on the JBL buds is a little obnoxious as well. Again, works well with the phone over Bluetooth. The constantly popups for the software reminder on PC are annoying
r/buildapcsales • [Headphones] JBL Quantum TWS Earbuds - $49.99 (70% off) ->I wouldn't get these, even at this discount. sound quality is fine, but battery life was poor and despite me not using them all that much, couple years later the battery is unusably bad; other earbuds I own haven't degraded like them. Even when new I'd get battery low warning after like 2.5 hours maybe. Oh also the mic is worse than you'd expect. they were novel when new being basically the only 2.4ghz earbuds out there, but there's so much competition now there's no reason to buy these. For this price range I would probably buy chinese no name ones over these; you'd at least get something with decent battery life.
r/buildapcsales • [Headphones] JBL Quantum TWS Earbuds - $49.99 (70% off) ->If you're looking at wireless, you realistically want something with a low latency transmitter. Bluetooth latency varies between about 90ms in ideal circumstances (both devices support a low-latency codec - which most gaming devices don't) and 300ms (this is what you'll get on most earbuds). 90ms is noticeable but you can tune it out, especially in slower-paced games. 300ms is jarring. A handful of Bluetooth earbuds support the latest GMAP profile, which can manage sub-40ms latency, but as far as I know, there's nothing out there that can transmit GMAP without a dongle. If you're looking at JBL, the JBL Quantum TWS and TWS Air are their offerings here. They sound pretty good, and you're looking at around 60ms of latency with the dongle, which is just about noticeable if you're looking for it but shouldn't be too distracting in most games. I'm not aware of any Tribit earbuds with low latency dongles, so I wouldn't look at them. There are a few earbuds on the market with lower latency, with the Sony INZONE Buds, the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova, the PrismXR Vega T1 and the Hecate GX05 all coming in around 30ms. None of these will particularly impress audiophiles, but they should all sound at least OK, and can all be EQed to taste. If you're looking for wired, you don't need to look at gaming specific stuff, and any of the great IEMs out now should work well.
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds for gaming? need recommendations ->Hard to beat the low latency and ANC that the Quantum TWS offer.
r/JBL • Gaming earbuds ->I bought these for $50 two years ago. It comes with a 2.4Ghz dongle so latency is very low, so they're able to play games. Everything about these are average, as in they're not good, but not bad (sound, comfort, features). But battery life is horrendous. When I got them new, it would only last 2.5-3 hours on 2.4ghz, which is terrible for 2023 standards. And after two years, they only last for like 45-60 min. If you want to try out wireless earbuds to use on your PC to replace your headphones/IEMs, then it's hard to go wrong for $50. But if you end up liking the freedom of having wireless earbuds on PC, then it'll just be a waste of money because they are subpar and you get what you pay for in $50. So maybe you'll want a more premium experience, but then you just wasted $50 to try out the JBL's. My actual advice would be to buy Sony Inzone Buds, and if you don't like them, return them. A couple of months ago, they were like $160. Now it's going for like $230. I have way too many good things to say about the Inzone Buds, that I got two of my bros using them everyday, and am trying to convince more. I only use my JBL Quantums when I need to charge my Inzone Buds, which is pretty much never because I'm no longer on my PC for more than 12 hours. But that is what I used to do when I used to be on my PC for more than 12
r/buildapcsales • [Headphones] JBL Quantum TWS Earbuds - $49.99 (70% off) ->I would recommend getting something with a type C 2.4ghz dongle. I use JBL quantum TWS. Less latency makes a big difference for the feel of games. They still support bluetooth for times when you cant use a dongle, but when you can, its a much better experience.
r/SteamDeck • Recommendations Needed: Best Wireless Earbuds ->I use JBL Quantum TWS Gaming for roomscale and some Final Audio A4000 IEM for my simrig. I have a Quest Pro.
r/virtualreality • Do any of you use wireless earbuds/iem for vr gaming? ->Bought these the moment they came out in 2022 for $150. At the time, there weren't many 2.4ghz earbuds options for low latency gaming and I wanted wireless gaming earbuds. These ear buds are extremely "ok" for $50 but there are better alternatives nowadays like the steel series ones. The JBL ones have a really bad battery so after some usage, they last about an hour or 2. The low battery indicator also sucks. It would block out the current audio and play a beep. No way to turn that off.
