"I love that the JBL resolve detail a lot better than those [Bose QC Ultra]."
"Better audio quality than Bose ... sound quality (I can get booming bass without distortion, unlike with Bose)"

"ANC is still above and beyond the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro you have."
"the best ANC"
"ANC is great with foam tips (pretty close to Quietcomforts 2024)"

"the best call quality"
"way better on phone calls ... better for calls"
"Case transmitter/receiver is a game changer also. ... I use them plugged in even when I'm just doing calls, the connectivity is so much cleaner than BT."

"Super comfy for me ... they feel like they might fall out, but they don't. I've worn them at the gym regularly, on hikes, etc. ... No discomfort unless it's been like the whole day. I guess the oval foam eartips + the shape fit me really well."
"Both of these seem to fit me very securely and I’ve run with both of them."
"Personally, they fit me perfectly."

"Personally I use it most often on my gaming PC because it has less latency than if I were to use the Bluetooth directly."
"This one's unique because you can plug in the case via USB-C or headphone jack into whatever and stream it directly to your earbuds with a little better quality than normal and with low latency."
"it can also be plugged into any usb-c or headphone port and act as a lossless transmitter, so if you travel or have any legacy devices or like to game without Bluetooth lag, the case can also be a plus."

"the case is seriously annoying to carry around because it's massive."
"the case is huge. ... It's stands out being very useful, but also very large :P ... The size of the case annoys me as I'm always carrying them with me."
"It's hefty for sure. ... my last earbuds were the Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2s, and that case was much more compact and super easy to travel with in comparison."

"Do you also have a high frequency noise when you're doing a phonecall with the JBLs? ... So weird that this hissing noise is only appearing when making a phone call. I haven't heard that noise in any other scenario. ... I unfortunately have it when just connecting via Bluetooth to my Androids or Windows PCs. ... Does anyone else has a high pitched beeping while on phone calls with the JBL Pro Tour 3? Really annoying and only noticeable during phone calls."
"let in wind noise which is ruining them for me."
"I don't use these alot go calls at the moment due to noise gating issues. ... The big con with the JBL (at least for me) is call quality - the noise gating is just a mess"

"not as secure as the xm5 ... the JBL generally has a more relaxed fit ... I wouldn't trust it to stay in my ears for exercise."
"the fit is uncomfortable after about an hour"
"can't get the proper fit, constantly adjusting the buds. ... I didn't get the proper fit with the foam tips"

"after the first day, the left earbud stopped connecting. ... i tried everything to fix the issue."
"the sound kept chopping up"
"JBL’s app can be a little clunky at times. I can be playing music (and have been for the last hour), open the app, and it can take 20-30 seconds to connect sometimes. Odd, but that’s about it."

This^ I just went down this rabbit hole and everyone's opinions online varied wildly from my own in person experiences. I ended up keeping Galaxy Buds 3 Pro (pixel phone). I tried Pixel Buds Pro 2, JBL Tour Pro 3, OnePlus Buds Pro 3, and Nothing Pro (2024).
JBL Tour, Bose QC, Sony XM4 and XM5, Liberty NC4... They all sound better but like I said, AirPods Pro 2 truly shine with their seamless integration into the Apple Ecosystem, transparent mode, ANC and call quality. You can basically put them on and forget they're there
The best ANC is not from airpods pro 3. If you have an iPhone an you are an apple fanboy that's probably believable. But in reality no. It's up there ebut def not the best ANC by any means. Also every one you named below then is actually above them except for JBL which is also better all around besides ambient an anc modes
They can be worth it if you value them. IMO, I can't trust anything less than $100 USD. I've bought a few pairs to try to convince me otherwise but end up going back to my expensive earbuds. The lowest pair I own are the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, JBL Tour Pro 3, Apple Airpods Pro 2, Google Pixel Buds Pro, and Soundscore Liberty 3 Pro. My preferred earbuds are the Bose Quietcomfort Ultra and Sony WF-1000XM5. I want to try more expensive earbuds, but at that point, over the ear are better.
The Tour Pro 3 are third on my fav list. First is Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 and second are Sony WF-1000XM5. The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are my favorite all around ear buds. Not the best but for every day use.
I’ve had all except the huawei. I still have the JBL’s. I love them. But I also have AirPods Pro 2 and most recently bought one plus buds pro 3. Out of them all the one plus buds are by favorite. I can’t wait for the pro 4’s and the new AirPods Pro. But I think the dual drivers really make a difference on the JBL and one plus.
I went with JBL TP3 and I love them. Sound is pretty good. I think the "Bass" EQ setting sounds the best. Non-EQ sound didn't have enough bass for me. I have been using the foam tips. They're comfortable, but I can't tell if I have a good seal or not. App says seal is good though. But they don't feel like they're stuck in my ear. Maybe that's normal.
JBL Tour Pro 3 are best value for money I think. It does a lot of things very well too, and I like its case has use too other than charging.
Get the JBL Tour Pro 3, its amazing value for money
Technics are all hype. JBL TP3 for me. Even the older Sennheiser MTW4s are better the AZ trash.
JBL Tour pro 3s sound amazing, and are just short of the best NC. I prefer them to AZ80s by a mile.
The biggest weakness of the JBL Tour Pro 3 for me was mic isolation. When i would use them to call people, they could hear me fine but they could also hear a pin drop in the room near me. Also, the case is HUGE. Besides those points, they’re great earbuds. I returned them and got the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra True Wireless. Returned those too, same reason — mic isolation. They were also super buggy, random disconnects and not detecting connections. I returned those and got the Sony WF-1000xm5 and I’m keeping these, for now. The music quality is on par with either the JBL and Bose. Noise cancellation is worse than Bose but better than JBL. Mic isolation is the best of the 3. The fit is the worst of the 3 but I got used to it very quickly. All of this is an experiment to see if there’s better earbuds than AirPod Pro 2. So far, the answer is no. I’d keep my AirPods Pro 2 over any of these. I’m probably going to return these Sony at some point and just hold out for AirPod Pro 3 when they come out.
I’ve tried a lot of high end earbuds, and the only one I consider on par with Airpod pro 2 is the Sony WF-1000XM5. Everything else that I’ve tried was retuned due to some deficiency or other. JBL Tour Pro 3 was close in many ways, but the case was too massive and the mic sucks for calls.
Make sure you get something with a good return policy, I will say fit and comfort is very personal. I tried the AZ100 and they do indeed sound great however they caused pain in my ear canals I could not relieve no matter what tip I tried. I also did not like the XM6 as I could not get a secure fit, again no matter what tips I tried. I'm currently using the JBL Tour Pro 3 and they are pretty solid, I find them comfortable and they are reasonably secure. Sound quality and ANC is good but a small step behind Sony and Bose I would say. I've always found Bose a comfortable fit for me so had the new Ultras been out I probably would have tried them. I don't think they have the best sound quality, but the comfort and noise cancelling are top of the line.
I did not like the XM5s personally. They sound good, but the fit did not work well for me and they felt large and like they stuck out too much. Definitely make sure you can return them if you try them and they don't fit well, all our ears are different but I've heard from a lot of people on them that they found them a poor fit. I really liked the Pixel Buds Pro 2. However I'm on my second pair that has developed the same issue the first pair had, which is a throbbing sound in one ear at times (kind of like the sound in a car when you only roll one window down). So I'm concerned about reliability on these and I'm out of warranty now. I have ended up with JBL tour pro 3s which so far I have really liked, good fit and comfortable and good sound. The LCD case is a bit of a gimmick though and I wish I could have gotten the same buds cheaper with a generic case.
I’m just gonna say, best ANC also depends on best fit, and passive isolation is as important as ANC. Sony’s fit my ears poorly, and the Technics caused ear canal pain due to their oval shape that the tips attach to. I find JBL Tour Pro 3 and Bose fit my ears best and thus will block the most noise with comfort. I’m mostly using JBL Tour Pro 3s these days, they probably don’t block noise quite as well as the latest Bose but they are comfortable and block plenty. Whatever you get make sure they fit and are comfortable, but from somewhere with a generous return policy.
