I use JLab Sport pro also. Solid, reliable, easy
JLab Sport earbuds are about $30 at Best Buy, CVS, Walmart. They hook over the ear and stay in pretty well I forget about them. Mine last me a good 6-8 months
Jlab epic pods anc 8 hours with anc, 12 hours without anc or ldac. Ip55 rated. I found this buying the jlabs Epic sport 4, I couldn't get one side to lock in with the hooks, but in fairness no hook earbuds work for me. I had one side of the sports fail with a lower volume after 1 day. I enjoyed them the first day and returned them. I like the epic pods elite, just wished the app was a little better,it works though. From the marketing literature: The JBuds Sport ANC 4 offers superior playtime, with 14+ hours in the buds (56-60+ hours total). The Epic Sport ANC 3 has 12+ hours in the buds (50+ hours total).

your sony xm5s aren’t broken their mics just suck. everyone complains about the muffled sound. technics az1000 and jbl tour pro 3 will sound a little clearer, but not worth dropping big money for just call quality. they’re sidegrades, not upgrades. for actual improvement on calls, look at jlab epic air or [even tagry’s](https://vorolab.github.io/grab/?q=LPY55865) newer sets. mics blow sony/bose out of the water for clarity.
I will say my Jlab epic air earbuds have lasted almost a decade so just because they are BT doesn't mean they won't last. Also have a pair of Samsung wireless headphones that are over a decade old. And a pair of Harmon Kardon BT headphones that are even older and I gave to my sister and she still uses them.
I have had mine for almost a decade. I don't wear earbuds as often anymore so they mostly sit unused, I actually thought the battery might be dead as they were not used for almost a year but they charged up fine last time I used them. The only thing I didn't like about them was that they could only pair with one device at a time, so if you wanted to say switch from computer to phone you would have to do the paring process again. But maybe that has changed in the last decade. Other than that good sound quality for the price.
JLab Epic Air Sport. Insane battery life, hook over ears so they don’t fall out. i mainly use them for drumming
i wear gun range headphones over them
I use J-lab epic air sport for when I want to shut out the world. The ear hooks keep them in place for lifting, running, and heavy bag work. If I want some situational awareness I switch to Shokz Open Run Pro2.
