"The case also includes a USB-C 2.4 GHz dongle, which is brilliant. I haven’t noticed any latency when using them with my gaming rig. ... With the dongle latency isn’t an issue. I’ve found my self using them for single player games a lot actually. Having noise canceling in ears while gaming has been an absolute game changer for immersion. The sound is rich, and the bass is good. Playing Jedi survivor and hearing all the beautiful lightsaber sounds while feeling them without any noises of the outside world is truly something amazing."

"have an 11 hour battery life and another 46 hours with the case. ... battery life is 10/10, up to 11/12 hours with no features on, about 6.5 hours in my testing with LDAC and ANC turned on. ... 8 hour work day? No problem."
"excellent battery life ... seem to hold up well over time ... longest lasting buds on the market ... just due to the convenience of the battery life alone ... And if that battery starts to degrade, there's enough overhead where I could still potentially get a good amount of time out of them before the issues are untenable."
"BLE battery life is better than if using a regular BT connection."

"Playing online games with friends is something I do not enjoy about them personally. ... The mic quality is meant for phone calls, and is very acceptable for that. I absolutely love my pair of JLab Epic Lab Editions. The space and separation are fantastic. Balanced with fantastic equalizer presets. The MSRP for $200. I seen them on sale as low as 70 bucks! Definitely the highest quality case as well.
r/Earbuds • The Best Earbuds at the Moment? ->My current favorite is the Jlab Epic Edition with the technics silicone tips. I cant believe how good it sounds, and that is after buying and returning almost all of the good ones. Denon perl pro, status 3anc, beoplay EX, xm5 etc. Transparency is so good for me, like 80% of airpods pro 2. Sound is leagues ahead of course, with LDAC and dual drivers. Only thing i dont like about them is the design. It looks too edgy but oh man the sound is unreal.
r/Earbuds • Technics EAH-AZ100 vs. Nothing Ear (2024): A Direct Comparison, No Defending ->Fit is good for smaller ears. I too have a smaller ear profile. Its just the design is not minimalistic (i dislike overbranding or loud designs in anything) but i believe the jlab epic edition destroys the nothing ears on sound. I just tried the nothings again and i still remain on the fact that the treble region is on the grainy side. The presentation is also very forward in the sense that, it is very in your face. Technics and jlab have better spacing and layering on the music. Each instrument have their own space, their own respective planes. I guess i only found this out after listening to them for a very long time. I am talking about months, going to a year now.
r/Earbuds • Technics EAH-AZ100 vs. Nothing Ear (2024): A Direct Comparison, No Defending ->I just got them for black friday. I have the AZ80 for a while now and i can safely say they can be in the same league with the Technics. Maybe a tad more refinement and resolution on the AZ80s, but the Jlab have stronger bass extension.
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->If you can try Jlab Epic Lab Edition, bought them for 120eur, also have B&W Pi8 for 350, Jlabs are on the same level sound wise
r/Earbuds • Looking for the best earbuds under 250$ - and overwhelmed by options ->So far, I've found the JLab Epic Lab Edition. Thanks to the two drivers, the sound is very good for both listening to music and creating an atmosphere in games. But the convenience could have been better.
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds have USB C dongle for gaming ? ->Own most of those but here to say the JLab are shockingly good
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds $300 or Less ->Let me start by saying that I am not usually one to write reviews. However, since I work with live sound and produce for a few bands, I'm no novice when it comes to audio. Over the past few years, I’ve used various wireless earbuds, including the AirPods Pro 2, Google Buds, Galaxy Buds, and Sennheiser Momentum 3s, before finding my true favorite: the Sony XM4s. They were amazing—until they weren’t. Out of nowhere, one earbud stopped working. No big deal, I thought; I’d just buy a replacement bud. Unfortunately, you can’t do that with Sony’s earbuds because each bud needs to be on the same firmware version before you can update them. As a dedicated Sony fanboy, this was disappointing. I was left with one bud on a battery-draining firmware and no way to fix it. Then, one day (Prime Day, to be specific), I got the shopping bug and saw JLab's Epic Lab Edition on sale for 50% off. I figured, why not? I pulled the trigger, and they arrived a few days ago. Let me say, the sound quality is actually incredible—not just for $100 earbuds. I’m talking it's on par with the Sennheisers and the Sonys. Yes, the bass hits hard for you bass enthusiasts. The ANC is pretty good as well, though nothing comes close to Sony’s. Now, back to the Epic Labs. The case’s build quality blows everything else out of the water. It’s metal, and the hinges feel as solid as the AirPods cases—an impressive step up from the XM4s. The case also includes a USB-C 2.4 GHz dongle, which is brilliant. I haven’t noticed any latency when using them with my gaming rig. I’d also like to give a shoutout for including a braided Type-C to Type-C cable, three sizes of foam tips, and three sizes of rubber tips. While I’ll stick with my SpinFits, I respect JLab for their high-quality offerings, especially at this price point. It really makes me hope that other major brands will step up their game. Worth $200 so far, if you find them on sale snag them right away. will update if i have any issues.
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->As a Sony fan boy, I really didn’t want to like them as much as I do especially considering how much cheaper they are. They feel more quality in the hand than any other earbud I’ve tried. Glad you’re enjoying them aswell
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->Awesome! Dude you won’t be disappointed, they’re absolutely nothing short of a premium earbud for a jaw dropping price
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->It’s actually pretty darn good. I will say, no headphone on the market touches AirPods transparency’s mode, but it is definitely very usable in an office use case
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->I personally made my own, but signature sounds good and so does bass boost
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->So you probably could, I haven’t used them for that however. I use them for YouTube and movies on my work computer and haven’t noticed any latency at all. I have a pair of open backs I use for gaming at the house
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->Disclaimer I am a PC gamer. So no idea how they are on console) But here’s an update With the dongle latency isn’t an issue. I’ve found my self using them for single player games a lot actually. Having noise canceling in ears while gaming has been an absolute game changer for immersion. The sound is rich, and the bass is good. Playing Jedi survivor and hearing all the beautiful lightsaber sounds while feeling them without any noises of the outside world is truly something amazing. However. Playing online games with friends is something I do not enjoy about them personally. Granted, it maybe just me. The mic quality is meant for phone calls, and is very acceptable for that. But not so much in the world of gaming headphones with built in decent mics. Or especially compared to my current setup with a Focusrite audio interface plugged into my XLR shure. Granted yes, you can use an external mic if you’d like. But In my shoes, my Audio interface gives me a feature that allows me to hear my voice straight into wired headphones with 0 delay at all. Yes windows has a feature like this, but it has a delay (on windows side, not the jlabs). And that single feature keeps me from using them for gaming online. Over all I’d say pull the trigger, from what I’ve seen they go on sale half off frequently. And tbh, it hurts to say as a Sony fanboy. But ever since I got these, I haven’t really thought about getting another pair of Sonys. They have been the least buggy headphones ive ever had
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->Really wasn’t that impressed with them TBH
r/Earbuds • The Very Best Earbuds to Buy? Recommendations and Comparisons ->Fine I guess. Fit didn’t feel good
r/Earbuds • The Very Best Earbuds to Buy? Recommendations and Comparisons ->They were good but fit didn’t work for me
r/Earbuds • The Best Bluetooth Earphone Now? ->I'll say that these are all fine choices. My favorite buds happen to not be on any list. They have amazing sound, come with foam tips, have an 11 hour battery life and another 46 hours with the case. Wireless charging, ANC, Transparency, all the essentials. Dual drivers, multi-connect, even a usb c dongle that fits in the case, and can be found on sale for as low as $99. I'm of course talking about the Jlab Epic Lab buds. I've owned many pairs, and these are my favorite right now. Sound is 9/10, Aaronknowsbest I think compared these to the xm5 and they sound identical. battery life is 10/10, up to 11/12 hours with no features on, about 6.5 hours in my testing with LDAC and ANC turned on. Comfort is 9/10, connectivity is 10/10, still remains pretty portable with its larger battery size. Case is made from metal. Bottom half of buds are a clear smoky plastic so you can see inside of them, very cool. They check all the boxes for me. 8 hour work day? No problem. 3 hour gaming session with lag free dongle while combining game sound with party chat? No issues. They have a pretty far Bluetooth range as well. They might not be the best in every category but they're the best for me. Just goes to show you that while there are overall earbuds that are ranked in the top five, there's going to be some outliers that some people are going to love above all of them.
r/Earbuds • What are the Very Best Earbuds to Buy Now? ->The steel series Xbox version game buds.. Better than the Jlab epic lab and Anker VR P10. You actually do get around 8 hours on a charge with ANC or transparency. USBC dongle is case friendly and has a super low latency. There's over 100 presets for each game. They are my new favorite gaming buds. There's like another 32 hours in the case
r/ROGAllyX • Best earphones to pair up with the allyx? ->I wanted to try the Sony Inzone earbuds, got some used for $50. Specs say they have the same drivers as the XM5 and, they probably do? They sound good, I just don't know if they are XM5 good. Might be the silicone ear tips hampering it and lack of LDAC. Why did I get them? Just looking for the perfect earbud for PC use / phone use. 12+ hour battery life on Bluetooth / PC was a selling point for me. It holds up. After 3 hours they are both at 78% with ambient sound and custom eq on. Anyone else have these? I have some issues, wanna know if someone else does too. 1. Changing the volume on my phone there is a slight delay between the two, there is also a delay between the two when voice notifications sound off. Is this normal? Not syncing up? "Blu-blu too -ooth con -on ect-ct ed-ed." 2. PC connection doesn't allow me to pause / play YouTube, or volume up / down. These control options only work on Bluetooth, and not the dongle. Is this right? 3. I already got one random disconnect after the first hour. Was listening to a podcast on the dongle and it just randomly stopped. Hope it doesn't happen all the time. I'll now do a quick comparison to the other USBC "Gaming" all-in-one buds that I've tried. Sony Inzone buds - 12 hour continuous battery life is huge, no matter what settings are on. Best sound quality of them all. Best mic of them all. Downside is no wireless charging, large case that doesn't hold much of a charge, and I'd say ambient mode is too quiet. Steelseries Artic buds - Best ear fit for me. Functions and controls are the best. Best total battery life at 10 hours per charge and another 30 hours in case. Wireless charging. Smallest earbud and case. Downside is friends will sometimes complain about the bad mic quality, ANC is barely there, and case feels kinda cheap. Jlabs Epic Lab - Best Build quality. Nice aluminum case. Includes foam tips. Not many options for sound settings but they are rock solid. ANC / Transparency mode get the job done. Downside is battery life isn't as advertised, Maybe 5 hours at most with another 24 hours or so in the case, they don't stay in my ear sometimes falling out, and their mic sounds a little robotic. Also for whatever reason I get like 100 notifications that it's connected to my phone every hour. Anker Oculus P10 - Affordable. Best sound Quality for it's price. Cool LED lights. USBC passthrough that works on most devices. Downside is notification sound will set off auto switch, USBC dongle isn't compatible with any cases, no ANC/transparency, and a short battery life at around 3 hours. Overall, I would like the Jlabs the most if they would stay in my ear and not annoy me every minute with a new notification that they are connected to my phone. I would like the Steelseries more if their mic was a better quality. I would like the Sonys more if they had wireless charging and a smaller case with a bigger built in battery. I feel like after weighing the Pros and cons, the Sonys might be my new favorite. They have really come down in price for a used pair probably because of their limited Bluetooth connection to most smart phones. Can't beat $50 right now for a used pair though.
r/Earbuds • Sony Inzone quick review, issues no one talks about, and comparing to other gaming buds. ->How does it do with transparency? I use that a lot when I am at work and every bud I have tried has either been subpar or has had hissing and I always end up going back to my airpod pros. I would like something else since I find the airpod's to be uncomfortable
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->Well these just arrived today and after playing with them for a bit I’m happy to report there is not any hissing! Transparency sounds outstanding, but it could be just initially impressions. I will test them out tomorrow when I go to work and get a better impression. So far very impressed with everything, especially the sound and transparency! Got these in sale for Black Friday for $100 and I would say it’s well worth it!
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->Update: I used them at work today and they definitely have a hiss behind them. It is not as bad as some other earbuds I have used like the Oneplus buds pro 3 and the nothing ear 2. I will still use my airpod pro 2 at work for transparency but I will keep these around since the sound quality is unbelievable and to my ears they blow the airpods out of the water.
r/headphones • JLAB Epic Lab Edition Review ->As someone who has like, 17 ear piercings, I find the in-ear wireless buds like the JLab Epic Lab work well and don’t cause any irritation like AirPods do. Otherwise, any over-ear headphones work. I have various helix, conch, daith, rook, tragus, antitragus piercings.
r/GirlGamers • looking for headset recommendations for someone with ear piercings ->JLab epic lab edition is my #1 soundpeats capsule 3 pro+ is my #2 realme buds air 5 pro would be my #3 (or air 6 pro depending on the pricing but both are very good)
r/Earbuds • Best sound quality earbuds? ->All around for me JLab epic lab. I just can't help but going back to them everytime bro I'm addicted to the sound
r/Earbuds • What are the current best wireless earbuds? ->I will not get the az100 because I'm already in possession of too many earbuds 😅 and I already love my JLab epic lab and my soundpeats opera 5 and capsule 3 pro + in terms of sound quality (and that's almost all that matters to me)
r/Earbuds • Technics AZ100 first impressions- They now have the best wireless earbuds, hands down. ->JLab Epic Lab Edition. Everything is great about them. They even come with a usbc dongle that allows you to connect super fast and with low latency 👌
r/Earbuds • The Best Bluetooth Earphone Now? ->I recommend to you the Denon perl pro. Once personnalised sound is done, the bass kicks like crazy, and they get very loud. They get close to the feeling of having full headphones, and they are pretty addictive imo. For more refined sound, better battery/transparency, and on par anc there is the JLab Epic Lab Edition. Top notch. If you want the best of the best regarding sound quality, then go Noble fokus rex 5. But they are very expensive 🫰
r/Earbuds • Earbud recommendation? ->I was going to comment the same. I use my Epic Lab Edition buds with the dongle everyday for work (video editing) and gaming and they are really great. As you said anc isn't the best but once you have sound playing, honestly I can't hear anything, so it's good for me.
r/Earbuds • Recomendations for wireless earbuds for gaming, music, travel ->Check these out. also JLab Epic Lab Edition True Wireless Earbuds, Hybrid Dual Drivers, Spatial Audio, Multipoint BT
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds to buy 2025 ->Don’t sleep on Jlab Epic Lab Edition ($95) for gaming. They come with a USB C dongle for BLE, which uses LC3 which has latency as low as buds with a 2.4ghz dongle. Excellent sound, good ANC, and BLE battery life is better than if using a regular BT connection.
r/Earbuds • What are the Best Earbuds for Gaming Right Now? ->Gaming earbuds typically support 2.4ghz via USB dongle which is lower latency than Bluetooth. But latency also matters for just watching video so the audio is in sync. If you meant Arctis Gamebuds (there are no Arctis Nova buds far as I know, just Nova headsets), I have them and they are good. JLab Epic Lab Edition are worth looking at also. They include a USB dongle and have better sound than the Arctis Gamebuds. The USB dongle is nice not just for the lower latency, but for the instant connection that is much faster than BT pairing. So you don’t mess with having to pair them at all if using the dongle, and every time you use them, there isn’t that wait to connect like there is with BT. But also, both of the above support BT also if you want to connect to something with BT instead of using the 2.4ghz dongle.
r/Earbuds • "gaming earbuds" ->Never liked the xm5s because their sound quality wasn't the greatest and fit is not as comfy as other options. My go to is probably the Jlab Epic Lab edition or Cambridge Melomania m100. (Jabra elite 10 gen 2 are also very solid)
r/Earbuds • What are the best options for ear buds in 2024 ? ->Top of the option imo for me are the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100, the Jlab Epic Lab Edition, or the Jabra elite 10 gen 2. Ranking based on features, build quality, sound quality, and ANC 1. Jlab Epic Lab Edition (best overall for ALL features, pure sound quality, and superb build quality) 2. Jabra Elite 10 gen 2 (almost top notch ANC for this price range, great sound quality and comfort) 3. Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 (best battery life, long lasting, HIFI sound from audio engineers,)
r/Earbuds • What are the best options for ear buds in 2024 ? ->Jalb Epic Lab were 99 at once, and the Cambridge are at 119. Both far better
r/Earbuds • Best price to performance earbuds, for around £100? ->Budget under 100, Roseselsa Earfree I5, Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro Plus HM: Moondrop Moca, Budget for 100-200 Denon perl pros, Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 HM: OnePlus buds pro 3, Nothing Ear, Technics az80, Jlab Epic lab Budget for 200-300, B&W Pi8(when on sale) HM: JBL Tour Pro 3, Technics Az100, Sennheiser MTW4 300+ Noble Fokus Rex 5, Devialet Gemini II This would be my suggestions for audio quality, I base these off their performance in soundstage, imaging, seperation, and things similar to that. As for tuning it really comes down to personal preference, most of them will suite anyone's personal needs with their custom EQs. I've tried countless amount of earbuds in all price ranges (20 to 300+ dollars worth) but these come out to be my top performers. I might have missed some since I have so many but I'll probably come back if I missed some. (I'll get into more details if you really want, like durability/longevity, battery, ANC, transparency, etc)
r/Earbuds • Any1 know the best quality earbuds for music listening?? ->I also recommend the Jlab epic lab edition if they are available for under 150 (because anything above that isn't worth it with these because of the subpar transparency mode)
r/Earbuds • Earbud recommendation? ->The Jlab Epic lab are solid options for your needs. Solid sound quality, great instrumental seperation, decent imaging and punchy bass. They also have a dongle for low latency which works quite well. ANC is mediocre but they come with several different sizes of silicone eartips and foam eartips as well
r/Earbuds • Recomendations for wireless earbuds for gaming, music, travel ->Take a look at the Jlab Epic Lab edition, they have a le dongle that is low latency. I have them and they are excellent
r/Earbuds • "gaming earbuds" ->I have a pair of Jabra Elite 4 from 3 years ago that is hands down the best ANC I've tried so far. But they are getting old, Jabra exited the earbud market so support is scarce (they don't seem to be recognized by their app anymore.) so I'm looking for replacements. I tried the Sony WF-XM5s and Sony WF-C710N and despite both being well reviewd I personally found the audio profile in both to not be to my liking and the ANC to be weak enough to not even really be useful. Honestly it's kind of insane to me how well reviewed the XM5s because for the money they weren't worth it IMO. I've liked JLab stuff in the past so I tried JLab JBuds Pods ANC & JLab Epic Lab Edition and while I found the audio in both to be to my taste the ANC in the JBuds wasn't very good and the Epic Lab was better but still not as good as the 3 year old Jabra. I tried the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 based on Soundguys review and while the audio was good and the ANC was ok they arrived defective and started All 5 pairs I've tried also had a case that was awkward to get the earbuds out of them. I use an Android phone so I have no desire for Apple Airpods. What other options are there out there with good ANC?
r/Earbuds • Best ANC earbuds? I've been disappointed by the big names so far. ->Underrated earbuds, great transparency, solid noise canceling, really good sound with the Knowles Signature preset. The USB dongle comes in handy as well. You can regularly find these under 100 and compare favorably with the Sony and Bose.
r/Earbuds • The Very Best Earbuds to Buy? Recommendations and Comparisons ->the only Jlabs that are good are the 2 new ones that have dual drivers. the rest are...meh. just ok
r/Earbuds • Best true wireless earbuds atm ->I'm surprised the Jlab Epic Labs aren't on this list... Just got em and those dual drivers make these things crazy. Not to mention the build quality being better than literally anything on this list. They probably are comparable to the denon perl in terms of sound from what I've listened to on them so far, though they do need a bit of EQing to get there. Also slightly less detailed of course, very Bassy in typical Jlab fashion
r/Earbuds • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended wireless earbuds in the past year ->I really like them. I find my JLAB Lab Edition to have better sound quality, and the ANC is just okay, but overall they are a solid pair of earbuds and have become my daily driver.
r/Earbuds • OnePlus Buds 4 honest review ->As per sound quality alone, az80 or jlab epic lab edition(this has low latency dongle as a plus not found in others)
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds to 350$ ->I agree, the JLab is just plain good. All 3 tunings are fantastic as well, plus the low latency dongle makes gaming a possibility. I have way more expensive buds and still consider them great. Also gotta love the volume limiter option for 80 or 90 db. Also imo JLab makes the best foam tips that don’t mess with the treble.
r/Earbuds • Which Earbuds to Buy in 2025 If Money Is No Object ->Are they too bright? I haven’t heard any budget JLab stuff, but the epic lab edition is pretty damn solid when it goes on sale.
r/Earbuds • Best Wireless Earbuds For Every Budget (From $30 to $300)? ->Ah so dollar store buds from 2005 lol
r/Earbuds • Best Wireless Earbuds For Every Budget (From $30 to $300)? ->Anker sport x20 are perfect if you like hooks. I also love the sound and deep bass of the Jlab epic lab edition
r/Earbuds • Earbuds for running and workout ->Would also consider the Jlab Epic Lab Edition. They are highly underrated. I own the Denon Perl Pro and Technics az80 and honestly can't say they fall short compared to both (After EQ). They are more comfortable and have better ANC than both. Sound quality is maybe just a bit behind.
r/Earbuds • Suggest me the best earbuds from the list from your experience ->The build quality is top rate and much better than everything else I have, but I wish Jlab would add more options in their app. For the price, it's pretty bare, plus I don't know why they didn't provide reviewers with samples. I think they would've gotten very good reviews.
r/Earbuds • The Best Earbuds at the Moment? ->I do have the epic lab addition and they’re freaking amazing
r/Earbuds • Best true wireless earbuds atm ->I feel your pain. Low latency Bluetooth is a total mess at the moment what with LE audio (LC3) being locked behind Intel EVO PCs in the PC space or having to buy a dongle such as the Creative BT-W6. Some devices that support LE audio that I have tested and know work: Creative Aurvana Ace 2 Earfun Air 4 Pro Jlab Epic Lab Edition - also has a dongle that uses Opus that's even lower latency Sony Linkbuds-S Sony WF1000XM5 Aptx-LL is on hardly any buds at all. Aptx-Adaptive-LL is on several. Look for buds with Snapdragon sound. However, many devices don't backwards support Aptx-LL correctly from Aptx-Adaptive. I've tested Aptx-Adaptive-LL with Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra and it worked reasonably well.
r/Earbuds • Looking for Bluetooth LL earbuds, ~€50 ->I've bought and returned several. Here are my thoughts on them. Sony InZone Buds - Good sound, good ANC, only support LE audio when not using the dongle so no use with my phone. Steelseries Gamebuds - Good sound, poor ANC, only supports SBC when not using the dongle so poor sound quality with my phone. Soundcore P10 - OK sound, no ANC. Jlab Epic Edition - Excellent sound, OK ANC, supports lots of codecs so good with phone too.
r/Earbuds • Best earbuds have USB C dongle for gaming ? ->I ended up getting the Jlab epic labs and i really love them but i still wanna try these JBLs. Hows the noise cancelling on these?
r/Earbuds • Happy I opted for the JBL Tour Pro 3 ->I have tested the Jlabs. But I would put them on a budget list.
r/Earbuds • The Very Best Earbuds to Buy? Recommendations and Comparisons ->I recently got some JBL Epic Lab buds, and they're wonderful! they connect via usb-c dongle.
r/ROGAlly • Low Latency Wireless Earbud recommendations ->This is marketing and brand reach doing what it does best. There are plenty of brands doing great things in the market that aren't getting a lot of attention. JLAB's Epic Lab earbuds were fantastic; JBL, Moondrop, Nothing Ear, SoundPeats, numerous other brands tested very well against the top of my list, which consisted of the Denon Perl Pro, Technics AZ80, Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 4, Sony XM5, AirPods Pro, B&W Pi7 S2 and Pi8. I have the AZ100s on the way, and I'm sure they'll occupy one of those top spots. It's important to note, however, that many of these brands do not need to push as many units to remain successful. At the economies of scale companies like Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose are operating at, the investment into their production, distribution, customer service, and operations pipelines is immense. They are likely expecting to sell tens of thousands of units, to the thousands that other brands need to turn a profit. And while you may see those more prolific brands everywhere, don't forget the communities of people on social media platforms that regularly market and recommend the opposing brands. They're not as common, but that's to be expected and will remain that way by nature. In other words, while the popular brands may be ubiquitous, that is by design. It doesn't mean opposing manufacturers are on a downward trajectory. This was the assumption when Jabra cancelled its TWS ANC lineup, and that may have been part of the decision, but Jabra had other, more profitable interests and chose to constrain their business goals around those interests because there was more opportunity there. As someone that's tested dozens of ANC earbuds (and has a wide ranging collection of dedicated, wired IEMs), I have very few biases when it comes to competing brands. If it works well, I'll use the thing. I have no qualms recommending a pair of Soundcore VR P10s, right alongside top-tier TWS sets if I think it fits the individual's use case. Recently, I took a long flight overseas and left all the other major TWS brands behind and took a cheap pair of PortaPros and a $20 pair of Aliexpress stem-style earbuds with me. Everyone else on the plane was wearing AirPods.
r/Earbuds • Exposing the Truth About Wireless Earbuds: Hype, Price, and Real Value ->Jlab Epic Lab are an easy pick. Very good sound quality and battery life. Often on sale as well.
r/Earbuds • Which Earbuds to Buy in 2025 If Money Is No Object ->Sound: Sennheiser's Momentum lineup, Denon Perl Pros, Technics AZ80/AZ100, and B&W Pi8, in that order (taking into account Sound Personalization and AAT are being used). Everything else on the market, from the typical brands, falls below that line -- APP2, XM5, Bose QC Ultra, etc. Longevity, having tested dozens of these sets, the AirPods Pros are likely to outlast most of the other brands (my first and second gens are still charging well without any discernible issues). I've had battery and charging issues with the XM4s and XM5s, Sennheiser's MTW3 (MTW4 hasn't been on the market long enough to know whether there are any battery longevity issues); Denon is already showing serious battery degradation issues; Technics are in the charging issue camp as well (one or both earbuds often do not charge and need to be reseated often, similar to the Sony's); Pi8 has intermittent connectivity issues. The list goes on. There are outliers like the JLAB Epic Lab Edition, which have excellent battery life and seem to hold up well over time. Surprisingly, these are some of the best sounding and longest lasting buds on the market, for sometimes half the price of competitors. It can't compete with the top brands on tuning, but it gets damn close for the price. At some point, chasing sound quality (and longevity) begs the question, should you just sacrifice wireless connectivity and choose a traditional IEM? Despite owning most of the current premium earbud lineup, I find myself recommending and often daily driving the Epic Labs -- just due to the convenience of the battery life alone. And if that battery starts to degrade, there's enough overhead where I could still potentially get a good amount of time out of them before the issues are untenable.
r/Earbuds • Which wireless earbuds will last the longest out of all on the market and have the best audio quality to that ->This is a repost, but is still relevant. Sony and Bose are still the leads if ANC is your main priority. However, they are much further down the list if you're prioritizing sound quality/tuning. My current rotation consists of the Denon Perl Pros, Technics AZ100s/AZ80s, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4, Bowers & Wilkins Pi8, and a few other budget options (JLab Epic Lab, Beats Fit Pros, etc.). The Devialet Gemini II and Noble Audio Rex5 are both pricier sets, but the Gemini II -- while it's an excellent sounding earbud -- had several issues that held it back for me. The deal breaker in my case was latency, which was quite high even for a TWS. The Rex5 is the best earbud Noble has put out thus far, but they need to make improvements to their app and overall user experience. My current rotation looks something like the AZ100s, MTW4 and Denon Perl Pro, as each provides a good overall balance of battery life, sound quality, and features. The AZ100s have excellent ANC, that gets close to competing with Sony and Bose, but is a slight downgrade in some areas of the frequency response compared to the AZ80s. The battery life is excellent, however, which makes them a contender as my main travel earbud. The Denon Perl Pros with AAT can be one of the best sounding buds on the market, but AAT can be hit or miss for some and is very tip dependent -- and I do suggest you change the tips, to something like the Dunu S&S. The Perl Pros also offer an EQ over the top of the AAT correction, which is a nice touch. I still reach for the MTW4 a lot of the time as well; with Sound Personalization it is still one of the best sounding earbuds on the market, with very solid ANC and transparency. The new Smart Control Plus app finally allows you to disable ANC, which was the only real weak point of this set. I was not as sold on the Pi8, although I found the "case as transmitter" feature much more useful than I assumed it would be. I preferred the bass response of the Pi7 S2. In general the Pi8 feels a bit safer, and a bit more boring, for lack of a better word. It is still an excellent sounding earbud if you prefer a more balanced, more neutral tuning that prioritizes clarity and detail. I tend to lean towards warmth and energy, and so it didn't quite make the top of my list. If you’re a neutral plus bass boost lover, it doesn’t get much better than the Pi8 in this price range. TL;DR: For now, this market is still juggling a "winner" and you'll be hard pressed to decide what is the “best” for the price -- no matter if it comes at a premium. Of all the major brands, I lean heavily toward the MTW4, Denon Perl Pro, AZ100 (unless you enjoy metal/rock, then replace this with the AZ80), and the Pi8, in that specific order. If you want a more budget conscious set, you can often find the JLab Epic Lab for half the price of the aforementioned brands, and it’s a set that’s not recommended enough. Excellent sound quality and decent ANC for the price.
r/Earbuds • The Best Earbuds at the Moment? ->Denon Perl Pro with the large wings and Dunu S&S replacement tips, or the MTW4. Both are the two sets I will grab most for runs/gym. Never had an issue with either. Pi8 is probably the worst for me for fit security, followed by the Technics and XM5s. JLab isn’t bad despite being a traditional barrel shaped bud, but doesn’t get loud enough or have strong enough ANC for gym work.
r/Earbuds • The Best Earbuds at the Moment? ->The JLAB Epic Lab should reside in the $150-200 price category. I've tested dozens of premium sets, like the Perl Pro, AZ80/AZ100, Pi8, XM5, QC Ultra, MTW4, and many others. The JLABs compete with many of those sets in battery life, sound quality, with a decent app/user experience. ANC is not as capable on the Epic Lab, but it is serviceable considering the price.
r/Earbuds • Ranking the best earbuds at every budget ($50-$200) ->I can confirm the connectivity issues with the Pi8. The sets I have in rotation right now, ranked by *both* sound quality and feature set: Sennheiser Momentum TW 4 > Denon Perl Pro > Technics AZ80 > Technics AZ100 > B&W Pi8 > Sony XM5s > JLAB Epic Lab > Airpods Pro 2 The TWS community tends to lock onto the newest release -- it's common enough that there's a name for it: recency bias. This is exacerbated by the paid promotions, and many reviewers suffering from the same biases as the rest of the community. The AZ100s have their pros, with very good battery life and better ANC than the AZ80, and 3-device multipoint. However, from a pure sound quality perspective, the AZ100s can be a step down, depending on the genres you're listening to. For me, as a rock and metal fan, the AZ100s are average at best. The Perl Pro's AAT can be hit or miss for some, which is why they're harder to recommend. People either love or hate the resulting tuning -- however, many miss that AAT is not EQ, but correction. It is encouraged to EQ on top of AAT to further customize the tuning to your liking. With this, the Perl Pros can be one of the best sounding sets on the market. If you prioritize sound quality over everything else, look at sets like the Devialet Gemini II or Noble Rex5. If sound quality is the most important piece of the puzzle for you, then forego those and buy dedicated IEMs and a pair of quality ear hooks or a BT-capable DAC/Amp, from FiiO or Qudelix. The MTW4 are still my current top ranked set if you compare both sound quality with features, with very good ANC and transparency, and a good overall user experience. Sound Personalization is the key to this set performing as well as the Perl Pros and AZ80s, however -- it is a parametric algorithm, and it's not possible to match the tuning using the multi-band EQ alone. I've mentioned this on other threads, but there is no objective "best" earbud. There's too many factors at play and recommendations are always subjective. It's not just based on personal preference, but which features you prioritize. For instance, although I hate the sound quality, if I need competent ANC, I take the XM5s with me, despite the fact that I find their sound quality lacking. I cannot provide a comparison with the JBL TP3 as stem-style earbuds do not work for me -- the APP2 is the only exception, due to platform integration. One final note, is to change tips. Tip rolling is just as important on TWS as it is on dedicated IEMs. I run the Dunu S&S with the AZ100s, Perl Pros, and XM5s; and the Spinfit Omnis with the Pi8s. It will improve the seal, and often provide improved sound quality. In the case of the AZ100s, it adds a slight improvement to treble energy -- although not enough to overcome its issues.
r/Earbuds • Best Earbud(s) other than AZ100? ->I posted this on the retroid sub and no one really seemed to notice, but I wanted to let yall know about this deal. I spent quite a while researching a pair of good wireless, low latency headphones for use with my RP5. I initially picked up a pair of Sony Inzones on sale for $100 refurb, which had good battery life, decent sound, but no regular Bluetooth codec so I was unable to sync them with my phone. The pair I had really been eyeballing, that seemed to get the best reviews were the JLab Epic Lab Edition, but they were $200. They’re currently on sale for $70. I ordered them Friday night, got them Saturday, and can confirm they are great. Sound quality is way way better than the Sonys and they feel more premium (case is metal and dongle is much more compact). I’ll be returning the Sonys and keeping these. If you’ve been looking for some in this price range, I would highly recommend these https://a.co/d/8xwsRZb
r/SBCGaming • FYI: JLab Epic Lab edition earbuds on sale for $70, marked down from $200 (these are the best low latency gaming earbuds IMO) ->I just picked up the JLab Epic Lab edition and they sound fantastic and do everything very well. It also comes with a USBC dongle to connect to your computer so it should be great for work use too. They are $200 but on sale for $150. I want to pick up the Jbl Tour Pro 3 never tried them but the case being the dongle thing also seems to be a good fit for office work.
r/Earbuds • Which Earbuds to Buy in 2025 If Money Is No Object ->I've used it before. Definitely a step up from their epic air sport airbuds. And there's no hissing at all from what I can tell.
