LG - XBOOM Buds Plus

Holy heck I love all the events that LG has ongoing at the moment! LG TVs, Soundbars and now these xboom Buds too? Amazing! And as others said below, having real users try and share their views in a very real sense is waaaaay better for me than influencers, who I literally tune out. I have athritis in my hands/wrists, and I also have a cyst on my left-mouse-button finger which is very painful and prevents me using it very much, which makes it hard to use a mouse, or type! So hands-free technology is essential for me. I also have ADHD (inattentive) which makes it very hard for me to focus on an activity, so Active Noise Cancelling really helps me block out the sensory stimulation of everything around me and get into that focus. And as it goes, my current set of earbuds (an aging set of Melomanias) is getting very glitchy and not holding charge, so this could be the best time for some great LG technology to take over! It's tough to know for me whether the xboom Buds Lite with their longer battery life would be better for me personally overall than the xboom Buds Plus with the additional Plug & Wireless, Wireless Charging, UV Nano and Adaptive EQ.... I think overall the xboom Buds Plus' 6 beamforming, AI-reducing background noise microphone over the xboom Buds Lite would swing it for me, if given the choice. As I'm relying on hands-free technology, ensuring that I am heard clearly and consistently will save me time and reduce frustration. I'd really appreciate the opportunity to test either, but my first choice would be the Buds Plus.

I recently bought the xBoom Buds specifically for a recent flight to combine with the Avantree Auracast transmitter. They worked great! As we have hearing aid users in my household, the correct implementation/compatibility of Auracast is very important. When looking for a new set of earbuds, Auracast is one of the higher level features requirements along with excellent audio reproduction. Being able to use the case I already have simplifies my EDC. As an Android user, combining QuickPair and Find Hub support also are very important. In short, I'm in for the xBoom Buds Plus. Thanks LG!

I’d go with the LG xboom Buds Plus. The Adaptive EQ, noise canceling, and multipoint connection sound perfect for my daily mix of work calls, playlists, and gym time. The UVnano cleaning feature is honestly genius. I never realized how much my earbuds go through until now. And if those graphene drivers sound as good as they claim, I’d love to experience them in action!

Picked this up after switching from iphone to a Galaxy and didn't want to get locked into the Samsung ecosystem like I was Apple (biggest reason I switched was feeling jailed to their OS compatibility). I've been using the LG xboom buds for a few weeks now and figured I'd drop a quick review in case anyone else is curious. The sound quality is probably the biggest surprise. They use graphene drivers which sounds really clean and balanced, especially across different genres as I find myself jumping from indie to electronic to blues rock. Bass has some punch without drowning out vocals, and acoustic tracks in particular come through super crisp. Battery life has been solid too. At full volume, I've gotten around 8-9 hours on a charge with ANC off, and closer to 6 with ANC on. The case holds enough juice for multiple recharges so I've never had them die on me mid-day. The app is worth downloading. You can tweak EQ settings, set up touch controls, and switch between noise cancelling and the different ambient modes. The ANC itself is very strong ( blocks out a ton of train/bus noise) but what I really like is being able to toggle to an ambient mode quickly so I don't feel totally sealed off when walking around. They're also IPX4 water-resistant, which I've already tested unintentionally during a sweaty run. No issues. Overall I'd say they punch above their price point. If you want something with powerful ANC, customizable controls, and strong sound quality without jumping to the super premium tier, they're definitely worth a look.

I haven't done like a formal test or anything so I'm not exactly sure how good it sounds but I haven't received any complaints or constant requests to repeat myself. So I'd say they get the job done.

Not sure if you've tried it yet, but the xboom Buds support multipoint pairing too. I keep mine connected to my laptop and phone at the same time OP, which is super handy for zoom calls and notifications. Also love the Auracast feature.

Yes. I am in a lot of calls each day for work, so I use the different settings depending on what I am doing. ANC, ambient and conversation mode...I find the ambient is best for me so I can still hear what's going on around me a bit.

The xbooms have a ‘Test My Fit’ feature that walks you through a quick fit check to make sure the earbuds seal properly in your ears and have the right fit.

I was really surprised by how clear the call sound was on these. The mics pick up your voice really well, and the whisper mode is a nice touch.

nothing kills a good workout vibe faster than weak bass. respect the winter gym lock-in btw 💪. i grabbed the lg xboom buds a while back specifically for lifting and they thump HARD like actually satisfying bass, not that fake boosted ones

lg xboom buds have decent anc, better than the soundcore liberty 3 pros in my experience. they don't have stems so they should fit under ear defenders fine. around €100 i think, so well under your budget.

lg xboom buds are pretty solid for the price. Good sound quality and fit well in ear.

try the lg xboom buds. mas affordable compared to airpods and honestly the sound quality is pretty similar. im not an audiophile either pero hindi ko ma-feel ang difference. plus they have sales pretty often so worth checking out!

also a galaxy user, i've got the lg xboom buds. sound quality and anc are pretty solid for the price. not sure if they're doing black friday deals but if they discount them they'd probably be around that range.
