I received the Moondrop Robin earlier today, I’ve been listening to them for a couple of hours so I decided to review them. Design: The design and materials of the earbuds are actually beautiful, I thought they were gonna feel “cheap” but no, the material they used for the charging case is particularly beautiful. The unboxing experience is also incredible, the packaging is just gorgeous; there are only two complaints I have with the design: 1. The lid of the case actually feels flimsy, like you can break it if you tried with just a bit of force. 2. The included leather case has a weird design which makes it so you have to open it, and the open the plastic charging case to access the earbuds, having to open a case twice feels strange and like the charging case isn’t properly protected. The earbuds themselves are pretty huge and they stick out on the sides of my head quite a lot, they kinda remind me of the fit and size of the Sony WF-1000XM4, which fit me perfectly so I’m pretty happy, they totally feel secure and like they’re not gonna fall out of my ears. Sound: 1 The passive noise isolation is awesome, the included tips are actually of pretty high quality. Compared to other Moondrop TWS, these tips are actually usable and pretty cool, the ANC is also pretty good but it struggles to get rid of midrange frequencies (as expected in most earbuds) however the awesome passive noise isolation helps a lot 2 My prefered EQ on these earbuds so far is the “Extra Bass” setting, and let me tell you, they sound AWESOME: 2.1 instrument separation is incredible, it’s a lot better than my HD599 and my WF1000XM4, it’s actually the best instrument separation I’ve ever heard, it excels with instruments that live on the upper portions of the mids, so it’s incredibly easy to follow and find hidden details in string instruments like violins, electric guitars and female voices. I was shocked to find details I hadn’t ever noticed in songs I’ve listened to hundreds of times. 2.2 Clarity is pretty high too, for context I’ve been using my iPhone (256kps files using the AAC Bluetooth codec) to listen to these earbuds, and they’re incredibly clear and detailed, using LDAC they’re probably even better. 2.3 Soundstage is the best I’ve heard in earbuds, it’s a little above the Sony WF-1000XM4, female voices specially sound absolutely beautiful in terms of soundstage, like you’re actually listening to them in a big studio or an actual stage and not inside your head. 2.4 I’m used to the ridiculously bassy tuning of the Sennheiser HD599 and the Moondrop Space Travel so I immediately felt like these were a bit lacking in subbass, but if you’re used to more neutral or bright tunings I think you’re gonna find the standard EQ very satisfying in terms of bass, 2.5. Considering these have similar drivers to the Moondrop May, I was worried they were going to be sibilant but no, I’d even say the Space Travel have a lot more emphasis on the very high frequencies Overall I’m incredibly happy with the Moondrop Robin and in my opinion, they represent a sound upgrade over my more expensive Sony WF-1000XM4 and Sennheiser HD599 Note: Also keep in mind the charging case is so huge that it’s pretty obvious it was designed to be carried in a bag or a backpack instead of the pocket of your pants.
r/Earbuds • Mooondrop Robin (Review) ->I recently bought the moondrop robin, ill update it once it arrives this week 🔥🔥 i heard it foes a good job isolating even with its anc off
r/GalaxyS22 • What is the best earbuds for cancelling noise right now ->Indeed isolates very well, with anything playing and anc you pretty much dont hear external noises even at low volumes, transparent mode is great and theres 5 eqs on the app that are fairly different from one another, a BIG upgrade from my previous bluetooth earphone from the same brand (the space travel). Price is around 100 and it also is probably the most comfortable earphone ive had so far, my most recent ones being the space travel and the chu ii's
r/GalaxyS22 • What is the best earbuds for cancelling noise right now ->Same sound quality as Airpods Pro 2 is the Moondrop Robin at $100. ANC is worse but it has PNC aswell that helps block out a good amount of noise. If you want even better ANC and similar sound quality, the Bose QC Ultra II is $300.
r/Earbuds • Slowly leaving Apple ecosystem. Looking for new earbuds ->Moondrop robin is honestly pretty good, not as good as the blessing 2 or 3 but for a tws its good
r/iems • Are there any good wireless IEMs?????????????? ->Totally agree — Samsung’s buds really shine when you’re using them with a Samsung phone. And if you're after better sound quality and a more unique vibe, I’d give the **Moondrop Robin** a serious look. It has a dual-driver setup and LDAC support, which gives it an edge in clarity and detail, especially for vocals and high-end stuff. Just doesn’t have the same ecosystem perks.
r/Earbuds • Galaxy Buds 3 Pro or Moondrop Robin ->Not being sarcastic, want to see his reviews to get a point of reference. Ive owned moondrop space travel and currently have tanchjim mino and moondrop robin
r/Earbuds • What is the best sounding earbuds? You prefer! ->No, it's held back by bluetooth as usual. Otherwise, for a bluetooth pair, I find Moondrop often sounds really close for the sub-100 range. If someone stuffed these in my ears while I'm blind, I could tell. If you want a pair that'll last longer, I much prefer the Golden Ages or even Moca. And if you can, spring for the Robins if you like IEMs, they'll be better overall. Golden Ages uses the same bud design. Sound profile wise, I prefer the Golden Ages' more analytical and neutral sound, and I wish that was in the Robin. If I were to be able to choose only one for day to day, every day, I'd take the Robin. Frankly, just spring a bit higher and it'll last you a long time coming.
r/iems • My review of the Moondrop Space Travel 2 ->Get Moondrop Robins. The Space Travel 2 bud design is the exact same as Space Travel 1/Moca/Golden Ages so if you have issues with that, fuck it. I find the Robins much more comfortable, like classic IEMs.
r/iems • My review of the Moondrop Space Travel 2 ->Moondrop robin will probably be the best one out right now.
r/Earbuds • What are some good wireless earbuds to buy? (I know its repetitive, sorry y'all) ->Moondrop TWS earbuds are generally okay to good for the price. One main complaint i have is the poorly made app (it's even worse in the old app before they rebuilt it)
r/Bolehland • Can anyone drop a review on this ear buds ->Get yourself some Moondrop’s. They’re like $25 on amazon, and they’re great quality
r/Aliexpress • Best earbuds around 50-75USD? ->This is marketing and brand reach doing what it does best. There are plenty of brands doing great things in the market that aren't getting a lot of attention. JLAB's Epic Lab earbuds were fantastic; JBL, Moondrop, Nothing Ear, SoundPeats, numerous other brands tested very well against the top of my list, which consisted of the Denon Perl Pro, Technics AZ80, Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 4, Sony XM5, AirPods Pro, B&W Pi7 S2 and Pi8. I have the AZ100s on the way, and I'm sure they'll occupy one of those top spots. It's important to note, however, that many of these brands do not need to push as many units to remain successful. At the economies of scale companies like Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose are operating at, the investment into their production, distribution, customer service, and operations pipelines is immense. They are likely expecting to sell tens of thousands of units, to the thousands that other brands need to turn a profit. And while you may see those more prolific brands everywhere, don't forget the communities of people on social media platforms that regularly market and recommend the opposing brands. They're not as common, but that's to be expected and will remain that way by nature. In other words, while the popular brands may be ubiquitous, that is by design. It doesn't mean opposing manufacturers are on a downward trajectory. This was the assumption when Jabra cancelled its TWS ANC lineup, and that may have been part of the decision, but Jabra had other, more profitable interests and chose to constrain their business goals around those interests because there was more opportunity there. As someone that's tested dozens of ANC earbuds (and has a wide ranging collection of dedicated, wired IEMs), I have very few biases when it comes to competing brands. If it works well, I'll use the thing. I have no qualms recommending a pair of Soundcore VR P10s, right alongside top-tier TWS sets if I think it fits the individual's use case. Recently, I took a long flight overseas and left all the other major TWS brands behind and took a cheap pair of PortaPros and a $20 pair of Aliexpress stem-style earbuds with me. Everyone else on the plane was wearing AirPods.
r/Earbuds • Exposing the Truth About Wireless Earbuds: Hype, Price, and Real Value ->I use them for the gym and I have had no problems yet. Though as someone that listens on a low-mid volume, the ANC is ok, but not good enough. They also get looser over time in my ears so I have to push them in more a few times every session. That could just be my earcanals though.
r/Aliexpress • Any good cheap earbuds on aliexpress? ->I bought them to take to Thailand after my nothing eat 1s started to come unglued. That was a year ago last November. Still use them. Very good for the price
r/Earbuds • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended wireless earbuds in the past year ->Best cheap earbud by miles.
r/Earbuds • I analyzed Reddit for the 20 most recommended wireless earbuds in the past year ->I had the same problem with qcy and moondrop but not with soundcore my pair is going flawless for 3 years already
