I would suggest the nothing ear (3) for your criteria. The ANC is by no means top tier but it works well enough. I have the previous gen Ear 2024 myself and it works for me to commute on the always crowded underground metro and even if I’m not listening to music, they do tune out the train noise and the people around me. At most they sound muffled and far away, if that makes sense. The ear (3) has a much improved ANC system according to reviewers and it’s ANC algorithm is quite refined now but it’s not nearly as good as AirPods Pro 2. My ear 2024 has very good microphones though, even when I’m on a call in heavily crowded or windy areas, the person on the other end never had a problem with hearing my voice. The new Ear(3) has microphones in the case itself and a talk button. You just hold it near your mouth and toggle/hold (depending on your preference) and talk into it. Based on the reviews i saw, the case will boost your voice way too much in quiet areas so it’s best to use it only in noisy environments, where it really shines. Ear(3) also has an 8 band parametric EQ so you can really tune these things to sound exactly like you like it. They also have a hearing test where it basically figures out which frequencies you have trouble hearing and then boosts those and from personal experience, it makes a world of difference in the details I’m able to hear but I would recommend keeping the intensity at 20-40 percent otherwise it can over boost certain frequencies. Even when I had AirPods Pro 2 they couldn’t match my older 2023 ear(2) in sound quality because of the hearing test and my own tuning. If you don’t want to go through the trouble of tuning it, you can find presets on Reddit or YouTube and now there’s a section in the app where you can find QR codes of presets on the advance EQ done by audio engineers, audiophiles and regular user. Hope this helps :)

Overall, Galaxy buds are more reliable while the nothing ear is just better in specs and sound quality. Better anc than... actually most earbuds. Even there cheaper version, the CMF buds, though feel cheaper too, I have experience with and honestly I would say that they are better if it weren't for that cheep feel eventually going and messing with my phone when they're connected. Yes, it sounds like nothing wins here no matter what however for the sake of this being on the Galaxy buds sub, I have to promote the Galaxy buds here: the Galaxy buds connect better with Samsung phones and are probably a lot easier toget and RMA compared to the Nothings, at least here in North America. So just go ahead and get them. The B3 pros and Ear 3s are both roughly the same price and I would only recommend getting the cmf buds to Pro if you were to go with Nothing because they're cheaper. (Just be careful with the LDAC setting?)

It’s funny you compared these two because I bought both to do the same lol Mostly interested in the 1mm bigger driver for the Nothing Ear. For me: Technics AZ100 -Pros •Longer Battery •Better Latency for gaming •The soundstage is wider and more immersive to me. •The bass feels more buttery/smooth than Nothing ear •Dolby Atmos setting is great for tv shows and movies. It also makes the soundstage for music wider and deeper. Sounds cool. •Better ANC •Better ease of use for touch controls than Nothing Ear’s weird grip controls •The clarity of the highs are so crisp and clean -Cons •Cheap looking case that also feels cheap. I expected more for the $300 price •App is ok but not as good as Nothing Ear •Dolby Atmos for music is cool, but drowns out the mids and highs a bit. Seems to lower the volume •Dolby Atmos head tracking is pointless. Yeah it’s cool but I don’t ever see myself using it •The db volume is much lower than Nothing Ear Nothing Ear -Pros •Cool aesthetically pleasing case that doesn’t feel cheap •Really awesome app with very detailed EQ options •The bass boost option is so awesome for a bass head like me •The personalized sound EQ feature amplifies frequencies that my ears couldn’t pick up as well before •More affordable price •Db volume is much louder than Technics. I have sensitive ears so I have to lower the volume quite a bit •The mids and highs do seem to be a bit cleaner and louder when having the right EQ setting •I would say the 1mm bigger driver does win against the Technics since the volume and bass are louder -Cons •ANC is not that good compared to Technics •Weird grip controls on earbuds •Soundstage does sound less open and wide to me. This sounds more “together center forward” for me •The bass is great but not as smooth satisfying as the Technics •The square case is an odd design choice •Less battery •No 3 point connection like Technics •There’s an option in the settings to help with game latency but when I switch it on it doesn’t really help and it causes the sound to skip every now and then

Tied between Nothing Ear 3, Huawei Freebuds 4, Redmi Buds 5 Pro, and Soundcore NC 4 Pro. Is nothing ear 3 actually that good? This may not be accurate as mic differs from one person to another, and how the demos are actually testing it. - After reviewing many demo mic quality videos on YouTube demoing the sound recording of the microphones, I can safely say that... (Get ready for this one) None of them are actually that good in terms of beating an apple headset with wired plugin! Surprise surprise! The tech is still not there somehow despite having the existing technology with Bluetooth/ wireless specialized mics. And surprise to you, high budget high quality earbuds folks who always buy expensive items for the "best sound quality" (what metrics are you using to dictate based on whether the product has "the best sound quality". Often I hear it's because of X brand and X price that they sell it for). But! In terms of earbuds category, I do think that in a quite room, as per the demos are show casing, Nothing Ear 3 has the one of the best and one of the closest ones to a studio quality microphone (it's actually not close, and you can still hearing a kind of muffling noise 😂) that is without having the need of getting a wire plugged in into your device or phone. As it has its own builtin microphone, "super microphone " into the case itself. And surprisingly it's not that bad when compared to the others. Yes it's incredible, and probably going to be now my only next choice in terms of microphone earbuds output sound quality. --- For those who are wondering why I am doing this long search for the best professional quality microphone earbuds, "what am I, stupid? Just use a wired headset!". Well in case you have been living under a rock, you should know that it is such a hassle and a big discomfort in terms of freedom of movements and including the flexibility of being able to use it during workouts or highly intensive activities then running back into the zoom meeting is much less of a hazard than having your phone accidentally being unplugged falling off your pockets due to the swift tangling of the wire, and then getting everyone to hear whatever meeting, music, or whatever you're playing. Whether be it in an airplane, airport, or you are the kind of person that has to go quickly to the bathroom and go back to whatever you're doing without having to remove your headset and adding that little friction in your day to day activities - its just worlds better to just have an earbud on, and you are good to go. No worrying that it will stop working because you accidentally splashed water or droplets of a drink you were having right beside it, because they are also usually high IP rating. -- Again, the earbuds mentioned here may not be accurately representative of the best mic quality earbuds in the market, but it's still substantial to show what actually is considered the best microphone earbuds in the market (and maybe in the world!). I'd be more interested in seeing your perspectives and what YOUR thoughts and experiences are when you were able to use different earbuds in your life time.

It's cut throat competition here, as I am continuing to see consistency with the Huawei buds free pro 4, and their quality is not but still slightly more muffled than the nothing ears 3, where nothing ears using the super microphone have slightly better edge in that regard. As I am seeing more demos now, and typing this message, liberty 5 sounds even much more crisp and better than liberty 4 nc pro in a quiet room, and maybe even the nothing ear 3 surprisingly. Edit: I think now it's down to the ones mentioned above in the post and: - MoonDrop Pill In a quiet room (usually they all sound good only in a quiet room, like very good, almost to indistinguishable from original mic from phone). - SoundCore 4 pro, SoundCore 4 nc, Soundcore 5 (to my ears 5 has the best clarity as per the demos compared to the others) - Apple Airdrops (but I hate the mechanicy sound that it makes you sound like)

You may be interested in Liberty 5' if you are purely interested in audio, and want some good call quality too. The sound demos speak for itself, and you can checkout both Kenneth Tanaka or Picky Audio (where he rated liberty 5's very highly in terms of sound quality due to their highest max volume in the market, and honestly also due to Dolby audio and Dolby Atmos they use, which is very juicy). But if your primary focus is on microphone,as per the tests, it is tied up to the above, with most likely winners is Liberty 5 (to my ears it sounds better than liberty 4 pro) Liberty 4's, and Nothing Ear 3..,, Freebuds huawei 4 pro, and 1more PistonBuds' (unlisted in the reviews there, but I just check the sound demos and it sounds very good). Another competitor we have now is the Elevoc Clear also targeted for better microphone quality.

Yeah, it does seem to be a concern I hear you. As I also tried one of nothing's lower end products the CMF's (or was it the Nothing (a) 's ?) and to my surprise in terms of battery life, they felt like a huge downgrade from the JBL's. And they weren't exactly that cheap either. And yes, I did hear some demos on the JBL Tour pro's, and they DO seen one of the best pairs out of all the JBL's in that regard of microphone quality. They also tend to have high IP rating on almost all their products I tried, which is very pleasing, I now shower and take a dip with my Endurance Race 2, though it leaves more room to be desired, and mic could definitely benefit from latest modern technology available in the market now. Like I recently was listening to demo's from a bud called 1More PistonBuds and wow just wow, and they are considered budget friendly. Then you have the Liberty's 5 and 4 also. Which is all focusing on the microphone department here today. I'm still stuck with JBL's at the moment unfortunately only because of their high endurance to hot environment (I bring them to hot saunas with me on 30+30 minutes bouts of sessions) and I shower with them and dip in cold plunges and sweat with them you name it, all the fun activities I did with them, and they stick quite while. Eating, bopping head, running for 10km+, all!

For context, I'm posting this major Reddit post because I am sick and tired of chasing and running after the perfect earbuds, while many people in YouTube say this is the best earbuds for microphone, and then they bring up something like jabras or denlons or the Geminis 2 which sounds like !@#$ when compared to the ones listed above - and even some earbuds when I cross checked them on other video demos showcasing the earbuds microphone recording, the highly vouched for OneBuds plus 4 aren't actually that good when I cross checked them on other demos. The earfun pros 4 earbuds are also not quite as good, as they have that muffled noise compared to the above, yes maybe they'll be better than SC's but not the rest. I could literally buy that nothing ear 3 for around 100$ right now and get better mic quality and probably even better ANC and maybe even better sound quality. We're going to keep researching to find out what is the best earbuds microphone quality par value. Many expensive earbuds have good sound, but in terms of ALL around sound quality (input and output through microphone) they are actually BAD PAR VALUE. It's fine if your only concern is the input sound and that's all you are satisfied about, but I feel like at that point you could still get away with much better alternatives par value. For me, and many of us who are constantly on the move, we care about how people hear us and don't want to put them through tortuous hell hearing us speaking from a fuzzy tin can for a 60 minutes session or however long. So I hope you guys understand why I'm so passionate about finding better microphone alternatives out there in terms of earbuds (and yes I am also considering wireless microphones, but those have their own problems also and not all of them turn out to be that good).

U guys need to stop with the wired apple earphones. Yea they’re great but in extreme situation like the Philly or NYC subway u have NO chance to be heard. As there is 0 wired filtration. Plus no ANC so u get all that back noise mixed in with ur interlocutors voice. Whereas the other day, I was talking to my mom using the super mic on the ear 3 while sitting in a very busy Philadelphia Subway DURING FOOTBALL DAY!!! (If u kno u kno) And she thought I was sitting on my bed or something. Before with the AirPods pro 2 and the nothing ear 2024, tho’ the mics on the buds are pretty good and do a every good job in a busy environment but the trade off is that I’d have to speak loudly, which is not a option when u look like me and start speaking French, German and Kannada! I’d always have to stop my convo when the train approaches before getting on the subway or go idgaf and yell like a crazy person over. So yea the ear 3 was an instant buy for me! And I have 0 regrets. Picky ain’t lyin’ yo when he placed them no.1 on his call quality ranking.

I don't own any of those models, but I hang around here (probably too much). I think the Sennheiser, Technics and Sony are going to be the top of the list for pure sound quality. There are some reports of really good sound quality from the Jabra. The Bose are OK, but they're better known for their amazing ANC more than their accurate sound. I think the others are probably in the next tier down (though others will probably disagree). I own the Denon PerL Pros, which I think have pretty amazing sound quality, though I don't think they're super comfortable, because they're so big. I also don't like their app. I also own the Nothing Ear (2024)s, which have really good sound quality (though not quite as amazing as my Denon's), great controls & app, and okay ANC. Once you get into the >$150 space, it really starts to depend on personal preference, I think. Others might be able to give you their take. But you can also check out other unbiased reviews. I like SoundGuys, because they at least purport to have some objective testing. (They don't really like the Denon's, though, so what do they know!) If you're set on those, my thoughts: \> Denon PerL Pro Best sound quality sub-$200. Don't buy them for more than $150. I think the white versions are still that price. They might be really uncomfortable for you (they were for me) or might stay in your ears very well. If they fit, they'll be super secure for the gym, but if they don't they won't. ANC is very bad for the price. Also, they have the most quality control complaints around here (that might be an overstatement compared to real life, but it's something that gets floated on this sub a lot). \> Nothing Ear GREAT app; above average sound quality. Buds might become too sweaty to stay in effectively. LOVE the squeeze triggers for on-bud controls (many fewer misclicks, which I think is great especially for the gym). Maybe the Nothing Ear (a) for most of what you need at 30% less cost. \> Technics Best buds on the list, but I just don't think you need to p1ay that much if you're doing gym and casual listening. You're also paying for battery life (which you don't care about really), amazing call quality (which you don't care about really), spatial audio (which won't work with one bud), and the very cool magnetic fluid tech (which only gives high quality sound in careful listening situations). They do do well with bass, which is nice at the gym, and they've got a pretty good water resistance rating for gym-related activities, They're very very comfy for me, but each ear is different. \> Sony Another good choice, and at least they're cheaper now. But again you're paying for a lot of tech that you probably won't use that much. Pretty close to the Az-100s, and I think some people like their sound signature a little more, but it's a little more reference-quality, which isn't quite as good for the gym. [https://www.whathifi.com/advice/technics-eah-az100-vs-sony-wf-1000xm5-which-premium-wireless-earbuds-are-better](https://www.whathifi.com/advice/technics-eah-az100-vs-sony-wf-1000xm5-which-premium-wireless-earbuds-are-better) But really, if you're only going to be listening in one ear, and going to the gym, why invest in such high-end earbuds to begin with? Maybe try the EarFun Air Pro 4s, or the Liberty 4 NC (if you really care about ANC at the gym), or even something like the Baseus Bowie MC1? With one ear, you're not going to be able to hear the clarity and sounstage provided by the Denon, Technics, or Sony, and you'll be spending a lot on technology that you'll not likely be using much (mic quality, hires codecs, fancy apps, etc.)

r/Earbuds • I've narrowed down my choices to these four. Primary use is the gym and casual one-ear music sessions at work. Battery life not a dealbreaker necessarily. Recommendations? ->

In the <$200 range: \- OnePlus Buds 4 or Pro 3 (the pro 3's if you want squeeze controls, the slightly nicer case, and slightly better tuning). They're great all-arounders, with nice sound, great mic, good anc, and a good app. \- Nothing Ear (2024) or (3). The (2024)'s are often on $99 flash sales on amazon since the (3) came out. They're really good for sound quality. There have been posts recently about Nothing-branded buds having battery life problems, but I've not experienced that. \- Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro / 5. 4 Pro if you want the fancy features from the case; 5 if you want really good ANC and good sound from a reliable source. \- The EarFun Air Pro 4+'s will be released in a week. I don't like the EarFun Air Pro's sound, but the 4+ will have a dual-driver design, with an additional balanced armature driver that *should* add some clarity and separation (my biggest criticisms of the original 4's). They're less than $100, and a good value. \- Pick up a <$30 pair if you need something right now (I like the Tozo NC-9) and wait for the 11.11 sale on AliExpress or Black Friday/Prime Days. I expect that there will be lots of $200-300 buds being sold for $200 or under this season, including the Sony WF-1000XM5, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 TWS, and few others. Another Redditor posted a buying guide at various price points. I more-or-less agree with him, especially on the buds that are over $100. Super comfortable, easy to wear and pair with 2 devices at once. I use it to connect with my pc and my iPhone and it handles the audio switch really well. Got it for around 150 during the Amazon prime day sales. Im pretty sure there will be another sale. It’s so good that I purchased another one for my partner and she preferred it over her airpods.

These are 3 buds I have actually (outside of my Jaybirds that I use for heavy workouts, or long runs), and honestly the AZ100s after dialing them in offer the best overall soundstage and bass imho, and I’m a bass head too. Crazy $ though. I have some Senn HD600s that I love for playing along to music on the drums, and practicing, and thought I’d like the M4s a lot, and while I don’t dislike them, they don’t quite deliver compared the Technics. I do tend to use them more though because of fitment, as they just take to my ear canals a bit better than the Technics. NEs I really love for the $, especially if you use the bass boost. If that’s your budget, I’d honestly give them a shot, although as others have said, their ANC isn’t spectacular. But still, very affordable and good performing buds that pretty much give you what they promise for the price point. Honestly my biggest issue with this style bud is the control on the arm. More often than I’d like, it disrupts the fit slightly when I reach up to adjust anything with my sausage fingers. But that’s probably just me.

Which is more important to you? The sound quality or the ANC? The reality is the best TWS earbuds for one aren't the best fit the other. And there are often clear tradeoffs. For example, the B&O EX had superb audio quality. But the Nothing Ear get really close while being lighter, having a better app, and being superior in most other ways for considerably less money. Just be aware of the compromises you're going to make when selecting the best sounding TWS earbuds.

However here's where the problem lies Bose has great anc the best out there but the quality of music is shit just shit. If you are talking actually quality music then you don't want Bose. I'd say az100 are your best bet after that having great anc some day about the same as Sony or even better in other cases an you have great battery life. After that I'd say the xm5 would be best choice after. They have good sound not great but good sn they have all the other functions you'd want. Not as many as az100 but a lot. Then there mw4 they def sound leagues above Sony an slightly better than az100 but they won't help with your anc problem they lean more towards I prefer music quality over functionality but they still have all those functions they just don't shine in them like others in this category... Nothing is good budget one but not what your needs. Geminis are good but anc is not good for your needs that's towards I prefer some of the best quality I can listen to in music with heavy clean base Denon are great all around too but anc def not use there but everything else they work smoothly. After a year though some times it doesn't auto connect to my phone but rarely an they still sound great after hours of use.

Honestly I just came went from the Sony xm4's to the nothing ear and I feel like the sound is almost identical, for half the price. Now the ANC and transparency modes are a different story, but for my use case the nothing's do fine. For my money at $200 cad they were well worth it

That’s still a little lower than the ones I have liked. I am using the Nothing Ear (2024) that is about $125. The Nothing Ear A is $99. They both are buds with incredible sound. I have also had JLabs earbuds before. You can find those for around $25-$50. I liked them as well.

I am not exactly sure about the battery difference between the two. Online it says that the A will get about 2 extra hours in total (42 hours to 40 hours). In terms of sound the Nothing Ear 2024 gives you access to the expanded equalizer that is not included with the Ear A. It can be really interesting and fun playing around with all the different ways to tune your music. You can even download other people’s sound profiles using the app on the Ear 2024. The app also includes 4 preset equalizers that sound great as well.

Bought the Nothing ear (a)s a few weeks ago and they're quite good, had some complaints about mic quality being tinny but idk what you'd expect from earbuds anyway. Cost me £80 and I have no complaints personally, obvs mic quality has been mentioned by friends but I take meetings with them and they work well, so you can be the judge of that. Noise cancelling is quite good, blocking out significant noise but not all. Hear through is also okay, but I'm still taking them out of my ears to have direct conversations so they're not perfect. All in all for the price I'd say they're decent.

Not that bad. Haven't used them in a long while so I thought it'd be a good idea to see how they compared. The TRN BT30 isn't even that good. Fiio makes a better one (UTWS5) it it doesn't have the flexibility on the connectors as the TRN unless you add adapters to it which makes the construct longer and changes how the buds fit in the ears and the security of the band. That said, you'll never AB that stuff and the TWS buds are just fine. And if I was picking one of the three, not caring that much about ANC, I'd probably go the DPP's because the sound was more engaging than the Nothing Ear. But the Nothing Ear are lighter and more comfy to wear. They're the first stalk buds I actually like. Tough to go wrong with either really. Also got them for $65. So at that price point they're a stone cold bargain. I never pay close to retail. Spent too much time in retail to do that.

r/Earbuds • I bought the Technics AZ100, Sony WF-1000XM5, and Bose QuietComfort Ultra. Here’s my review of each ->

Haven't tried the 100's, but I do have the Nothing Ear, Xm5's and DPP's. I do like the Nothing Ear. They're close behind the DPP's in sound, but they fit a little easier. Using comply sure grip for the buds 2 pro with them. Just wish I could fit larger tips on them for a little deeper fit, but the case doesn't allow it. Never understood poor case designs. 3rd party tips are a big thing. A few more mm of space in the cases wouldn't kill them. That said, I don't find the Xm5's dull. Just a step behind the Nothing. The ANC is much better. Comfort is better than the DPP's. Since I got thr Nothing, the DPP's get less use just because the Nothing case is much easier to pocket. For $100, I won't be getting rid of them. It's a nice trio to have, and the Xm5's will always travel with me. Don't have upgrade-itis for anything better at this stage. Though I also have a Shanling M0 I can use at a BT receiver and amp for some of my wired buds. Tried it out the other day, and my fiio buds easily sounded better than all of the three above. Better soundstage, more detail.

As for tuning it really comes down to personal preference, most of them will suite anyone's personal needs with their custom EQs. I've tried countless amount of earbuds in all price ranges (20 to 300+ dollars worth) but these come out to be my top performers. Sony is a safe bet imo, but the az100 are fantastic as well. Nothing is a good budget option, but the Sony, Denon and az100 sound more like a home speaker system. The nothing has a nice peq though, so if you are good at eq you can make them sound however you want . Denon Perl pro is great, but you need to take the test multiple times to get a sound you truely like, so if you aren’t willing to put in the effort of getting the best fit and running the test a bunch, don’t. Out of the box they sound bad, but I think that’s on purpose to have a bigger “wow!” Effect when you run the miasmo tuning.

Sound quality means different things to different people. I own 2 Nothing Ears, Sony WF-1000XM5, Bose QC Ultras, Sennheiser M4, and Technics AZ100 and others (not worth comparing) in order to quantify what sound quality means to me. I don’t care about the smartphone options that most of these offer. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. My listening experience has demonstrated that the ones that lack in the sound have more settings, adjustments, and “features”. I bought the Ultras first and then bought the others, based on comments from subs like this, chasing a better experience. Disappointingly, I have not found a better experience. The Bose soundstage is incredible. Extremely balanced sound (lows, mids, highs). The bass thumps as necessary and the noise cancelling is supreme. Most of all, the fit and comfort level is unmatched. It has limited “features”, compared to the others, but who cares? It’s exactly what it needs to be. Get the QC ultras. They fixed the connection issues with the 2nd gen and that was my only complaint. Further - I will often grab these over my wired favorites (IE900 or SR7000) when I’m craving an experience.

This is marketing and brand reach doing what it does best. There are plenty of brands doing great things in the market that aren't getting a lot of attention. JLAB's Epic Lab earbuds were fantastic; JBL, Moondrop, Nothing Ear, SoundPeats, numerous other brands tested very well against the top of my list, which consisted of the Denon Perl Pro, Technics AZ80, Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 4, Sony XM5, AirPods Pro, B&W Pi7 S2 and Pi8. I have the AZ100s on the way, and I'm sure they'll occupy one of those top spots. It's important to note, however, that many of these brands do not need to push as many units to remain successful. At the economies of scale companies like Sony, Sennheiser, and Bose are operating at, the investment into their production, distribution, customer service, and operations pipelines is immense. They are likely expecting to sell tens of thousands of units, to the thousands that other brands need to turn a profit. And while you may see those more prolific brands everywhere, don't forget the communities of people on social media platforms that regularly market and recommend the opposing brands. They're not as common, but that's to be expected and will remain that way by nature. In other words, while the popular brands may be ubiquitous, that is by design. It doesn't mean opposing manufacturers are on a downward trajectory. This was the assumption when Jabra cancelled its TWS ANC lineup, and that may have been part of the decision, but Jabra had other, more profitable interests and chose to constrain their business goals around those interests because there was more opportunity there. As someone that's tested dozens of ANC earbuds (and has a wide ranging collection of dedicated, wired IEMs), I have very few biases when it comes to competing brands. If it works well, I'll use the thing. I have no qualms recommending a pair of Soundcore VR P10s, right alongside top-tier TWS sets if I think it fits the individual's use case. Recently, I took a long flight overseas and left all the other major TWS brands behind and took a cheap pair of PortaPros and a $20 pair of Aliexpress stem-style earbuds with me. Everyone else on the plane was wearing AirPods.

After personalizing the sound / EQing all, the Denon PerL Pro and Soundcore L4P were the only 2 I tried that came anywhere close to what I was looking for soundwise and I ultimately decided on the Soundcores. The Denons PerL Pros were uncomfortable, hard to get a good seal, and had an almost fatiguing sound I couldn’t EQ out - they were very digital sounding, if that makes sense, almost crunchy/buzzy. I’m still not sure if I’m completely satisfied with the Soundcores but they’re the best I’ve tried. I keep finding some little frequency range I’m still not completely happy with and tweak them a little every day lol - Also, not sure still about the ANC, but I can drown out any excess noise with the sound level these reach. I’m beginning to think earbuds are maybe just not for me. I have a pair of SkullCandy Crusher ANC 2 headphones that sound amazing though that are my benchmark for a balanced sound, which may be unfair to compare to earbuds with tiny drivers… and no I don’t just like them because they have ridiculous bass lol - I normally have that turned down pretty low because it can definitely be too much very easily and drown out everything else. When set right, these actually sound absolutely amazing overall, and for any kind of music.

Having both the nothing and the AirPod pro 2’s. The AirPods are way better imo. The connection is hit and miss and the noise canceling / pass through leaves a lot to be desired.

It actually does, so many sound engineers second to your opinion, just booked mine and waiting to get hands on it, I ditched OnePlus buds 3 for Nothing Ear A as I was obsessed with it's design, now finally going to experience a OnePlus audio product

Got the OP buds 4 yesterday and it fell short of my expectation since i was expecting a significant upgrade over my Nothing Ear A in terms of sound, idk its just me but i found my Nothing Ear a sounds better despite having more distortion , but this could be highly subjective ,ANC is like 5% better on OP buds 4 and the control is an huge improvement , it makes no sense in investing one while you having the other

this is what i exactly did, i ditched OP buds 3 for Nothing Ear A despite knowing that OP buds 3 sounds better , the reason is too obvious i am obsessed with the way they look , also a big fan of their app the UI is sick

For me its definitely Nothing Ear. I compared them to all my other Headphones (also Over ear) and with the right equalizer setting they are fucking amazing. To the extend where I rather grap my Nothing ear than my Sennheiser hd580 prec., which is my favourite Headphone.

Nice review but I couldn't disagree more with your conclusion. I have the Nothing Ear and did swit to the Technics. The difference in sound quality is night and day in my opinion. The Nothings are better for working out because they fit better in my ears. But if I'm doing some serious listening, the Technics are far and away the better choice.

My experience has been the exact opposite. Clarity and separation with the Technics are just slightly less than my high end headphones. And for the bass heads, you can mess around with the EQ settings. I don't listen to metal or EDM. The Nothings not only lack bass, they lack clarity as well. I think the Nothings are fine, budget friendly earbuds. I bought them because they're cheap, sound decent enough and I won't mind losing them.

Tops in the under $100.00 are OneBuds 3 Nothing Ear A Soundcore 4nc Earphone Air Pro 4 I'm very partial to the OneBuds 3. I've had two sets for around 6 months and they are all around performers with great sound and phone calls. All the buds listed above punch above their price. The nothing ear uses pinch control, the rest are tap which I prefer.

The Samsung Fe is only IPX2. Not very water resistant. If you are only operating inside in sterile atmosphere like Office And not using while exercising or outside, it might be fine. But for me it's a deal breaker. Wouldn't touch these earbuds. Nothing Ear a is a solid choice.

I love my Bose over-ear headphones but I thought the earbuds were awful. Theyre comfortable but the sound was not good at all. Probably not the popular opinion but I'd rather have my Nothings than the Bose by far.

I have the Perl Pro, nothing ear and sonys. And I would put that in that order as my preference.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 for most things, and Nothing Ear if I'm just gonna listen to music. OG Pixel Buds Pro as backup. PBP2 are the most comfortable buds I've ever used, and the battery lasts me from like 6 AM- 2PM on 1 charge with ANC on. The sound quality for music isn't mindblowing, but they sound nice imo. The Nothing Eat sound amazing though, and have phenomenal bass for buds.

My ears hate them, Nothing Ears Medium tips had been one of the better ones, but I've found my fit at last with The Sony Link Buds Fit. https://preview.redd.it/h1e5kuxgh3uf1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a564c76898d77a007ebb39c6241e77dcc20683a4 The wing stops the eartip from moving and I've never had any slippage or need to adjust them every few minutes while out.

Definitely agree that they're nowhere near as good as the hype. Same with the Sony XM5's, I thought they were boring and dull too. EQ is awful, theres a few pieces I've listened to which are pure vocals like a choir type thing that they absolutely nail, but everything else I actually prefer listening on my Nothing Ear's with their custom sound test EQ. They're just way more fun and enjoyable on most tracks. Wouldnt say they're 'shit' or anything, they're just average and people act like their out of this fucking world good when they just aren't. I plainly refuse to believe the average person listening to them would respond in that way, audiophiles and earbud fans may, who as you said, also are part of the hype circle and correlate price to quality.

My experience with the 100s is very similar to the XM5. They're just nowhere near as good as all the raving 5\* reviews suggest. Think of it this way. Most review sites etc rank the XM5's as tier 1, if not #1 best earbuds, despite what you might read on this Reddit. Virtually none rank the Nothing Ear's tier 1, or #1, it usually gets an honourable mention, runner up, or a shout out for a win in a specific category, but I've never seen a review site state that they believe they're the best buds. Yet me, you, my brother, father (obviously only 4 reference points here) all agree the Nothings sound better than the XM5's. The 100s are in a similar boat for me. I bought them new for £220, and the Nothing Ears on Amazon resale for £85. I would take the Nothing Ears 10/10 times at that price difference, and even if you offered me both and said they both cost £220 new, I'd still take the Nothing Ears. Their custom EQ based on your hearing is just too good and they're way more versatile in my view. Obviously this is just my opinion, but I think if you put 1000 random people in a room and gave them the XM5's, Nothing Ears, 100s, and gave them full access to use all the EQ tools available through those apps, including the custom ear EQ hearing test on the Nothings, I think the majority would pick the NE. Yet the price would absolutely lead you to believe it would be dead last without question.

I love the Nothing Ear buds too, but yeah, they’re not ideal for workouts. If SpinFits didn’t fully fix it, you could try Comply foam tips (super grippy) or XELASTEC tips (they soften with heat and grip better). Both can help a lot, especially when you’re sweaty. That said, if they still slip out, it might be worth switching to something made for movement. I’d recommend the Beats Fit Pro — great sound, strong ANC, and they stay put thanks to the flexible wing design. Or if you want total comfort and don’t need crazy sound quality, bone conduction headphones like the Shokz OpenRun are awesome for workouts — nothing in your ears, and they don’t move around at all. Might be worth keeping the Nothing Ear for casual listening and using something like Beats Fit Pro or Shokz just for the gym.

Do you use both earbuds when using nothing ear for calls? What settings do you use for noise canceling on the app? I just bought a pair of nothing ear buds and my first call was very noisy. The other person said they could hear every noise that I made.  I had the headphones set on transparent noise canceling setting and only used one earbud. I alternate them so that I can keep one fully charged. In my experience the nothing your buds have about a 4-hour battery life when used constantly.

I've been quite happy with my Nothing Ear headset for the last year, relatively cheap around the £100 mark, they look nice, and they preform excellent. I've been using them for 8-12h daily and they're still going strong, dropped them a few times, and the case so they're a little scratched up

I know this sounds basic but AirPods seem to be one of the best earbuds for reliability in this exact situation. Many earbuds I’ve had have ran into the one ear stops working problem, but I’ve had 4 different models of AirPods and this never occurred. If you’re not an iPhone user then any of nothing’s earbuds will do good, I’ve seen that they don’t run into issues often. Beats fit pro also was very reliable for me, so I can vouch for those too. IMO stay away from Sony, Bose, and sennheiser when it comes to earbuds. I’m not sure why but they cannot seem to get their reliability under control
