Second the OnePlus BP3 and you get better ANC and Transparency with them. Here's Picky Audio's rating of the two. Personally I think the BP3 is an 8.5 in SQ. I haven't heard or used the Nothing Ears. but i've used the CMF Plus 3 and it's pretty good, but not as good as the BP3 Here's Picky Audio's scoring, I personally disagree that the 4's sound as good as the 3's and the ANC on the 3's is better than the 4's for me. it's strong but tuned differently. This guy has an extensive spreadsheet of buds he's tested. Personally the Airpods Pro 2, Bose QC Ultra and the One Plus buds 4 all have excellent ANC, the sony's are good, but they are overpriced, the controls suck and I mean suck and the soud quality isn't all that. When i'm in the car with my kids, the Bose do the best job keeping noise out. APPs are great for concerts, live events like games. I just got the one plus' so I haven't tested them extensively but they are better than the one plus 3 pros which I have tested and they are also quite good.
ANC will always effect the sound profile, but a lot of manufacturers simply do not prioritize it. The Air Pods Pro are a great example of ANC minimally effecting the sound stage as middle tier as they sound is. The 1+ pro 3 and buds 4 also do an excellent job with this and there are a few others. The Pro 3 def. has better separation, but this idea that a device reproduces true to the source is such an audiophile is really overplayed imo. Do I want my mix to sound like the engineers in the studio who eq'd it to sound good on a stock radio in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra? No, Studio mixes typically aren't mastered to sound good on every device and each human ear is distinct so custom eqing is crucial. It's great to listen to a track on a new device and think it's flat or "true to source" but again does a true flat mix really exist? the vast majority of consumers don't want this type of sound. Because Instruments put out a dynamic range of different frequencies the mixing process requires an engineer to eq the tracks to fit into the mix. If you want it to sound like a live mix or a concert mix from a soundboard, I can get on board with that. so let's stop with all this flat sound nonsense. EQ your devices how you like them. The real factor for me is how capable the drivers are and how tunable the device is. The Techniques are capable but overrated and wildly overpriced. IMO any bud over $150 is just stealing your money. What I remember about the az100 besides that they only did a few things well was they were pretty tunable. If you want a truly great all around bud, with exciting sound, The 1+ buds pro 3 and buds 4 are pretty outstanding.
I like how they just grouped all the airpods together as if they are one product, In my mind this totally skews this data. I rock my Apple APP3's daily and Just watched my first show on them. I was surprised how shitty they sounded compared to my Bose QC Ultra 2's, One Plus Pro 3's and Buds 4. and yes I disabled the Immersive audio crap. Just goes to show that the average person doesn't really know jack about good buds.
I suggest checking out Picky's Spreadsheets, linked in his comments section. You have to go through a checkout process, but it's pay what you want etc. Out of all the reviewers with the Exception of El Jeffe, The buds I own when compared to his findings are very similar. [https://youtu.be/-nWkcwUi394?si=Hnd1VMy4PAl77QnZ](https://youtu.be/-nWkcwUi394?si=Hnd1VMy4PAl77QnZ) To Qualify, I'm a daily airpods pro 2/ One Plus Pro 3, Earfun Air Pro 4 guy. I own a lot of other buds I think i'm up to about 70 or 80 pair total. :-S including the Bose QC and the only time I use them is when i'm on road trips with my 8 year olds. I Own and have Owned, Sennheisers, Technics, Nural, Denon, B&W, HK, M&D etc and I just will no longer buy earbuds over $120 with the exception of a few. Granted, I own an Iphone, so LDAC and other loseless codecs are out of the picture for me. The One Plus 4's launch tomorrow and if they are even close to the 3's they are going to Cook as an all arounder. My immediate Rec. is the Earfun Air Pro 4, SoundPeats AirPro5 or the CFM 3 Plus. All solid offerings in the $70 range, for under $300, you can get all 3 ;-) I had the Technics AZ80 and 100 from wha I remember I really like the 100's sound but there were features about them that drove me nuts and I returned them. I'd suggest just pointing your wallet toward amazon and buying several pair and testing out what you like, Return what you don't, but there is very little reason in my mind to spend airpod money when the tech coming out of china is now almost identical. You could also check out this blast from the Past. The MW07 Plus, super cheap now. And they sound really nice. Couldn't help but notice you don't have the OnePlus Pro 3's or the OnePlus buds 4. You should try them, both are more well rounded then the Huawei's, not banned in the U.S. and cheaper ;-)
The pro 3 are great. I prefer them to the buds 4, but not by much.
For me the nothing and also the OnePlus bp3 we're always better sounding then the Technics az100 out of the box (tuning wise, imaging or other technical aspects were somewhat better in the Technics). I have to disagree with the Pi8 though, however it's all subjective
Budget under 100, Roseselsa Earfree I5, Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro Plus HM: Moondrop Moca, Budget for 100-200 Denon perl pros, Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 HM: OnePlus buds pro 3, Nothing Ear, Technics az80, Jlab Epic lab Budget for 200-300, B&W Pi8(when on sale) HM: JBL Tour Pro 3, Technics Az100, Sennheiser MTW4 300+ Noble Fokus Rex 5, Devialet Gemini II This would be my suggestions for audio quality, I base these off their performance in soundstage, imaging, seperation, and things similar to that. As for tuning it really comes down to personal preference, most of them will suite anyone's personal needs with their custom EQs. I've tried countless amount of earbuds in all price ranges (20 to 300+ dollars worth) but these come out to be my top performers. I might have missed some since I have so many but I'll probably come back if I missed some. (I'll get into more details if you really want, like durability/longevity, battery, ANC, transparency, etc)
Well I used the Earfree I5 for 5 months as a daily driver, now I'm back to the OnePlus buds pro 3 as my true daily driver(I usually don't test long term with cheaper buds but these peaked my interest because of their premium build quality and superb sound quality). The i5's still work extremely well, no issues whatsoever. I've also used previous Roseselsa tws models and they still work from the day they were released. If your looking for superb sound imaging and a decent immersive soundstage, these are the one. But if your looking for specifically ANC or transparency, get some other options like the oneplus buds 3 or Earfun air pro 4. Also I noticed you mentioned the SC liberty 4 pro as a more premium option and if your budget can extend that far I would highly recommend checking out the nothing ear or OnePlus buds pro 3 as well
OnePlus buds 3 pro. If you want sound, build, call quality, and great app support. And because they are stem style they stay in the ears really well for running because weight is distributed better
I would say if you have a Samsung device, just get the Galaxy buds. But any other device, I would recommend getting the OnePlus. The OnePlus also better sound quality (better imaging, soundstage, and seperation). But the Samsung has better transparency mode and better ANC when it comes to blocking out high frequencies. It's not really a noticeable difference.
Not a big fan of Sony especially for bass. It's just too prominent compared to the other frequencies out of the box (same goes with the OnePlus buds pro 3 but those are like between midrange and premium buds), however they do sound good with EQ. And I agree with the other earbuds mentioned
Its honestly not that big of a deal. I'm able to test and use earbuds $200+ but still settle on cheaper options like the OnePlus buds 4 or buds pro 3 because they still do a decent job overall and can get them sounding very close to premium earbuds with EQ tuning (technical performance is obviously worse but not gonna be as noticeable with daily use opposed to close listening). sessions)
I own more than 50 pairs ranging from 30 or so to 300+ but only use one pair and that pair being the OnePlus buds pro 3
It's not really what makes them stand out, it's just that I prefer them because of the stem style which usually fits better in my ear compared to bud styled earbuds like the Technics az100, Sennheiser mtw4, or the Sony wf-1000xm5, etc. I also just use the OnePlus buds pro 3 because of their swipe controls and the fact that I have already used their previous gen earbuds for quite a long time. I used to use the Jabra elite 10 gen 2 but they crapped out on me which was another factor because I never had any reliability issues with OnePlus earbuds (Btw it's probably not worth buying more earbuds unless your willing to return them for the ones that you like)
It's pretty similar tbh, the az100 does much better with the foam eartips when it comes to high frequencies. But it's similar when it comes to the lower frequencies
I would say the OnePlus buds pro 3 definitely pump out far more subwoofer like bass when using basswave. Everything else is pretty comparable when it comes to clarity and detailed mids and treble. However I do find the treble on the OnePlus to be a lot brighter sounding than the Sennheiser so if your treble sensitive, you should definitely turn it down in the custom EQ. Soundstaging, imaging, and seperation are similar as well.
I would go for the OnePlus buds pro 3 just because they are an excellent pair overall especially for sound quality and ANC performance.
I would suggest the OnePlus buds pro 3. More comfortable than the 4's for me and better ANC, transparency and wireless charging. You can get them online for under £100 https://ebay.us/m/SpoU0m
For me it's about comfort. I loved the sound and features of the AZ100 but they were too bulky. The JBL felt cheap and plastic and were deceptively large for me. The ANC and hear thru were just ok. Not tried the Freebuds 4 but the 3s were good. I have tried so many and settled on the OnePlus buds pro 3 which are comfortable, have great ANC, great sound and Transparency. I have the Noble Fokus rex coming this week so who knows...
https://www.amazon.com/OnePlus-Wireless-Bluetooth-Canceling-Immersive/dp/B0DJHXZ68N Enjoy
Lol, I have them, no they certainly are not.
OP buds pro 3 . they are on sale for $125 rn.
If you want comfort + good ANC + multipoint switching without a massive price tag: • Technics AZ80, excellent all-round sound, comfy fit, reliable multipoint, and good ANC for everyday use (not crazy strong, but solid). • OnePlus Buds Pro 2/3, great value: good ANC, comfy, multipoint works well, and they handle sweat too, cheaper mainly because of pricing strategy, not quality. If you can stretch a bit, the Technics AZ100 is just a nicer-tuned version overall. Before you buy, I usually check the sound tunings on [audiotones.co](http://audiotones.co) to see if it actually matches my vibe.
I have had sony xm5, one bud plus 3, sennheiser momentum 4, technics az80, beats studio buds, air pods, and soundcore liberty 3 pros and liberty 4 noise cancelling. i’ve borrowed a friend’s b&o with the soundcore
Initial listen, They were “fun”. Nice and lively, enhanced highs and bass. But after a while I became fatigued with them. An analogy could be like how tv manufacturers crank up the contrast settings for displaying the tvs in a showroom… but those settings are just overdone when you get the tv settled in to your home.
