So I've had the OnePlus Buds Z2, which I really liked (they just had kinda poor battery life -- even with ANC/transparency off). Ended up getting the 2nd gen OnePlus Buds Pro, cause I lost one of the earbuds from the Z2s & I really liked the arbor green color. I ended up really liking them and would even go as far as saying they *were* my favorite wireless earbuds for general use cases overall: 10-11 hr battery life per charge with ANC/transparency off, superb sound quality when paired to my OnePlus 8T & using LDHC, and multi-point + full feature support on iOS (just stuck with AAC only). As time has gone on, the only real thing I can complain about is the slow degradation of the batteries to where average battery life is now closer to about 8-9ish hrs (I've used them daily for like 2 years, so it makes sense). I do have to add that I originally decided to get the Buds Pro 2 *only* after I saw them on sale for around $100 (what can I say, I can be cheap lol). That being said, when I saw the new 4th Gen OnePlus Buds, I was kinda concerned it would be an overall downgrade due to them not being "Pro" models. That was absolutely *not* the case, and I'm even convinced that they wipe the floor with my (admittedly really good in their own right) Status Between 3ANCs. When tuned properly (or just however you prefer your sound) with the good ol' LDHC codec, they fire out bass like sonic cannons in your ears. And the mids/highs are equally as potent, making the soundstage overall feel damn near ethereal to me. You can truly notice the 2 separate drivers in each earbud, so much so that it's hard for me to grasp how they sound better (to me) than the 3 drivers in the Status earbuds I mentioned. And even better, the battery life is actually better than the Buds Pro 2s when they were new (w/o ANC or transparency I've clocked like 12-13 hrs, at least over the last few shifts I've had at work). They're also still exceptionally good using AAC on an iPhone (in this case a 16 PM), and as previously mentioned basically all of the settings/features aside from the Hi-Fi codec are available in the HeyMelody app for iOS. Anyway, I think OnePlus really hit the mark with these earbuds. $100 for something like...*this* feels unheard of. And I'm no stranger to audio/different models of TWS products either. One of my autistic fixations happens to be hoarding several different pairs of earbuds/headphones lol, sometimes just solely for one particular thing that a pair/headset happens to have & that'll be the only reason I ever end up using it. My 2nd gen AirPod Pros still have the crown for ANC/transparency (though the Galaxy Buds FE I also have come pretty close to the same transparency level), however just based on directly comparing the two on my 16 PM the OnePlus Buds 4 still have the better sound hands down. I will have to see about messing around with Apple Music to see how much of a difference there is with lossless audio on the AirPods vs the OnePlus ones paired with my 8T, so I can use them with LDHC to listen to lossless audio on Tidal. Because the entirety of my current experience has just been from listening to music on YT Music, and it unfortunately caps the bitrate to what's essentially AAC/256kbps under the best conditions iirc But yeah, TLDR the OnePlus Buds 4 are pretty damn great regardless of what phone you have, as long as it's not super old or too "low end". And what I mean by that is, they'll sound great as long as whatever android device you pair them with has the option to enable A2DP hardware offload (since they will only support AAC on non-OnePlus devices) & I'm sure most folks will agree that this setting improves AAC quality on android by quite a bit.
I got oneplus buds the original one and i loved them eventually got the oneplus buds z2 and they have been good but goddamn durable these fuckers just wont die. I am the type who wont buy new things until the last one completely breaks. This pair has been in the washer twice with the case and they were soaked in a pot of water with soap without the case once for like few hours. They worked normally until my dog chewed one bud up. I might get these now.
I'm not a earbuds fan. I'm personally using OnePlus Z2ANC. I love this very much. Good sound, good bass, better battery then earbuds. Recently released OnePlus Z3ANC. 10min charge 20 hours usable. I'm planning to buy this.
If you’re hunting for Bluetooth earphones, I’d focus on fit, sound, and battery. I’ve been using the Sony WF-C500 they’re comfy and sound balanced. OnePlus Buds Z2 are fun if you like a little extra bass, and the Galaxy Buds FE have smooth, clear audio for music and calls. Honestly, comfort matters as much as sound earbuds that hurt after an hour aren’t worth it. Battery life is another lifesaver if you’re producing or streaming on the go. Before you buy, I like checking the sound tunings on Audiotones to see if they match your vibe. Makes picking the right pair way easier.
I was going with one plus buds 4 tbh but then i saw the review that with iphone one plus buds dont work well nd many features doesnt infact i had a bad experience with one plus buds z2 3 yrs ago, they had lot touch nd connectivity issues with my iphone but still i wanted to give them a chance lekin then i went for realme air 8 , i saw call quality reviews of many youtubers of realme air 7pro even i went to store nd did experience them nd tbh they were amazing so went for air 8 in order to save some cash after going through youtubers test specifically call quality
Stay with your One plus, they are already a good choice. If you need new ones the Samsung pros were always a good choice especially paired with Samsung devices for sound and call quality. Beside Samsungs seamless bluetooth cocec which enables hires audio, the pro3s got a planar driver for highs beside a dual speaker/driver unit which is pretty new at that price point and should make a quit good sound possible but Samsung ruined everything swith their latest update.
depends on budget, one plus buds are quite decent per their price!
Anything with a rechargeable none replaceable battery inherently has a limited lifetime. Of the wireless earbud style I've found apple air pods pros to be the most reliable over time. However they're expensive and still a disposable product. I've tried to take the 60% cost for 80% product route on earbuds before but was never truly happy with any product I tried. OnePlus buds are decent and cheap but certainly not apple airpods and I struggled with the in-ear detection. Sony makes a strong competitor to the airpods but again pricey. Overall, unless you love the wireless earbud style, they feel like a luxury product with cut corners. Personally, I have difficulty getting earbuds to stay in my ears and ended up finding Shokz Openrun Pro Bone Conduction headphones. They sound quality is decent. Though like all bone conduction headphones, they lack bass. It's good enough for music unless you're an audiophile. I also find them incredibly comfortable and often forget I'm wearing them after 8 hours in office. I've had 3 pairs over about 10 years now and consider that about as long lasting and reliable as a disposable product can reasonably be. My current pair is about 4 years old now and still going strong.
