It’s loud snoring from the same bed, but I’m usually facing the opposite direction. It does muffle it, though. I listen to podcasts to go to sleep, but Ozlo does have built-in ambient noise. They would probably block out more noise, but I find them more distracting.
Ozlo sleepbuds, designed for sleep but can also be used to stream content of your choice or even social media. Super comfortable even for side sleepers, battery lasting through the whole night even after a year and a half of daily use. It saved my nights, my husband is a big guy with a deviated nose, he snores like a giant and when my Bose sleepbuds died for good, we had to sleep separately for months while I tried several other earbuds brands that fell short or hurt my ears after a couple hours. Bose scrapped all traces of their sleepbuds (because the technology kept falling apart) and the former team on the project decided to create Ozlo, I backed the crow funding. I enjoy that it even has an integrated alarm that will wake you up without giving you a heart attack or waking up others. The app is well made, fairly frequent update no ads, no frills, a lot of choice in white noise, sleep mode, not forced to use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi if you don't want that. The team seems to be passionate and they were always there to help me in the beginning when the budding app was a bit more capricious. Every day it works perfectly, night after night, I can sleep without being disturbed from outside noise.
For sleep, I use the Ozlo Sleepbuds. They are expensive but worth it. They are small so you can roll on your side and it’s fine. Otherwise I like the Bose noise cancelling earbuds. Also expensive, but are chunky - so if i roll over on my side while I sleep they wake me up and/or fall out.
I have tried a few. The ozlos were unusable for me just because the bluetooth cut in and out. Couldn’t really listen to anything steadily. Maybe I got unlucky, but the build quality and sound quality were good from what i remember. Just connection issues. If you’re really leaninf to one of those 3 I’d say just buy somewhere with a good return policy. Maybe the ozlo firmware is better now. I use the soundcore a30s. Decent sound quality, comfy, and stay in alright for me. Also keep in mind these little dudes with small li-ion batteries used nightly probably won’t be very “bifl” Have you considered wired iems? https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/u2wkme/compiling_a_list_of_sleepable_iems/ if you don’t roll much probably a better option
Wife has them. Part of why we got sleepbuds in the first place is my snoring, but part of it is she is a light sleeper. I also use breath right nasal strips, and that genuinely does help me sleep faster. Back to the buds. Changed from Ozlo sleepbuds to these. Ozlo had too many connection and charging issues. Had the subscription plan, so I sent them back after a few months. Bought the a30 as a surprise about a month after they dropped because I was dragging my feet for the same reason. Wife loves these. She sleeps fine for hours and hours upon end, but still does have trouble getting that deep deep sleep from time to time. She always has, but she is definitely less tired than before, so she seems to be getting better sleep. She used to be super cranky. Different kinds of tips and sizes of wings. The buds track snoring/noise in the room, how much deep sleep you get vs interrupted sleep and for how long. In the same section of the app she can go back on a calendar and compare days. We found busier more stressful days seem to be the issue. This is the cooler thing I think. The sound portion is insane. If I remember right it has a beta option where it can auto adjust the volume of the buds based on noise level in the room. She uses a constant volume setting because she doesn't want it cranking up too much and waking her. There is a mix section where you can blend different white noise tracks at percentage levels to create your own custom sound which is super cool. There are also audio sleep books in the sound library that are white noise tracks read by people like Cillian Murphy and Stephen Fry. I would say get them on Amazon if in budget. I couldn't find them in store anywhere around me. If you like em, great! If not, send them back and you at least have an answer. Keep an eye on the return window though. She hasn't really complained about anything specific yet. No battery issues, though she does wish it was a little longer? But she sleeps longer than I do, so take that with a grain of salt. There are foam tips though that increase passive noise isolation like ear plugs if the battery dies. She doesn't notice them when she sleeps, but you can feel them at first. Finding the right combo of wing tip and what ear tip feels right is crucial. Too small and it'll fall out, too large and it might put too much pressure on your ear canal. Took her a few days to get the right fit, and it's not the same in both ears because ears are not perfectly symmetrical so please keep that in mind. Unsolicited advice for anyone, if are having trouble sleeping still or feeling tired all the time, also consider getting a blood test to see if you are lacking in anything. Vitamin d, vitamin b, iodine levels, iron... So many things can affect your day to day, and it's not always just how you sleep but what else you need. Hope this helps!
Yes, I was on the KickStarter, and I've been using them a year. It's a really good product now, but I don't use the Bluetooth streaming so can't comment on that. I had used the Bose SleepBuds II before these; the ex-Bose guys behind this company bought that tech after Bose discontinued it and added things like Bluetooth streaming. I still just use the onboard sleep sounds, though. I just hope they hold up for a few years. One of the buds of my SleepBuds II lost half its volume, and so did the warranty replacement. I got maybe two years use out of both sets together.
Tried Ozlo and Soundcores, both are good and have some advantages over each other but Ozlos come out ahead. Soundcore doesn’t have a sleep timer which is completely insane and made them worthless to me. Both fit really well though and comfort wasn’t an issue.
They do look like they'd be very comfortable, and the biometric sensing is an interesting feature — I routinely fall asleep listening to things that just keep on playing, so I have to spend ages working out what I missed — as is the noise masking. But yikes, they're expensive! £269 — and [that's on offer](https://ozlosleep.co.uk/products/sleepbuds). And you say there are *still* bugs?
