I've used Plantronics Backbeat Fit 3150 for years because they use an open-ear design. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued, and I'll be looking at the Shokz OpenRun when this pair gives out.

I still have a pair of those as backup and used them exclusively pre shokz. The sound was better that's for sure and I really liked them but for comfort over long distances the shokz are hard to beat.

Ditto! I've tried MANY options and these are the best. Sound is not great. After several hours, they can get quite uncomfortable (maybe compounded by sunglasses). Another option: Plantronics Backbeat Fit. (I have used and liked the older "around the back of the head" ones. Never tried the separate newer "true wireless" ones.)

Plantronics back beat fit. But they are older and hard to find. 2 pairs on 8 years, they last! No need to return them against your warranty yearly like that one brand that everyone recommends. 🤣

I actually don't care for my shockz. The hard part over the ear hurts my ears/head when I add in sunglasses and a visor or hat. And they don't fit right with a winter hat. I have Plantronics Backbeat Fit and really like them. I also feel like their battery is better than my Shockz.

I'm a few days old here, but plantronics backbeat fit. I went through the earphones issue almost 10 years ago. Do (did) lots of running, including marathons. Needed Bluetooth, resistance to rain and comfy to wear for extended periods. Also not falling out. These meet all requirements. They have literally never fallen out, including during the pandemic where I was running 30+ miles a week. TBF I have now bought two as the first did give up eventually. But I got a good 5+ years out of them and my second pair is still going strong. The audio quality is really good too. I think price was about £80.
