Still using the OG galaxy buds from 2019 January. They are still the best for me in all aspects and even the battery life if decent if not best

I have/had several earbuds with silicon or foam tips: AirPods Pro 1&2, various Galaxy Buds, Pixel Buds Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM5. Some of theses are fantastic (especially the Sony XM5). But they all fall out and bother my ear canal. I've tried different sizes tips, Comply and other 3rd party tips nothing works. I wanted higher quality sound, but the AirPods 1 and 2 are the only ones that fit, didn't fall out and bother me. I never tried the AirPods 3, I'll try the 4s and hopefully they work like generations 1/2 did.

r/airpods • If you plan on buying Airpods 4 (ANC) instead of the Airpods Pro 2? Why? Just curious. ->

Came here to say these. Sound is way better than Air pods, as a reference. I keep them in the car because I use them only for working out and if I just connect them once a week to my car charger on the way to the gym I never have issues.

Thanks for this. I have the original Buds and the Lives and have had them since early 2021. Somehow, i haven't lost any of them and both sets still work very well and have a really good battery life. I didnt think I'd like the Live version because of the shape, and I assumed they would have worse sound and bass, but they're actually much better than the Buds in shape and sound quality.. I saw today that they're doing trade-ins, so I'm considering doing it. I just don't really like the stem.. Wish they still made the bean shaped buds

r/galaxybuds • Can anybody talk about the samsung galaxy buds 3 and not the buds 3 pro? I wanna know how they compare between eachother at least ->

I have a pair of first-generation Samsung Galaxy Buds and they've been going strong for over 3 years of heavy use exercising with major sweating and I think check all your boxes (I bought foam tips because I think they stick better, but you could use ones with fins if you prefer). I've seen them for under $30 on eBay so potentially a cheap option to try. Good luck!

I never get why people that don't like stock tips bail and move on. I go back to the icon X and even before. Never once used the stock tips on anything. Couldn't care less how stock tips fit, what they give you and so on. So to just dismiss the Xm5's because of the stock foam tips makes no sense when noise canceling is a major criteria. Even more so when you can pick up refurbs with 2yr warranty from Secondipity/ebay for $115. Also like the DPP's. More detail than the Xm5's. The two have an inverse relationship when comparing sound quality and noise cancellation. But neither are bad. Still taking the Xm5's on the plane. And I do abuse my Xm5's. 2yrs of daily use and they spend about 4hrs a week in the sauna at 175 degrees. Never missed a beat until I dropped the left one in the pool, and it took me a couple to find it. Picked up a new pair for $115 and back in business today. Will sell the old case and right bud on ebay to make some coin back. And with the DPP's at $150, I just can't see the extra $100+ being a worthwhile upgrade over these two. Maybe when refurbs are available under $200 I'll try them.

Galaxy Buds. I usually wear a hair band around my head so I just cover my ears with them if I'm doing something super physical, but I usually have no issue with them. I wear only one when I'm driving or at my kiddos sporting events and two when I really want to zone out.

Samsung galaxy buds (1st gen) sit in the external part of the ear. Like you, I have small ears and I find that ear buds don't sit well in my ears, or they block them and then I don't like the feeling of them (pressure change). The issue again is that earphones that sit in the external ear are harder to come by and the noise cancellation effect isn't as good as with headphones. I find that I can wear headphones on and off but not for an extended time! I think some Airpods also sit similarly to Samsung buds (1st gen) too? I just did a Google search for 'earphones not in ear canal' and found Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 look to be similar to Airpods, without the silicon bud as well as some JBL ones? Might be worth doing that search and looking at the reviews? Sorry I can't help further, but would be interested in the outcome!

Fe might be the best fit in most cases bcz it has wingtips buds3 and 3 pro quite similar to airpods3 and pro respectively, but the big stem might cause discomfort to some ppl. buds pro is the biggest and thickest one, most ppl dont go with it. buds 2 is the smallest but the most slippery pair. buds 2 pro is somewhere in between this duo. buds live is weirdly shaped, meant to be a competitor of normal airpods(comfy for most) but its long shape break its meaning buds 1 and buds+ are similar to fe, but you hardly find a new pair of them these days gear icon x same as buds 1.

Yes and no. AirPods only employ a seamless and trouble free connection and experience. That is it. Otherwise, a true audiophile would never disgrace themselves with the presence of AirPods on any level. If you’re looking for a a great experience, any real audiophile will tell you that only a DAC can deliver the results you want from music. This is why Apple Music in particular says that when using Lossless Audio at the highest setting requires a DAC and wired headphones. Otherwise, the quality is diminished over Bluetooth. However, in my experience, Bose, Sennheiser, and Sony are the top 3 I would choose. Bose being the first choice simply because I have more experience with those over the latter 2. But Sennheiser is a close second with Sony, as both of those brands offer professional studio quality options when using a DAC. The other option I may go for is AKG, in this case, a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds (believe it or not). All in all, Bose or Sony.

how are the ambient sound features in earbuds other than airpods pro 2? Just got them and this is the feature I like the most, more than sound quality and noise cancellation. I would like to know if others have similar or better quality environmental sound reproduction. My last non-airpod earbuds were the galaxy buds 1 and they were definitely NOT good in that sense.

I use them too. I went through samsung galaxy buds, airpods, 3 pairs of sennheisers tw3m and now I’m using technics. I wouldn’t say they are better or worse than TW3 but at least they aren’t broken every few months. My only complaint is that a lot of times they aren’t charging one of my buds because of the “dirt” even though I clean them everytime before storing them in the case. It wasn’t like that in the beginning. But tbh I’m on my second pair of technics as well. First one stopped charging after like a month or so

I'm with some other commenters, in that the way these stupid things "seal" to your ear is just really poor. I cannot get them to fit like my OG Buds, no matter the tip size. That said and the way they sit, the passive noise cancelling is vastly superior in my OG Buds than the ANC is in the Buds 3 Pro. Because the passive cancelling is superior, my OG Buds sound light-years better. Aside from the fitment and poor ANC, I also have issues with the battery draining rapidly. At 15-20% volume and ANC on, they're dead in under 3 hours. I'm really at the point that I'm gonna get my money back, as much as I was looking to upgrade finally.

I'm late to the party but your comment has me perplexed. The original Galaxy Buds have silicone in-ear parts and silicone wings for fitting in the ear, no? I'm still rocking mine and the expert suggestions are very similar to my original Galaxy Buds. Do you mean the Galaxy Buds Live? They had less silicone.

Im another with "weird shaped ears" . The original galaxy buds, jbl live free 2, and for whatever reason i bought a set of the mifo 05 3rd gen, are my top 3 for not coming out. Beats fitness pro felt like they wouldnt but i could never set an eq that sounded good to me. unfortunately all in ear types so not quite to your criteria, but theyre also all relatively small buds so they sit fairly flush, which i assume means theres less wiggle while you move

I've tried various Samsung Galaxy Buds variants, Google Pixel Buds Pro, Sony WF-1000XM4 and Sennheiser Momentum TW3. Currently in using the XM4 buds. The Sennheisers were a good fit and I liked the sound quality. I'd probably still be using them now if one of the buds hadn't stopped working a couple of weeks outside the warranty period. The Samsung buds were also a good fit and produced great sound. I'll never know if they were reliable because each and every time they produced a severe allergic reaction in my ears. The Pixel Buds Pro were utter garbage in my opinion. They were a poor fit, produced sound with no depth and never stayed in (probably because they were such s bad fit). They also produced an allergic reaction in my ears, albeit fast less severe than the Samsungs.

Advice needed! I have been looking a long time and tried quite a few earbuds. But I cannot find it. So reddit, hear me out. Back in the day I bought a Samsung S8 and they came with these amazingly nice fitting yet very simple AKG wired ear buds. I still have them and these (and SONY MDR-EX15LP) have been the only ear buds that fitted in my ears without getting uncomfortable after 10 minutes of using. But unfortunately all the 3.5mm jacks are disappearing and the adapters are always a hassle. I am in need of wireless ones. So far I have tried: - soundcore liberty 4 nc (absolute horrible fit) - samsung galaxy buds - jabra 75t - some 3rd party brands I am done trying and wasting money on buds that don't fit my ears. So who can help me find ear buds that resemble the ergonomy of the AKG and sony's I've mentioned? Other requirements that are of high importance to me are: - high grade call quality (as in I need to be able to have a clear conversation while cycling to work through northern winds) - pretty good noice cancelling. Not the absolute best though. I have my Bose QC over ear headphone for that. - simple interface. I am not an audiophile nor a tech wizard. - flawless connectivity with any device. I absolutely loathe things that don't work when prompted. Hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction. I would be forever greatful😁.

I used to use galaxy buds but now I don’t use anything. No complaints with them and I appreciated that they blocked most of the wind noise. I think the dangers of cycling with earbuds are pretty overblown. Being able to hear the car behind you isn’t going to do anything when the driver sneezes and swerves into you by accident. You really should be doing head checks every 7 seconds or so if you’re on a bike lane with car traffic anyway.
