"acceptable sound quality/sound stage"

"The sound quality on the Buds3 are much better IMO. And the full EQ makes it it easy to match how you want it."

"If they do fit, then the ANC and bass should also work for you. ... I struggle with silicon eartip buds, getting them to stay in my ears, after about 10 minutes they start to slowly come lose, which means the bass and ANC is gone."

"I use them for remote work, take all my calls on them, etc."

"Also the audio and mic quality is great."

"The controlling of the Buds3 are much improved. ... The squeeze function on the Buds3 fixes this and the fact you can change the volume as well is very nice (by sliding the finger up or down the blades (stem))."

"Love having volume controls right on my earbud, no accidentally skiping to the next song when adjusting it in my ear."

Depending on your ear/head, you can stack ANC using galaxy buds + XM4 which guarantees basically everything will be drowned out aside from vibrations you can feel physically. For that reason I prefer the Galaxy buds 2 pro over the buds 3 which has a stem. You can also use your shoulder to tap in the event your hands are unavailable to operate the controls which is another plus for the buds 2 pro.

I'd stretch for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pros, but if they really are too much, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pros are great as well. The B3Ps have voice commands, which are a killer feature that no other buds have from any company. The B2Ps are a different form factor, but still sound almost as good as the B3Ps. I would avoid the Galaxy Buds 3 (not pro) if I were you, since you like EDM and they severely lack on bass compared to the sealed option.

The case is ok, just get used to it, its just a matter of habit. I had all airpods models and buds pro2 and buds 3 (sometimes I like to go out or make zoom calls without rubber in ears)) I will put buds pro 2 on the first place in usability but they say buds pro 3 have better sound. buds 3 don't position well in ears, I like airpods nonPro more. The last place go to Airpods pro which I gave to one younger relative and he was happy.

Fe might be the best fit in most cases bcz it has wingtips buds3 and 3 pro quite similar to airpods3 and pro respectively, but the big stem might cause discomfort to some ppl. buds pro is the biggest and thickest one, most ppl dont go with it. buds 2 is the smallest but the most slippery pair. buds 2 pro is somewhere in between this duo. buds live is weirdly shaped, meant to be a competitor of normal airpods(comfy for most) but its long shape break its meaning buds 1 and buds+ are similar to fe, but you hardly find a new pair of them these days gear icon x same as buds 1.

If you plan on getting semi in ear earbuds, don't expect them to have "good" ANC. At most they will block out (some) low frequency rumbling but definitely not mid or high frequencies as they don't create a seal in the ear like ones with eartips. I've also used the Airpods 4 (ANC), Samsung Galaxy buds 3, the Jbl live flex 3, and in my testing when using a binaural microphone, they only block 60-75 percent of low frequencies (overall) from 50 to 15 decibels but I'm not 100 percent sure how accurate it really is. Like you mentioned, you could try getting your wife some over ear headphones.

I would say if you have a Samsung device, just get the Galaxy buds. But any other device, I would recommend getting the OnePlus. The OnePlus also better sound quality (better imaging, soundstage, and seperation). But the Samsung has better transparency mode and better ANC when it comes to blocking out high frequencies. It's not really a noticeable difference.

I just bought the Samsung Galaxy buds 3 (non pro). They are the same style as the basic airpods and sound just as good. Has voice controls to pause, play whatever is playing as well as stem controls. I can't do in ear either and now that I have a Samsung phone I figured I try these after losing my airpods. So far I really like them. Update: I returned the Samsung buds. First day of having them in for more than a few minutes (about 2 hours) and my ears HURT. They are a little bigger than airpods but figured Id be okay with them. They seemed fine for the times I wore them. A longer wear session was too painful though.

Buds 3 - no, they are falling off just when I rotate my head, usable only for listening while sitting Buds 3 pro 50/50. Very personal, but for me 2pro worked better. 3 pro for me don't work properly in heavy weight workouts, but fine for running, still trying to move out but not critical. I've lost each ear bud 6 times today while bench press and shoulders training, hate this smooth surface and form.

Samsung Galaxy buds 3 or buds 3 pro have an "active listening" feature. The buds have mics on the outside that mix your music with the sounds of your surroundings. The music still sounds great because they they in ear buds. I prefer the buds 3 pro because they have the rubber tips like most earbuds. The buds 3 are hard plastic like airpods. I think they are great because they have excellent sound quality, and you can turn the active listening off. This makes them become normal ear buds with excellent sound quality.

In short: yes. To elaborate: the stems make them stay in place a lot better than the 2pro. I have not encountered any problems so far when working out, while my 2pro would regularly shift out of place a bit or even slide out sometimes.

ANC without a seal doesn't do a lot unfortunately. The silicone tips typically achieve around 70-85% of noise reduction purely through isolation, so without them you're left with the remainder. Apple Airpod 4 ANC is the strongest in this area by a long way. Cheaper alternatives include Samsung Galaxy Buds 3, Soundpeats Air5, Xiaomi Buds 5 & QCY HT10 (in price descending order). My next review is a comparison of these semi-in-ear ANC buds and it will include a Binaural recording of each of them so at least you will know what to expect - don't expect much!

I have the buds pro 3. They are amazing. You can read the reviews, this is the first time where samsung buds are competing for no.1 title in tws category. The buds pro 3 are everything and more. They're honestly worth the price. The noise cancelation is better than airpods pro 2, transparency can be better, but sound quality is much better. The fit is awkward if you have big ears but fine with medium and small. Ps don't buy the base buds buds 3 they're HOT garbage.

I had the xm4's, best buds I've ever had. Only negatives were that they are kinda bulky and the eartips just break in use. Xm5's probably are better in every way. The anc is the best. Personally I liked the buds2pros more than 3's. Small, sleaker size, they look better imo and not just a apple copy, they stayed in ear better and no real difference in audio for me. anc maybe bit better on 3s.

Yes, that's a good thing. But even that feature is not *new*; which I was going for. I've had it on my galaxy buds for a while now. Probably not as good but still. And I agree. If these can replace buying expensive medical level hearing aids, it's only for the better. And I too have family members thatbuse hearing aids. One of the main things about them (for some reason) is that our older generation (atleast in our case) doesn't seam to like the wear bulky looking ear pieces for pretty much 24/7. It's breen a struggle sometimes. Also, earing aids have some features not available on others, like ability to boost specific frequencies and also quiet others with precision.

How well the Buds 3 work for you is dependant on how well they fit you. I watched a YuouTube reviewer who said he spent ages getting a good fit on the buds 3 so they don't fall out. He was wasting his time. If they are not a good fir for you at the first attempt, then they are not for you. If they do fit, then the ANC and bass should also work for you. I am one of the lucky ones where they do fit well, and when I say well, I could not shake them off my ears if I tried. I struggle with silicon eartip buds, getting them to stay in my ears, after about 10 minutes they start to slowly come lose, which means the bass and ANC is gone. It might follow that if you struggle with silicon eartips, then open earbuds will work for you, though things are never that straightforward.

I think you’re confused about why these specific ear buds would be better on a job site, ANC is really good at cancelling consistent noise, and the galaxy buds with adaptive ANC are way better than these at that. They don’t do much for sudden, very loud or high frequency sounds. The galaxy buds have no physical barrier, these style buds are functional ear plugs with an earbud attached to them. The tips are what’s important for the purpose here. You can get aftermarket foam tips for buds but I’m not sure on their ratings or how effective they are.

I have the Galaxy Buds Pro and 3Buds Pro. And have Sony XM5 (overear) Ive had skull candy, bose, JBL, Airpods, and beats before. Sony, Bose, and Beats will have better sound engineering for sure out of the box. With better sound after tuning. I think in that order. Bose is very bass heavy while Sony is tuned better for all frequencies. Then from there you can tune it yourself with the equalizer. Galaxy buds sound is decent at best out of the box. But after some tuning, I got tjem pretty close to my Sonys. But ANC is much better on the Sonys. In terms of device compatibility, connectivity, and App, Samsung all the way. Comfort, I'd give it to Samsung. Overall, i love my Galaxy Buds and Buds3. I do recommend them as a top performer for earbuds. However, take the time to tune the audio for best results. If you don't care about the features and device compatibility and app, I'd vote Sony. Their audio engineering and ANC are top notch. But their app sucks. I use headphones/earbuds 8+hours a day on average. So sound, comfort, and compatibility are top things from me. Samsung has it all. With the exception of sound which will require some tuning to get that sound you want. ANC is good enough that the average person won't tell the difference. I don't use headphones for phone calls. I don't like it. So no comment there.

There are 2 types of earbuds, one that goes into your ear canal and one that sits just outside your ear canal. The one that just sits outside the ear canal let's in more outside sound. Example the regular Samsung Buds 3 , Bose Ultra Open, Sony Float Run Open , Shokz OpenFit earbuds. Wired open ear buds are less common and u need to have a headphone jack. Open wired headphone for mobile use are ATH Ava-300, Koss Porta Pro.

I did notice my NOTHING ears have pretty mid noise canceling. I don't care as much because I just use my over-ear for noise canceling. I've never had amazing ANC buds so maybe i'm missing out. I do wish I had a android phone, my first ever buds were the Samsung Galaxy Buds. Loved them. The struggle is finding something that sounds great, with above average ANC, at a somewhat decent price $150-$80. I almost got the AV100s but I just couldn't justify the price. I'm currently really happy with the NOthings, but my main worry is quality control.

I use them too. I went through samsung galaxy buds, airpods, 3 pairs of sennheisers tw3m and now I’m using technics. I wouldn’t say they are better or worse than TW3 but at least they aren’t broken every few months. My only complaint is that a lot of times they aren’t charging one of my buds because of the “dirt” even though I clean them everytime before storing them in the case. It wasn’t like that in the beginning. But tbh I’m on my second pair of technics as well. First one stopped charging after like a month or so

The older sony xm3's (and the xm4's albeit its not as easy) have replaceable batteries, along with some of the galaxy buds (they all use the same battery). I guess the fairphone ones are also repairable, but iirc they aren't amazing earphones to begin with. That's likely the closest you're gonna get to a TWS that "lasts". Alternatively, getting bluetooth hooks for wired iems like some of the other commenters here mentioned would also sort of work, since the IEM itself should last a really long time (but now its the hook thats somewhat disposable. Some of them might have batteries that are easy to replace, but I don't really follow them closely)

Earplugs, grab a couple extra foamies from the range if you forget some. No such thing as good Galaxy Buds. They're POS. You're eventually either gonna have 1 making shrieking noises in your ear. Or one with lower volume than the other. For such an expensive and supposedly premium item, they work worse than the cheap buds.

Not exactly what you asked for, but when I’m in an environment that I *really* need to drown out, I wear Loop earplugs under my noise cancelling headphones (Bose Quietcomfort Ultra) with the sound turned up high. I have many kinds of Loop earplugs so I choose depending on the amount of cancellation I need. They lay pretty flush to the ear. But to answer your original question, AirPods have been the best ANC buds I’ve used. I’ve only compared to the Galaxy Buds, but they’re better.

Pretty much. Galaxy Buds work well especially if you have a Samsung phone. (Features) Especially in the sub 60usd space. Only other option are the Moondrop Space Travel, whose quality of audio is better. The NC is weak, and volume doesn't go up for those who are nearly deaf like me. $27 If you're lucky to find one below $60, the AKG N400NC are amazing and the closest I've gotten to XM5 level of audio and NC but they ate discontinued and AKG cleared the stock at $40. All metal construction, battery life (both case and buds) is decent, tips subjective. If you go expensive, XM5 are the best imo. LDAC, battery life, best ANC, foam tips, vast amount of features, etc.

Advice needed! I have been looking a long time and tried quite a few earbuds. But I cannot find it. So reddit, hear me out. Back in the day I bought a Samsung S8 and they came with these amazingly nice fitting yet very simple AKG wired ear buds. I still have them and these (and SONY MDR-EX15LP) have been the only ear buds that fitted in my ears without getting uncomfortable after 10 minutes of using. But unfortunately all the 3.5mm jacks are disappearing and the adapters are always a hassle. I am in need of wireless ones. So far I have tried: - soundcore liberty 4 nc (absolute horrible fit) - samsung galaxy buds - jabra 75t - some 3rd party brands I am done trying and wasting money on buds that don't fit my ears. So who can help me find ear buds that resemble the ergonomy of the AKG and sony's I've mentioned? Other requirements that are of high importance to me are: - high grade call quality (as in I need to be able to have a clear conversation while cycling to work through northern winds) - pretty good noice cancelling. Not the absolute best though. I have my Bose QC over ear headphone for that. - simple interface. I am not an audiophile nor a tech wizard. - flawless connectivity with any device. I absolutely loathe things that don't work when prompted. Hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction. I would be forever greatful😁.

Are there any earbuds that have multi-point connection, ANC, AND good microphones? I am also facing similar issues with my QC Ultra earbuds. The mics are just garbage. It captures every sound in the background but not my voice. At least on the laptop when I use MS Teams I have an option of selecting the laptop microphone. But when I'm on the move and take calls on my phone, it's very difficult for people to hear what I'm saying.  I was also facing issues with one earbud being louder than the other and I've already gone through 3 pairs. A little bit of ear wax and the performance starts degrading. I need to clean it with a microfiber cloth and screen cleaning liquid at least twice a week. My old Samsung Galaxy Buds were definitely better and cheaper than this. So yes, I would love some recommendation on good earbuds.

I am deeply dissapointed in the Galaxy Buds, ANC is really bad and the problem not in the level of suppresion but the fact that they sometimes differ in each ear, mic noise cancelation is also garbage, I barely could talk in the noisy environment ( like Mall or cars at the highway ) Sometimes they failed to switch off the call mode, sometimes the sound differ in ears. Very unstable, but the most annoyin is instability of the noise cancelation both in and out, I ended up using wired headphones again, planning to test huawei buds pro 3.
