I have the bose ultra open earbuds and love them for the design, ease of use and sound quality. I had previously used beats powerbeats pro, samsung earbuds fe and airpods pro and realized running isolated with noise cancelling has a lot of risks but there is nothing better than the bose in the market that lets you be sound aware as well as enjoy the music. Got good deal during BF so that helped

I use the Galaxy FE because they have the little wings, and with the aftermarket tips I bought, they stay in well, no matter what I'm doing. (I mainly use them for disc golf and rough outdoor work) But it's not a love affair... they don't support apt-x so they sound best with galaxy phones (which i have). You are limited to the EQ presets and none really work for me so I pick the one that suits my mood that day. ANC, comfort, and sound are OK. I'm picky about sound and can't really find fault but you are never going to hand these to someone and say oh my god you have to hear these. While not major faults there is nothing 'audiophile' about the sound. My number one priority was them staying in, at least ok sound, and they were at my price point. They did everything well enough that I did not return them.

I have Samsung Buds FE for a daily driver. The comfort and sound are superb; I can wear them for hours. I recommend getting one of these. I also have Moondrop Space Travel for gaming and watching videos, due to its low latency; much lower than my Samsung Buds FE. The sounds are great, but the bass is weak and the comfort is okay. I also own a Fiil T2 Pro, the sounds are okay since the bass is strong and punchy, comfort is great due to its wing tip.

I ordered a handful of open box earbuds recently to try them all out and returned the ones I didn't like. I started with the Sony wf-1000xm4s. They were pretty good sounding and had excellent noise cancelling but they'd become uncomfortable when being worn for a couple hours. And I pretty much have one in the whole time I'm at work.  The Galaxy Buds Pro 2s were good as well. Even with Samsung's lossless codec (I have a z flip phone) I don't think their sound quality was quite on par with the Sony's but it was close. The bass wasn't as good but they were much brighter out of the box. ANC was a big step down and you can't use the ANC at all when only using a single ear bud. I think if these buds were cheaper they'd be a good option but they aren't quite there. Comfort though was superior to the Sony's.  Next ones I tried were the Galaxy Buds FE. Price was right when buying new but I bought all mine open box as I fully planned on returning most of them and they don't get a good discount. The FEs were extremely comfortable to wear throughout the day but the sound quality wasn't there.  Then I tried the Technics AZ80s. These are like $350 CAD new but open box you can find them for $200. These guys sounded great. Once you get them tuned to your preferences they were a huge step above the Sony's. ANC was good enough. They were big but did fit under my earmuffs at work. The only problem is comfort. I could only wear them for 45, 60 minutes before my ears started to hurt, they were just too big.  Next pair I tried was the Oneplus Pro Buds 2. They're like $250 CAD new but I found a place in Toronto that sells them refurbished for $100. Out of the box I wasn't too impressed. I'd say they are pretty much on par with the Galaxy Buds Pro 2. I found a recommended eq for them online though and once I applied that they sounded so good, easily the best sounding out of all the earbuds I had looked at. ANC is good enough, I think both the Sony and Samsung beat it but they just sound so much better then either of those.  The only problem is they use a stem design like the apple ear buds instead of a ball design  like the galaxies and my ear muffs at work catch those stems and pull the buds out of my ear.  I chose not to try the Sennheiser Wireless Momentum 4s as, while I've heard their sound quality is great, they have major reliability and quality control issues from what I've read.  For now I've kept the Oneplus Buds Pro 2 to use on walks and around my home and I found a really cheap pair of the og Galaxy Buds Pro to use at work. They don't sound nearly as good as the Oneplus but they're better than the FEs, cheaper, and comfortable enough to get me through a 12 hour shift.

They have a very strong marketing campaign going on but all their talking points are classic IEM noob traps like "more driver = more better" type of thing. IMO for TWS if you have Apple you get APP2. If you have Samsung, you get the Samsung Buds FE. The other option for Android is the Creative Aurvana Ace 2 with those fancy new xMEMS drivers.

What makes the Buds FE worse than the Buds 2 Pro? The Buds FE does everything I want an TWS IEM to do and is cheaper than most of the decent alternatives.

I mean the Buds 2 Pro isn't exactly neutral in that regard either. It's fine if there's a preference for it, but calling the Buds FE shitty (not you, the other guy) is a reach. Both have the 1.5 kHz hump and you swap the treble "elevation". https://i.imgur.com/naoHH5q.png

Definitely in ear. On ear and over ear are gonna contribute to head sweat and stink up quickly. Airpods or Beats fit pro are the go to if you’re on iPhone. If you’re on Android then you have many, many options. Nothing Ear(a) and cmf buds pro 2 are great budget options. Galaxy Buds pro 3 (or 2 if you wanna save a buck) are good also. It really does come down to ear canal size and shape. You just need something with a good fit. Sound quality doesn’t matter too much to me when I’m working out. Buy using Amazon prime and take advantage of their lenient return policy. Just try them in your ears really quick, then box them back up if they aren’t immediately comfortable. Hope some of that helped ✌️🤘

If u aren't an audiophile who needs precise notes, all of them (especially 2 series onwards) are really really good. And older gen are dirt cheap in comparision It's like 9/10 vs 10/10 match

If all you care about is stability then the wingtips on the Samsung Buds FE work the best out of any system I've used. Way better than hooks that go around the outer ear. I managed to use an old pair of wingtips from my Galaxy Buds+ with Technics EAH-AZ80. They fit really securely but I have to take the wingtips off when putting the buds back in the case. I also replaced the eartips with memory foam tips. It's completely secure and the seal holds during walks, hikes, runs and bike rides. I've found you either have to settle for some mediocre buds that are purely designed with stability in mind, or you have to get creative. I firmly believe no one actually makes a top tier bud that is stable and secure with stock parts.

samsung buds fe, you can find a brandnew one sa fb market place for below 3k. original naman mga nagbebenta dun kahit mura (usisain mo lang mabuti) it just so happen na once bumili ka ng certain unit from samsung, may free na earbuds na. or bili ka from shopee may vouchers naman. don’t worry isa rin ako sa ayaw ng mga rubber eartips and so far yung samsung buds fe lang yung very comfy and hindi nahuhulog sa ears ko.

But be aware that you can’t even update them via android, you should have access to an iPad or so at least to do that. Not being in the apple ecosystem makes them less compelling and the xm5 are the next best option in my opinion, if you can deal with foam tips. The Samsung buds fe offer incredible value and should work fine with your device, mb consider them too so.

The best sound that I've heard under $100 are the Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro Plus and the Samsung Galaxy FE. You aren't going to get good sound from any earbud that doesn't provide a decent seal, so you can forget about air conduction products.

Not saying the FE are bad, I’m glad you enjoy yours (as per your review, which was very informative), but I think the signature of the buds 2 pro will just be preferred by more people. I’m all for a little color, but the ways the buds FE deviate from most well regarded iem targets is in ways that I and many others find particularly distasteful (the ones you pointed out like 1.5k honk and emphasized 5-8k).

Hard to beat those 4nc in this particular question. With eq, they have massive bass. They have some of the most solid anc. They have ldac and good tuning for audio quality. If your more of a Harman curve person, try to Galaxy buds 2 pro and buds fe. If that doesn't do ya, go straight to the perl pro. If that doesn't do ya, grab a fiio wireless kit and start trying iems

Yeah the Jabra aren't as good - they just use MEMS microphones (two in each earbud) whereas the Samsung and Huawei use six mics - four MEMS for noise reduction and two bone conduction mics for your voice. It means when it gets noisy in the scene, the noise reduction won't dull your own voice as well. They are more expensive, but you're getting an uplift in hardware for the money that does actually have a noticeable benefit

Heck yeah, this is my recommendation as well. You get "enough" of the features of the pros at about a third of the cost. I can't speak to the sound quality when compared to the pros, but I have no complaints on how mine sound.

I finally went for Samsung Galaxy Buds FE. Positive reviews, enjoyable/fun sound quality, reliability and call quality all at a very affordable price made me go for them over OnePlus Buds 3 and Earfun Pro 4. I liked the latter, but its occlusion was a deal-breaker for me. And the brightness of the OP. FE buds feel simple, yet matured. No excess features/app tinkering - esp given that I am on iPhone. I only want it for calls everywhere and music on the walks etc. Call quality is far better than my MTW4 (as I expected) and my voice felt natural and clear at the other end. Also I could afford to go wrong at their price than that of the Sony Linkbuds or the Jabra Elites. I didn’t.

r/Earbuds • Any earbuds better than Sony LinkBuds S for call quality in the budget-mid range? ->

Agree with all the points except better microphone. I cannot be heard by the caller when I use the MTW4, the sound is low and feels like coming from a distance. I have bought the much cheaper Galaxy Buds FE to be used exclusively for phone calls while the music listening happens on the MTW4.

I can't speak for price because I got mine for free with a phone purchase, but the Samsung galaxy FE buds have been fantastic. Using both earbuds, you can switch between a noise cancelling mode and an ambient noise mode, both of which can be used with audio playing. If you only have one earbud in, it just works like a normal earbud without noise cancelling or ambient mode. This is how I usually use mine on long drives listening to podcasts. The audio quality is still great and it fits my ear very nicely. I regularly use one earbud on an 8hr drive without running out of battery. The case has its own battery to recharge the buds as well. Just keep them away from moisture. If it gets in the earbuds, it messes with the microphones for the ambient/ANC modes.

I think the Samsung Buds FE are underrated. Yes they're not yop tier quality as buds above 250-300 euros but i love them and got a 2nd pair. They have a rubber edge that adjust to the ear shape, and different modes to adjust sound. They're a good but midrange at 70€.

https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-type/in-ear-earbuds https://www.soundguys.com/best-wireless-earbuds-under-100-20397/ I picked the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE because rtings.com gave them the highest rating for telephone call quality. I would say that's correct because most people don't notice I'm on earbuds. I also have a pair of Anker that are pretty good.

Bought the regular buds 3 and returned them 10 minutes later in exchange for buds fe. The buds 3 wouldn't fit in my ears at all, they just fall out every time. On top of this, they really don't sound that good (even when I hold them in my ear to create a seal). Got the FE's for 90 bucks CAD, way better deal and they fit like a glove

I got the Galaxy Buds FE for Christmas. I haven't tried anything else but I have to say that I'm completely satisfied with them, especially for the price. I don't see the point of paying twice as much for the pro or whatever else. And if they get.lpst.or broken I wouldn't be too upset either because they're less than $100.

I love the Samsung Galaxy FE buds. Great for the price and they don't cause discomfort or fall out (which I experienced with JayBirds, bose, especially Jabra, and AirPods). They dont get sound distortion from sweat either so far at leastOnly downside is they are a little bulkier than many competitors
