Thanks for the response anyways. I also own the Galaxy Buds Live and they're pretty underwhelming for me so do you have any experience with them?

Pros sound better I have them and don’t use them much (sometimes when I’m outside for an hour or two). I just hate the feeling with silicone tips inside my ears (tried different brands and it was the same or worse). I loved AirPods 2,3 and now just bought 4s with ANC (actually haven’t unpacked yet). I also really like Samsung LiveBuds - I think those are much better than people say.

I used the Samsung galaxy live. The bean ones that DON'T go inside my ear. I still hear a good amount of my surroundings since they don't go in my ear. Ive used them daily for about 5 years. Battery life has gone down some but I use one at a time anyways and alternate so they still last me beyond a 12 hour shift. They're an old model for cheap now. About $100

You already get a Samsung phone... just go get Samsung Galaxy Buds Live with a price around $100, what's more important, the same system works better, or Shokz Openfit if you have sporting demand

I use both the buds 2 pro and buds 3 pro. I love the sound on the 3 pro but hate the stem, so I usually use more the buds 2 pro . I miss the buds live, they were the best ever unless you used to sleep on the side lol

I have 2 such pairs: Nothing Ear Stick - very light and comfortable, but not stable enough for exercise. Galaxy Buds Live - comfortable and very stable for any activity. But it's a pretty old model now.

I have Samsung Galaxy Buds Live and seamless switching works with any device. My LG and Nothing earbuds also have this feature.

I bought galaxy buds live for such a reason as they don't go deep in ear and still enable me to hear. They are fine. I miss my sennheiser mm100 neckband headphones as they sounded good, go over the ear so block wind noise, and fit with a helmet, but they don't make them any more 😔 Tried some sports over the ear earbuds that don't go directly in the ear, at a shop, from a brand I forget the name of sadly, and was surprised by how good the quality was and how they had actual bass, but i suspect wind noise would be a major issue. 

Fe might be the best fit in most cases bcz it has wingtips buds3 and 3 pro quite similar to airpods3 and pro respectively, but the big stem might cause discomfort to some ppl. buds pro is the biggest and thickest one, most ppl dont go with it. buds 2 is the smallest but the most slippery pair. buds 2 pro is somewhere in between this duo. buds live is weirdly shaped, meant to be a competitor of normal airpods(comfy for most) but its long shape break its meaning buds 1 and buds+ are similar to fe, but you hardly find a new pair of them these days gear icon x same as buds 1.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are amazing for this. They feel weird at first but once you get used to them, they almost disappear. You can also get silicone socks that go on the buds that help keep them in your ears.  The only thing is that they are discontinued so you have to search for them, and they are open early earphones so the ANC is pretty much non-existent. That said, sound quality is great for what they are and I have no problems laying on my side with them all night. Battery life in my experience is just under a night of sleep

Until now, the only wireless buds that I would highly recommend for sound quality will always be the Galaxy Buds line, with the pros being the best one. Sound quality out of the box is definitely the best and no eq is necessary. A few exceptions would be the buds live when it comes to sound since it has the weirdest shape and fit that probably affect the lower end of the frequency. Bonus point if you use a samsung phone since that will enable the proprietary SSC codec from samsung.

Your post reminds me that the only earphones I've been able to adapt to were the Galaxy Buds Live - which have been discontinued. Personally, I hate in-ear ones, they're very uncomfortable and I don't like using them on the street. I'll pay attention to the comments to see if there are any options similar to the Buds Live.

I have Galaxy Live buds (Samsung) and they give you the option of noise cancelling or not. When I bought them they were $100CAD, not sure what the USD price is. They also do not go inside the ears which imo is a plus. And the sound quality is good

Galaxy Buds Live were the best in comfort. A bean model is normal to lay in the ear. for music all the Pro models were good and the ANC during music was also good. Whenbit comes to calls the Buds 2 Pro were the best, they included a shield which was very nice and ANC was well. Buds 3 Pro during calls sucks. ANC isn't good when you're outside. They need to update that product

I've been using the Galaxy Buds Live for three years now because they're so much more comfortable than everything else I've tried. Heavy recommend if comfort is the priority

I bought those in 2021 and used them for about two years. The most impressive thing for me was the sound... With the right fit they would sound amazing and the bass was pretty good for a semi in ear. Sadly, they were really uncomfortable for my ears. Both of my ears would start feeling extremely sore after like 15 mins of use (even though I used them for +5 hours trips, I was in pain but I enjoyed the sound haha). Also the left earbud wasn't as secure as the right one and would occasionally fall. If it wasn't for that I would've bought another pair. Such a shame that Samsung never released a proper sequel to those earbuds... They had something unique and still went for the Airpods design. Now it seems like that's the only design for semi in ears that is on the market right now.

I've owned every model of Samsung buds and the buds live are definitely the easiest to use and most comfortable. I mostly listen to podcasts and audio books so I can't really comment properly on the sound quality

The best open ear earphones are the buds live hands-down. Definitely try then. Totally worth it especially if you have a samsung phone.

Idk I've had them for a similar time and they were the MOST COMFORTABLE (YOU DONT EVEN KNOW YOU'RE WEARING THEM, CAN SLEEP IN THEM EVEN WITHOUT ANY DISCOMFORT)AND HAVENT ONCE FALLEN OF MY EARS AND IM A REALLY ACTIVE PERSON.

Galaxy Buds Live are pretty good, for your budget. Mine have lasted me about two years so far. In my experience you'll get a lot more out of them if you clean them regularly.

This is a much needed comparison. Thanks for the in-depth info. For people who dont like in-ear headphones, the Buds Live was the only good option available to Samsung users. I was glad the Buds3 finally were a replacement in that category.

I'm fan of Samsung and I used Galaxy buds live with Note 10 lite. Upgraded to S23U recently and still use the same earbuds. ANC isn't that great but for indoor use, it just sounds great with Dolby Atmos ON. If you need best audio, I'd suggest IEM. Pure bliss 💫

I have the Galaxy Buds Live, and I absolutely love them.

I'm a huge fan of my Galaxy Buds Live. They sit outside my ear while still being Bluetooth earbuds. I have a few friends that have them too, and we call them beans... because they're jelly bean shaped. They never fall out or shift while I'm wearing them! I have a conch piercing, and it's never bothered me. Also water resistant!

Galaxy buds live. Not the best fit, not the best sound, but I don't have to stick them deep into my ears and allow me to still have some situational awareness. I have the Sony WF XM4 earbuds too for when sound isolation makes sense.

Out of the 15 or so earbuds I own, by far the smallest, most comfortable, and great sounding buds are my Samsung Buds Live. My go-to everyday pair.

I've owned over 35 different earbuds and my daily carry buds are the Samsung Galaxy Live Buds (beans). They are my most comfortable earbuds with great deep bass response. I have no idea how they achieved this without an airtight seal like other earbuds need. They are so good I bought two pairs in case they stop selling them and my main pair breaks.

The SoundPeats Free2 Classic are non-stem buds, but maybe take a look at my other favorite buds, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (beans). They are very comfortable because they sit slightly outside your ear canal but still have really good deep bass response.

Agreed, you have to try several and pick a style that works for you. For me, the absolute best fit for my ears are the Samsung Buds Live, but they are the only ones that make that shape. The worst shape for me are the Jabra Elite / Sony WF-1000XM5 style that stick out way far from your ears. Never understood why they are designed to be so far outside your ear. Like you could never wear them with a bike or motorcycle helmet.

I came from Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (free*),Moondrop Space Travel, KZ Z1, KZ ZSN Pro (wired) My Moondrop space travel broke so I wish I could get Moondrop Moca but I can't find any sellers in my country. So I decided on Redmi Buds 6 Pro because I think they offer the most features for the price but apparently it came with one HUGE disappointment. Redmi Buds 6 pro compared to every other I had before this is the most "curated" one, I mean the support is amazing for the app. There is a native Android pairing support (y'know that 3d animation that shows up on your phone at the first time you pair it), then in Bluetooth settings you already can find almost everything the buds offers: 3 levels of anc and transparency, swipe and touch controls, dual connectivity toggle, in-device rename, even basic EQ preset selections. If you download the app it gets wilder: adaptive sound signature, adaptive anc, 3D surround with head tracking, full custom EQ and so on. I've never had this most support out of an earbuds before except when I tried Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 my friend had and I'm genuinely surprised I can find one for $65 I paid for this Buds 6 pro. Then there is the latency, good I guess. In SBC I nailed 180ms ±5ms, AAC 250ms, and LDAC 300ms. Considering the fastest SBC gaming-mode tws I had was Spaces Travel at 140ms ±20ms, this is already impressive. I guess it's good enough for games but the latency still isn't wired experience. The codec LDAC actually makes a difference. I always find this Space Travel lacking in staging when the music gets busy, as if they are condensed onto one while so, then it gets "wide" again when there is a piano or guitar solo. Apparently it's AAC codec limitation as when I tried LDAC the music stays as "wide" and unlimited as it gets no matter what. This is the feeling I had in KZ ZSN pro being wired that I missed... There is no compression at all at audio data and so there is no that weird "tunneling" effect when the music gets busy. Okay didn't I mention I LOVE the build quality of this Redmi buds 6 pro. I don't know what polycarbonate they used but this one feels smooth, cold, premium to the touch. The case is small but hefty. The lid, the magnets, the weight are all solid and no compromises. This is far from Buds Live that feels hollow, or space travel that feels cheap, don't mention me Z1 because it's just a toy plastic, meh. I hope this lasts longer than my Space Travel. Lastly the horrible realization that hit me hard when I finally got my hand on my buds 6 is... The Bass... Or should I say BAAAAASSSSSSSSS. Remember that they pitched this as having 3 DD, well they sure did because the bass is insanely punchy, powerful, and deep like I've never had. Space Travel has this balanced sound right, well I'm surprised this one being this pricey is too bassy. There is a redeeming factor tho, the EQ I mentioned before has "Enhanced Treble" that well finally balanced it well. In the end the sound quality is powerful, soundstage is on par with other in-ear, and mostly while the bass can be punchy, the mid and vocal stays present if Enhanced Treble is used. Oh he ANC is insane. I tried Airpods pro (first gen) and the ANC feeling is similar. Redmi 6 buds managed to make any low-frequency and mid noise go away, no matter if it's a car, train, AC unit, and busy areas. The only thing passing through are >4khz sounds like pitching noises and kids, but they still get suppressed a lot anyway so still good. What I love is the additional setting for transparency where we can isolate voices. So it gives a bit of superhuman hearing for voices but less environment bleed (except fans and wind still goes thro, anything around 1khz sounds will get amplified). Overall, it's an okay buds with bassy sound that I hope you tune it before use... A ton of features for the price, nearing the software support of Samsung Galaxy buds for Samsung devices. I don't recommend this if you went after the best sounding but for best overall go ahead. Especially if you have a Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO phone because as I've heard some reviewers had bad connectivity issues while using Sony and iphones.

As far as earbuds go, the Galaxy Live buds are my favorite. They're the "bean shaped" ones so nothing is actually in your ear canal. They are amazing but they don't fit everyone's ears.

They sound amazing and have noise cancelling and are very configurable with the galaxy wearable app.

I have 2 pairs from samsung, one is YEARS old, and the other is very new. both are fantastic. The old ones have a battery life under 90 minutes now, but I believe I bought them in 2020 and have used from A LOT.

True lmao I have tried galaxy buds and they sound great but not worth the price. I have not tried to set the eq yet, maybe t3 pros will sound better once I fix my eq

Came here to say these. Sound is way better than Air pods, as a reference. I keep them in the car because I use them only for working out and if I just connect them once a week to my car charger on the way to the gym I never have issues.

I've tried some Galaxy Earbuds and they're fine once you put the helmet on but when you take off your helmet, it will hurt your ears. Especially if you have a very snug fitting helmet.

I personally like the Galaxy Buds best here with Nothing a close second. I haven't actually tried the freebuds 4 enough to comment however

Galaxy Buds. I usually wear a hair band around my head so I just cover my ears with them if I'm doing something super physical, but I usually have no issue with them. I wear only one when I'm driving or at my kiddos sporting events and two when I really want to zone out.

Out of these 4? Galaxy Buds if you have a Samsung phone. Otherwise either B&W Pi8s, Denon Perl Pro or Nothing Ear(2024).

Nothing fit my ears before the conch piercings, the closest were the Galaxy Buds and the I found the Bose Open Ultra and they are great. No pain, no having on fall out.

How are pixel buds regarding unintentional touches? My galaxy buds were great except for the fact that I kept brushing against them and de/activating something, which drove me nuts. I love my Jabras because they have physical buttons but Jabra will stop making buds in the future.

Damn! Thanks man The thing is most of them are the shape of airpods 4 which I'm not comfortable with either. The earpods are so comfy. But the samsung buds are so good considering they're exactly like airpods 4 but 90$ less.

My Samsung galaxy buds have survived three full washing machine cycles (I keep forgetting them in my pocket). I’d say they are pretty hard core. I have the buds+, but they are from 2020 so I’d say buy whatever is the latest model.

I would say if you have a Samsung device, just get the Galaxy buds. But any other device, I would recommend getting the OnePlus. The OnePlus also better sound quality (better imaging, soundstage, and seperation). But the Samsung has better transparency mode and better ANC when it comes to blocking out high frequencies. It's not really a noticeable difference.

Honest to God Every single set of buds I've ever owned makes it 6 months or less before something breaks Ive had skull candys Jbls Galaxy buds Raycons All last 2-6 months before something goes wrong I wear buds pretty much 24 hours a day And I've had a pair of tozo t10's from Amazon for $20 that have lasted a year and a half with 0 problems. I refuse to spend ridiculous amounts anymore.

Yeah I think after 6 years the batteries are getting weak. Probably 4 hours runtime now. But I'm planning on just replacing the batteries.

The models have been updated since I got mine in 2021, but I really love my Samsung Galaxy earbuds. They block noise really well for me especially if I pop on some quiet white/brown noise. I use them for remote work, take all my calls on them, etc.

I did notice my NOTHING ears have pretty mid noise canceling. I don't care as much because I just use my over-ear for noise canceling. I've never had amazing ANC buds so maybe i'm missing out. I do wish I had a android phone, my first ever buds were the Samsung Galaxy Buds. Loved them. The struggle is finding something that sounds great, with above average ANC, at a somewhat decent price $150-$80. I almost got the AV100s but I just couldn't justify the price. I'm currently really happy with the NOthings, but my main worry is quality control.

I use them too. I went through samsung galaxy buds, airpods, 3 pairs of sennheisers tw3m and now I’m using technics. I wouldn’t say they are better or worse than TW3 but at least they aren’t broken every few months. My only complaint is that a lot of times they aren’t charging one of my buds because of the “dirt” even though I clean them everytime before storing them in the case. It wasn’t like that in the beginning. But tbh I’m on my second pair of technics as well. First one stopped charging after like a month or so

For comfort, I’d go with the Sony buds—they sound great and are usually really comfy.The Galaxy Buds  are also solid, especially if you have a Samsung phone. They’re comfy and have good sound. If you want something different and unique, the Nothing Buds 2 look cool and are comfy too.

The older sony xm3's (and the xm4's albeit its not as easy) have replaceable batteries, along with some of the galaxy buds (they all use the same battery). I guess the fairphone ones are also repairable, but iirc they aren't amazing earphones to begin with. That's likely the closest you're gonna get to a TWS that "lasts". Alternatively, getting bluetooth hooks for wired iems like some of the other commenters here mentioned would also sort of work, since the IEM itself should last a really long time (but now its the hook thats somewhat disposable. Some of them might have batteries that are easy to replace, but I don't really follow them closely)

Do NOT use samsung galaxy buds with the LeGo. The sound is awful and choppy. Galaxy buds don't have the right code s for Windows.

I got the samsung galaxy buds somewhere in 2020 and so did my gf. They are both still working fine. But I have uograded to the buds 3 because of a good deal. But they are still going strong after daily use at work.

They were decent, but a little expensive for the offered features. Have you thought about the Soundcore Space A40 or Earfun Free 2? A really comfy pair is the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2.

Adult leader? Don't know, I can never get comfortable trying that, but my Samsung Galaxy Buds have been good Scout? Why do you have electronics out there? Earplugs, grab a couple extra foamies from the range if you forget some. Yes I am well aware some of you might flame my deeply held position that phones, tablets, smart watches, computers are detrimental to the point of being outdoors, and us leaders shouldn't be openly using ours in front of Scouts either.

No such thing as good Galaxy Buds. They're POS. You're eventually either gonna have 1 making shrieking noises in your ear. Or one with lower volume than the other. For such an expensive and supposedly premium item, they work worse than the cheap buds.

Not exactly what you asked for, but when I’m in an environment that I *really* need to drown out, I wear Loop earplugs under my noise cancelling headphones (Bose Quietcomfort Ultra) with the sound turned up high. I have many kinds of Loop earplugs so I choose depending on the amount of cancellation I need. They lay pretty flush to the ear. But to answer your original question, AirPods have been the best ANC buds I’ve used. I’ve only compared to the Galaxy Buds, but they’re better.

Pretty much. Galaxy Buds work well especially if you have a Samsung phone. (Features) Especially in the sub 60usd space. Only other option are the Moondrop Space Travel, whose quality of audio is better. The NC is weak, and volume doesn't go up for those who are nearly deaf like me. $27 If you're lucky to find one below $60, the AKG N400NC are amazing and the closest I've gotten to XM5 level of audio and NC but they ate discontinued and AKG cleared the stock at $40. All metal construction, battery life (both case and buds) is decent, tips subjective. If you go expensive, XM5 are the best imo. LDAC, battery life, best ANC, foam tips, vast amount of features, etc.

I've had my Galaxy buds for 5 or 6 years I think. The best buds ever and so comfortable. Obviously discontinued, but if you can find them, I would get them.

Jabra Elite 10's. Not bad. Not amazing. The ANC isn't great. I preferred the Buds Pro 2 but I washed those. Then I washed my back pair of Galaxy buds. I decided to go with a cheaper pair (the Jabra's were on offer) that wouldn't break the bank should I leave them in the pocket of my laundry.

Pretty much any premium choice, like sony, Bose, Samsung, etc. if you want something lightweight, the new Sony link buds are great. Bose has great sound in their quietcomfort earbuds, but call volume is a bit lower than the competition. Galaxy buds are great all around. I have owned a few pairs.

Yes, that's a good thing. But even that feature is not *new*; which I was going for. I've had it on my galaxy buds for a while now. Probably not as good but still. And I agree. If these can replace buying expensive medical level hearing aids, it's only for the better. And I too have family members thatbuse hearing aids. One of the main things about them (for some reason) is that our older generation (atleast in our case) doesn't seam to like the wear bulky looking ear pieces for pretty much 24/7. It's breen a struggle sometimes. Also, earing aids have some features not available on others, like ability to boost specific frequencies and also quiet others with precision.

I only have issues with my left one, and it's when I wore them when it was raining (which was stupid), and the few times I ran with them. I still love them.

Ya I use galaxy buds as well but with the foam tip which helps keep it seated even better. I only ever run with one in so I’m still able to hear. 

Advice needed! I have been looking a long time and tried quite a few earbuds. But I cannot find it. So reddit, hear me out. Back in the day I bought a Samsung S8 and they came with these amazingly nice fitting yet very simple AKG wired ear buds. I still have them and these (and SONY MDR-EX15LP) have been the only ear buds that fitted in my ears without getting uncomfortable after 10 minutes of using. But unfortunately all the 3.5mm jacks are disappearing and the adapters are always a hassle. I am in need of wireless ones. So far I have tried: - soundcore liberty 4 nc (absolute horrible fit) - samsung galaxy buds - jabra 75t - some 3rd party brands I am done trying and wasting money on buds that don't fit my ears. So who can help me find ear buds that resemble the ergonomy of the AKG and sony's I've mentioned? Other requirements that are of high importance to me are: - high grade call quality (as in I need to be able to have a clear conversation while cycling to work through northern winds) - pretty good noice cancelling. Not the absolute best though. I have my Bose QC over ear headphone for that. - simple interface. I am not an audiophile nor a tech wizard. - flawless connectivity with any device. I absolutely loathe things that don't work when prompted. Hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction. I would be forever greatful😁.

Samsung Galaxy buds are pretty solid. Sound great, never had comfort issues. Used to wear them for 8 hours straight and never had issues. Would have to charge them once a week or so.

Are there any earbuds that have multi-point connection, ANC, AND good microphones? I am also facing similar issues with my QC Ultra earbuds. The mics are just garbage. It captures every sound in the background but not my voice. At least on the laptop when I use MS Teams I have an option of selecting the laptop microphone. But when I'm on the move and take calls on my phone, it's very difficult for people to hear what I'm saying.  I was also facing issues with one earbud being louder than the other and I've already gone through 3 pairs. A little bit of ear wax and the performance starts degrading. I need to clean it with a microfiber cloth and screen cleaning liquid at least twice a week. My old Samsung Galaxy Buds were definitely better and cheaper than this. So yes, I would love some recommendation on good earbuds.

I am deeply dissapointed in the Galaxy Buds, ANC is really bad and the problem not in the level of suppresion but the fact that they sometimes differ in each ear, mic noise cancelation is also garbage, I barely could talk in the noisy environment ( like Mall or cars at the highway ) Sometimes they failed to switch off the call mode, sometimes the sound differ in ears. Very unstable, but the most annoyin is instability of the noise cancelation both in and out, I ended up using wired headphones again, planning to test huawei buds pro 3.

Yeah, I've heard they're amazing! I want to get a pair myself sometime soon but haven't quite yet. The Bose QuietComfort and Samsung Galaxy Buds have been my dailies for the last year or so and the QuietComfort is really nice. The Galaxy Buds are fine but don't fit in my ears so well. I use Bose QC2 headphones at home, when I’m out I use my AirPods Pro. Both are great but my Bose are getting on a bit and are 6 years old, so their battery life is not what it once was. I also have Galaxy buds with noise cancelling that are really good but I have an iPhone so AirPods are just easier.
