I got mine from Amazon from the official listing, which includes 2 years of warranty. I bought mine on this listing https://amzn.to/462kBMj
You should buy the buds 3 pro, but the OEM tips won't be good for the gym. You will need some IEM eartips, I used the azla eartips and they are awesome. I bought my galaxy buds 3 pro on Amazon and they are on sale right now, and I also bought the eartips on Amazon. I bought them from these listings Azla eartips: https://amzn.to/4lFIgI0 Buds 3 pro: https://amzn.to/4o51jNu
I come from Samsung Buds Pro/P2/P3 and didn't really love the P3s fit and finish. They were good performers but I couldn't shake the plastky feeling. Got a free pair of Moto Buds+ with my new phone, and while they fit and feel incredible, the SQ and definitely the transparency/ANC are not in the same league as Samsung. I also have used XM3s for a while and I think Sony also knows the ANC game well - I feel like the Motos are many years/gens behind even the XM3s. So that sent me in a similar search. I've got some 1st Gen Bose QC Ultras arriving tomorrow, they're on sale on woot right now, certified refurb for 117. I feel like they met all my criteria, top tier transparency and ANC, great bass extension, price - gathered from lots of reviews. Can't wait to see if they stand up to the hype!
B3P are not 30x better than the ones you buy off the bargain rack at Dollar General. The price/performance ratio is not linear, never has been in audio. Only you can determine where your diminishing returns point is - but seeing as OP didn't once mention budget, only longevity and superior quality, maybe this isn't the conversation you think it is.
You have displayed less than zero knowledge. You're suggesting a bad product in a thread asking for the best. I've worked in audio part or full time nearly continuously since 2005. People who cheap out and convince themselves what they bought is adequate are ubiquitous and annoying when it comes to quality audio products. And before you ask, no, I don't mean audiophile snake oil, 10k dollar DACs. Your diminishing returns point is lower than mine, and as the state of the industry would suggest, lower than what is currently considered premium. Enjoy your satisfactory listening experience - and understand that something fitting your budgetary constraints or expectations do not magically make a product the best at anything.
In my opinion, no, they're not. I don't own the Technics, but I do own QCUs and Pi8s - which are consistently placed in the same class as the AZ100s, and my B3Ps don't keep up in any aspect except slightly better ANC than the B&W. They're very cheap feeling compared to premium earbuds (or even just compared to the rest of the Samsung Buds series, pro or otherwise), the gimmicks are fun but everyone turns them off after a bit of playing around with them. Why in the world do we need those silly light bars if they're utilized so little? They're solidly mid tier. They do not compete with the best - not even when fully immersed in the Samsung ecosystem. If you like a brittle and boosted high end with loose and sloppy bass, a massive V cut down the mids, then have at it. If I had the chance to return them I would have (bought them while traveling - would have been a massive hassle). Now they're lawn mowin' buds.
Samsung Buds are pretty good, specially paired to Samsung devices due to Samsung's proprietary codec. Being better than wired is hard to gauge becase there are way too many IEMs and headphones out there and different people like different kinds of music (I, for once, do not see what the bass crowd is so hyped about). All that said, convenience alone is enough justification for [Buds 3](https://amzn.to/3GijsGm) ([Buds 2 Pro](https://amzn.to/40oC4eA) or [FE](https://amzn.to/4en1pLG) if you dont like the "stem"). They are great if you ask me. As good as my Superlux Headphones? No, but they are more than enough for when I am on the go.
I think you’re confused about why these specific ear buds would be better on a job site, ANC is really good at cancelling consistent noise, and the galaxy buds with adaptive ANC are way better than these at that. They don’t do much for sudden, very loud or high frequency sounds. The galaxy buds have no physical barrier, these style buds are functional ear plugs with an earbud attached to them. The tips are what’s important for the purpose here. You can get aftermarket foam tips for buds but I’m not sure on their ratings or how effective they are.
What I ended up doing is getting some Samsung Galaxy Buds with noise cancellation, and then wearing some regular earmuffs over the top. The earmuffs give good protection by themselves, and then the ear buds don't have to work as hard to cancel out what's left. I tried using some noise cancellation headphones (IsoTunes), but they just don't work well in a loud shop environment.
I personally use Samsung's Buds 3 Pro, and quite honestly, it has good noise suppression, and the other person hears you clearly, although it might be a little over budget.
What's bad with them? I'm pretty happy with my Buds Pro 2 and Buds Pro 3...
Can't comment on the airpods, but the Buds 3 Pro have a better mic than xm5. Sound quality is good too. For reference, I have a Pixel 8 Pro.
