QCY Melo Buds Pro , ANC, ENC, LDAC, 46DB adaptive ANC, 6-Mic ENC, 5.4 blue tooth and much much more for $35.99 on Amazon cyber Monday deal. I got a set of Samsung buds plus gifted to me, but never had any before that nor was I a big headphone person, I use them on and off here and there, I recently came across them again while digging through my things and started to use them more, learn about codecs, etc Searching for earbuds to buy is overwhelming, there's a million of them, they all say this they all say that they all sound like they're amazing lol I started doing some digging and learned about codecs and didn't have much to spend, around 50 bucks was my range but I wanted something with possibly high-res audio and these seem to fit the bill, lots of good reviews, I read the reviews on AliExpress as well (, much cheaper there by the way if you want to wait for shipping,) reviews seemed good ETC I got them the next day through Amazon and they are amazing, to say that there is no difference between LDAC and AAC. Is a ridiculous statement, I don't know if it's how these things are tuned or what but listening to music on tidal or flac songs, etc The difference is mind-blowing between the AAC codec, I can switch between the two on the melo buds and it's very different. Same with the Samsung buds, they work great and the ambient sound is like a hearing aid on steroids with the Samsungs lol but the transparency settings on the melon it's just as good, the range on these QCY buds is unbelievable as well, I understand yet the Samsung buds are old and only 5.0 Bluetooth, but for the price of these with the opportunity to listen to high-res audio plus all the other settings capabilities they are unbelievable for the money. Also with it being winner I wear a face mask over my earbuds along with a hat and a hood and when people call me and I'm out and about on a e scooter nobody ever complains about hearing me with all that covered over the buds lol Trust me for the price, I thought they would be okay plus the reviews pointed to them being well and dandy, but I mean they sound as good as buds that are $200 plus seriously.

Best Buds ever, nothing later compares, I tried all of them, and none fits so good as Buds+, impossible to fall out of the ear, unlike all "pro" including Apple's (my wife has an iPhone and specifically asked me to NOT buy Airpods for her birthday, she loves Buds+ :) Bought new Buds Core (as a cheap backup) and while they are very similar, still can't match Buds+.

Still use my galaxy buds plus I've had for a number of years and its far and away my favourite earbuds I've ever had. Battery life is elite and it charges super quickly. I will use these until they die, then I'll try to find another pair after that. I literally cannot say enough good things about them. https://preview.redd.it/48fg6paydilf1.png?width=1440&format=png&auto=webp&s=d1ac6d4980312241dfb1da23dcd5d4ca68c22d80

Galaxy buds fe have a wing that keep mine in my ears super well and are the most comfortable. I bought these cuz i used to have just buds+ and those were the dame design and i LOVED them but cant get them anymore. These have like, never, fallen out of my ears. I used to work walking around a lot and weird movements printing shirts, now i do custodial work. I dont think they're worth the 100$ price though, got mine for like 70$. You a runner tho so id consider something with the arching wing around your ear, i cant do those cuz i wear glasses and it bothers me. If you relate to that then i totally reccomend the buds FE or something similar with the wing inside the ear.

My job gave me Sony XM5s that I used for a while, but after ending up in meetings for weeks on end they were uncomfortable, before that it was maybe an hour a day I'd wear them and I've never been a fan of over ear headphones. I ended up switching to my Galaxy Buds+ that I've had for like 4 years now and it's a lot nicer

Samsung Galaxy Buds+. They work great with my 8pro. They worked great with my 6pro as well. The pixel buds that I got with my 6 would disconnect while I run. so I stopped using them. I got the latest ones like 4 months ago. Same issue. They disconnect often. Not sure why both sets of pixel buds disco all the time. But the samsung ones work perfectly. :(

My galaxy buds + are my daily drivers (they're damn good for the price), but this will be more for at home when I'm laying in bed and I absolutely want to lose myself in every detail of the sound. GB+s are great, but at the end of the day, they're still wireless earbuds, and as such they'll never be as good as wired headphones.

r/rush • What are your go-to Headphones for listening to Rush? ->
Reddit Icon
Darklancer02 • 5 months ago

Wireless transmission often introduces compression/signal degradation (also latency, but that's less important if you're just listening to music unless timing is somehow a big deal). For most people, it isn't a huge deal, they can hear the song reasonably well, and that's generally all they care about. If you're spending on better quality audio gear, (and lossless audio recordings) you're listening for all the details and better audio balance, things that might get glossed over in compression. A photography comparison might be shooting JPEG files vs. shooting RAW. JPEGs can be really good, but you can do a lot more with RAW files without fucking the image up. Virtually every professional photographer in the world will work from RAW files when they do their editing. Spotify and My Galaxy Buds + are my daily drivers, and they do the job nicely for everyday listening. What I'm doing here is for when it's the end of the day and I'm laying in bed and want to be absolutely blown away by what I'm listening to, both in terms of breadth of sound and clarity.

Earbuds actually suck ass bro i had them in my case and they were still connected 20 minutes ago the sound quality was cutting too. I cant enter a call with them in bc the mic doesnt turn on. The battery is always dead even if i charged it. They hurt my ears and i cant have them in for nore than 30 minutes without my ears hurting I would nit recommend them at all. My galaxy buds + are 30x better than these and they have been dropped chewed on... TWICE. And soaked. And they work like they did when i first bought them

It's really annoying to use the 2 pro on commercial flights or on a bike for example where there's a constant noise. Buds Plus: \+ Battery \+ Better passive ANC Buds 2 pro: \+ Slightly better audio quality \+ Somewhat comfortable \- Battery is a joke (sometimes I have nearly all day long meetings, I have to charge the buds at least once)

It depends on what you want. If you want the convenience of using the Apple ecosystem, then any AirPods are good for an iPhone since they are a first-party accessory. But if you want a ready-made budget TWS, any sub RM200 is already good enough. I've been using Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus for almost 5 years since launch, and still going strong. It's quite a balanced tuning. Right now, I'm rocking Moondrop Space Travel, Redmi buds 6 lite, and QCY HT15 (already given to my girlfriends). All have solid listening experience, but the main reason we're all going to TWS is the convenience of not having wires attached. I would always rock with my iems if at home, but going ou,t my other TWS are good for enjoying your music or answering call outside. Like your friends said, it's not worth the money since you can get a good enough function as TWS from another brand rather than paying for overpriced AirPods.

If you prefer buds to "sticks"/stems then but ANC is important I'd recommend the samsung buds FE. As far as battery life I don't think any of them beat Buds + but no noise cancelation other than the fit itself and turning off ambient noise.

Fitment in the ear is subpar at best, I liked how deep the buds+ went into my ear, and they really made a good seal. The noise canceling is terrible, I used to use my Bud+ while I worked construction, I could use powertools and listen to music, and they worked fantastically. The Bud 3 Pros clip, they don't block out nearly anything compared to the others. I am severely disappointed in these earbuds and would recommend against them if you want some real noise canceling. The sound quality is really good and I like the controls.

Fe might be the best fit in most cases bcz it has wingtips buds3 and 3 pro quite similar to airpods3 and pro respectively, but the big stem might cause discomfort to some ppl. buds pro is the biggest and thickest one, most ppl dont go with it. buds 2 is the smallest but the most slippery pair. buds 2 pro is somewhere in between this duo. buds live is weirdly shaped, meant to be a competitor of normal airpods(comfy for most) but its long shape break its meaning buds 1 and buds+ are similar to fe, but you hardly find a new pair of them these days gear icon x same as buds 1.

I've seen a lot of people recommending SM true wireless 4 and Denon is an unknown brand for me. I want a balance between good sound, good ANC and good quality in calls, I'm a casual user but if I pay for a product I want it to be worth the price. My current ear buds are the galaxy buds + and I've been with them for years without any problem, I don't use active anc but I'd like to try it, I don't need multi point and I just wanted to update them cause now I'm listening to more music and I wanted something to get attached to for another long time and as I said in the post I'd like something balanced with good quality, a decent anc and a normal quality for calls cause I don't want to look like a robot on calls. With that info what would you recommend me? Still the same? Let me know. !thanks ! thanks or thanks idk how to type it to make you receive the omega point 🥴

Until now, the only wireless buds that I would highly recommend for sound quality will always be the Galaxy Buds line, with the pros being the best one. Sound quality out of the box is definitely the best and no eq is necessary. A few exceptions would be the buds live when it comes to sound since it has the weirdest shape and fit that probably affect the lower end of the frequency. Bonus point if you use a samsung phone since that will enable the proprietary SSC codec from samsung.

Second tour I \*lost those earbuds in the airport on the way to spring training\*...replaced with Samsung buds fe which aren't as good but did perfectly fine. basically, you want something with good noise cancellation but isn't too expensive. So I've used Galaxy Buds Plus previously. Then switched to Anker Soundcore Liberty 4s, and honestly loves them: sound, ANC, build and everything. Only issue I faced with them is that 1.5 years down the line, one earbud is not charging properly in the case. Since they're out of the 1 year warranty, and there's no repairability, that effectively means that I either keep using one earbud, or buy a new one. Super frustrating issue because the other earbud and case are perfectly fine. After this experience, I'm trying to find a balance of premium quality, longevity, and half decent support in Pakistan. Because yes, on paper, I wouldn't need to ask this question. Best wireless earbuds of them all? Sony WF-1000XM4s. But spending 50k on a pair of buds that don't get any support here isn't really the smartest move. Been considering Awaaz Signature. Since local so maybe decent support? Not considering Zero because they feel pretty cheap and flashy with more thought in marketing and celeb deals than the actual product. I love Soundcore and would go back any day, but I just do not want to spend 20-30k and have to replace them in a year or two again Any good/bad experiences with brands, or any input at all would be appreciated!

I have the Buds+, Buds 2 Pro, Buds FE, and Apple Airpods Max. Considering affordability, fit, noise cancellation, and sound , I use my Buds FE the most. They fit just like the Buds+ from ages ago but have noise cancellation that I can take with me to the gym or on the plane and feel at peace. The Buds 2 Pro is nice for the features and colors, but the fit sucks, IMO. The Buds+ are lovely but off the market and without noise cancellation. And the Airpods Max are the best for sound but over the ear, way more expensive, and not as intuitive, connection wise, for androids. So I'd go with the Buds FE! Can't comment on the new Buds 3 but I have heard those are good too.

I just use my regular ear buds (Samsung buds), small, low profile so I can use ear warmers over. They don't fall out and fit the shape of my ears well. I wear only 1 when I run or bike so I can still be aware of my surroundings. Also when the battery dies, I just switch to the other bud.

I have/had several earbuds with silicon or foam tips: AirPods Pro 1&2, various Galaxy Buds, Pixel Buds Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM5. Some of theses are fantastic (especially the Sony XM5). But they all fall out and bother my ear canal. I've tried different sizes tips, Comply and other 3rd party tips nothing works. I wanted higher quality sound, but the AirPods 1 and 2 are the only ones that fit, didn't fall out and bother me. I never tried the AirPods 3, I'll try the 4s and hopefully they work like generations 1/2 did.

I would say if you have a Samsung device, just get the Galaxy buds. But any other device, I would recommend getting the OnePlus. The OnePlus also better sound quality (better imaging, soundstage, and seperation). But the Samsung has better transparency mode and better ANC when it comes to blocking out high frequencies. It's not really a noticeable difference.

I did notice my NOTHING ears have pretty mid noise canceling. I don't care as much because I just use my over-ear for noise canceling. I've never had amazing ANC buds so maybe i'm missing out. I do wish I had a android phone, my first ever buds were the Samsung Galaxy Buds. Loved them. The struggle is finding something that sounds great, with above average ANC, at a somewhat decent price $150-$80. I almost got the AV100s but I just couldn't justify the price. I'm currently really happy with the NOthings, but my main worry is quality control.

I use them too. I went through samsung galaxy buds, airpods, 3 pairs of sennheisers tw3m and now I’m using technics. I wouldn’t say they are better or worse than TW3 but at least they aren’t broken every few months. My only complaint is that a lot of times they aren’t charging one of my buds because of the “dirt” even though I clean them everytime before storing them in the case. It wasn’t like that in the beginning. But tbh I’m on my second pair of technics as well. First one stopped charging after like a month or so

The older sony xm3's (and the xm4's albeit its not as easy) have replaceable batteries, along with some of the galaxy buds (they all use the same battery). I guess the fairphone ones are also repairable, but iirc they aren't amazing earphones to begin with. That's likely the closest you're gonna get to a TWS that "lasts". Alternatively, getting bluetooth hooks for wired iems like some of the other commenters here mentioned would also sort of work, since the IEM itself should last a really long time (but now its the hook thats somewhat disposable. Some of them might have batteries that are easy to replace, but I don't really follow them closely)

Not exactly what you asked for, but when I’m in an environment that I *really* need to drown out, I wear Loop earplugs under my noise cancelling headphones (Bose Quietcomfort Ultra) with the sound turned up high. I have many kinds of Loop earplugs so I choose depending on the amount of cancellation I need. They lay pretty flush to the ear. But to answer your original question, AirPods have been the best ANC buds I’ve used. I’ve only compared to the Galaxy Buds, but they’re better.

Pretty much. Galaxy Buds work well especially if you have a Samsung phone. (Features) Especially in the sub 60usd space. Only other option are the Moondrop Space Travel, whose quality of audio is better. The NC is weak, and volume doesn't go up for those who are nearly deaf like me. $27 If you're lucky to find one below $60, the AKG N400NC are amazing and the closest I've gotten to XM5 level of audio and NC but they ate discontinued and AKG cleared the stock at $40. All metal construction, battery life (both case and buds) is decent, tips subjective. If you go expensive, XM5 are the best imo. LDAC, battery life, best ANC, foam tips, vast amount of features, etc.

Yes, that's a good thing. But even that feature is not *new*; which I was going for. I've had it on my galaxy buds for a while now. Probably not as good but still. And I agree. If these can replace buying expensive medical level hearing aids, it's only for the better. And I too have family members thatbuse hearing aids. One of the main things about them (for some reason) is that our older generation (atleast in our case) doesn't seam to like the wear bulky looking ear pieces for pretty much 24/7. It's breen a struggle sometimes. Also, earing aids have some features not available on others, like ability to boost specific frequencies and also quiet others with precision.

Advice needed! I have been looking a long time and tried quite a few earbuds. But I cannot find it. So reddit, hear me out. Back in the day I bought a Samsung S8 and they came with these amazingly nice fitting yet very simple AKG wired ear buds. I still have them and these (and SONY MDR-EX15LP) have been the only ear buds that fitted in my ears without getting uncomfortable after 10 minutes of using. But unfortunately all the 3.5mm jacks are disappearing and the adapters are always a hassle. I am in need of wireless ones. So far I have tried: - soundcore liberty 4 nc (absolute horrible fit) - samsung galaxy buds - jabra 75t - some 3rd party brands I am done trying and wasting money on buds that don't fit my ears. So who can help me find ear buds that resemble the ergonomy of the AKG and sony's I've mentioned? Other requirements that are of high importance to me are: - high grade call quality (as in I need to be able to have a clear conversation while cycling to work through northern winds) - pretty good noice cancelling. Not the absolute best though. I have my Bose QC over ear headphone for that. - simple interface. I am not an audiophile nor a tech wizard. - flawless connectivity with any device. I absolutely loathe things that don't work when prompted. Hopefully some of you can point me in the right direction. I would be forever greatful😁.

Are there any earbuds that have multi-point connection, ANC, AND good microphones? I am also facing similar issues with my QC Ultra earbuds. The mics are just garbage. It captures every sound in the background but not my voice. At least on the laptop when I use MS Teams I have an option of selecting the laptop microphone. But when I'm on the move and take calls on my phone, it's very difficult for people to hear what I'm saying.  I was also facing issues with one earbud being louder than the other and I've already gone through 3 pairs. A little bit of ear wax and the performance starts degrading. I need to clean it with a microfiber cloth and screen cleaning liquid at least twice a week. My old Samsung Galaxy Buds were definitely better and cheaper than this. So yes, I would love some recommendation on good earbuds.

I am deeply dissapointed in the Galaxy Buds, ANC is really bad and the problem not in the level of suppresion but the fact that they sometimes differ in each ear, mic noise cancelation is also garbage, I barely could talk in the noisy environment ( like Mall or cars at the highway ) Sometimes they failed to switch off the call mode, sometimes the sound differ in ears. Very unstable, but the most annoyin is instability of the noise cancelation both in and out, I ended up using wired headphones again, planning to test huawei buds pro 3.
