Airpods have the same latency on a Steam Deck or any other PC as your galaxy buds for the same reason. They will both be using the SBC codec with precisely the same performance.
-I don't really care about mulitpoint because I only really use buds on my phone and over the ear headphones for everything else.
-Buds like the Sonys don't fit in my ear well without some kind of wing tip.
I have 3-4 years on my Galaxy Buds. I bought them new (refurbished) for $63. Still going strong, but not sure what tthey're maximum life span will be. I absolutely love them.
Galaxy buds work on iPhone but as I always say you'd be an idiot to apend rhat much on those buds an they barely work on the iPhone.
What I mean barley work is the best features you don't have access to an you are using it at its worst codec so for that just stick with airpods or but a crappier brand.
It will work but apple makes it so their phones downgrade other earbuds so it's always. Waste getting one for apple that's expensive.
You could get a DAC an connect it but not all apple music is lossless that a lie they told an you have to have a certain type of iPhone in order for it to work an certain airpods if you stick in the apple famiky that's far to much work compared to literally just taking rhen out the case.
If you truly want good music dirch iPhone an apple an get an dap or android phone.
