Love 'em. The base really surprised me. ANC is better then my previous skullcandy rail ANC. Somehow I feel like these fits better in my ear as well. Really good product. I highly recommend them.
If you ONLY use with your phone or don’t switch the device you’re using often, I don’t think you would miss them. I do love how easy it is to swap AirPods or beats from iPhone to iPad to Apple TV if needed. I use the regular AirPods 4 daily but I also use B&O EQ and Denon PerL quite often. They do sound different but nothing crazy. It really is hard to beat AirPods Pro as a jack of all trades. I am also impressed with the Skullcandy Rail ANC for the price. The B&O EQ and the Skullcandy offer multipoint pairing which is really nice to have. Last thing I’ll say is that AirPods and beats have the nice feature where it will readout your messages to you as they come in if you just have them in and not listening to anything.
The rails are good as well but I will say the Method 360s sound better than my rails or grind tws. OP should definitely look into the methods.
You have a point there. I don't usually use ANC. The only time I have is if I'm in a car while its running and the AC is blowing straight at me or if it comes on automatically when I put any given pair of earbuds on. My rails default to ANC if I put them both on straight out of the case. Can't remember if my grinds and methods do that as well. I put them on stay aware instantly if they do. Edit: Soundcore is underrated IMO. I had a pair of Q45s that were insane. Gave them to my daughter and she loves them to.
The indy evo was pretty good depends on your phone if you have eq built in you can def tune these a tad I recommend their collab for sure or the rails is ok def a upgrade or if you can find the indy ancs for a good price
I'm a bass zealot and my top picks would be the Skullcandy Rail (best bang for buck), Bose QuietComfort Ultra w/bass boost mode (serious splurge but worth it), and Devialet Gemini II (if you have fuck-you money).
Strangely ive never had this issue before, ive had them sound tinny or underwater but only in both ears. Usually the cheap ones, and ones that have been abused by dropping them or getting too dirty will have this effect, hense why i stopped wearing airpods. For 175 you can get the shokz openair 2, they are very clean sounding comfortable and dont go into the ear so you can hear your environment. Ive always had an iphone, so these sound great with iphones. For about 50-80 bucks you can grab the sony wf-c500 earbuds. Great on iphone, probably better on android, these things sound like CINEMA headphones. Super clean, super comfortable, excellent battery life, super reliable connection. For 75-100 you can grab a skull candy crusher (original, not the newer ones) headphones that are clean and very comfortable, great connectivity, and a bass slider to add on. For that same price you can grab the audio technica ath m40x. Its wired only, but centered and clean audio, comfortable, with interchangeable wires. You dont need to go overly expensive but dont go cheap either. The absolute worst pair ive had (which were not bad, just uncomfortable and not what i was looking for) was the skull candy rail xt. Comparing to the other 3 it was a little muddy but still pretty clear compared to my airpods. The connection was great too, it just was literally a pain in my ear to wear them. I would avoid jbl and anker/anc, in my experience ive never had a good set of jbls.
