I used the Skullcandy Jib XT Active Bluetooth ones for years. Went through several pairs cuz I kept misplacing them lol. Then one of my half marathons last year, about a week out, was looking like it was gonna be some serious rain on the forecast I wasn't planning for and I always run with SOMETHING on (music, podcast). Couldn't risk them dying and so looked for something with more waterproof aspect. Soundcore by Anker were recommended and were like IPx7 rated, basically fully waterproofed. I tried em. They connected, disconnected a time or two in the beginning but I got them to stay on eventually but the problem for me was I have smaller ears and they were/are just so uncomfortable and don't sit right in my ears. They constantly feel like they're going to fall out. I really truly wanted to like them esp for the waterproofness 🤦🏼♀️ My last race I said f it, I can't deal with how uncomfortable they are but I lost yet another pair of my aforementioned jib actives 😅. Went to Walmart to get one and grabbed one. Also grabbed a skull candy Smokin Buds XT wireless buds as well. Not fully water proof but ixp4 I think or something close. Figured I'd try em. Well, turns out the replacement jib XT I got are wired. Like fully. It says it nowhere on the packaging anywhere at all and I ripped the box open so I can't return them. They looked identical before that but thankfully the smokin buds xt are actually comfortable AF and my race was in misty wet crap the whole time so I'm calling those a win. 10/10 recommend. So many people recommend various bone conducting ones too and I so so wish I could wear them but I'm blind as a bat and have to have glasses so I don't think I can really wear or comfortably wear any of those ones recommended. Alas I must stick with these. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm a massive fan of the Skullcandy XT2 and XT3 They're super small and pretty cheap. I feel like they sound really good. They're concealable if you work at a place that doesn't like earbuds.
I found wireless skull candy smokin' budz on sale at walmart for $10. Only commenting to remind everyone that cheap wireless ear buds are out there. They aren't for everyone, and you get what you pay for, but I keep a cheap set in case I want to take them into less than ideal situations.
I have Dime 3 and four Smokin' Buds. Both of them have reasonable prices, but I'll recommend Method 360 ANC rather than the selection you made
Idk about the other ones but the smoke’n buds are shit. Stoped working after like 2 months
The Method 360 ANCs are what I got today and I've mainly used SkullCandy products for headphones for a few years now. I was intrigued with the Smokin' Buds, and the Dime Evos left more to be desired and we're kinda underwhelming with the sound quality being not the best and the Stay-Aware mode not staying on for me. The Smokin' Buds I got for $10 at a Walgreens and they were alright for the price, but still a $10 set of earphones. The Dime Evos were $70 and for the price I expected a little more, I definitely still preferred the Smokin' Buds if I just wanted good sound quality but if I was travelling the charging speed and charge hold on the Dime Evos made them my preference for not being at the house. With the Method 360 ANCs, I find them to be a good mix of both of my previous sets. Good sound quality and charging capabilities, Stay-Aware mode actually stays on, the Active Noise Cancellation is fairly good as well. Now if you don't have something playing in the speakers it sounds like the people around you are talking through a landline phone, very quiet and mostly treble, but with something playing you can't hear anything. The gel inserts and fit fins that come with them helped me with one problem I've always had, and that's keeping the left earphone actually in my ear. I'd say for the price range at about $98 and some change before tax at Walmart, they would be a good set. The only thing I'd say kinda lessens the deal is the fact that they have sensors on them, so when you take one earphone out of your ear, even if both are connected, the music pauses. There are other options as well if you wanna drop a little more money on a set of Crusher Headphones for sound quality but IMO that's about all I would want to get out of them. But I am fairly surprised with the Methods, even if they are a reskinned Bose QC.
