"amazing, amazing, amazing ANC performance for earbuds! ... not even close in ANC performance vs these (Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (2024)) ... I, for ANC, prefer the approach Bose takes, blocking out pretty much all frequencies."
"Noise cancellation is solid. ... It's on the level of the Bose QC Earbuds, my previous daily driver, and actually sounds cleaner and feels better in the ear. ... Yes! I was also surprised by how good ANC is compared to the Bose buds. ... 10 ... The ANC on the PBP2 is better. ... Mine are much, much better than both my PBP1 and my Bose QCs."
"noise cancelling headphones are such a blessing for me. i've always been sensitive to noise and i get overstimulated easy when out in public. they give me silence and privacy when I need it. worth every cent!"

"Have run 3 half's and 2 fulls, never have ran out of battery provided they are properly charged beforehand."
"I use it for the same reasons and love it. ... I would not consider the regular Apple Watch because of battery life."
"the battery life easily lasts 10+ hours."

"For an open style earbud, these genuinely surprised me with their overall performance in sound at this price point. ... IMHO, these Soundpeats PearlClip Pro are probably the best I’ve heard in this under $50 price category when it comes to this style of earbuds. ... These are one of the best clip-on earbuds in this price category especially when it comes to price to performance in sound quality and feature set"
"How much of a difference does a little 5 ohm impedance bump make? A whole hell of a lot actually. ... we get a HUGE bass boost in the balance of this IEM, running into the mid range and smoothing out the treble. If you add foam tips into the equation, what you get is a bassy, new meta-like sound with a much fuller mid bass and lower mid range, making for much richer male vocals while eliminating Harman shout and spice. Once adapted, the set has a much more pronounced mid bass kick and texture, and will satisfy a fair amount of bassheads. ... All in all, the adapter makes it sound like a completely different IEM, and that makes for a pretty versatile, choose-your-own-adventure style experience."
"I struggle to tell the difference between them and "premium" buds that cost 3 or 4 times more, so I just stick with these. ... I auditioned these between Bose QC 2024, Pixel Buds Pro and Sony WF-1000XM5 and I can't really tell the difference. ... certainly not enough to make me pay 4x as much."

"They are also so light they are practically weightless when in the ear."
"they are super comfortable (i returned the Sony's bc of this) ... Yes, they are super comfortable and i have no issues with them at the gym."
"they actually fit (me) a lot better than reviewers led me to believe they would."

"Do you also have a high frequency noise when you're doing a phonecall with the JBLs? ... So weird that this hissing noise is only appearing when making a phone call. I haven't heard that noise in any other scenario. ... I unfortunately have it when just connecting via Bluetooth to my Androids or Windows PCs. ... Does anyone else has a high pitched beeping while on phone calls with the JBL Pro Tour 3? Really annoying and only noticeable during phone calls."
"it's not effective in noisy environments. ... You have to speak very loudly."
"couldn't use them for phone calls at all. ... Sound quality on phone calls was still just bad. ... I have to put them out to be able to make a call."

"USE THE STOCK ONES, any other tip I tried outside the stock ones, really make the ANC WAY worse, by 60% I would say, and it’s not an exaggeration"
"having somewhat of a shittier ANC. ... For the use of buses or even home, don't even think about it, the ANC goes crazy with the sound of the engine and the passive noise reduction is almost non present. ... I'd rather not having headphones in the bus and actively listen to the engine than to have these headphones and having to actually listen to the engine as well + weird ANC noises + doghsit quality audio. ... this newer model somehow improves in actually nothing and somehow got an even worse ANC even though the first already barely even had at all. ... ANC: it does contain it, but it does not contain it. ... Bluetooth buds have one purpose which is having ANC, and sounding slightly good. These couldn't even deliver on that."
"they are not noise canceling"

"But.... the case battery for me has been terrible. ... The battery life on the buds 2a themselves seems good though. ... 2a case and buds would be at 100%. I used the buds for about 20 minutes of phone calls, and returned to the case. The buds were about 92% when I put them back in. After a little bit, I checked the case and it was down to 70%. It used 30% just to charge the buds 8% each. That just doesn't seem right to me. ... I would estimate that using the buds 2A for a few weeks, that only using them for 2-3 hours and putting them back in the case drains the entire case battery."
"the case died like 3 months in and stopped charging"
"Careful with Sony, they have some problems with multiple models, battery drain on charging case, or one of the buds. ... I myself have this problem with Sony WF-C710N, battery was replaced and the problem is not gone. ... Charging case drains after listening and putting the buds inside to charge. ... Instead of 30 hours of listening I get 3-4 at most."

"the form is completely different, so they fall out all the time, no matter which size of eartips I try."
"not suitable for running or for someone that sweats a lot during sports activities, easily slipped off. ... I've tried swapping the size of eartip to ensure this is not slipped off, but I guess this can't handle sweats and waterclogged."
"I have big ears and with the biggest ear tips they don't stay put. I have to push them in at regular intervals. ... I wish they went deeper into the ear and stayed there."
Just got the Sony WF-CH710N and tried it out. Ambient sound is surprisingly good for what it costs. Might be worth a look.
r/Earbuds • Looking for cheap, good wireless earbuds with a good ambient mode ->I’ve got the same issue and I’m choosing the right model too. Here are options that match what you’re looking for: JLab JBuds Mini — among the tiniest (~3.3 g per bud); often a great fit for smaller ears. No ANC, but the ultra-compact shell means you’re unlikely to get rubbing. Soundcore A20i — very small (~25 × 19 × 16 mm, ~5.2 g per bud); comfy and inexpensive. No ANC, but they tend to fit almost any ear. Sony LinkBuds S (WF-LS900N) — lightweight (~4.8 g per bud) and one of the most comfortable with real ANC; small, rounded housing. If you want a quality sound + secure seal, this is the safest “premium” pick. Alternative: Sony LinkBuds Fit (WF-LS910N) — even more comfort-oriented. The Air Fitting Supporters distribute contact inside the outer ear (no hooks; they don’t interfere with glasses). If your left concha (the bowl of your outer ear) is very small, these can help spread pressure away from sensitive spots. (~4.9 g per bud). Sony WF-C700N / C710N — light (~4.6 g per bud on C700N), designed for small ears; ANC is decent. WF-C710N is the 2025 refresh with improved ANC/touch controls. Samsung Galaxy Buds2 — very small, rounded capsule; comfortable with good sound and competent ANC. (Not the FE.) ~5.0 g per bud; 17.0 × 20.9 × 21.1 mm.
r/Earbuds • HELP no earbuds fit my tiny ears ->Sony-wf710n. On week #2 coming from Jabra elite 8 actives. Very similar fit but lighter. Great replacement and only at 100$ us .
r/Earbuds • Best sounding wireless earbuds under $150 for rap music? I want to feel the bass. ->EDIT::: I went with the sony 710's.. theyre great. I gotta get used to earbuds again, but they actually fit (me) a lot better than reviewers led me to believe they would. Title says it all. I work outside, and am looking for a pair of earbuds that have transparency mode built in so I can still regularly hear other people.. ANC isnt a must, if transparency is available through open-backed earbuds? idk anything about earbuds, I usually just wear headphones. BUT, being at work, outside, I cant risk ruining my XM5 over-ear headphones, and theyre just too bulky. I would like to keep it around $100, while making sure theyre wireless, will last through the workday, (up to 10 hours) and I will still have the ability to hear other people... They will mostly be used for phonecalls and listening to music (of course) while working. I would prefer to not have to take them out constantly, or only wear one, so I would like to make sure I can still hear whats going on around me, clearly. Speakerphone isnt working lmao. Theres always a chance I get to the point I just buy the xm5 earbuds, but I would like to try to keep them much more budget-friendly, and much more capable to the elements, as they will be worn rain or shine, snow, freezing, etc. And I dont want to risk that... TLDR; trying to keep em around $100, need to be fairly weatherproof, decent to good sound-quality, and a good transparency mode, or no ANC but somehow have the ability to hear other people clearly.
r/Earbuds • Looking for best ANC/Transparency Earbuds for outdoor work, without going straight to $300.. Ideally around $100. ->I bought them at launch on Amazon for around INR 5.3k . For that price, I would say it is really worth it, especially if you own other sony products and want them to work together and have combined metrics. I own xm5 and am a fan of their adaptive sound control, and that is why i went with sony buds. In terms of sound, I would say they are pretty well-rounded (but I didn't like it) . I use wavelet equalizer and I should say they sound really awesome. I would say you could pay max. 6k for them. I own 710NSA variant. From what I have read, SA just means South Asia. I have even registered my product on Sony website and it was just fine. Don't worry about the variant. I guess N and NSA variants get manufactured at different locations
r/Earbuds • I'm getting Sony c710NSA new @$60. Is it the best at this price in terms of sound and build quality? Also, what's the difference between c710N and NSA? ->Maybe consider adding Sony WF-C710N to your list.
r/Earbuds • You lost your galaxy buds fe and you want to replace them, what are you getting? ->Great in non-noisy environment, not so good in noisy conditions.
r/SonyHeadphones • Sony WF-C710N's sound is amazing ->AirPods Pro 2 aren't listed but are awesome and super comfy for long periods. I use them with my Samsung phone. Sony's earbuds are also very good. Anker typically performs well for their price, but are not the "best". I haven't been impressed with Jabra and find Beats to be lower performing in terms of audio quality.
r/GalaxyS22 • Best earbuds for cancelling noise in your opinion right now? ->I bought some yesterday. The sound is good but the build quality feels very, very cheap especially for a 100E piece of kit. I'm not super happy but i will continue to test.
r/SonyHeadphones • Sony WF-C710NSA. Is it good? Please help! Good for calls in outdoors? ->Sony wf-c710n. Impressive input latency, especially compared to Buds FE I was using before. Also just look at them. https://preview.redd.it/qa86wfjhfb5f1.jpeg?width=4624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2debb4d0130f4d888cf6cda49fdd648ddb9392fe
r/SteamDeck • What headphones you pair your Steam Deck with? ->Recently bought Bose QC Earbuds (the recent version, not the old QC nor QCII) and I am overwhelmed by the quality of sound and ANC. I've been particularly looking for something that sounds decently but will not break the bank either. So during the recent Amazon days I tried Apple Airpods 4 and Pro 2, Beats Studio+, Bose QC, Sony WF c710, and Creative Aurvana Ace 2. Firstly, one certainly really needs to try the earbuds before buying. I found all the rankings and reviews to be way disconnected from how the earbuds actually sound. Awards, Editor's Choices and all that PR has nothing to do with the actual product. From the models I tried, only Airpods Pro 2 were close to Bose QC. Marketed Beats, Creative Aurvana with the innovative driver, Sony, all sounded worse than my 7 year old Phillips 2515 earbuds which I bought for $25 on sale long time ago. Bose QC play lows and highs clearly, there is a sense of immersion in the music, I could actually hear the singer's breath and the detail of the song (I used the same song to test all the earbuds). Again, the only earbud which has comparable quality of sound was Airpof Pro 2. Same with the noise cancellation function. Beats QC turned off the noise instantly. Only Apple (both Airpods 4 and Pro 2) had comparable ANC, although I think Bose was slightly better. But the difference between Bose and Apple's ANC is negligeble. Comfort of wearing earbuds also differs, but this is idiosyncratic and is another reason why we should be able to try erabuds before buying (a lot of stores do not allow you to return earbuds unfortunately, so it could be hit or miss). I found Bose to be comfortable enough although not perfect. Yet, I value their sound quality more. Overall: \- Bose makes surprisingly good earbuds in mid-price range. \- So many brands just sell mediocre earbuds at $100+ prices, and reviews are not really helpful, which makes me sad. \- Please try earbuds before buying them or writing reviews. They are soo different. Some are great, many are not. I'm glad I found mine.
