"However the battery life is subpar ... However something unfortunate with the air 5 pro is that the battery life is far too low so having ANC on will most likely lower the battery life to 4-5 hours (excluding if your calling or using hires and multipoint connection which will only reduce it more)."

ngl your friends are kinda right on Reycons. bass goes brrr, mids go poof, mic is mid and ear fatigue hits fast 😵‍💫. grabbed the soundpeats air 5 pro and went “ohhh so that’s how it should sound.” cleaner mix, tighter low end, comfy for hours and battery’s a W 🔋. under 200 it punches up. if that’s the vibe you want, soundpeats’s worth a spin.

I suggest checking out Picky's Spreadsheets, linked in his comments section. You have to go through a checkout process, but it's pay what you want etc. Out of all the reviewers with the Exception of El Jeffe, The buds I own when compared to his findings are very similar. [https://youtu.be/-nWkcwUi394?si=Hnd1VMy4PAl77QnZ](https://youtu.be/-nWkcwUi394?si=Hnd1VMy4PAl77QnZ) To Qualify, I'm a daily airpods pro 2/ One Plus Pro 3, Earfun Air Pro 4 guy. I own a lot of other buds I think i'm up to about 70 or 80 pair total. :-S including the Bose QC and the only time I use them is when i'm on road trips with my 8 year olds. I Own and have Owned, Sennheisers, Technics, Nural, Denon, B&W, HK, M&D etc and I just will no longer buy earbuds over $120 with the exception of a few. Granted, I own an Iphone, so LDAC and other loseless codecs are out of the picture for me. The One Plus 4's launch tomorrow and if they are even close to the 3's they are going to Cook as an all arounder. My immediate Rec. is the Earfun Air Pro 4, SoundPeats AirPro5 or the CFM 3 Plus. All solid offerings in the $70 range, for under $300, you can get all 3 ;-) I had the Technics AZ80 and 100 from wha I remember I really like the 100's sound but there were features about them that drove me nuts and I returned them. I'd suggest just pointing your wallet toward amazon and buying several pair and testing out what you like, Return what you don't, but there is very little reason in my mind to spend airpod money when the tech coming out of china is now almost identical. You could also check out this blast from the Past. The MW07 Plus, super cheap now. And they sound really nice. I recently got my hands on the SoundPeats Air5 Pro and after a few weeks of use, I'm genuinely impressed. I've used a bunch of different earbuds (Galaxy Buds 3, Beats Fit Pro, AirPods), but these have quickly become my daily drivers. **Key takeaways from my experience:** * **Sound Quality is Phenomenal for the Price:** The audio is crisp with great highs, and they get loud without any distortion. The LDAC support is a nice touch for high-res audio streaming. * **The App Actually Works (and is useful!):** The companion app is surprisingly solid. It has a customizable EQ, different noise-cancellation modes, and a "fit test" that I thought was a gimmick at first. Turns out, the fit test helped me find the right ear tip size and it made a huge difference in sound quality and how well they stay in my ears, even during workouts. * **Rock-Solid Connection:** The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is super stable. I've had issues with other earbuds (looking at you, Beats Fit Pro on Android) where the app just wouldn't connect or work properly. No such problems here. * **Good for Calls:** The microphone quality is decent, which is great for calls and meetings. * **Minor Con:** No in-ear detection, so they don't automatically pause when you take them out. A small thing, but worth noting. Honestly, for the price, I'm blown away. They sound better, connect more reliably, and have a more functional app than my much more expensive Beats Fit Pro. If you're looking for a new pair of earbuds that deliver great value, I'd highly recommend checking these out.

Actually surprisingly the new soundpeats air 5 pro beat the Earfun in my testing. They block out low frequency and high frequencies slightly better. However the battery life is subpar

I would recommend the Soundpeats air 5 pro. They have the strongest ANC I've tested in this price range up against many others like the earfun air pro 4, soundcore liberty 4 nc, OnePlus buds 3, realme air 6/7 pro, etc. They also have decent call quality in noisy conditions however if your main priority is call quality the nothing ear (a) would be a better choice. However something unfortunate with the air 5 pro is that the battery life is far too low so having ANC on will most likely lower the battery life to 4-5 hours (excluding if your calling or using hires and multipoint connection which will only reduce it more). Some other pairs I would recommend are the Earfun air pro 4 or the realme air 7 pro

Definitely consider the Soundpeats Air5 Pro. They performed better with the lower and high frequencies than both the soundcore liberty 4 nc and Earfun air pro 4. Another one I would highly recommend is the new OnePlus buds 4. They are the one of the best performing tws when it comes to ANC under 100 USD. They also sound decent with EQ and have great imaging and dynamic range.

Get something like the JBL live flex 3 and for a cheaper option I also recommend the Soundpeats Air 5. Both do an excellent job at being semi in ear.

if you're after stemless with solid sound under $80, honestly the EarFun Air Pro 3 is a great pick. pretty underrated imo — balanced sound, decent bass, good battery life, and no annoying touch controls (they have clicky buttons). comfort is nice too. i’ve also tested the SoundPEATS Air5 Pro, but that one has stems — better clarity tho if you're okay with that tradeoff.

Gave me some decent options to look into, thanks for that. Ended up trying the Soundpeats Air5 Pro since they’re on sale on Amazon and seem decent. If I don’t like them for some reason, the one plus pro 3’s look pretty nice, though some complain about the sound quality for the price. Do you like yours?

I have all of them. The Air5 Pro is slightly better than the other two for calls. On the other two models, they are ok in scenes where you don't have too much background noise, but the noise reduction algorithms muffle your own voice a little too aggressively when it's busy. You can hear my call samples in real life busy scenes [here for the Earfun from 07:09](https://youtu.be/2dSnlgElEaw) and [here for the Soundcore from 20:00](https://youtu.be/nA8SzBswW5w). I'll upload the Soundpeats one next week. The Soundcore have the strongest ANC, followed by the Soundpeats, but all three perform perfectly adequately. To get a noticeable improvement in calls, the standout option is [Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 ](https://youtu.be/E1Ttc1ODFQQ). The cost is slightly higher, but their use of bone conduction voice mics mean the noise reduction algorithm never confuses your voice, regardless of scene complexity.

Hey I will just say that from what I’ve experienced it’s hard to get a lot of bass from open ear buds due to lack of seal (no tips). Just because of sound physics high bass comes from it bouncing around in a closed space. That’s why with headphones, closed off pairs have a lot more bass than open pairs. However, I could maybe recommend the SoundPEATS Air 5 (or air 5 lite) as you could use the app to EQ and add more bass.

I don't know if it's relevant or not. But I am more of a semi-in-ear user as full in ear (rubber knob) buds give me a headache. So in that area, after some homework I came across soundpeats air 4 and air 5. These are good ANC earphones with semi-in-ear design. Air 4 is around 9k and Air 5 can be bought at 13k. I bought air 5 after some reviews. The sound quality is good with a good ANC. (it's not the best as semi-in-ear technically can't cancel noise but does reduce it to a good considerable level).Look it up on the internet check reviews and do consider it.

I still use the Comfobuds as my keep in the pocket pair, for the comfort, unobtrusiveness, and speed of connection after removing them from the case. They have developed an issue where sometimes they'll wake up inside their case and connect to my phone when I don't want them to. For my home listening I use a pair of Soundpeats Air buds. The music quality is better and being open air I still feel "present" in the room and can sing along without sounding weird. My work pair is now some Linkbuds S. They have good call and music quality and really excellent active and more importantly passive noise isolation, along with low latency mode I can game with. Their downside is they stick out a bit far from my ears. I tried Bose QC 2s and hated them.

Just got them yesterday. Much better than my Samsung Buds+. I listen to audiobooks and music from my phone. Today I was at Dunkin and it's a noisy place with their music and A/C. The ANC did a nice job of blocking it all out. 10% coupon at Amazon make these hard to pass up.

I like these but prefer the Capsule3 Pro+. The xMEMS high frequency drivers give my ears the shimmering crispy highs I need. More comfortable for me too. Either one is a great value. Our ears are all different.
