Status Audio Pro X buds are amazing
My fit very well and are comfortable for wearing long periods, which fit is completely individual... As far as Apple devices go... I have Samsung/android, so I have no experience there... What I will say is that I don't recall seeing any threads where Apple users are having issues.
I get about 6 hours per charge and they do seem to recharge pretty quickly.
The Status Pro X are AWESOME!!! IMO, they are rught there with the Devialet Gemini 2's.
I haven't had any issues with mine at all
Honestly, I really watched the clock on mine, but 6 hours seems about what I am getting, with ANC on. I have run them long without ANC to get a feel for battery life.
Right now, the 3 I use the most are Status Audio Pro X, Devialet Gemini 2, and Technics AZ100's.
Don't waste your money on the Sennheiser... Their sound quality is horrible... I can't speak to the Sony or Bose... I would suggest the Status Audio Pro X. Sound is awesome, good ANC and call quality. There several good options out there. Technics AZ100, Devialet Gemini 2, Denon Perl Pro, Noble Audio Fokus Rex 5, Status Audio Between 3ANC.
Depending on your price point... I would recomment the Denon Perl Pro, Status Audio Pro X, or Devialet Gemini 2... Of those 3, which I own all three, I would highly recommend the Status Pro X.
The ones I am using the most right now are the Status Pro X with a set if Azla SednaEarfit Max tips.
I recommend Status Audio earbuds... The new Pro X are awesome and their Between 3ANC are excellent as well, can't go wrong with either pair, depends on your budget.
The Pro X is my current #2... Right behind my Noble Fokus Prestige Encore... The Pro X are absolutly amazing
They are absolutly awesome. The one piece of advice I always try to share... Start with the Knowles Preferred eq preset and listen to that for a few... Then, adjust the eq from there to your taste. I am always happy to share my experience or recommendations about them.
The Denon Perl Pro is an excellent choice. Due to their size, they take some getting used to. You may also want to look into Status Audio Pro X. They sound awesome. ANC and call quality are very good as well. They only area they seem to lack is batter life. I get between 5-6 hours on a single charge, with LDAC off and ANC on. Not knowing your budget, you might consider the Status Between 3ANC, which are about on par with the Denon Perl Pro. If money isn't much of a concern, look into the Devialet Gemini 2's or Noble Audio Fokus Rex5. They only drawback to the Rex5's is their size, about the size of a true IEM.
The Pro X is slightly better on the bottom end.. The Pro X seem to do a little better job reproducing very low frequencies. Where they really shine is the 2 balanced armature drivers. The middange on the Pro X and Denon are pretty close. The higher frquencies, the Pro X seem to have a little more extension, playing high frequencies a little more ease and precision. The Pro X seems to have a little wider separation/sound stage. Both buds are excellent, The Pro X are my #2 and the Perl Pro are my #4. (#1 is the Noble Fokus Rex5 and #3 is Devialet Gemini 2)
Status Audio Pro X would be my pick
IMO, the new Status Pro X. It uses a 12mm dynamic driver for low frequency/bass. Battery life could be better though... I get about 5 hours of playback per charge.
Status Audio Pro X are great for bass, better than my Gemini 2's or Rex5's.
Noble makes awesome earbuds. I have both the Rex5 and Prestige Encore. If your husband listens to alot of hard rock, metal, or hip-hop I would recommend the Rex5. The Rex5 is a little better tuned for music with heavier bass. The Encore is better for pop, country, classical as it has better, more open, highs. Noble focuses on sound quality more than the other features. Their ANC is ok.. Call quality is decent. Battery life isn't too bad. You may want to also look at the Status Audio Pro X, it does very well in pretty much all genres. It has a really good ANC, but the battery life could be better. My last suggestion is the Devialet Gemini 2. Sounds great in all genres, good battery life good ANC, pretty good call quality.
Of the ones listed, the Status Pro X sound the best. The only real downside to the Pro X is battery life. With ANC and LDAC on, I get about 4 - 4.5 hours on a charge.
Yes, but they are more expensive... The Noble Fokus Rex5 is comparable and the Noble Fokus Prestige Encore which cost about twice the Status Pro X. Devialet Gemini 2 is also another good option. My top 5 are: #1 - Noble Fokus Prestige #2 - Status Pro X #3 - Noble Fokus Rex5 #4 - Devialet Gemini 2 #5 - Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 I personally own and use all of these. I also own the Status Between 3ANC, Technics AZ100, Denon Perl Pro, and EarFun Air Pro 4+.
The Devialet sound really good and are very comfortable. The Noble buds are excellent, the main difference is in the tuning of the buds, I prefer the Encore. To me, the Rex5's sound cold and analytical. The shape of the Rex5 also don't fit me as well as the Pro X and Encore.
I don't ever recall them doing that... To be honest, I don't recall having a single issue out of them.. I use them witha Samsung S24 Ultra and my Samsung Tab S8+. The only thing I wish they would improve is on the multi-point... I will have them connect to both my phone and tablet, walk away and they disconnect from my tablet. Then, when I walk back to my tablet, I wish they would automatically reconnect.
Is your current set doing it??? Have you tried another source, other than your Pixel??? I've never owned a Pixel, perhaps there is some sort of bluetooth compatability issue? Also, I just got a firmware update about 4-5 hours ago. Have yours updated? Maybe that update could resolve your issue?
IMO, the Pro X is an excellent all around earbud. They are definitly my favorite for rock/heavy metal.
The one thing to keep in mind is that finding the right eartips is very important. On my Pro X, I actually use the double flange tips that came with my Noble Rex5's, improved the fit and seal/isolation.
The first thing to keep in mind is that features like anc, ldac, and multipoint all continuosly use battery. So, if you disable the features you don't really need, it will extend you battery life, on any earbud. My first choice would be the Status Between 3ANC, currently on sale for $125. Second choice would have to be the Denon Perl Pro, not sure of current pricing. Third would be the Technics AZ100. All of these will get you somewhere around the 6-7 hour mark on a single charge with anc and multi-point enabled. That being said, i would have to know exactly what do YOU call long battery life... If approximately 5 hours of music playback, with anc, multipoint, and ldac on, is long enough... Then I would definitly suggest the Status Pro X, currently priced at $249. Another option that I have started sharing is that if you are ok with wired iem's, $250 will get you a really good set. The upside to the iem, no batteries... So, they will outlast any tws.
The Status Between Pro operate off physical buttons on the top of the earbud, which you don't have to use if playing media through your PC... They have no companion app at all, about as basic as you can get...
The Gemini 2's are excellent, I love mine. The audio source plays a huge factor into their performance... Not to mention, finding the right ear tips, the stock tips are pretty crappy. They are currently #4 in my current rotation. The AZ100 are my current #9. #1) Noble Fokus Prestige Encore #2) Status Audio Pro X #3) Noble Fokus Rex5 #4) Devialet Gemini 2 #5) Denon Perl Pro #6) B&W Pi8 #7) Status Between 3 ANC #8) Noble Fokus Triumph #9) Technics AZ100 #10) Jabra Elite 10 Gen2
Yes, it is a matter of preference... To me the Rex5 is an outstanding earbud with amazing detail... That being said, no matter how much I eq them, they sound cold and recessed when it comes to vocals, especially solo female vocals. I also find at times that the Rex5 can be too analytical and highlights many flaws in a track. For casual listening, it can detract from the joy of just simply listening to music... Don't get me wrong, I love my Rex5's, it is an amazing set of buds. When you get to that highend tier of earbuds, it does become a matter of personal preference.
I REALLY like my Pro X, but keep going back and forth between the Pro X and Rex5... Kinda depends on the genre.... But for casual listening, IMO, the Pro X is slightly better... Can't wait to get more hours/burn-in on my Encores... Thinking about getting the Noble Amadeus, have only briefly demoed them...
The 2 I use the absolute most are the Status Pro X and the Devialet Gemini 2. They are great for all genres of music, the anc and call quality are very good.
I'd suggest the Status Audio Pro X. Amazing sound, good ANC and call quality, battery life could be better. I will normally get right around 5 hours out of a charge with LDAC and ANC on, but it does have 3 drivers to power...
I've had the Perl Pro for quite some time now and prefer the Status X over the Denon. Using a Samsung device, I set the phones internal eq, to a balanced setting, and then then simply tweak the Knowles Prederred setting in the Status Hub, which I have yet to find a way to completely bypass Samsung's eq. The Status Pro X has become my third most used set of buds, Noble Prestige Encore first and Devialet Gemini 2 is second.
I use Status ProX. I've used Bose, Sony, JBL, Soundcore, and Samsung. The Status PROX are more comfortable for all day use. They are also the best I've ever heard for music. I'm picky when it comes to sound quality! I'm a musician. These things are fantastic! The ANC is really good! The App is good and has a good eq capability. There's a 30 day satisfaction warranty.
Finally a conversation where posters feel genuine, I wasn't sure about sharing my experience because I needed to grasp if there were real owners of the buds. Had them for a couple of weeks and I echo most of the nice things said about them, but I also have a major issue that nobody seems to have mentioned. The soft plastic eartips squeak a lot! While walking, no even a powerful step, you can litterally just lift your heels up and down staying in position and you can hear the material squeak! It's something I've experienced with past earbuds: like samsung buds pro 2 but with music at medium level it vanishes, and a bit with my xm4 which I changed with memory foam tips to absolute no friction while walking. I've ordered their foam tips hoping it wi fix it, but I'm still very surprised no one mentioned this, no reviewer seemed to have tested them on the street properly, because the squeak is really loud, live in London and even while walking busy road with medium music level the squeak is there. And it's not a matter of ANC/etc, it's litterally the material of eartips. If anyone could corroborate or maybe share their experience it would be great, because maybe I have a faulty model? (tried the different eartips sizes too, little to no change)
Yup! Possibly an issue with the soft material they used? It's a shame because the fit so nicely and they stay in place like a dream. I could nitpick other elements but frankly I do like them a lot and no buds are perfect, and of course there's a "personal factor". I do think the voice call tech can hold potential to be one of the best in the market with the future updates, on the ANC/Audiophile side of things I'm really satisfied with them, but for this price of entry it's tough to oversee certain things.
The reduced size of the earbuds compared to the previous one make the physical buttons completely useless I think, I am 190cm with relatively big hands and it's hard to even grasp the button if I go for it (no reason anyway since the touch functions conver most stuff). And the touch controls are ok, I do feel that again the little size of it make it easier to miss them (since the metal bit isn't touch sensitive) and if by any chance you have the touch tones enabled there it a slightly more than half second wait before the action is registered, I thought I was going mad when I first found this out, the earbuds felt unresponsive as hell, so yeah turn that off as it's a poorly implemented feature, my xm4 are instant with the tones enabled. This is another thing no one has mentioned in their tests which makes me question the legitimatacy of a lot of reviews. Still, I can't stress how much I do like them and anything said about the quality of the Sound/ANC is the same I've experienced, if I send them back I'll honestly don't know what to go for.
Not particularly? And definitely only in the summer with over the ear cans not earbuds, perhaps my description isn't quite clear for you? There is always a slight kind of friction sound with many types of earbuds when moving, but it's usually super tolerable and like I said foam tips do not cause me that, hence why I ordered the status ones hoping to solve it.
I did read online about it and it kinda makes sense, over the years I did experience the occasional hearing of my own heartbeat but it's random so I never gave it too much weight. Contacted Status about it and they do address this might be a personal issue, and that their foam tips are not compatible with the status pro x, so I need an alternative, any ideas?
Went for the official ones, but surely there's cheaper alternatives, crossing fingers.
Contacted Status and said their official foam tips are not compatible with the status Pro X, so I need an alternative! So weird, I did read online about users that bought the official ones with those buds.
That’s a great deal Love the Status Pro X!
Bowers and Wilkins Pi8 I paid $380 for them but I have a Best Buy total membership in case they fail in the next couple of years. It's paid off with the Technics AZ80s that I traded back for the Technics AZ100s that then has a buzzing in one side which got me to the Sony XM6. I have been happy with the Pi8s, they have been the best sounding earbuds I have. A little disappointed in the lack of features like noise cancelation and transparency, but happy with the sound. I have liked all of the flagship earbuds. I wound up getting a pair of Bowers and Wilkins Px7 S3 Headphones just a week ago. I think it's better than the pi8. I have been happy with the Status Pro X and the Soundpeats H3.
Status Between Pro: decent sound, triple-driver design (2BA, 1DD), fairly comfortable, no touch controls, just buttons. I believe they sell for right around $100 now. I like them except they run a little louder than I like at the lowest volumes, but I use an iPhone, so volume scaling may be different on your Pixel 8.
