Maybe it’s an ear fit thing because I have the Nothing Ear 2024 and Technics AZ40m2 and have no idea how you can come to that conclusion. There’s a night and day difference to me and the only reason I kept the Nothings is because the mics are good and I wanted a pair just for work.

My AZ40m2’s had the same issue, or the case would just blink red and drain the buds. So annoying. Somehow it resolved itself with what I am guessing was a firmware update, but now the sound had disappeared and sounds hollow as if the drivers seized. I think the firmware is a lot to blame which makes me hesitant to upgrade to AZ100’s. Did you buy chance purchase with a CC? I am going to look at using my card’s extended warranty option since my AZ40m2’s sound died at the 13th month of owning them.

AAC in Apples is fairly good. But not better than Android world's Aptx and LDAC. I always prefer LDAC with Apple Music's ALAC. My ears are sensitive to sound and I can hear the smoothness, crisp notes difference in AAC codec and LDAC. But most of people don't and some doesn't care.  From the buds I've used, I suggest, Bang for buck - Anker models(liberty 3 pro, 4 pro) Best sound quality - Technics az series Flat sound, good anc - sony xm5(my daily driver)

Technics az series for sure. I'm on sony xm5s. Anything with decent ANC + LDAC or AptX.

Technics - ich habe mehrere Modelle ausprobiert, die alle ok waren, solange die kleinsten Gummis drauf waren. Bei denen mit Noise Cancelling musst du vielleicht aufpassen, die sind ein bisschen größer.

Good job but something u should mention is what settings u used for each device For example in some situations the anc for the jbl is much imrovoe if u use auto compensation mode Also for the Technics adjusting the anc settings per situation can make a huge difference The jbl and technics have very advanced options that can make huge differences when testing anc. In my case with auto compensation off the jbl is good but not amazing. When turned on though.. Completely different performance... Annoyingly with the technics I find myself having to adjust anc pre optimisation levels depending on the environment because it does not do it automatically
