It's always been two for me. Before it was soundpeats as my main buds with oppo as my back up in so I don't have to wait and charge (til I lost my soundpeats and oppo became my main one til now that the batteries got exhausted after 4 years). Currently just bought the redmi buds 6 play which I'm planning as a back up while choosing either oppo again or edifier as my main earbuds
Hey OP. I have like 10 pairs of buds im addicted to them and can give you some advice. Stay away from skull candy and some budget buds from big names. I prefer to find and use low to mid range buds that performs way more than I need them too. Anker R50i NC... great buds it's got a lil stem that can be annoying if you not used to buds with stems . I can recommend 3 buds in your budget that actually add up to R700 (yes you can get 3 awesome buds for your budget) Anker a20i R300 incredible corruption Redmi buds 6 play R199 takealot Jlab go air pop R199 pick n pay online I've found that rotating buds helps with extending their lifespan abit. Bear in mind that most buds aren't really designed to go more than 2 years we just haven't the perfected the tech yet the small batteries do degrade over time and it's extremely common. However if you set on getting one moerse pair of buds the Sony c510 is the best you can get for R800 . Currently on sale at incredible and amazon for R800 unfortunately yellow colour only. Hope this helps
I'm also researching the exact same thing. I like earphones in general but I don't want to spend a ton of money on earphones that I'll be using solely for sleeping (and maybe under my motorcycle helmet while riding). So far I have come across only a handful of options and have only tested one. The one I got for myself was the Redmi Buds 6 Play for 8.6€. Small, good battery life, so far not annoying for side sleeping and most importantly dirt cheap. I have also ordered a sleepband from AliExpress for like 3-4€ but it hasn't been delivered to me yet. It's probably gonna be pretty shitty though. A few more pairs I've been looking at are Tozo A1 and Soundcore Space A40. The Tozo A1 are small and cheap. They look like they could be pretty comfortable for sleeping but apparently battery lasts only for 5 hours. Personally I want a pair that lasts at least 7 hours before it goes in the case since most nights I sleep at least 7 hours. The Space A40 seem like a great deal. Small, good battery life, it also feels like they were made for sleeping (because the previous A20 and A30 belong in the sleep earbuds category although much pricier). The only reason I'm not getting them is the price. It's touching and slightly overcoming the 50€ limit and I'm not sure if I want to spend that much money just to sleep with. Besides the ones I mentioned I haven't found another pair that's both good for sleeping with and cheap. If you happen to find one please let me know!
So, I could use your advice. My use case might be a bit special. I like to fall asleep with podcasts/audiobooks/etc. running on very low volume, usually only in one ear (the one that isn't on the pillow). I don't need the buds to stay in the whole night, I don't need ANC at all, I don't even need them to be very low profile or whatever. What I would like though is them to be very light, don't have static noise on low volume and clear dialogue and I don't want them to dig into my ear canal (so I'd rather have over-ear or just traditional non rubbery tips or whatever). And also, I'd like to be able to use one of them in both ears (so I can switch sides while not having to change buds). I know, I'm a weirdo, but I like it that way. I currently use the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE, had the Redmi Buds Play 6 and the JLab Pop or what they are called before, but none of them made me really happy. First of all because they are traditional rubber tip in-ears and I don't really like the feeling, but also because 2 of them are quite heavy and not very comfortable (and the JLabs broke) and the redmi buds sound absolutely terrible at low volume (static noise gallore). Before all those I used some cheap Urbanista airpod style thingies and they were quite comfortable but they often fell out before I fell asleep and also sounded terrible and they also stopped working after a while anyway. I looked into the Galaxy Buds Live because I like the idea of them, but I can only get them for like ~150 where I live and that is too much for me, especially because I don't even know if they fit my small ears. Also looked into the Soundcore Sleep buds, but they seem to have a different use case (drowning out noise, tight seal, staying in all night etc.). Also looked at those sound headbands, but I'd sweat my ass off in those, sooooooo no. I also don't want to spend too much on it, because I'm cheap. any suggestions?
I have Redmi buds 6 play and sound was good but After 6 months one side earbud died. Later switched to redmi buds 6 lite, Sound is good and they have noise canceling too. I bought it for 5.1K
Ye masla sirf redmi buds 6 play mai aya hai mereko, Isse pehle bhi mere pas redmi buds the and wo mene 4+ years use kiye the and koi masla nahi aya tha.
hello to every and anyone who takes their time to read this :) am looking for a new pair of budget earbuds because my trusty redmi buds 6 play are starting to fail after 1 year (left earbud dies within 15 minutes). I've been trusting redmi for the past 3 or 4 years and have had 3 lite and 6 play during this time. I was thinking of just buying 6 play again, but id rather spend more than 10 bucks if it means they'll last at least 2 years. My requirements for earbuds are these: \- little to no portruding out of the ears (unlike, say, airpods) \- comfort for sleep \- punchy bass, fair share of high frequencies too \- long-lasting battery, i need them for at least half the day. \- (optional) phone app/interface for changing whatever variables (like tapping assignations) also wanted to add, i like a sound profile similar to that of redmi earbuds. I've always been satisfied in their sound quality (although maybe ive been liking shitty sound quality for the past years without knowing). my budget goes from 20 to 35 or so. It's probably too low for anything super reliable, but I'll take what i can get. thanks in advance for your help :)
