I go with Redmi Buds 5, they are super convenient with their small factor and long lasting battery time (achieving 35-37 hours with their case consistently)

Using Redmi Buds 5 Decent Device. Noise Cancelling also good compared to products in that range. Fits and Seals ear Promptly. Battery Life Depend I normaly use 5-10 Hours Only charge it 1-2 Times per week. Using since year now Still good!

Redmi Buds (5 / 5 Pro / 6 / 6 Pro). Fantastic ANC, fantastic Sound, fantastic comfort and fit, fantastic usability (configurable gestures), great Multipoint (connect two devices simultaneously) and amazing value for money. If only they had Wireless Charging, they'd be truly perfect, but with their battery life, you can live without it. I had Bose, Sony and Samsung Earbuds too, still have the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro because I got a great deal at the time they were released, but 'sadly' I truly find the much cheaper Redmi Buds to be better in real life.

Never had a different pair of AirPods other than the Pro 2 but the ones I had from other brands with silicone tips pushed themselves out of my narrow ear canal very easily (Samsung Buds pro, Redmi buds 5, Soundcore p20i). The AirPods Pro 2 are the best I’ve had and they stay the longest comparing to the others.

Starting cheap to expensive, these are what I recommend from buds I've tried or used before: 1. Erazer X11, shaped as open concept, this thing hangs on your auricula. Sounds balanced following Harman. This is an $8 that I randomly stumble and happened to have very good sound quality especially for sub $20. I think the low-mid has bad reproduction but everywhere else the sound is great. Also the battery is huge around 10h playtime per earphone. 2. Moondrop block, has classic Moondrop tune which follows rthing target band. Sounds really good, surprisingly delivers bass enough for an on-ear earphone. The low price of $18 is hard to miss. Also happened to have 140ms SBC latency which is usable for gaming. 3. Redmi Buds 5, classic bassy tuning which is surprising for a half-ear. But anyway you get what you pay for. I personally won't pick this and skip ahead to >$60, although this one only cost $28. 4. Xiaomi buds 5. $60, this is clearly in the premium spectrum of half-ear. You can expect the best of the best and this guy delivers... For a price of course. 5. Apple Airpods 3 or 4, clearly the standard for apple. The sound while being clear feels lacking in power (?) not tinny but definitely not as good as I thought. Only pick this if you have an iPhone I guess. This is very expensive in my country so check yours. Either way this limited selection hopefully fits your budget. I was personally surprised with X11 being very cheap while giving an amazing build quality and has too long of battery life. The purpose was for my mom's zoom call but ended up being a good music enjoying earphone. Generally going very expensive on half-ear doesn't make that much sense because sound quality wise they plateau'd really quickly, getting a high bitrate connection like LDAC just didn't give you the extra detail or dynamic for half-ear.

I use the PS5 Pulse Elite headset mainly. The dongle reduces the latency. The audio is great but it's a bit expensive and doesn't have ANC or tuning. I also used the Soundcore Q35 and I think it's also exellent. It can be used plugged with 3.5mm for minimal delay or bluetooth, it has ANC with transparency and touch to hear. It uses a phone app to manage it and it has dual pairing so you can use it with the switch alongside (that features causes more latency probably). The Redmi Buds 5 have similar features to the Soundcore, but they're In Ear Buds. I think most Buds / Buds Pro from 5 and up have a gaming mode for low latency.

your hearing has to be bad. my xiaomi buds 5 get so loud it hurts above half volume.

r/Earbuds • Are all wireless earbuds so disappointing? ->

DoubleOwl7777 • 10 months ago

yes, maybe because they actually arent as loud, but listening to them at max volume will hurt your ears and give you hearing damage, op probably uses max volume on the wired ones. which has damaged his hearing so much that slightly quieter ones now are too quiet.

yeah, i have the earpods and the xiaomis, and the xiaomis are a bit thicker, but less Long on the earpiece. they fit my ears just as well as the earpods though, but your milage may vary of course.

Baseus ma10 is pretty decent if you EQ it correctly on wavelet or the redmi buds 5/6–have great soundstage so you can also consider those too aside from the aforementioned earbuds here.

I've had the active since August and I am not disappointed they're pretty good for what price you're getting. Feature wise I wouldn't say they're anything special but the sound quality and battery life make up for all the features lost
