They don't make them anymore. Mine just died and I am looking for something similar to replace them.

Wireless earbuds just don’t seem to last so far my Jaybird vista the first ones lasted the longest. Apart from those they just break on me in a few months without even using them to train.

I LOVED my Jaybird Vista 2 earbuds because the wingtip design stayed in my ears perfectly! Sadly they appear to mostly have been discontinued and you can't get them anymore which is too bad because my old pair cracked and I haven't found a good replacement since!

Jaybird Vista 2 ... but sadly, I'm seeing Jaybird is no longer in business. I would have replaced these with another pair when they failed without thought.

Jaybird Vista are my favorite…the fin keeps them in the ear as good as the over-the-ear style w/o the discomfort. They sound great too, but the price

For inner ear… I tested many. Had 4 Jaybird Vista 2 (broke every year). Now I have Jabra Active 4. Payed 60 buck is Amazon. Seriously, all I could ask for fit, connectivity!!!, features, battery, price…. I tend to loose or wash my headphone by accident… so I had many many many. These are the best for me at the moment

In ear, I haven't tried but don't imagine the over ear ones staying on when doing cardia. Recommended brand is Jaybird Vista ear buds, gen 1 were great for the gym but heard bad things about gen 2 though

I used Jaybird Vistas for a number of years and liked them, but they had a habit of dying (thankfully Jaybird was great about replacing them, but it was a hassle). Switched to AirPod Pro II’s about a year ago and love them. Definitely not as rugged as the Jaybirds but I haven’t had any trouble with them at all. Best buds I’ve ever tried.

I love how you specifically state no bone conduction headphones and still get suggested! My best ones to date were jaybird vistas. The charge connection points eventually failed on me like you mention but I got a good couple of years of constant use out of them, they survived a washing machine cycle or two, always sounded good and felt comfortable. I can't get them in the country I live in now and just have some cheapish jbls which are nowhere near as good

I had the original version, I think they've got a second version now but I can't vouch for them. I basically have the same issue as your husband. Heavy sweater and not into bone conduction so I feel like they're always going to be on a limited timespan and would rather spend less and replace. Earbuds are so personal as well that it's difficult to judge what works for one person v another

I got some Vista Jaybirds years ago and then I forget what exactly but one earbud stopped working and I called them and they sent me a brand new pair And I've had those for years. A friend recommended them.

Have my 65T Active since 2021 they are working okay but starting to see and experience battery charging issues. Had the Elite 8 Active for a week and returned them because they just keep falling off my ears during intense HIIT workouts. Jabra for me is okay when not working out and they stay on but during workouts like on the treadmill I have to constantly readjust them. Annoying. I also have the jaybird Vistas and they work amazing. Had it the same time I purchased the 65T in 2021 and they are still working perfectly.

I have the Jaybird Vista 2 and using them both in the gym and on runs. The sound is great (at least for my liking) and the fit is perfect. BUT, the transparancy and the ANC is just not good at all. They both change the sound signature quite a bit. So i just use them on their default mode. Luckily the passive NC is quite good with the right fit.

I just got a pair of the Shokz open run pro 2 and I can’t imagine using an in ear again for runs or workouts. I had the Jaybird vistas and JBL endurance peaks, but went through 3 pair of the jaybirds along with 2 of the JBLs for various issues. I’d buy the shokz again.

Jaybird Vista. They stay put, are really confortable, have a long battery life, and sound good. I use them all the time: lifting, running, walking, yard work, shopping, traveling...

Love that -thanks so much! I’ve been on the lookout for as good a replacement for the original jaybird vista! had 3 pairs but can’t find them anymore… landed the beats fit pro which are up there. they’re good but not as good as the vista’s, especially the fit.. curious about the Bose - seems like you either love or hate them 😊

Hate to steal OP’s thread. I just posted but removed my post because OP just asked the same question that I was going to ask. I am replacing my Jaybird Vista for something newer and better. If you are not sold on the Momentum Sports… what other buds would you choose?

I have jaybird vista earbuds, but I only ever wear one at a time so I can clearly hear ambient noise around me for safety and in races, for the environment / energy / vibe. I pair it with my iphone 13 mini and have never had issues with my phone battery draining and my earbuds typically last for around 3/3.5 hrs. If one earbud dies and I'm still running I'll just pop the other one in, hasn't been a problem in the past for me. Definitely echo what others have said, you'll want to have at least some ability to hear the spectators cheering you on. I understand lots of people rely on the distraction or rhythm of music to keep them going, but trust me, NYC is unique and you will want to really be as present in the moment as possible, even if you're afraid of feeling fatigued / tired / the sound of your own breath or feet bothers you or psyches you out.

I absolutely adore my Jaybird Vista's. They sound very good for earbuds and most importantly: they fit my ears perfectly and will never fall out. They come with three different size things, so they fit any ears. I'd instantly buy them again, if those were to break or get lost. EDIT: I see they are discontinued, so never mind, move along ;-).

I had the Vista 1, and I lost it at the airport TSA. I got the 2s around 2022 and the case is starting to show some wear. I use it daily, run, bike, climb, at the gym and on errands. I absolutely it. Rain, snow, heat and sweat— it’s never let me down. I wish logi didn’t kill the brand. It has served me well and I’ll be sad when that say comes, hopefully no soon 🤞🏽

I think the company still exists, but I've got a pair of the original jaybird earbuds and they are still going strong. Fully sweat and waterproof and they have a tracking option in the app if you lose them. Never had a problem with them falling out of my ears when trail running and the sound quality is awesome and settings can be adjusted.

Vista I believe? There was a second version brought out. Looks like they are owned by logitech now but hopefully you can find them. A lot of pro runners used to use them.

Contradicting others but the Shockz are great if you want to hear your surroundings but terrible sound quality imho. I have the Jaybird Vista and the Senheiser Momentum ear buds. With both I use the transparency mode when I need to but when I need good music especially in an ultra I need it to sound good.
