"now bought a Insta Vortex Plus. They use good Teflon unlike the Xiaomi"
"The cleaning is pretty much similar to an oven, nadedetach din yung catch at front cover kaya madali lang"
"It’s not much effort at all to clean. ... Usually a single half sheet paper towel is enough after 10-15 minutes of cooling off. ... Usually all there is a little oil and some crumbs. ... If you’re going to be fully cooking meat there might be a little more cleaning, but shouldn’t need much effort. ... Spraying it down in the sink and wiping with a soapy sponge or rag will work fine."

"Recently got an Instant Vortex Plus with the window to see inside. Can't imagine using one without the window tbh."
"you can see your food cooking through the window, so you can monitor what you’re cooking"

"One of the things that I probably cook the most are chicken thighs (bone in skin on). ... When I cook pork, I do pork loin and sometimes brine it first. ... I love doing steak bites in mine. ... One of the things I find the basket style perfect for is “baking sheet meals“. ... But I also do veggies, potatoes, desserts."
"we use the hell out of it for wings, salmon and fried Twinkie’s and it has never let us down."
"Crispy fries, nuggets, shrimp, asparagus and Brussels sprouts so far."

"I also use my air fryer for desserts. Using it as an oven. Mine has a “bake“ feature. I mix up a batch of cookie dough, I have a small 4 1/2 inch cast-iron cookie skillet. I bake one cookie at a time which allows me portion control. It is a large cookie. I have also used my air fryer to make fruit, crisp, bread, pudding, pumpkin, custard, all in individual ramekins."

I have the 6Q and love the capacity, but they also have an 8Q option https://a.co/d/gJ5yV3V I buy oven liners and cut up one for the air fryer. https://a.co/d/0oPklUa I also sometimes use parchment, but you can't leave it inside without food
Exactly $100 and 5* or more in my case . Huge capacity and easy to use https://a.co/d/3OHV3M4
America Test Kitchen made a review. They recommended the instant vortex clear 6 liter. I bought one and also recommend, but it's my first so i have no comparison.
Instant Pot Vortex Clear Cook Air Fryer 5.7L . Not full price of course. It was on special for $90 over Black Friday/Christmas, so it will be again sometime. Both from Amazon and the Instant Pot website. It's my second, as the first one the LCD screen failed after 2 years, but best Air Fryer for sure. Worth it. I just searched and it's $150 online now at a few places. Or the "slim, no clear window" version is $69 at Instant Pot website. I've not tried the slim version
Thanks I went to Aldi, Kmart, Target, JB Hi-Fi, Spotlight and The Good Guys yesterday. Checked out at least 10 different brands and models. But ended up buying an Instant Pot Vortex Plus ClearCook model from Myer after reading deals on Ozbargain.
Some personal feedback on this as I spent the last week picking an air fryer. Size of the fryer was a big factor in our search. First I bought the Ninja Pro XL 6 in 1. I liked that it would get to 450 degrees. We ended up returning it because it was so loud it sounded like a plane taking off. Second we got the Instant Pot, due to the positive online and Americas Test Kitchen reviews from a few years ago. We got the updated version with the window. That one got returned because one, it smelled absolutely awful when heated. Second, the bottom plate would pop up and sit at an angle as soon as it started to warm up. This is a safety issue because it would fly out when trying to dump out hot food. After looking back at the "positive" reviews, I realized they are almost all incentivized. Third and final one we got is the Ninja Foodi 8qt two basket fryer. So far so good. It's still kind of noisy, but it's tolerable. The dual basket is a nice option. Also even though it's dual, the dimensions are still surprisingly compact. It's slightly wider than a single basket model, but it wasn't any deeper. We also considered a Midea because Sam's has some, but they are huge.

I don’t know about a dream but we use the hell out of it for wings, salmon and fried Twinkie’s and it has never let us down.
1. For basket fryers cleaning the basket is going to be the same everywhere. Remove the grill and clean both separately. The only difference is whether the basket/grill are non-stick or dishwasher safe. 2. Parchment paper defeats air flow and therefore the purpose of an air fryer. In addition for foods which give off a lot of fat, such as chicken legs, the food would be lying in a pool of fat on the parchment paper. You want the fat to drain in order to crisp the food. 3. Top reviewed is Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6QT. Not the most robust unit out there. Support and parts can be problematic. The unit will likely last as long as the non-stick coating does. Non-stick coatings or all cookware has a limited life.
There have been many posts searching for a "non-toxic" air fryer. Don't really understand it. I am extremely chemically sensitive but I have absolutely no problem with teflon coatings. Haven't seen any posts about health issues with teflon with their air fryer other than the obvious ones such as the coating failing. Top reviewed fryer is the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6QT. It is relatively cheaply made so the LCD display is failing but I can still use it. Double baskets have limitations. The Breville oven style is a high quality expensive product but not as good at air frying.
I have it and the basket is falling apart. I use the heck out of it. Love it other than I wish the basket held up better.
If this is the model recommended by America’s Test Kitchen, I concur 100%. It’s an absolute dream.
We have the instant Vortex plus 6qt air fryer. It’s not small, but not huge either. The basket is roughly the size of a whole chicken. (A sam’s rotisserie often gets reheated in mine) I use it to reheat leftovers, and to make most foods from scratch. It doesn’t make the kitchen hot.
