Since 2020, I've been using my trusty old PowerXL airfryer. It still works pretty well if you hit it a little but I think the interior is made from plastic and the tray inside is rusting. I've tried buying a "non-toxic" airfryer from Emeril which was stainless steel. When I cooked something, the food tasted chemically and there was also an awful smell coming from it. I went back to old-reliable XL... I saw Ninja Crispi Glass Airfryer selling at Costco. Is this one any good? Also, any other recommendations for "non-toxic" airfryers?

This is literally like the one I have but the handle broke off.

I've had the same PowerXL for 7 years and I put the whole basket in the dishwasher after I use it. 🙃

We just bought the one basket greenpan air fryer.  So far, so good.  Just knowing that it is less toxic, makes me feel better. Worth the extra $30 I paid. We returned a Power XL one, which constantly had an odor every time I used it.  No air fryer is completely clear of chemicals, but it's a start. We also are trying there pan and stainless steel pots.

I've used the power XL and it worked great. Moved away from roommates (it was his) and got a Gourmia 8qt one gifted for Christmas last year. I LOVE it. No weird smell at first use. Almost never use the oven anymore. Dislike cleaning it but that might be because my sink is small. Has a shelf/tray thing that elevates the food so air circulates around. I think my mom got it for like USD $88 or so last year during black Friday.

I’ve owned a Ninja, Gourmia and a PowerXL. They’re all built like crap and last a little over warranty when used regularly. Hopefully there’s a decent one out there.

I have a power xl and it never gets mentioned here for some reason. It got good reviews and was on sale and they had a big pile of them when I bought it so I assumed it was one of the most popular. I was gifted a ninja before that and it just randomly died so I wasn’t going with that brand again. I like it. It works good and meets my expectations. The only thing that bugs me is the WiFi light blinking at me because I am never gonna hook up an airfryer to wifi. I have no idea why Reddit doesn’t like power xl.

My Power XL was terrible with sticking from basically start to finish. I've had a Ninja Foodie XL Air Fryer Dual Basket and some people don't wash it after every use but it never sticks and is very easy to remove just with some hot soapy water.
