Gazelle T4+. r/CampingGear • I’m thinking about living 2-3 months in a tent on a campsite. Any suggestions for a tent that feels a bit more like a room/home? ~700usd or cheaper ->Yes. About 5 1/2 weeks under partial shade. More shade the better. The 4+ is a large bag. You need back seats down or on roof. The best part of the 4+ is you have a screen room to cook/eat away from pests. In hot weather leave the rain fly off.
r/CampingGear • I’m thinking about living 2-3 months in a tent on a campsite. Any suggestions for a tent that feels a bit more like a room/home? ~700usd or cheaper ->Man, I love this tent. A little overkill for car camping (huge, heavy), but it sleeps four of us and the dog comfortably on cots. We found ours on an overland website (in Canada) for $400 on sale.
r/camping • Black Friday sales ->If quick setup is key, look into Gazelle tents. I have the t4+ and it’s amazing. Crazy heavy and the pack size is crazy huge. But super easy to set up, ton of room, and with plenty of guy lines I’m not worried about wind
r/camping • Heimplanet Backdoor Tent Reviews? ->Gazelle t4 plus might fit your family as described. Two big rooms, one of which can be a screened in porch during the day time. We fit my family of 3 sleeping in just one room with plenty of space to spare. Setup is a snap. The real downside is the packed size and weight. It’s pretty huge and heavy. But we are never setting up far from the car so that’s fine.
r/CampingGear • Tent recs for a bigger family? ->Stupidly heavy…. I’m not a small dude but carrying into and out of the basement is not easy. But easy to set up and an amazing tent overall
r/CampingGear • Tent recs for a bigger family? ->I have the gazelle t4+. Easy to set up, amazing tent. We use one room for sleeping, 2 adults and a kid. The other room for stuff, chairs if it’s bad weather, etc. It’s held up to strong winds, though i guyed it out enthusiastically But… traveling with it is painful. The pack size is huge and heavy.
r/camping • Looking for Tent + Cot Advice (Car Camping in Canada – 2 people + dog) ->I have the t4+ and it’s been amazing. Stupidly heavy and the pack size is huge. But great aside from that.
r/camping • Tent recommendations ->I have the gazelle t4+. In fact, just used it last weekend. Just got through its second season, few trips each season. I like it. Once set up, it’s super roomy and the build quality seems top notch. There’s a little quirk in the small door where the rain guards over the zipper don’t overlap enough and during very windy rain a few drops got in. No big deal. The setup time they state is a little generously stated. Getting it mostly up is fast. But the front entrance needs a few poles put in, and the rain fly adds steps. I always guy it out on the sides too, which takes time. I can get it all up in 10 minutes by myself if I’m in a hurry. 15 without working too hard. The down side is the pack size and weight. It’s heavy and huge. I’m not a small guy, and i don’t want to carry it very far from the car. You need a big car or roof rack to drive with it, and it takes up a lot of space storing it. Another consideration is airing it out after a trip. Can’t just drape it over a clothes line like a traditional tent. Mostly you gotta set it up again. Hanging up the fly is a pita because it’s huge, but you definitely don’t want to store it wet either. All in all I’m happy with it. But that doesn’t mean it has no downsides.
r/CampingGear • Gazelle T4 Tandem vs. Timber Ridge Pop Up Cabin Tent ->Oh, i fix the tiny leak problem by guying out that tip of the rain fly so it covers the door better. They want you to tie it to the back hub but that reduces the coverage. Easy fix.
r/CampingGear • Gazelle T4 Tandem vs. Timber Ridge Pop Up Cabin Tent ->I’ll second that vote for the Gazelle. I have a T4 + Hub overland and it’s sweet. Overkill for solo camping or with my kid? Absolutely. Driest comfy spot in town during a monsoon? Damn straight.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->While it’s large collapsed as well as erected, we love our Gazelle tent ⛺️. We have both the T4 and T4+. It seems overkill for 2 people in the larger T4+, but it sure is nice in inclement weather. Plus we keep our gear inside. I second the favorable comments about Core tents too.

r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->You're getting a lot of recommendations for cheap Coleman and Core tents, I see. My family has already been through those tents and discarded them because they leak horribly in heavy rain. You truly do get what you pay for, I recommend the tent we use now; a Gazelle T4 Plus hub tent. It sets up in 90 seconds (not including staking it out) and it has NEVER let us down by leaking. It's a two room tent with lots of comfort and it stays dry as can be in a storm.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Gazelle t4+ or t8. Both are the same size but the t4+ allows half of the tent to be turned into a sunroom if desired. Both have a zip up divider in the middle that allows you to separate the tent in half if you wish. Gazelle tents set up in about a minute or two and are super durable. Biggest negative about them is they are heavy and long when packed up. But I’m on my 3rd one and still love it (switched diff sizes 3 times due to my changing needs).
r/camping • Tent Recommendations for 2 People & 2 Dogs ->Gazelle t4 or gazelle t4+/t8. I can set these up by myself in a matter of minutes. Super durable. Only negative is they are long and heavy when put away. About 4-5 feet long when in the carrying case.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->Gazelle t4 or gazelle t4+/t8. I can set these up by myself in a matter of minutes. Super durable. Only negative is they are long and heavy when put away. About 4-5 feet long when in the carrying case.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->Gazelle t3x or t4 would be perfect. Sets up easily.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->Gazelle T4 would be perfect for you, your kid, and a dog. Very good in harsh conditions and sets up in a few min. Biggest negative is the size when closed. It is about 5 feet long closed, but if you are driving to the campsite then it shouldn’t be a problem.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendations ->Gazelle T4 tent is on sale right now for $279 and there's an extra 10% off bringing it right to your max. 78" tall so you can walk around.
r/camping • 4 Man tent with space to stand up ->It's definitely a car camping tent, but short of loading it into the car then out of the car to the site it's not like you're lugging it around. Supposedly the Overland bags are slightly bigger than the regular bags so it's a bit easier to put it back (even though it's definitely not as hard as other tents, regular bag has quite a bit of room) and they're weather-resistant so you could throw the tent up on a roof rack or something to save space inside or in a bed. Small price for me to pay to have all that space and height in a tent that takes a minute or two to setup (T4 Plus).
r/camping • 4 Man tent with space to stand up ->Gazelle T4 Plus? Has more of an entire separate room than a vestibule but plenty of room. Can stand up in it. Is a little large though.
r/CampingGear • Suggestions for a good 4 person tent ->I just got the Gazelle T4 Plus. It's listed to sleep 8, but it was pure luxury with just me and the puppy dog.
r/CampingGear • Spacious car camping tent recommendations for one person ->You need to look into the Gazelle T4 plus. Plenty of space and sets up in seconds.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->Love my gazelle gear. I have the T4 plus and the gazebo. Highly recommend. https://preview.redd.it/435mp8df88ge1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=647e98fa68220878af6fcc87227a384f3c784623
r/camping • Pop Up Tent Question ->I have the Gazelle T4 plus and we love having the “second room” as a front porch area. Great when we bring the dog. Still sets up just as fast. https://preview.redd.it/bv1w4pr3pfsd1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f37cd826e505fad69f914557affbbbd1741b9be1
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->I have the T4 plus and have enjoyed it. The rain fly is much better. I gravitate to my White Duck canvas tent if I’m car camping though. Breathable and better suited for all seasons.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->The Gazelle T4 Plus has been awesome for us.
r/camping • 8 Person Tent Recommendations ->Yep, having the "living room" is fantastic! I have a T4 also which I use for smaller trips as well, perfect for 1! lol We looked at the T8 originally but it was out of stock so we got the T4+ and have not looked back. One thing I didn't think I would like was the opening on the end, but it has turned out to be a great feature. It makes it really easy to clean out at the end of the trip! Outstanding tents.
r/CampingGear • 2 room family tent - easy to assemble ->[This Gazelle tent](https://gazelletents.com/collections/hub-tents/products/t4-plus-hub-tent-with-screen-room-gt450ss) is what we have. My wife and I have endured a 6 hour driving rain thunderstorm in Kansas with absolutely no water inside. The tent is heavy, but it sets up easy and has performed very well in weather. Lots of windows, too!

r/CampingGear • 2 room family tent - easy to assemble ->Gazelle would be the way to go. It's a hub tent, so all you have to do is unfold it and pop out the sides and roof. Then stake and guy out like normal. I use cam straps which are even easier. Gazelle doesn't have a 6 person, so 8 person T4 plus is what you would be after, or the 7 person T-Hex Hub Tent. Insanely easy to deploy, just long and heavy. I have the T8 (discontinued) and the T4. Both have treated me very well.
r/camping • Any recommendations for a click in and out tent? ->Second the hub tents. I have a Gazelle T4 which is slightly bigger and heavier. It's been a great addition and is easy to deploy.
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->T4 is great, very tall for a tent, does well in wind, and sets up insanely fast. It's cheaper also right now on [Amazon](https://amzn.to/4fMzrrY) than when I bought it (279ish currently). Drawbacks can be that is that it is very long and relatively heavy. Also, the bug netting is very small which is great for bugs, but not for really good airflow. It is also a 3 season tent really with the large vents at the top. Also, and this is not specific to just Gazelle, but the standard stakes are hot garbage. So get good stakes at REI and cam straps for the walls (I went HF) and you will have a rock solid tent. I use the same cam straps for the walls as tie downs to the roof so they have a couple uses.
r/CampingGear • Looking for recommendations for tents for tall people ->Gazelle would be the way to go. It's a hub tent, so all you have to do is unfold it and pop out the sides and roof. r/camping • Any recommendations for a click in and out tent? ->I was going to suggest this or the T8. Be forewarned that the T8/T4+ are both pretty heavy for a tent, but both very quick to setup.
r/CampingGear • Tent recs for a bigger family? ->Heck yeah. I have a T4 as well which started the whole love of these tents. The ease of setup and pure vertical room make the awkward length and weight worth it.
r/CampingGear • 2 room family tent - easy to assemble ->Same. My T4 is honestly the quietest tent I've ever used in wind. I use cam straps for guy lines and have them for every wall. So maybe that's the difference?
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->I have a Gazelle T4 plus. It’s amazing. A two room pop up tent. They also make other sizes. Sets up in minutes. And you can stand up in it, great for dogs and wives.
r/camping • Any reason not to get a bigger tent. ->I have a Gazelle T4 Plus. It’s the best tent I’ve ever had.
r/camping • Recommendation for Instant Cabin style tent, 2025 ->I have a t4 plus and it's not faulty. Not sure what you're talking about
r/camping • 4 Man tent with space to stand up ->My T-4 Plus is my favorite thing currently!
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Yeah, get the t4 plus. Two rooms, two doors. Love mine so far
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations ->Look into a [Gazelle T4 Plus Hub](https://gazelletents.com/collections/6-8-person-tents/products/t4-plus-hub-tent-with-screen-room-gt450ss). Put it up by yourself, fits your size requirements, 6' tall on the inside. Gigantic when it's packed but you're car camping so who cares? The price is high compared to other tents but it's worth it for me, I absolutely love my Gazelle T4.
r/camping • Tent recommendations ->I love my Gazelle T4 Hub. Four person, six feet high in the middle, vestibule. It doesn't have a blackout bedroom. Also it's expensive and enormous and heavy. :) But it's the best tent ever.
r/camping • Best 4 man tent? ->I agree! We have the T4 and T4 plus.
r/camping • Tent recommendations ->I used my T4+ in Yosemite after it snowed the only condensation that happened was on the outside after the snow melted due to my heater, nothing on the inside. Before the snow melted it was completely dry and this was after being pushed down by the snow for god knows how long as it snowed after we left the campsite
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->I second that, the Gazelle T4+ is awesome. I'm in a similar boat as you with smaller children and the t4+ is super easy to setup solo and has been very durable over the 3+ years we've had it. It's kind of huge packed, but that's what a roof rack is for.
r/camping • Heimplanet Backdoor Tent Reviews? ->Damn, didn't know this was an option. Looks pretty identical to the Gazelle. Although it does look like you'd need to install the rain fly in order to cover up the screen room. I like having the ceiling open with the screen walls covered at the same time with the T4+
r/CampingGear • What are some really good pop up tent brands? ->I have a T4+ and love it. I’ve only used it a handful of times so far. I’ve been in it during a very windy thunderstorm and it held up remarkably. The screen room is great for extra gear you don’t want to leave out, or to just have a place to relax during a downpour.
r/camping • Pop Up Tent Question ->The way it zips open it has to avoid the pop up poles so you have to step into the tent by stepping over a maybe 8" high bottom of the zipper. I have a T4 and it's great most of the time. It's susceptible to wind so you have to stake it out well and also use guy lines from the hubs as I've used it in windy Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, etc. Also one time we got maybe 2 or 3 inches of rain in a downpour and some water leaked in through the hubs. I've since put seam seal on the stitching over the hubs after that to hopefully help.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->I have a Gazelle T4. It fits just barely length wise in my Thule Pulse rooftop box. I also have a large duffle in there with the sleeping pads, sleeping bags etc. The only issue with Gazelle is in severe downpour (around 2.5 inches in an hour) the stitching around the hub. The roof fly dumps water off right onto that hub. I’ve coated the stitching around there with seam seal so hopefully they will reduce the issue.
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->Size and ease of setup. I use a Gazelle T4 because it really does set up in one minute. Storage size is large but it'll fit easily either in the back of my SUV or in my Thule rooftop box.
r/CampingGear • What do you personally look for in a car camping tent? ->Yeah on long trips I store my T4 in my Thule rooftop box which is just long enough to hold it. It also holds my bags with sleeping bags and pads too. For quick overnights it fits in the back of my SUV with the back seat down.
r/CampingGear • What do you personally look for in a car camping tent? ->Yeah, more likely to see a sale on Gazelle's site than on Amazon though. I got a T4 on sale through Gazelle's site for 252
r/camping • Black Friday sales ->I have a lot of tents. I'd say for car camping my current favorite is Gazelle T4 and for backpacking my favorite is Zpacks Duplex. My current favorite budget tent is the Naturehike Cloud Up
r/camping • What’s everyone’s favorite tent? ->When I take my two kids camping we use to use a Coleman Sundome for a couple years but I got so tired of having to set it up and tear it down that I got a Gazelle T4 tent and I've been very happy with the ease of setting it up alone in under 90 seconds
r/camping • Any reason not to get a bigger tent. ->I've used it for dozens and dozens of nights. Only issue I had was one night when we got over 2 inches of rain. The rain started to seep through the stitching at the hubs. After that I applied some seam seal to them and I think that has resolved the issue. Another concern is high winds. I have used it in steady winds up to 25 mph with higher gusts, but I had to tie out the hubs with guy lines, using two lines per hub to give better holding power, and also I swapped out the stakes to more heavy duty all metal spikes which I bring a hammer to hammer into the ground. No issues when I stake it out like this.
r/CampingGear • Best 4p Tent for regular camping? ->As someone who has used the Gazelle T4 extensively, here's my thoughts. Camping out west, I've been hit with strong winds a good bit. I have to stake out from the eyelets on the hubs. In really strong gusting area, I'll use two guy lines in a v-shape to help from gusts that come from an angle (I've also thrown out the stakes that came with the T4 and upgraded to some big metal spikes). If not guyed out, wind will collapse the side of a gazelle tent pretty easily. With this Roam tent, I don't see guy lines coming down from the hubs, so I'd have to figure out how to guy out the hubs and the fly as well, either with separate guy lines or somehow connecting the fly pull out to the hub guy line. This does solve the one issue I had with my Gazelle tent - the fly is not long enough to cover the hub. One time we got over 2 inches of rain in two hours. The T4 fly dumped all that rain right on top of the hub and it started to soak through pretty bad. Had drips inside with not a ton of water but maybe half an ounce to an ounce of water below each hub. Used some t-shirts to sop it up/catch it so it wouldn't get sleeping bags wet. The fly dumps all that water right on those seams around the hubs so when we got back I put seam seal on all of those seams from the outside and I haven't had it in the rain to test the results yet. This tent covers the hubs so that wouldn't be an issue.
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->I got my Gazelle in the REI garage sale section. That was a couple years back, and it had zero problems. While I don’t frequent REI near as much as I used to, I have seen a total of 5 T4s at 3 different REI stores, in 3 different cities (Austin, Dallas and Houston). I seem to recall they do some sales over Thanksgiving as well.
r/camping • Black Friday sales ->Gazelle T4 - mainly because I got it for dirt cheap in the REI garage sale section. Super easy to set up, lots of room and I can stand in it. My old Kingdom 4 tent, while excellent in its own right, was getting to be a chore for set up and take down. Marmot Limestone and Tungsten tents. I have the 3P Limestone and love it for a smaller tent. Lots of room inside to spread out and not feel cramped. Has held up to some decent storms. I like how the tent walls are closer to vertical at the bottom as well. My Tungsten is also a 3P, but I picked up their Switchback fly for it, so now I have a huge vestibule big enough to sit in if I am using a small chair like a Flexlite or Helinox. Big Agnew Wyoming Trail 2. This is the first version, so several years old now. I got it for cheap when it was discontinued. While calling it a 2P tent is a stretch - my fat butt and 25” pad takes up most of the room, that huge stand up vestibule it nice. I can also sit up easily inside the mesh tent without worry. It could be a bit bigger, which they did solve in the new model, but no way am I spending that kind of coin on an incremental upgrade.
r/camping • What’s everyone’s favorite tent? ->Completely different rainfly. The gazelle clips to the center wall hubs. The roam appears to be larger and extends further down, but does require it to be guyed out. The roam looks to have less headroom when entering with the fly on. Considering how awkward these doors are to begin with I think it would frustrate me further. I guy out my walls from the center hub, which helps it hold up to wind. Has to be a really strong gust to pop a wall in. Nice that it includes an upgraded bag along with a footprint, but it lacks the removable floor of the gazelle, plus being lighter material. Couple years ago Academy even sold a knockoff under their Magellan brand, I think theirs was around $300.
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->Yeah. That’s a dream. I have the T4 Overland. The extras are so worth the cost. I hope you find something that works well for you.
r/camping • What’s your favorite comfort tent? ->The regular stakes are just as bad as you would expect. The overland edition has fantastic stakes. They’re tough and I could even hammer them into some solid Ontario ice. Not too far, but they took the punishment.
r/camping • What’s your favorite comfort tent? ->Glad to help. Also, on top of good stakes and a perfectly sized ground tarp, the overland editions come with a weatherproof bag, which easily fits all the parts in.
r/camping • What’s your favorite comfort tent? ->Gazelle hub tent. It’s super easy to put up. Spacious. I can stand up in it.
r/camping • What’s your favorite comfort tent? ->Not canvas, but I adore my Gazelle hub tent. It’s sturdy and comfortable. I got the 4 person overland edition. I can fit a huge cot (Cabela’s largest) with room for plenty of other stuff. The only drawback for me in my 2-door Jeep is that it packs up fairly big. The overland edition comes with a more weatherproof bag, so I’m planning on putting it on a roof rack to save space. That would probably be a consideration for a sedan also, maybe. Fantastic tent overall.
r/camping • Long Term Car Camping Tent ->My only addition here is that the overland edition has some good add-ons. Never regretted the upgrade. The tent is amazing.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->A few have mentioned it already but I have to absolutely say the Gazelle T4 is amazing! I like being able to stand up and it’s big enough for a queen cot and you can still walk around it. Winter camped in it bad weather camped and it’s been great! 2 minute setup and a big bag so it’s very easy to get back in. Draw back is its big and expensive but for me totally worth it
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Gazelle T4! I can set it up in 2 minutes!
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->Yes! I have the overland too and the included footprint and stakes are great.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->Every time we set the gazelle up someone asks about it. I think 3 or 4 couples have bought one after seeing ours. T4 is perfect for a couple with a dog. Air mattress or two cot setup would work great and there are two doors so you don’t have to step over each other to use the head in the middle of the night.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->It’s so easy to put up and take down. And the 4 person tent is super spacious. I’ve had one for about 7 years now and it has inspired several of our friends to get one. The 4 person tent is still too big to put in a trunk when it’s folded down… it’s easier to manage strapped to a roof rack, but the 3 person version will fit in the back of a midsize suv just fine.
r/camping • Tent you can stand in comfortably ->I have one, maybe an older model because it’s a different pattern. I haven’t had the leaky rain fly as others mentioned, even in some pretty heavy rains. It doesn’t pack up small at all though. I haven to put a seat down in my Outback to fit it in the trunk. I’ve considered strapping it to the roof rack to save room. My wife and I love it though. So easy to put up and take down. The floor and the walls didn’t have condensation all over like cheaper tents. Having windows on all four walls is my favorite to appease my anxiety, no blind spots. Just don’t expect to hike in very far with it. It is long and heavy.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I went from an ultralight backpacking setup to Gazelle overland tent. The 4p one is huge. I can stand, sleep 6 backpack style, fits a queen sized blow up. It's only 34lbs but has such a great carry strap it feels super light.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->I have the orange version, used in Vermont last fall, pouring rain all night, I was completely dry inside. https://preview.redd.it/dfrt3wgyuaoe1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02a5cb29f15c968124d0e921bc68398125ddc0be
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I got a big tent and I love it so much. It's more about the height than the width though. I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it. Such a breeze to put up too. 4 person Gazelle HUB tent.
r/camping • Any reason not to get a bigger tent. ->Came here to say the same. I love my 4 person Gazelle. Easy to put up / take down & plenty of room for glamping. I use mine when car camping & outfit it with a cot, memory foam pad, bedding, wire drawer dresser from costco, small table, chair and a rug. lol, it’s a lot and I only do it if staying 3+ nights but so much fun. BTW, the Gazelle is super stable when staked out. Was camping once and crazy winds kicked up. Friend in RTT had to close it and other friends smaller tent was blowing flat over. We played cards all afternoon in the Gazelle, no problem.
r/camping • Tent you can stand in comfortably ->Looks like the roam has a bigger fly, I don’t see that it has a removable tub that the gazelle has (big selling point for me buying such and expensive tent) the stakes are definitely heavier duty gazelle stakes suck
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->Have you looked into the Gazelle tents? I have a T4 and love it. It's a bit on the heavy side but if you're overlanding it will fit the bill nicely. [https://gazelletents.com/collections/best-sellers/products/t4-hub-tent-overland-edition](https://gazelletents.com/collections/best-sellers/products/t4-hub-tent-overland-edition)
r/overlanding • Tent Recommendations ->I have the 4 person gazelle, love it. I had some bugs get in but I think I left the door open. No issues with rain and it’s literally setup in 30 seconds
r/CampingGear • 2 room family tent - easy to assemble ->I have a Gazelle 4x4 tent with one of the burliest floor systems I’ve encountered. Even if I paid retail I would be happy.
r/overlanding • [deleted by user] ->I second this. I have a T4 as well. It can be deployed in about 3 minutes. It's large enough on the inside to fit you, your child, and your dog. I've only camped in it in a rain twice. One was a friendly little shower, the other was a flash flood. In both instances, rain never infiltrated the tent. I will say that during a brief lull in the storm, I put my canopy over the T4 for insurance. As stated, it's a handful once packed up. The fact that it's made of heavy duty materials is both good and bad. The benefits outweigh the negatives IMO. It probably weighs about 35lbs and is a good 65" in length. I have a pickup, but I can easily fit it in my wife's Highlander.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendations ->I bought mine over a year ago, and no regrets. It feels like a small cabin instead of a tent. Goes up in a flash, and after some trial-and-error, I can repack it pretty quickly, too. I'm 5'11 and I can stand up in it fully.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Giselle T4. It’s the only way to car camp and I can stand in it at 6’2” great for cots and sets up in under 3 min including stake out time. Take down is just as fast and it fits in its storage bag with out much fuss. Been in some nasty weather and is excellent.
r/camping • Recommendations for a tent for two cots ->Oh it’s not small packed at all!!! A true car camping tent. But it’s great quality never leaks and set up in under 90 seconds 120 if you putting in stakes. Is great. I have about 5-6 tents now and do far more backpacking than car camping these days but. But when my son was in cub scouts it was a dream. Now that he is in boy scouts I use it so much less. Still for what it does it does super well
r/camping • Recommendations for a tent for two cots ->gazelle T4 - heavy as hell but it sets up in 60 seconds I can stand up inside 6’2” Enough roof for four people enough zip open windows for summer ventilation and robust enough for snow on top
r/CampingGear • Looking for recommendation on all season four person tent for scouts ->I’m 6’2 and T4 is good for me. Welcome back to the woods !! My ex disliked camping also.
r/CampingGear • Looking for recommendations for tents for tall people ->To be fair if it’s at all warm outside you will not want to be in your tent. You want to use your tent to sleep in. I have a gazelle t4, and even though yes, I can stand inside of it. You are probably gonna have your bed in the middle of it where it’s the tallest. So you are either standing on your bed, which will be wobbly or you will be leaning up against the side trying to change.
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations for tall guy ->Gazelle t3 or the 4. Awesome tents and extremely easy to put up alone. The biggest drawback is you will need to mount to the rails on your vehicle. Unless you got a pickup.
r/CampingGear • Spacious car camping tent recommendations for one person ->Gazelle t4, sets up in seconds and can be done on your own. The biggest problem with it is that folded up. It’s so long that you pretty much need to put it on the roof of your vehicle on your crossbars. go away. Edit: lol I didn’t say go away! Damn voice to text, I’m not editing it out because I think it’s funny
r/CampingGear • Recommendations for a 4+ person tent that's simple but robust and under $300? ->Gazelle t4!!! On sale through REI for 300 right now! My husband is 6’5” and he can stand straight up in the middle! Only has to crouch a teensy bit at the sides. And boyyyyy is it a breeze to set up. Takes me 10 minutes by myself to set up. I have no idea why this tent isn’t talked about more. Plus their warranty and customer service is freakin TOP NOTCH!
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations for tall guy ->I will say that I have two Gazelle hub tents and never had a problem with this. There is a small gap where the main zipper meets the bottom but even after a week camping, it is no more the usual bugs than in regular tents.
r/camping • Space Acacia, Gazelle, and other Modern Quick Setup Tents? ->I have this one and the double. We have had no issues of leaking in the rain/thunderstorm. I never noticed any more bugs than we had in other tents. We love them due to the ease of putting up and taking down!
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I think it’s worth it. Especially if you camp no matter the conditions. It’s nice to have a comfy spot to hang out in and move around if it’s really cold or rainy. My family currently uses the gazelle T4 and it gives us enough room to include a small table for games.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->We also have this tent and I (6') and my wife (6'1") are both able to stand up in it.
r/camping • 4 Man tent with space to stand up ->I just wish it wasn't so fucking heavy and bulky when it stores...
r/camping • 4 Man tent with space to stand up ->I use a gazelle hub tent.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->T3x gazelle is fine or whatever smallest option of gazelle. I have t4 and it easily fits two adults with double sleeping pad (room to stand and change huge upgrade from my old coleman), gear, pad for medium sized dog and room to run a diesel heater tube no problem.
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations ->I have the Gazelle T4 Overlander and absolutely love it. It is quiet, quick to set up, and easily packs away. We are unable to use an RTT because my wife had a knee replacement and can not climb a ladder, and after doing a lot of research, we opted for the Gazelle. Takes less than 90 seconds to set up and take down.
r/overlanding • Roam’s Drifter Tent ->Gazelle would be exactly what you're looking for. I have the T4 and absolutely love it. The only downside is the size when packed up
r/CampingGear • Tent Recommendation ->Yeah the bigger ones get pretty pricey. I think I paid $270 for mine, If you're patient they go on sale often enough. I was actually camping last year and there was a tornado warning, it was quite a scary situation I never even thought about what I'd do in that situation. Thankfully we didn't get much of a storm where I was at
r/CampingGear • Tent Recommendation ->You can get them much cheaper than the gazelle website, they're currently $300 on Amazon not on sale
r/CampingGear • Tent Recommendation ->Gazelle t3/t4. Extremely easy to put it up and put it back in the bag. Only downside is the size when packed up
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->I never had a worry that mine would collapse, but like the other guy said you can tie down the walls so it can't collapse if need be. It's pretty sturdy
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->I've never had a problem with the Velcro on my tent, Or had any bugs. Maybe try giving your tent a permethrin treatment?
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->I third the Gazelle T4. It just makes it easy. Only thing is that I have to throw it on my roof rack since I have too much other gear in my car.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->The T4 is very easy to set up (I’ve done it myself in about three minutes l), very roomy, and fits easily in the storage bag (I can’t say this for most of the tents I’ve owned). The only issue your fiancé may have is with the door, which is triangular-shaped and a few inches of the ground.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->Same. We love our Gazelle T4! I didn’t know there was one with a screened in area!!
r/camping • Best pop up tent? ->We really like the Gazelle four person tent. It POPS UP which is freaking awesome when camping with kids. It’s tall (standable) and sturdy.
r/camping • What’s everyone’s favorite tent? ->For a while I had a Bushnell 9-Person Instant Cabin Tent. It's a solid tent that treated my SO and myself well. The biggest downside, heat retention. It is very tough retaining heat in such a large tent. Cold temp camping was a test in how many blankets we could take. It got old, and even though I liked that tent, we went smaller. Gazelle T4.
r/camping • Tent recommendations ->I have one and love it. 100% worth the investment. Best tent I have ever owned and will probably be the last tent I will ever need or want. The only downside to me is the packed size, it's fkn big, You really need to be sure you can fit it in your car or be prepared to strap it to the top. When I had a Jeep, it BARELY fit! Bottom right corner. When I shut the tailgate, it would nudge it and that was having to move the passenger seat up as far as I could and still be able to sit in the seat. https://preview.redd.it/bzxbpveby8oe1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fede1d206d04f2f76db8424f42debfbed846d4ee
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Another vote for gazelle. It’s nearly a cabin experience.
r/camping • What’s your favorite comfort tent? ->As a happy Gazelle T4 owner for a family of 4 this is a good mention. It's our 3rd favorite out of about 10 tents floating around in the garage. That's still high praise. We've used this one more times than I can count. OP should look into this and the larger variations. Look around for the cheapest prices, especially if you're flexible on color. The T4 is a tight fit inside for a family of four. There's also no stove jack nor would I ever install one. In winds, you'll want to stake down the sides or they'll blow in (this is from the experience). The rain fly has been adequate enough but we've not had it out in a driving rain. It doesn't pack well since it's mostly pitched even when packed. You'll need a vehicle with enough length somewhere to transport it. For the good parts, pitching this tent has got to be one of the easiest ever. Maybe a couple minutes to pop open, stake down the corners and done. Adding the rain fly takes just a bit more and if it's windy, line out and stake down the sides when you get a few more minutes. Even one of my kids say it's the easiest tent to pitch ever. It's our go-to if our campout will be for only a night or two in decent weather. I've even used it when it's just me because it's so darn easy to pitch. We've had ours for 4 years now and it'll easily make it another 4 years. Our family rates the Gazelle tent 3rd because we've had a Kodiak Flex-Bow style canvas tent for 10 years now. I'd guess this one takes 10 minutes to set up, including staking it. This canvas tent handles rain better, and in high winds the flapping is low pitched rather than high pitched noises and gives us double the space inside. I expect this tent will last another 10 or 20 years. It's double your budget, but I bet this tent would last 2 or 3 times as long as the Gazelle and have more space for family and pets. If you wait until Black Friday and it's like last year, expect some nice discounts.
r/camping • Tent upgrades? ->Family of 4 loves our orange T4 Gazelle. They call it the pumpkin. It's our 3rd favorite tent. It's a tight fit for the 4 of us but it's fun. The favorites in order are the Kodiak 12x16 tent especially with the stove in it. And then the Kodiak 10x14 flex bow when it's not so cold or for a quick overnight. Fast to set up and plenty of room. Edit to add. Should have mentioned. We have at least a dozen tents including a few more family tents. It's fun to mix it up especially based on the length of camp, weather, site pad, etc. For example, that Gazelle T4 is useful when the site pad can't accommodate the canvas tents.
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations ->Car camping I'm bringing the Gazelle T4. Easy set up, easy tear down. Loads of room. Can stand up straight. Backpacking, I'm bringing the Big Agnes Copper Spur. Light, roomy, breathable.
r/camping • What’s everyone’s favorite tent? ->I am a very big fan of my Gazelle T4 tent. It sets up so fast. The Plus version basically doubles the space with a screened in area.
r/camping • Best pop up tent? ->Dude, yeah. I took it solo a few months ago. I set up a table and chair inside and spent a lot of time just chilling in the tent.
r/camping • Best pop up tent? ->+1. I love my T4. So much room and the storage nets are great. Sometimes I just put a chair inside, open all the windows, and just vibe in my orange home away from home.
r/camping • Anyone have this tent? ->I bought a Gazelle T4 this year and it's only me and my partner. It's the best. I love being able to just chill in it, just the two of us, as we wind down for the night. Big ol mattress, a small table, and a chair with plenty of room for our bags.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->My only gripe with my gazelle is the slightly awkward doors
r/camping • Best pop up tent? ->I have a t4 and setup/breakdown is a 10/10, but it is very heavy and huge when packed up so it’s pretty much only for drive to camp sites. Also the floor is velcrod on and is not airtight, so tons of bugs always get in at night
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->i used to use a half dome, loved it easy setup roomy for a 2 person, easy find a flat clear spot. Now the wife glamps with an air mattress in a gazelle T4. T4 is worth the money if you want a big tent the size of a 10 sleeper, and can fit a 6ft tent in your vehicle.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->How many people are you traveling with? If it's just you, or you and another person who is not huge, just setup a sleeping platform in the 4Runner. Tents that setup on the ground but attach the the vehicle have always felt kinda gimmicky to me, and to some degree the worst of both worlds. If you don't sleep in the rig just get a quality fast deploy ground tent like the Gazelle.
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->This is the way. I go camping alone and take my T-4. I love the space. Be able to stand up. Etc.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->The gazelle t4 with an Exped mattress is too legit. Literally the best setup I’ve ever had for overlanding/car camping.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->We use a 6-person tent for two adults and a dog when we car camp. We got one tall enough that we can stand up in to change clothes. We have a Bass Pro Alaskan Dome (heavy, but awesome) and a Gazelle T-4 (Long when folded up). We use both regularly. Having extra space to move is so nice.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->No. I ended up getting the Gazelle T4. They were having a sale plus I had a bunch of money on the Shop app so I couldn’t pass it up.
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations ->I REALLY like my Gazelle T4. Plan to get a T4 plus for the kids for next season.
r/CampingGear • Tent recommendations ->I also have seperate setups for backpacking vs car camping. Nowadays ultralight backpacking gear is so expensive and thin, that using it for car camping is a waste of its limited durability. These thin materials only have a finite lifespan on them. Given your height, a Gazelle T3 or T4 would work well, those style of tents will have the highest headroom and usable space. They pack up pretty large though, so it depends on your vehicle space.
r/CampingGear • Spacious car camping tent recommendations for one person ->We have a Gazelle T4, pops up in a few minutes. I'm a 6'3" fatty and my normal size wife and I can easily share the space. Kinda pricey at around $400, but it's going to last us 20 years!
r/camping • Tent recommendations ->Gazelle gang. Will 2nd the awkwardness on the doors for the regular T4 but it’s made my camping setup so much more enjoyable. It’s huge for me as well even at 5’7” that I’m able to stand up to get dressed. Another perk is that it’s not too much tent that you’d feel like you’re wasting the extra space if you’re solo.
r/camping • Best pop up tent? ->I have the t4 and its also probably too heavy
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->I'll second a Gazelle T4, but just understand the door opening may be difficult for a disabled person to negotiate. It is quite long folded up as mentioned above.
r/camping • Best pop-up tent? ->If you want easier setup I would recommend the Gazelle T3 or T4 (depending on your size preference). Super easy to setup and very well built for price.
r/camping • Anyone have this tent? ->+1 for Gazelle tents, I've had a T4 for almost 5 years now and it's been a great buy. I also drive a 5th gen 4Runner, it fits if I fold down the rear seats but I choose to store it on the roof using [these mounts](https://americanadventurelab.com/product/sleeper-keeper-large-tent-mount/?srsltid=AfmBOooiDgTGjoE3bxL1eS9r4_EgZ9U6xMuKEQDn_h-xZn5oMU2oCnDB).
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->Highly recommend the Gazelle T4, I've been using it for ~5 years now and it's holding up great. It is large when packed, so make sure you have room. In my 4Runner I throw it up on the roof.
r/overlanding • Tent Recommendations ->+2 on the Gazelle. Easy up and down plus plenty of space. I also have the T4 and love that I can stand in it, I’m 5’8”.
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->I’ll also vouch for the gazelle tents. The only slight issue I have isn’t with the tent, but having a large enough indoor area to set it up at home when I get back from camp in the winter to let it dry out 😂 At 6’3 I can comfortably stand up inside the T4.
r/overlanding • Car Tent Recommendations? ->When the weather absolutely will not let me use my hammocks, we have a Gazelle T4. I’m 6’3 and can stand up in it. Only downside is it does not break down to be very small. I carry it on my roof rack on my crosstrek 😆
r/CampingGear • Tent to stand up in ->The gazelle T-4 hub tents are awesome. Tons of room, can stand up, extremely easy to set up
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Wife and I had a 2 person tent and bought a Gazelle T4. It’s a 4 person tent that you can stand up and it sets up in about a minute. We love it.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->Depends how much space you have, but I’m a huge fan of Gazelle. T4 tent goes up and down quick and holds fast in strong wind when properly anchored. We also have a G6 that we use for a kitchen or hanging out. Big enough for 6-8 adult chairs with fire pit and it’s screened.
r/camping • Love camping- Hate bugs; Need tent recommendations ->Gazelle T4 Instant Tent. Just note that the quality on these is hit or miss. Just about anything from Alps Mountaineering. I have a full fly on my 4 season and a smaller fly on my 3 season.
r/overlanding • Tent Recommendations ->sheesh, what's taking you so long! haha. I think I can do it in only 120 seconds. Joking aside: the ONLY thing I do not like about my T4 is that the door has a high threshold and a low overhead clearance for my drunk 6'3" sasquatch body.
r/camping • Popup tent recommendation, 4persons ->This tent can be set up in less than 90 seconds, making it very quick and easy.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I've had mine for 8 to 10 years now. Probably my best camping investment. It's easy to setup. I like the full walls. It keeps the breeze out but a big gust can fold the wall in.. So plan accordingly. I haven't had a leak yet. I've had it in some nasty high Sierra weather and it held up well. Very sturdy construction. It came in handy on some of our overland trips. My biggest issues are the size and how dirty I get while muscling it back in the bag. It's about the size of 12 by 12 popup shelter folded up. I see them out a lot now. I've used it over a hundred nights at this point.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Started with the t3 and liked it so much I got a T4 as well.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I hate setting up camp. So this was a big win for me, because I can have this setup in just a few minutes. I can take it down in about 2 minutes as well. I haven't had issues with bugs, I make sure the floor is attached well with the velcro. Lots of space, but there are draw backs. It's big and heavy, it is pretty expensive, and the door is a trip hazard. For me, I enjoy it but do plan to also buy a smaller, lighter tent in the future to have more space for other items.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Got this tent a as a gift years ago very durable and amazing to set up and tear down. Always catches people's attention how quick you set it up.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Never had issues with mine, but the center of the walls have guy outs. Never felt the need to use them but I'm sure that would get you through about anything
r/CampingGear • Can anyone suggest a tent that is easy to put up and pack down ->Bought this a few years ago and i absolutely love it! It sets up so fast. The only cons for me is the size of it when it’s all folded up, but I just throw it on the roof of the the rig when traveling.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I got one and like it so far.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I LOVE it and it's held up amazingly, even in significant rain storms. My priority is to minimize set up and tear down time, while being able to stand up fully inside, and it's amazing on all of those points. People always talk smack about the rain fly, but I honestly wonder how many of them have actually used it in rain or if some are just judging based on appearance. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ I've had it in 1 moderate rain storm, two heavy rain storms, and one absolutely crazy, 6-hour thunderstorm downpour. In both the heavy storms friends in other, well regarded, tent brands had leakage, and we had none. In the thunderstorm, we had some leaking through the zipper of the door we weren't using. The next morning I discovered that one of the zipper flaps had gotten stuck folded all the way up, leaving that zipper completely unprotected. I'm sure if I'd thought about checking it, we'd have been able to solve that problem and eliminate the leaking.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->It is just as quick to set up and take down as its reputation implies. Getting it back in the carry bag can be challenging. It can hold a queen size air mattress with room left over on one side. I’m 6’3” and I can stand fully upright inside at the center. Packed it is a rigid 67” x 8” x 8”, there’s no fudging it into a smaller space. All in all, for car camping I consider it money well spent.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Gazelle T4 hub tent. It’s on sale on their website for 239 I believe. I picked mine up for 252 and I love it. Sets up in about 3 minutes. Only thing I don’t like is the orange color lol
r/CampingGear • First time camper question ->Not for my. Several times under heavy Rain and was great
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->I have a T4 and their gazebo. Both have been great in all weather and easy set up and take down. The only downside to them is how long they are packed up. Makes it a bit harder to stay minimal when packing in and out.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Gazelle T4 hub tent. Easiest set up and take down. My kid can do it herself (she’s 8). Plenty of room for 2 people and gear. It’s a car camping kind of tent, so you can have 2 cots with plenty of room for other things. Lots of windows, large doors, warm when the weather gets chilly. Best part is the floor. You can remove it for easy cleaning as needed.
r/camping • Easy set up tents ->I have an 6 person Gazelle tent for my wife and myself. It allows us to stand up and have plenty of room.
r/camping • Is it worth it as a couple to buy a "bigger" tent for car camping? ->
