"sets up in under 3 min including stake out time. ... Take down is just as fast and it fits in its storage bag with out much fuss. ... set up in under 90 seconds 120 if you putting in stakes."
"I hate setting up camp. So this was a big win for me, because I can have this setup in just a few minutes."
"It goes up in literally like 10 seconds"

"The footprint of the floor is a square for the T4 hub tent, so you should find the available space easy to work with, even with mattress. ... We have the T4 plus, which is just two squares with a room divider. We use cots and there is room for 5 and the dogs."
"I have the T4 too and use it just for myself when car glamping!!! Cot/bed, table, dresser, chair, rug - it’s so awesome"
"I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it."

"Been in some nasty weather and is excellent. ... never leaks"
"Both have been great in all weather"
"I have been in severe thunderstorms in the Outer Banks of NC and snow storms in Utah in the T4. The tent has always kept us safe, comfortable, and dry."

"Durability - have had 0 issues. 2 years, quit a bit of camping in hot and cold (well, down to 30)."
"Highly recommend the Gazelle T4, I've been using it for ~5 years now and it's holding up great."

"It's held up to 50 MPH winds and torrential rain."

"traveling with it is painful. ... The pack size is huge and heavy."
"the packed size, it's fkn big ... You really need to be sure you can fit it in your car or be prepared to strap it to the top. ... When I had a Jeep, it BARELY fit! Bottom right corner. When I shut the tailgate, it would nudge it and that was having to move the passenger seat up as far as I could and still be able to sit in the seat."
"It's about the size of 12 by 12 popup shelter folded up."

"Constantly leaks"
"I had a Coleman instant tent for 13 years with no leaks. One trip to the same campground with the T4, leak, and bugs. It made me sad. ... Yep, it leaked for me the first time I used it. Colorado mtn storms can be crazy, but short."
"also, it does not hold up well in down pours, water seeps in through the seems"

"But for a tent that caters to taller folks, the door sucks for taller folks... at 6'1" i'm always tripping getting in and out of it."
"the door is a trip hazard"
"My only gripe is that I will bust my butt on the triangle doors EVERY SINGLE TIME."

"You have to make sure to guy out the hubs in strong winds, and the more horizontal the guy line can be the better, or else wind can collapse the hub. I'm taking 15-20mph plus wind. Was in 30-40mph gusts and it held up, but I'd guyed out the hub the direction the wind was coming from with two guy lines, each as horizontal as I could get them, 45 degrees from each other."
"Another concern is high winds. I have used it in steady winds up to 25 mph with higher gusts, but I had to tie out the hubs with guy lines, using two lines per hub to give better holding power, and also I swapped out the stakes to more heavy duty all metal spikes which I bring a hammer to hammer into the ground."
"Also wind is an issue, I'm talking about 20+ mph winds - the hub will collapse in fairly easily if not guyed out. ... When I guy it out well, the tent hub hasn't collapsed in 30+ mph winds."

"Oh, and I ditched the stakes that came with it and instead use heavy, all metal spike stakes."
"the six L-shaped takes that come with the the footprint suck."
Yes they are legit. We have had a T4+ for close to 5 years now.
r/CampingGear • Recommendations for a car camping tent for two people that you can stand up in. $500 budget. ->I will second Gazelle. To clarify, the T8 has been discontinued, but there is the T4Pus/tandem that gives you a screen room. My wife and I overland with the T4Plus and love it. It's great having the extra room, especially if the weather turns nasty.

Easy to setup Quality and durability have never been an issue for me or people I know. I'm sure someone somewhere will be like "they are junk". Condensation control is going to depend on the weather as there is plenty of vents. Might be better off with 2 T4's from Gazelle.
r/CampingGear • Looking for a new tent in 2025 ->It's worked for me. I can see the door design being a pain for people. It has kept out light rain and dew. As far as bugs....you're camping. I would just work my way around the perimeter of the tent and make sure that the velcro is seated together.
r/camping • Buyer Beware Gazelle T4 Overland Edition Tent ->I'm only one season and 3 uses in but, so far my T4 has been great. Only real downside is it's bulk. It's long and heavy. But it's a castle of a tent.
r/camping • Are Gazelle Tents worth it? ->Got this tent a as a gift years ago very durable and amazing to set up and tear down. Always catches people's attention how quick you set it up.
r/camping • Gazelle T4 Hub Tent?? ->Gazelle T4, North Face Wawona or Big Agness Big House. Agree the T4 is a bear to.load and carry. We use our Wawona a ton once we learned how to set it up hahaha
r/camping • Best way to sit up in tent ->Your not alone I literally just got mines last week set it up in the backyard and a spider crawled in I spent $700 and they’re telling me to duct tape the seams like why tf would I put duct tape on a brand new $700 tent ????
r/camping • Buyer Beware Gazelle T4 Overland Edition Tent ->I love my Gazelle. From the inside, it has a smiling face. https://preview.redd.it/q1pj3tjxh9de1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76c1a899f46a5a1e9502a4754044d726496ff4b3
r/camping • Looking for a functional, but aesthetically pleasing, tent. ->Gazelle T4 Tandem Hub tent. Durable and big enough for your needs and sets up in minutes. I have one and love it
r/camping • Tent for a family of 6 ->Tried the Gazelle, liked it until I put it away on the first trip and 2 out of 4 metal sheath ends for the rain fly poles went loose into the dirt. Terrible quality for the price, went back to REI and got the Nemo Aurora.
