I just returned the ROVE R2-4K. I even cant see the plate in front of 10 fts during daytime. I plan to try A229 plus dual.
I've got a Rove R2-4K in my Rav4. Is this one better?
[ROVE R2-4K](https://www.reddit.com/r/recsmatter/comments/1pxvfvr/rove_r24k_dual_pro_dash_cam_amazons_1_bestselling/) for front + back, solid choice. I’d recommend pairing it with a hardwire kit so it can record all day while parked without you having to plug/unplug anything
I got the rove r2-4K for mine. Both front and rear cameras. Easy set up, came with a trim tool that worked well. The only thing I will say, it’s inconvenient to look up previous recorded videos, but not too bad considering I’m only going to do it in the event of an accident.
I have the Rove R2-4K and am very happy with it. https://www.rovedashcam.com/products/rove-r2-4k-car-dashcam
I use the ROVE R2-4K. It's a basic front view dashcam that I just use with a card. I like that it's easy to install to the windshield and easy to remove.
I got the ROVE R2-4K recently and love it...its supercapacitor based so no issues of lithium batteries heating up. And the day and night quality is very good, I upgraded from an Aukey DR02 which I had for over 5 years to this and it's quite good so far.
I have a Rove 4K dash cam in my 2013 Highlander and it works really well. I have a FitCamX in my 2020 Corolla hybrid and it works well but it doesn’t have the screen and some of the other bells and whistles of the Rove. I like that the fitcam looks factory but if you’re wanting something with a little bit more bells and whistles the Rove is nice
I have a Rove R2-4K in my Highlander and I really like it. I connect it to the mirror for power. I think I paid about $200
I have a Rove R2-4K and only just started using the parking mode. I tested, and it does come on and start recording when the g sensor is triggered even with the ignition off and key removed. Mine is a bit older and is a single cam, but it says when I enable parking mode that it has an internal power source so no battery connection is required, but I did buy an ODB power adapter so the wire wasn't visible going to the USB port. I like mine so much that I bought a dual cam rove r2 for my wife's car and just bought a sl third one for my brother for Christmas. Got both (dual cam versions) for $99 and they came with a micro sd card that works fine for now but will probably replace the card sooner than if I bought a better quality one. Video quality is pretty good even on the rear cam.
I have the ROVE r2-4k front and Rear facing.... my previous came was the same brand but it was only the front facing one. I might take it back out and put back in my car to use as a cabin cam, since I haven't sold it to anyone...
