ROVE

R2-4K Series

TL;DR: Simple 4K value, but video quality disappoints some.

I've got a Rove R2-4K in my Rav4. Is this one better?

I have two different brands for two cars. Both are 4k front and 1080p rear. This one is very slim profile and quality is pretty nice. REDTIGER Dash Cam Front Rear,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098WVKF19?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share For my van I have the Rove R2 ROVE R2-4K DUAL Dash Cam Front... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6J5B98H?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Then I added this dongle to make the front cam more discreet and less wiring. [ROVE R2-4K](https://www.reddit.com/r/recsmatter/comments/1pxvfvr/rove_r24k_dual_pro_dash_cam_amazons_1_bestselling/) for front + back, solid choice. I’d recommend pairing it with a hardwire kit so it can record all day while parked without you having to plug/unplug anything

I own 3 of these today. Normally they are around $150 - $160 when I’ve bought them. Seems like a great price to me.

I have a Rove r2-4k dual and no issues. Got it on the last prime day so have not had it that long but no issues so far.

Beware of Fitcamx on my previous car; it slowly drained my battery over six months while the car was off. I have been using a [Rove R2-4k Pro](https://www.amazon.com/ROVE-R2-4K-PRO-Dashcam-Supports/dp/B0BZRKRBHP) since May in my MK 8.5, which can be hardwired into the Fuse box or connected to the 12V port, and haven't had any issues.

I got the rove r2-4K for mine. Both front and rear cameras. Easy set up, came with a trim tool that worked well. The only thing I will say, it’s inconvenient to look up previous recorded videos, but not too bad considering I’m only going to do it in the event of an accident.
